Abstract
The nursing profession has been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and nurses continue to suffer emotionally and psychologically. The purpose of this study was to describe the experiences of chronic and ongoing occupational psychological trauma nurses have endured during the COVID-19 pandemic to present day. Eight nurses were interviewed between November 2022 and April 2023. Data were analysed utilising Hsieh and Shannon's conventional content analysis. Study findings are reported via the Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research guidelines. Four themes were identified: (1) organisational perils and pitfalls, (2) unstable professional and personal life, (3) an ongoing emotional and psychological battle and (4) restoration is possible. Nurses' descriptions of ongoing suffering encompassed organisational and individual factors. Organisational factors included increasing workloads and reduced staffing. Individual factors included nurses' concerns regarding mental health and well-being. Nurses expressed a desire for organisational efforts to prevent burnout through solutions that improve organisational and individual factors. Findings can inform the development and testing of interventions to support nurses and promote nurse well-being.

Abstract
Shared trauma (ST) is a term historically applied to social work experiences, but other healthcare professionals (HCP) also experience ST. With the occurrence of COVID-19, ST has impacted HCP globally and has led to new discoveries and more questions regarding its scope, impact and duration. This article aims to explore the concept of ST applied to nurses in light of COVID-19 using the Rogers and Knafl Evolutionary Model for Concept Analysis. Further examination and evolution of 'shared trauma', particularly during COVID-19, has led to the development of an adapted model to explore the implications of ST on health-related outcomes for nurses.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The composition of care teams is crucial for delivering patient-centered healthcare, yet assembling a well-balanced team remains a challenge. This difficulty stems from the intricate dynamics of team capacity, culture, context, and the demands of the job. The current literature offers limited guidance for decision-makers on how to effectively navigate these dynamics to compose a balanced care team. METHODS We conducted a systematic scoping review of literature spanning from 2009 to 2022. The aim was to identify factors that significantly influence the work environment, team performance, nursing outcomes, and patient outcomes within healthcare settings. Our review focused on extracting and synthesizing evidence to uncover these influencing factors. RESULTS Our analysis identified 35 factors that play a significant role in shaping the work environment and influencing team performance, nursing outcomes, and patient outcomes. These factors were categorized into nine key domains: workload, leadership, team composition, stress and demands, professional relationships, safety, logistics and ergonomics, autonomy and responsibility, and transparency and task clearness. CONCLUSIONS To improve patient care and nursing job satisfaction, policymakers and decision-makers can consider these influencing factors in the design and management of care teams. The findings advocate for strategic adjustments in these domains to enhance a team's balance. Furthermore, our review underscores the need for further research to fill the identified gaps in knowledge, offering a directive for future studies into optimal care team composition. This systematic approach to team composition can significantly impact patient outcomes and nurse satisfaction, providing a roadmap for creating more effective and harmonious teams.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The Shared Trauma Professional Post Traumatic Growth Inventory (STPPG) was developed by Tosone et al. (2014) to help understand shared trauma (ST) in social workers. ST occurs when the healthcare professional and client both experience the same collective traumatic event. This inventory has been adapted for use with mental health nurses. A cross-sectional study of N = 552 mental health nurses was completed in the spring of 2023 to assess the feasibility of using the STPPG to explore shared trauma in mental health nurses. METHODS An exploratory factor analysis was run for the STPPG using squared multiple correlations with the maximum likelihood method. RESULTS The alpha coefficient ranged from 0.82 to 0.89 for 2-factors and 0.73 to 0.89 for 3-factors. The results indicated that all correlations were significant among the total scales and subscales. All correlations were positive, ranging from 0.81 to 0.95 for two factors and 0.58 to 0.89 for three factors. CONCLUSION The STPPG has confirmed a two-factor analysis for mental health nurses. The STPPG is a valid inventory to measure ST in mental health nurses and will allow the concept to be further studied.

Abstract
Purpose We explored the influence of the "Ten new guidelines" on healthcare workers' preparedness, work impact, personal life impact, concerns, and support in Taizhou, China. Methods A hospital-based self-administered online survey was conducted to investigate the levels of COVID-19 related experience among healthcare workers in December 2022. In total, 472 out of 2080 healthcare workers (22.7 % response rate) completed the questionnaires with valid responses. Stepwise linear regression was used to investigate the independence of factors associated with preparedness, work impact, personal life impact, concerns, and support. Results The results revealed that working position (p < 0.001), pressure (p = 0.005), and negative affect (p < 0.001) were significantly associated with preparedness. Working position (p = 0.015), number of children (p = 0.040), working years (p = 0.019), COVID-19 risk perception (p < 0.001), work overload (p < 0.001), and negative affect (p < 0.001) were significantly associated with work impact. In addition, COVID-19 risk perception (p < 0.001), work overload (p < 0.001), pressure (p = 0.002), history of COVID-19 infection (p = 0.008), and awareness of possible infectious time (p = 0.031) were significantly associated with personal life impact. COVID-19 risk perception (p < 0.001), negative affect (p < 0.001), and work overload (p = 0.020) were significantly associated with concerns. Sex (p = 0.020) and negative affect (p = 0.016) were significantly associated with support. Conclusion Negative affect was the most significant factor associated with COVID-19 related questions among healthcare workers under "Ten new guidelines" during COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Employment conditions in the care sector are changing, and precarious employment (PE) is becoming more widespread, manifesting as undervaluation, adverse leadership, work overload, and inadequate control over work. This study aimed to examine changes in psychosocial health, work well-being, PE, and calling over time and explore the effects of PE and calling on psychosocial health and work well-being. METHODS The longitudinal study collected follow-up panel data in the three time points (2020, 2022, and 2023) from care workers (n = 1502), linear mixed effects models. RESULTS PE decreased (β = - 0.02), and perceived work well-being increased (β = 0.04), but there were no change in psychosocial health (β = - 0.01) and calling (β = 0.01) during the three-year period. Younger (< 39) care workers perceived higher levels of PE and had poorer psychological health. Moreover, PE had a negative effect on psychosocial health (β = - 0.63) and work well-being (β = - 0.68) and calling had a positive effect on psychosocial health (β = 0.41) and work well-being (β = 0.49) in multivariate models. CONCLUSION PE conditions affect work performance and employee well-being and may threaten patient care; therefore, it should be further investigated in the care sector. It is noteworthy that calling still seems to be central in care work. The results deepen the understanding of the current shortage crisis in health and social care workplaces but can also provide keys to resolving the crisis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nurse managers and team co-workers' disruptive behaviors (DBs) are negatively associated with a perceived safe climate. Moreover, DBs are a risk factor for patients' safety. Yet, it remains unknown whether and to what extent these effects were prevalent in COVID-19 wards and among witnesses of DBs. DESIGN A cross-sectional study. METHODS A questionnaire was distributed on social networks and completed by nurses in various Israeli healthcare organizations using snowball sampling between October and December 2021. The questionnaire included seven previously published measures and a question checking whether the participants had worked in a COVID-19 ward. The minimal sample size for any analysis was 236. Hypotheses were tested with correlations and structural equation modeling. RESULTS DBs of nurse managers and team co-workers toward nurses were higher in COVID-19 teams. As hypothesized, DBs were negatively correlated with a safe climate and positively with patient safety (fewer errors). The data were consistent with a model suggesting that a safe climate is related to fewer DBs and DBs largely mediate the effects of safe climate on errors. Surprisingly and importantly, the strongest predictor of errors, including preventable mortality, is witnessing DBs and not being a victim of DBs. CONCLUSIONS DBs may impede open communication and collaboration among co-workers, particularly in COVID-19 teams. This study shows the links between nurse shaping of a safe climate, DBs toward nurses, and patient safety. CLINICAL RELEVANCE Nurse managers who create a safe climate and show zero tolerance for DBs could reduce the risk of errors in care.

Abstract
Healthcare sector organizations have long been facing the issue of productivity loss due to presenteeism which is affected by psychosocial safety climate (PSC) and work intensification. Presenteeism has visibly increased among nurses during COVID-19 pandemic period. Grounded in COR theory and sensemaking theory, the current study aimed to examine the role PSC plays as driver or moderator to reduce presenteeism by lessening work intensification over time and the impact of work intensification over time on presenteeism during the COVID-19 pandemic. Adopting a time-lagged research design, this study gathered data from randomly selected registered nurses, practicing in Québec, Canada in two phases, i.e., 800 at Time 1 and 344 at Time 2 through email surveys. The study results showed that (1) PSC reduces presenteeism over time by reducing work intensification at time 1; (2) PSC moderates the relationship between work intensification at time 1 and work intensification at time 2; and (3) PSC as moderator also lessens the detrimental effect of work intensification at time 2 on presenteeism at time 2. Presenteeism among nurses affects their health and psychological well-being. We find that PSC is likely an effective organizational tool particularly in crises situations, by providing an organizational mechanism to assist nurses cope (through a resource caravan, management support) with managing intensified work.
