Abstract
Background: Ovarian follicular cysts often resolve spontaneously, with giant forms being a rarity. Cases of giant ovarian follicular cysts in biological sisters without clear familial predisposition are even exceptional. Cases Presentation: Two biological sisters presented to our hospital with large pelvic masses in the setting of a clinical and biological hyperandrogenism. After surgical removal, pathology confirmed the diagnosis of ovarian follicular cysts. Recurrence was detected shortly after surgery, with both sisters displaying similar clinical courses. Chromosomal screening showed no abnormalities. Hormonal analysis revealed elevated anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), prolactin (PRL), and testosterone, alongside low FSH and LH levels. Family exome sequencing also showed no significant findings. After treatment with bromocriptine and short-acting contraceptive pills, the recurrent ovarian cysts resolved spontaneously, and hormonal levels returned to normal ranges. Conclusions: In women of childbearing age, it is important to conduct thorough endocrine evaluations and genetic screenings following the occurrence of large ovarian follicular cysts. Once endocrine levels are balanced, follicular cysts may decrease in size substantially, which helps to avoid unnecessary ovarian surgery.

Abstract
Background The increased secretion of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) by the growing follicles has been supposed as a determinative feature of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The diagnostic performance of AMH in PCOS is superior compared to the free androgen index (FAI) and luteinizing hormone (LH)/follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) quotient. We established age-dependent reference ranges to further improve the diagnostic performance of AMH. Methods In a cross-sectional study, in samples of 4712 reproductive age patients, ranging from 14 to 50 years, BMI, AMH and other reproductive hormones were determined by immunoassay or tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to calculate age-specific reference ranges and the diagnostic performance. Results Age-specific diagnostic performances for Elecsys® AMH, FAI and LH/FSH ratio were established in the reference group. No significant difference in BMI was found between the groups. AMH values were significantly negatively correlated with age (r = -0.628, p < 0.001) in patients with normal ovarian function, but there was no correlation between age and AMH levels in PCOS patients (r = - 0.041, p < 0.174). In all the study groups, AMH showed a weak correlation between FAI and LH/FSH ratio (r = 0.302, p < 0.001 and r = 0.434, p < 0.001, respectively). The sensitivity/specificity for AMH, FAI and LH/FSH ratio were 89/96%, 71/69% and 75/72%, respectively, according to the Youden index. Conclusions We determined the age-dependent reference ranges for serum AMH levels in a large population-based study and calculated the age-specific diagnostic performance of FAI and LH/FSH ratio, which allows physicians to evaluate patients with PCOS who have normal AMH levels. AMH is suggested as the strongest diagnostic marker in patients with PCOS compared to FAI and LH/FSH ratio.

Abstract
Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) are heterogeneous products of the non-enzymatic interaction between proteins and reducing sugars. Numerous studies have shown that AGEs are associated with senescence, diabetes, vascular disease, aging and kidney disease. Infertility has been affected approximately 10 to15% of couples of reproductive ages. AGEs accumulation has been shown to play a crucial role in pathogenesis of infertility-related diseases. The present review provides the generation process, mechanism and pathological significance of AGEs and the novel treatment targeting AGEs for infertility.

Polycystic ovary syndrome and endothelial dysfunction: A potential role for soluble lectin-like oxidized low density lipoprotein receptor-1. Reprod Biol 2020; 20:396-401. Abstract
The aims of this study were to investigate whether serum soluble lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor-1 (sLOX-1), oxidized LDL (oxLDL), paraoxonase-1(PON-1) and hydroperoxide (LOOH) levels are altered in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and also to determine if hyperandrogenism, insulin resistance (IR) and Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) are associated with endothelial dysfunction in PCOS. A total of 46 women with PCOS and 46 non-PCOS healthy controls were recruited. Women with PCOS had significantly higher sLOX-1, oxLDL and LOOH concentrations than non-PCOS women [6.16 (3.92-13.95) vs 1.37 (0.63-4.43) ng/mL, p < 0.001; 6.48 ± 1.03 vs 3.16 ± 1.02 μU/L, p < 0.001; 2.45 (1.45-3.45) vs 1.06 (0.64-1.56) μmol/L, p < 0.001]. The mean PON-1 level of PCOS group was lower than non-PCOS group (69.47 ± 10.75 vs 104.08 ± 21.43 U/mL, p < 0.001). There was no significant difference in terms of the sLOX-1, oxLDL, LOOH and PON-1 levels between normal weight and overweight PCOS women. On univariate logistic regression analysis, Ferriman-Gallwey scale (FGS), HOMA-IR and AMH were an independent predictors of high risk group of endothelial dysfunction markers (HR-EDm). Age and BMI were not associated with HR-EDm. When incorporated into the multivariate model, endotelial dysfunction markers independently correlated with clinical hyperandrogenism (FGS) but not with AMH. In conclusion, our results indicated that an increased concentration of sLOX-1 might be an early predictor of endothelial damage in patients with PCOS. Women with PCOS have elevated sLOX-1, oxLDL, LOOH and decreased PON-1 levels, independent of BMI. Endothelial dysfunction in women with PCOS is associated with hyperandrogenism. Further studies are required to confirm our findings.
