Abstract
BACKGROUND Low-intensity shockwave therapy (Li-SWT) can improve bladder function through enhancement of angiogenesis and nerve regeneration and suppression of inflammation and overactivity. In this trial, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy of Li-SWT on persistent storage symptoms after transurethral surgery (TUS) for benign prostatic obstruction (BPO). METHODS Between July 2020 and July 2022, 137 patients with persistent storage symptoms; urgency episodes/24 h ≥ 1 and daytime frequency ≥8, for at least three months after TUS for BPO were randomly allocated to Li-SWT versus sham versus solifenacin 10 mg/day in 3:1:1 ratio. The primary end point was the percent reduction from baseline in overactive bladder symptom score (OABSS) at 3-month follow-up. The changes in 3-day voiding diary parameters, quality of life (QoL) score, peak flow rate and residual urine at 3 and 6-month follow-up were compared. Treatment-related adverse effects were also evaluated. RESULTS Baseline data were comparable between groups. The percent reduction from baseline in OABSS at 3-month follow-up was significantly higher in Li-SWT compared to sham (-55% versus -11%), and it was comparable between Li-SWT and solifenacin-10 (-55% versus -60%). Li-SWT achieved significant improvement like solifenacin-10 in 3-day voiding diary parameters and QoL score at 3-month follow-up. This improvement remained comparable between Li-SWT and solifenacin-10 at 6-month follow-up. No adverse effects related to Li-SWT were noted apart from tolerable pain during the procedure. Solifenacin-10 was associated with bothersome adverse effects in 73% of the patients with 11.5% discontinuation rate. CONCLUSIONS Li-SWT ameliorates persistent storage symptoms and promotes QoL after TUS for BPO, with comparable efficacy and better tolerance compared to solifenacin.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Around 16% of adults have symptoms of overactive bladder (OAB; urgency with frequency and/or urge incontinence), with prevalence increasing with age. Anticholinergic drugs are commonly used to treat this condition. This is an update of a Cochrane Review first published in 2002 and last updated in 2006. OBJECTIVES To assess the effects of anticholinergic drugs compared with placebo or no treatment for treating overactive bladder syndrome in adults. SEARCH METHODS We searched the Cochrane Incontinence Specialised Register, which contains trials identified from the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), MEDLINE, MEDLINE In-Process, MEDLINE Epub Ahead of Print, ClinicalTrials.gov, WHO ICTRP and handsearching of journals and conference proceedings (searched 14 January 2020), and the reference lists of relevant articles. We updated this search on 3 May 2022, but these results have not yet been fully incorporated. SELECTION CRITERIA We included randomised or quasi-randomised trials in adults with overactive bladder syndrome that compared an anticholinergic drug alone with placebo treatment. DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS Two review authors independently assessed eligibility and extracted data from the included studies, including an assessment of the risk of bias. We assessed the certainty of the body of evidence using the GRADE approach. We processed data as described in the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions. MAIN RESULTS We included 104 studies, 71 of which were new or updated for this version of the review. Although 12 studies did not report the number of participants, there were 47,106 people in the remainder of the included studies. The majority of the studies had insufficient information to allow judgement of risk of bias and we judged them to be unclear for all domains. Nine anticholinergic drugs were included in these studies: darifenacin; fesoterodine; imidafenacin; oxybutynin; propantheline; propiverine; solifenacin; tolterodine and trospium. No studies were found that compared anticholinergic drugs to no treatment. At the end of the treatment period, anticholinergics may slightly increase condition-specific quality of life (mean difference (MD) 4.41 lower, 95% confidence interval (CI) 5.28 lower to 3.54 lower (scale range -100 to 0); 12 studies, 6804 participants; low-certainty evidence). Anticholinergics are probably better than placebo in terms of patient perception of cure or improvement (risk ratio (RR) 1.38, 95% CI 1.15 to 1.66; 9 studies, 8457 participants; moderate-certainty evidence), and the mean number of urgency episodes per 24-hour period (MD 0.85 lower, 95% CI 1.03 lower to 0.67 lower; 23 studies, 16,875 participants; moderate-certainty evidence). Compared to placebo, anticholinergics may result in an increase in dry mouth adverse events (RR 3.50, 95% CI 3.26 to 3.75; 66 studies, 38,368 participants; low-certainty evidence), and may result in an increased risk of urinary retention (RR 3.52, 95% CI 2.04 to 6.08; 17 studies, 7862 participants; low-certainty evidence). Taking anticholinergics may be more likely to lead to participants withdrawing from the studies due to adverse events (RR 1.37, 95% CI 1.21 to 1.56; 61 studies, 36,943 participants; low-certainty evidence). However, taking anticholinergics probably reduces the mean number of micturitions per 24-hour period compared to placebo (MD 0.85 lower, 95% CI 0.98 lower to 0.73 lower; 30 studies, 19,395 participants; moderate-certainty evidence). AUTHORS' CONCLUSIONS The use of anticholinergic drugs by people with overactive bladder syndrome results in important but modest improvements in symptoms compared with placebo treatment. In addition, recent studies suggest that this is generally associated with only modest improvement in quality of life. Adverse effects were higher with all anticholinergics compared with placebo. Withdrawals due to adverse effects were also higher for all anticholinergics except tolterodine. It is not known whether any benefits of anticholinergics are sustained during long-term treatment or after treatment stops.

Abstract
Introduction Overactive bladder (OAB) is a common condition, increasing with age and affecting quality of life. While numerous OAB drugs are available, persistence is low. We evaluated evidence published since 2012 to determine if newer drugs provided better efficacy and harm profiles. Methods We searched MEDLINE and the Cochrane Library from 2012 to September 2018 using terms for included drugs and requested information from manufacturers of included drugs. We performed dual review of all systematic review processes, evaluated study quality, and conducted meta-analyses using random effects models. Results In addition to 31 older studies, we included 20 trials published since 2012 (N = 16,478; 4 good, 11 fair, and 5 poor quality). Where statistical differences were found, they were clinically small (reductions of < 0.5 episodes/day). Solifenacin plus mirabegron improved efficacy outcomes over monotherapy with either drug, but significantly increased constipation compared with solifenacin and dry mouth compared with mirabegron. Solifenacin reduced incontinence over mirabegron and tolterodine and urgency episodes over tolterodine. Mirabegron did not differ from tolterodine in efficacy but had significantly lower incidence of dry mouth than solifenacin or tolterodine. Fesoterodine showed significant improvements but also anticholinergic effects vs. tolterodine. Oxybutynin, solifenacin, and tolterodine had similar efficacy, but dry mouth led to greater discontinuation with oxybutynin. Blurred vision, cardiac arrhythmia, and dizziness were uncommon. Conclusion New evidence confirms small, but clinically uncertain, differences among monotherapies and also between combination and monotherapy, regardless of statistical significance. While drugs mainly differed in incidence of dry mouth or constipation, none provided improved efficacy without increased harms. Abstract
OBJECTIVES The aim of this study is to compare the re-treatment probabilities after a 3-month versus a 6-month course of antimuscarinic treatment for women with overactive bladder syndrome (OAB). STUDY DESIGN A prospective randomized controlled study. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES Between-group differences in the probability of re-treatment for OAB between the 3-month and 6-month groups. METHODS Women with OAB were randomly allocated to receive solifenacin (5 mg per day) for a treatment interval of either 3 or 6 months. RESULTS Ninety-one patients were treated in each group. The probability of re-treatment did not differ between the 3-month and 6-month groups (P = 0.11). Parity (hazard ratio = 1.81, P = 0.001), number of incontinence episodes (hazard ratio = 1.09, P = 0.008) and suboptimal response (hazard ratio = 3.56, P = 0.006) were independent predictors of re-treatment of OAB. Physical limitation, as indicated on the King's Health Questionnaire, was the only independent factor predicting completion of the scheduled treatment period (odds ratio = 1.01, P = 0.008). CONCLUSIONS Prolonged antimuscarinic treatment does not decrease the need for re-treatment of OAB. Nonetheless, female patients with increased parity, more severe incontinence and a suboptimal response to antimuscarinic treatment are more likely to seek re-treatment of OAB due to recurrence of symptoms. In addition, patients with more serious physical limitation related to OAB are more likely to complete the scheduled treatment period. These findings could serve as a guide in clinical consultations regarding antimuscarinic treatment and if taken into consideration in future studies could lower the dropout rate.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome is common in the general population, particularly in elderly patients. Antimuscarinic drugs (AMs) are considered the mainstay pharmaceutical treatment of OAB whereas β3-adrenoceptor agonists, such as mirabegron, represent a good alternative. Owing to the important role of muscarinic and β3 receptors in cardiovascular (CV) tissue and to the fact that OAB patients often have CV comorbidities, the safety-profile of these drugs constitute an important challenge. AREAS COVERED The aim of this review is to evaluate the CV effects of AMs and mirabegron in OAB. A systematic literature search from inception until December 2017 was performed on PubMed and Medline. EXPERT OPINION AMs are generally considered to have good CV safety profile but, however, they may cause undesirable adverse events, such as dry mouth, constipation. CV AEs are rare but noteworthy, the most common CV consequences related to the use of these drugs are constituted by an increase in HR and QT interval. Mirabegron has similar efficacy and tolerability to AMs but causes less adverse events, with either modest hypertension and modest increase in HR (<5 bpm) being the most commonly reported.

Abstract
AIM We aimed to clarify the impact of night-time dosing with tolterodine extended release (ER) on nocturia. METHODS The bladder diaries, urodynamic studies, and medical records of female patients with overactive bladder syndrome who were diagnosed between January 2005 and December 2015, and treated with tolterodine ER 4 mg once per day (night-time or daytime dosing) for 12 weeks in the urogynecology outpatient clinics of two tertiary referral centers were reviewed retrospectively. RESULTS A total of 72 female patients were reviewed. Thirty-six patients were in the daytime dosing group, and the other 36 patients were in the night-time dosing group. In the daytime dosing group, a decrease in the volume of fluid intake was found at 06.00-12.00, 12.00-18.00, and 18.00-24.00 hours, and a decrease in total voided volume was found at 12.00-18.00, 18.00-24.00, and 24.00-06.00 hours with a between-group difference at 18.00-24.00 hours (coefficient = 542 mL, P = 0.01). In the night-time dosing group, an increase in voided volume per micturition was found at 06.00-12.00 and 24.00-06.00 hours with a between-group difference at 24.00-6.00 hours (coefficient = 92 mL, P = 0.003) compared with the daytime dosing group. Nonetheless, pre-treatment proportions of nocturnal polyuria did not differ from post-treatment proportions (night-time: 20% vs 20%, P = 1.00; daytime: 48% vs 42%, P = 0.48). Decreases in the number of voiding and urgency episodes at nearly all time periods and increases in the volumes at strong desire to void were also found in both groups. CONCLUSION Night-time dosing of tolterodine ER may benefit female patients suffering from nocturia due to a greater voided volume per micturition at midnight.

Abstract
AIM The augmentation of late sodium current (INa.L) not only causes intracellular Na+ accumulation, which results in intracellular Ca2+ overload via the reverse mode of the Na+/Ca2+ exchange current (reverse-INCX), but also prolongs APD and induces early afterdepolarizations (EAD), which can lead to arrhythmia and cardiac dysfunction. Thus, the inhibition of INa.L is considered to be a potential way for therapeutic intervention in ischemia and heart failure. In this study we investigated the effects of tolterodine (Tol), a competitive muscarinic receptor antagonist, on normal and veratridine (Ver)-augmented INa.L, reverse-INCX and APD in isolated rabbit ventricular myocytes, which might contribute to its cardioprotective activity. METHODS Rabbit ventricular myocytes were prepared. The INa.L and reverse-INCX were recorded in voltage clamp mode, whereas action potentials and Ver-induced early afterdepolarizations (EADs) were recorded in current clamp mode. Drugs were applied via superfusion. RESULTS Tol (3-120 nmol/L) concentration-dependently inhibited the normal and Ver-augmented INa.L with IC50 values of 32.08 nmol/L and 42.47 nmol/L, respectively. Atropine (100 μmol/L) did not affect the inhibitory effects of Tol (30 nmol/L) on Ver-augmented INa.L. In contrast, much high concentrations of Tol was needed to inhibit the transient sodium current (INa.T) with an IC50 value of 183.03 μmol/L. In addition, Tol (30 nmol/L) significantly shifted the inactivation curve of INa.T toward a more depolarizing membrane potential without affecting its activation characteristics. Moreover, Tol (30 nmol/L) significantly decreased Ver-augmented reverse-INCX. Tol (30 nmol/L) increased the action potential duration (APD) by 16% under the basal conditions. Ver (20 μmol/L) considerably extended the APD and evoked EADs in 18/24 cells (75%). In the presence of Ver, Tol (30 nmol/L) markedly decreased the APD and eliminated EADs (0/24 cells). CONCLUSION Tol inhibits normal and Ver-augmented INaL and decreases Ver-augmented reverse-INCX. In addition, Tol reverses the prolongation of the APD and eliminates the EADs induced by Ver, thus prevents Ver-induced arrhythmia.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Details on the therapeutic effects of long-term antimuscarinic therapy have not been reported. Thus, the aim of this study is to evaluate the detailed long-term therapeutic effect of antimuscarinic therapy. METHODS All consecutive patients who visited the urologic outpatient clinics of a medical center for treatment of overactive bladder syndrome and received antimuscarinic therapy of 12 months or more were retrospectively reviewed. All medical records, including the Overactive Bladder Symptom score (OABSS), the modified Indevus Urgency Severity Scale and the International Prostate Symptoms score (IPSS) questionnaires, and uroflowmetry parameters were reviewed at each visit. RESULTS A total of 140 patients had received 12 months or more of antimuscarinic therapy. Sustained therapeutic effects were observed by persistent decreases of IPSS-storage score, IPSS-total score and OABSS score. Moreover, the maximum flow rate did not change over time. A temporary increase in postvoid residual volume and decrease in voiding efficiency were found, but these parameters improved over long-term visits. Side-effects were observed in 81 patients (57.9%) and included dry mouth (n = 58, 41.4%), constipation (n = 48, 34.3%) and blurred vision (n = 4, 2.9%); all side-effects were tolerable. Patients aged 75 years or more (n = 94) had a higher comorbidity rate (n = 46, 48.9%) before treatment but generally exhibited similar therapeutic effects as overall patients; elderly patients could also tolerate side-effects. CONCLUSION Sustained therapeutic effects were observed in patients who received 12 months or more of antimuscarinic therapy, even in elderly patients. In addition, side-effects in patients receiving long-term therapy were also common but tolerable.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION We assessed clinical and urodynamic effects of solifenacin versus mirabegron in women with overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome. MATERIAL AND METHODS Eighty women with OAB were randomized into 2 groups. In group A, the patients received solifenacin 5 mg once a day for 12 weeks; in group B, the patients received mirabegron 50 mg once a day for 12 weeks. Symptoms were assessed with OAB Symptom Score (OABSS). Patients underwent urodynamic investigation with pressure flow study. OABSS and urodynamic study were performed before and after treatment. RESULTS Both solifenacin and mirabegron were effective in improving OAB symptoms. Mirabegron showed greater tolerability with fewer patients discontinuing therapy because of side effects. Both solifenacin and mirabegron were effective in improving the storage function in the pressure flow study, but solifenacin showed a significant reduction of the detrusor pressure in the voiding phase with an increase in the postvoid residual urine volume. CONCLUSIONS Mirabegron has shown to be a drug with the better balance between efficacy and tolerability in women with OAB.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Urinary incontinence in men is a significant and often underappreciated problem. Men can have urgency and or stress incontinence. Urgency incontinence as part of the overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome and can often coexist with benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) in men and the initial treatment of this is conservative lifestyle changes and then medical therapy. AREAS COVERED This literature review aims to cover synthetic drugs currently utilised to treat urinary incontinence in men that are phase III and onwards. Neurological incontinence and surgical treatment options for male urinary incontinence are beyond the scope of this review. EXPERT OPINION The most common form of urinary incontinence in men is urgency incontinence secondary to an OAB, which often co-exists in men, with bladder outflow obstruction (BOO). The pharmacotherapy options to treat OAB include antimuscarinics, β3 agonists and phosphodiesterase inhibitors. Antimuscarinics and β3 agonists are effective in treating OAB, and have been found to have no increased urinary retention risk in the group of patients with co-existing BPO. Emerging medications include the alternative β3 agonists - solabegron and ritobegron. The future may include novel combinations of these therapies.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION AND HYPOTHESIS Our aim was to evaluate the impact of anticholinergic load on urinary retention based on postvoid residual (PVR) on micturition study. Secondary objectives were to assess the effect of anticholinergic load on other urodynamic parameters. METHODS This was a retrospective cohort study of women who underwent urodynamics (UDS) at one academic institution. All medications being taken by the women at the time of UDS were scored using the anticholinergic risk scale (ARS). This validated scale assigns rank scores to each medication based on its anticholinergic potential. Women were dichotomized into two anticholinergic cohorts: low (0-1) or high (≥2) ARS scores. RESULTS During the study period, 599 women underwent UDS. ARS scores ranged from 0 to 8, with 440 (73.5 %) having low (≤1) and 159 (26.5 %) having high (≥2) scores. For our primary outcome of micturition PVR, there was no difference between low and high ARS groups (66.8 ± 108.6 ml vs. 78.6 ± 121.0 ml, p = 0.25). There was also no difference between ARS groups in other voiding function parameters. Sensitivity analyses did demonstrate a difference in micturition PVR, with ARS 0-4 (n = 583) vs. ARS ≥ 5 (n = 16): 68.3 ± 109.1 ml vs. 127.5 ± 185.7 (p < 0.01) ,as well as maximum cystometric capacity (MCC): 420.8 ± 181.3 ml vs. 526.1 ± 252.4 ml (p = 0.02). CONCLUSIONS Despite the prevalence and risks associated with the use of medications with anticholinergic properties, a cumulative effect on bladder function was only demonstrated with very high anticholinergic risk scores of ≥5.

Abstract
Acupuncture is used extensively in China for the treatment of stroke and other neurological disorders. The National Institutes of Health recommends acupuncture as an adjunctive therapy for stroke recovery. This study included patients with post-stroke detrusor overactivity who were treated in the Department of Neurology, Fourth Hospital of Harbin Medical University, China. Subjects received either electroacupuncture or sham electroacupuncture at points Baliao [including bilateral Shangliao (BL31), bilateral Ciliao (BL32), bilateral Zhongliao (BL33), and bilateral Xialiao (BL34)] and Huiyang (BL35). Our results showed that electroacupuncture significantly improved cystometric capacity and bladder compliance, decreased detrusor leak point pressure, ameliorated lower urinary tract symptoms, and decreased the risk of upper urinary tract damage. These findings indicate that electroacupuncture at points Baliao and Huiyang is an effective treatment for post-stroke detrusor overactivity.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to compare the changes in urinary symptoms and urodynamic parameters after administration of tolterodine in women with an overactive bladder (OAB). MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-eight women diagnosed with OAB and treated with tolterodine were reviewed. Urinalysis, pelvic examination, 3-day bladder diary, urodynamic study, and a personal interview to identify urinary symptoms prior to and 3 months after treatment were recorded and interpreted. RESULTS Most of our patients were menopausal (76.3%; mean age 55.7 years) and multiparous (mean parity 3.3) women. Urinary symptoms such as urinary frequency, urgency, urge incontinence, and nocturia were decreased significantly (p < 0.05). All urodynamic parameters did not change significantly except for the maximum cystometric capacity (p < 0.05), showing a significant increase after 3 months of medication. CONCLUSIONS Tolterodine, at a recommended dose, improves the symptoms of OAB syndrome without causing urine retention, as proved by the changes of urodynamic parameters.

Abstract
Accurate assessment of patient bladder capacity is important in determining the proper initial treatment for lower urinary tract dysfunctions and as well as for monitoring therapeutic outcomes. However, urodynamic study is an invasive procedure. Thus, it is important to find a surrogate for invasive urodynamic study, and the aim of this study is to identify the parameter from patient-recorded bladder diary that is best correlated to the volume at strong desire to void (VSD) derived from urodynamic studies. A total of 900 women who underwent urodynamic studies at a university hospital between January 2009 and December 2011. Correlation between bladder diary parameters and VSD was investigated by Spearman rank-correlation coefficient. Days 1 to 3 average maximum daytime voided volumes excluding the first morning void (DVVmaxavg) (mean 263 ml) had the highest correlation with VSD (mean 261 ml; ρ = 0.51, p<0.001). The predictive value of VSD was 146+0.44 × DVVmaxavg. The days 1, 2, and 3 daytime maximum voided volumes excluding the first morning void (DVVmax) were all significantly associated with VSD and had similar mean volumes (ρ = 0.43–0.46, all p<0.001). DVVmaxavg had the highest area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (0.75; 95% confidence interval = 0.72–0.78) for predicting bladder oversensitivity. The threshold of DVVmaxavg <250 ml had good predictive value for detecting bladder oversensitivity (sensitivity 70.9%; specificity 65.8%), and day 1 DVVmax <250 ml had similar sensitivity (70.6%) and specificity (59.1%). Besides, the correlation coefficients (ρ) between day 1, day 2 and day 3 DVVmax and DVVmaxavg were good with a range of 0.70–0.89. In conclusion, DVVmaxavg was the bladder diary parameter best correlated with VSD. DVVmaxavg and day 1 DVVmax may be useful in screening for bladder oversensitivity.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Overactive bladder (OAB) and its resultant urge urinary incontinence (UUI) are significant problems that medically, psychologically and financially affect people. The constellation of symptoms comprising OAB affects ∼ 16% of the adult population and its prevalence increases with aging. The typical class of medications used to treat OAB is antimuscarinics. AREAS COVERED OAB medications, with a focus on tolterodine for the treatment of UUI are reviewed. A thorough review of English language literature using EMBASE/Medline and PubMed has been performed. EXPERT OPINION Tolterodine provides a reasonable starting point when treating patients with OAB and UUI. Efficacy and tolerability are generally comparable between tolterodine and other newer antimuscarinics. Tolterodine is a good option as part of the algorithm in the treatment of OAB and UUI.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The potential impact of antimuscarinics (AMs) on cardiac function is a major concern in the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) patients, especially in older ones who are likely to present cardiovascular (CV) comorbidities and other risk factors that may predispose them to the adverse cardiac effects of this therapy. AREAS COVERED This article aims to review the literature on the impact on the CV system of AMs used in the treatment of OAB, giving a comprehensive explanation of the pathogenetic mechanisms of AMs' effects on CV system and the impact of each AM drug on cardiac function. EXPERT OPINION Although the CV safety of AM drugs seems to be good, evidence provided in this manuscript does not allow to exclude an increase in HR, QT prolongation or an increase in the CV risk due to drug-drug interactions in OAB patients who are usually elderly and have comorbidities. Clinical and electrocardiographic monitoring may be necessary throughout the administration period in selected populations such as patients aged > 80 years, those with coronary heart disease or congestive heart failure. Further studies are needed to understand whether the most recently developed AM drugs, such as imidafenacin, are safer than the old ones.

Abstract
STUDY DESIGN Retrospective analysis. OBJECTIVES To investigate the urodynamic effects of solifenacin treatment for neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO) in patients with spinal cord injury (SCI). SETTING Paraplegic center in Switzerland. METHODS Retrospective analysis of case histories and urodynamic data of 35 SCI patients receiving solifenacin for treatment of NDO between 2008 and 2012. Patients were categorized as being at risk of renal damage when maximum detrusor pressure was >40 cm H2O or detrusor compliance was <20 ml cm(-1) H2O. RESULTS Solifenacin treatment was initiated 7.3 years after SCI. Most patients (63%) had already been taking other antimuscarinic drugs. After 13.1 months (median, interquartile range 6.1-19.5 months), solifenacin treatment had resulted in significant (P<0.03) improvements in bladder capacity (median +30.0 ml), maximum detrusor pressure (median -7.0 cm H2O), reflex volume (median +62.5 ml) and detrusor compliance (median +25.0 ml cm(-1) H2O). Furthermore, fewer patients presented with a risk of renal damage. However, this difference was not significant (P>0.1). The number of patients suffering from incontinence had not changed significantly. Eight and two patients discontinued solifenacin treatment as a result of insufficient efficacy and intolerable adverse events, respectively. One patient had discontinued solifenacin treatment without further explanation. CONCLUSION Solifenacin treatment significantly improved bladder capacity, detrusor compliance, reflex volume and maximum detrusor pressure. Solifenacin treatment seems to be an effective oral treatment of NDO after SCI.
