Abstract
PURPOSE The paucity of exercise rehabilitation services for cancer survivors indicates a research-to-practice gap. Dissemination and Implementation research addresses this gap by focusing on the adoption, implementation, and sustainability of evidence-based interventions. Dissemination, the active process of sharing research findings, is critical to the implementation of evidence-based practice. This systematic review examined adherence of exercise oncology trial protocols to the SPIRIT 2013 checklist items pertaining to dissemination planning, items 31a, 31b, and 31c, which address how dissemination is planned, authorship eligibility is considered, and what plans are in place to share data and the protocol. METHODS A systematic review was conducted following the PRISMA guidelines. EMBASE, MEDLINE, CINAHL, Web of Science-Core Collection, Google Scholar, and the Central Trial Registry via Cochrane were searched (16/05/2024). Title and abstract screening, full-text review, and data extraction were completed in duplicate. RESULTS Eighty-six trial protocols were included, thirty-one (36.1%) did not report dissemination plans. Item 31 was reported as follows (n = number of trials, frequency (%)); 31a plans to communicate trial results to: participants (n = 19, 22.1%), healthcare professionals (n = 43, 50%), the public (n = 25, 29.2%), and other relevant groups (n = 22, 25.6%), 31b: author eligibility (n = 3, 3.5%) and plans regarding use of professional writers (n = 4, 4.7%), and 31c plans for granting access to participant level dataset (n = 28, 32.6%), full protocol (n = 1, 1.2%) and statistical code (n = 1, 1.2%). Peer-reviewed journal (n = 41, 47.67%) and conferences/professional meetings (n = 38, 44.2%) were the most frequently reported planned dissemination strategies. CONCLUSION Reporting of the SPIRIT 2013 checklist Item 31 is generally low in exercise oncology trial protocols. Greater consideration of dissemination planning is required to support the implementation of exercise oncology research into practice. REGISTRATION https://doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/M8HFP.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION This study explored the self-leadership and evidence-based practice (EBP) beliefs among Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students and licensed physical therapists (PTs). REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE Evidence-based practice offers health care professionals a systematic approach to applying research to improve patient outcomes. Despite positive attitudes toward EBP, PTs often struggle to translate scientific knowledge into clinical practice. While many frameworks emphasize the importance of organizational leadership in EBP, self-leadership, directing oneself toward personal goals, remains underexplored. SUBJECTS The study included 860 participants: 158 DPT students, 235 early-career PTs with less than 10 years of clinical experience, and 467 late-career PTs with 10 or more years of experience. METHODS A cross-sectional online survey explored the relationship and group differences between Revised Self-Leadership Questionnaire scores and Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Beliefs Scale scores among physical therapists and DPT students. The statistical analysis approaches included Spearman's Rank Correlations, Kruskal-Wallis H tests, and multiple stepwise regressions. RESULTS Weak correlations existed between self-leadership and EBP beliefs in DPT students and late-career PTs, while a moderate correlation was observed in early-career PTs. Although self-leadership and EBP beliefs varied between groups, the differences were minor. Intrinsic DPT student and physical therapist characteristics showed minimal predictive value for EBP beliefs, highlighting the continued complexity of understanding EBP beliefs and implementation within the physical therapy profession. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION A persistent gap exists in understanding the clinician-specific factors influencing EBP beliefs in physical therapy. These findings emphasize the need to identify and cultivate factors positively affecting EBP adoption and self-leadership among physical therapists and students. Future research should look to understand the complex interplay between personal attributes and organizational dynamics to enhance EBP implementation in clinical practice.

Abstract
Over the last decades, resistance training (RT) has experienced a surge in popularity, and compelling evidence underpins its beneficial effects on health, well-being, and performance. However, sports and exercise research findings may translate poorly into practice. This study investigated the knowledge of Austrian gym-goers regarding common myths and truths in RT. Based on topical systematic reviews (n = 45), a digital questionnaire with 14 statements on RT methods and practices, randomly phrased as myths or truths, was administered to Austrians exercising in local fitness centres. Chi-squared tests were used to check if a majority correctly identified true and false statements. A total of n = 721 (30.1 ± 14 years, 454 males) out of n = 790 contacted individuals completed the survey (response rate: 91.2 percent). Five out of fourteen statements (truth: protein augments strength and hypertrophy, creatine augments strength, superiority of full- vs. partial-ROM RT for hypertrophy; myth: RT reduces flexibility, low-load, high-volume RT is as effective as high-load RT with regard to maximal strength) were identified correctly by a majority (p < .01). The awareness of the scientific evidence on RT is low among gym-goers. Upcoming studies should be geared to improve science communication.

Abstract
Individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) often exhibit lower levels of physical fitness compared to the general population, including reduced strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination. Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization (DNS) training can potentially improve the performance of adults with ID caused by weak motor skills due to a lack of desirable nerve growth during childhood and before puberty. Also, DNS training proposed to improve physical fitness in this population, but the effectiveness and durability of DNS training on specific fitness components have not been well-established. This study employed a randomized controlled trial design to investigate the effects of an 8-week DNS training program on the strength, endurance, and flexibility of adults with ID. A total of 31 participants were randomly assigned to either an intervention group (n = 16) or a control group (n = 15). Muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility were assessed at baseline (pre-test), immediately after the intervention (post-test), and 2 months following the intervention (follow-up) using the 30-second chair stand (30sCS) test, sit-ups test, trunk lift test, and chair sit-and-reach test. Participants in the intervention group engaged in the DNS training program for 8 weeks, with 3 sessions per week, while the control group maintained their usual activities. The analysis of the outcome measures revealed significant time, group, and time-group interaction effects. Post-hoc analyses indicated that the DNS group exhibited significantly greater improvements in 30sCS, sit-ups, trunk lift, and chair sit-and-reach compared to the control group (p < 0.01). These improvements were maintained at the 2-month follow-up assessment in the DNS group. This randomized controlled trial demonstrates that an 8-week DNS training program significantly improves muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility in adults with ID, with benefits maintained at a 2 month follow-up. Further research is needed to replicate these findings and investigate underlying mechanisms, but the study highlights the potential of DNS training to promote physical fitness and well-being in individuals with ID.Trial registration RTC, prospectively registered in the Clinical Trial Registry (UMIN000053560) on 24/03/2024.

Abstract
Through a national cross-sectional survey, the present study investigated the use and content of injury prevention training (IPT), and associated attitudes and beliefs, involving stakeholders in Danish girls' and women's elite football (U14, U16, U18, and Danish Women's League teams). A total of 168 stakeholders (coaches, physical performance coaches, physiotherapists, medical doctors, and club management) from 18 Danish elite clubs were invited to participate. Of these, 158 were eligible to participate, and 110 participants (69.6% response rate) provided 191 valid survey responses, as some provided more than one response due to multiple affiliations within the same club. The use of IPT ranged from 91.1% to 100% across team levels, with approximately 50% reporting up to 1-2 h/week. Interestingly, only 52.9%-72.7% of the responses indicated use of an evidence-based IPT program, with lowest adoption at the U14 and Danish Women's League teams. The FIFA 11+ was the most used evidence-based IPT program. The majority of the participants (>72%) had positive perceptions regarding IPT impact on injury reduction. These findings indicate that, while IPT is broadly used across Danish girls' and women's elite football teams, the implementation of evidence-based IPT programs varies, with lower adoption of these programs among the youngest and senior elite teams. Hence, there is a need to enhance integration of IPT programs proven effective in girls' and women's elite football. Notably, stakeholders expressed positive perceptions regarding the impact of IPT on injury reduction, which provides valuable support for future efforts to strengthen IPT in football practice.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Despite evidence supporting the efficacy of sport injury prevention programmes (SIPPs) in adolescents, implementation of SIPPs in community settings is low. This review aims to synthesise and integrate evidence on the efficacy of exercise-based SIPPs in reducing injury rates in adolescents with implementation strategies for such programmes in the community. DESIGN A systematic review with meta-analysis, narrative synthesis and meta-aggregation was conducted, followed by a convergent segregated approach to integrate the findings. Sensitivity and subgroup analyses were conducted. Study appraisal was performed using Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Checklists and Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool. DATA SOURCES Literature search of nine databases was carried out to identify studies in English from January 2012 to December 2022. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Included were randomised controlled trials (RCTs), qualitative or mixed-methods studies. Population included adolescents (10-19 years). Interventions included SIPPs. Outcomes were injury rate and rate ratio (IRR). Phenomena of interest were facilitators and barriers to the implementation of SIPPs. RESULTS 23 studies were included for analysis. Meta-analysis for 16 RCTs showed a protective effect of SIPP (IRR 0.63, 95% CI 0.53 to 0.74, p<0.00001) in adolescents. Meta-aggregation of seven qualitative/mixed-method studies revealed four sets of synthesised findings that impact implementation namely players' perceptions and beliefs, coaches as key facilitators, organisational support and characteristics of the SIPP. CONCLUSION Implementation of SIPPs provides a 37% risk reduction in adolescents but requires targeting key stakeholders through a top-down multifaceted approach for its efficacy to be translated. Future research should investigate the effectiveness of SIPPs and implementation strategies in adolescents in community settings.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate best practices for neuromuscular training (NMT) injury prevention warm-up programme dissemination and implementation (D&I) in youth team sports, including characteristics, contextual predictors and D&I strategy effectiveness. DESIGN Systematic review. DATA SOURCES Seven databases were searched. ELIGIBILITY The literature search followed Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. INCLUSION CRITERIA participation in a team sport, ≥70% youth participants (<19 years), D&I outcomes with/without NMT-related D&I strategies. The risk of bias was assessed using the Downs & Black checklist. RESULTS Of 8334 identified papers, 68 were included. Sport participants included boys, girls and coaches. Top sports were soccer, basketball and rugby. Study designs included randomised controlled trials (RCTs) (29.4%), cross-sectional (23.5%) and quasi-experimental studies (13.2%). The median Downs & Black score was 14/33. Injury prevention effectiveness (vs efficacy) was rarely (8.3%) prioritised across the RCTs evaluating NMT programmes. Two RCTs (2.9%) used Type 2/3 hybrid approaches to investigate D&I strategies. 19 studies (31.6%) used D&I frameworks/models. Top barriers were time restrictions, lack of buy-in/support and limited benefit awareness. Top facilitators were comprehensive workshops and resource accessibility. Common D&I strategies included Workshops with supplementary Resources (WR; n=24) and Workshops with Resources plus in-season Personnel support (WRP; n=14). WR (70%) and WRP (64%) were similar in potential D&I effect. WR and WRP had similar injury reduction (36-72%) with higher adherence showing greater effectiveness. CONCLUSIONS Workshops including supplementary resources supported the success of NMT programme implementation, however, few studies examined effectiveness. High-quality D&I studies are needed to optimise the translation of NMT programmes into routine practice in youth sport.

Abstract
Objectives To investigate the network of stakeholders involved in rugby union research across the globe. Methods Using author affiliations listed on scientific publications, we identified the organisations that contributed to rugby union research from 1977 to 2022 and examine collaboration through coauthorship indicators. We determined the locations and sectors of identified organisations and constructed a collaboration network. Network metrics, including degree centrality and betweenness centrality, are computed to identify influential organisations and measure intersector collaboration. Results There is an increase in scientific knowledge creation and collaboration between organisations for rugby union research over time. Among the sectors, the university, professional sports team and sports governing body sectors exhibit the highest intersectoral and intrasectoral density. Predominantly, influential actors are located in England, Australia, France, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa. Australian Catholic University, Leeds Beckett University, Stellenbosch University, Swansea University, University College London and the University of Cape Town emerge as influential actors between 2016 and 2022. Conclusions Our study underscores the ongoing growth of scientific knowledge generation in rugby union, primarily led by organisations in tier 1 rugby-playing nations within the university sector. Intersectoral collaboration with sports governing bodies plays a crucial role, acting as a broker between sectors. However, the overall collaboration landscape between and within sectors is low. These results highlight an opportunity for improved collaboration opportunities, as the organisations driving knowledge creation have been identified.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The aim of our study was to explore the contextual factors that affect the implementation of football injury prevention initiatives and the provision of effective injury management in the Irish Women's National League (WNL). METHODS We used a criterion-based purposive sampling approach to recruit coaches (n=7), players (n=17) and medical personnel (n=8) representing eight of the nine clubs in the WNL to participate in one-to-one semistructured interviews. Our study was located within an interpretivist, constructivist research paradigm. The interview data were analysed using reflexive thematic analysis. RESULTS The participants identified academic and work pressures, financial challenges, conflict with college football, inadequate facilities and gender inequity as being barriers to the implementation of injury prevention initiatives and the provision of effective injury management. Financial constraints within clubs were perceived to limit the provision of medical care and strength and conditioning (S&C) support and this was deemed to be associated with a heightened risk of injuries. CONCLUSION Specific contextual factors were identified which curtail the implementation of injury prevention initiatives and the provision of effective injury management in elite-level women's club football in Ireland. Gender inequity was identified as one of the factors impacting the availability of high-quality medical care, S&C support, as well as access to training and match facilities. Our results provide new insights that could be used to inform the design and implementation of injury prevention and management initiatives for women football players in Ireland.

Abstract
PURPOSE Ultrashort wave diathermy (USWD) is commonly used in diseases associated with osteoarticular and soft tissue injuries. However, while accelerating wound healing and preventing joint stiffness, there have been few reports on whether it leads to excessive hypertrophic scarring. The aim was to investigate the effects of different doses of USWD on hypertrophic scars. MATERIALS AND METHODS A rabbit model of hypertrophic scars was used to determine which dose of USWD reduced scar hyperplasia. The scar thickness was calculated using Sirius red staining. All protein expression levels were determined by western blotting, including fibrosis, collagen deposition, and neoangiogenesis related proteins. Subsequently, flow cytometry and ELISAs were used to determine the proportions of macrophage and inflammatory levels. RESULTS The wounds with USWD in histopathology showed the dermis was more markedly thickened in the 120 mA group, whereas the wounds with the 60 mA were less raised, comparing with the 0 mA; all detected protein levels were increased significantly, the 120 mA group comparing with the others, including heat shock, fibrosis, and neoangiogenesis, whereas the collagen deposition relative protein levels were decreased, the 60 mA group comparing with Sham group; Finally, in the proportion of macrophages and inflammatory levels the 120 mA group were the highest, and the group Sham was lower than group 60 mA. CONCLUSIONS In hypertrophic scars, the 60 mA USWD could relieve scar formation and inflammatory reactions; however, higher doses could result in opposite consequences.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance (RE-AIM) framework can be used for evaluation of implementation initiatives in sports injury prevention. The aim was to evaluate the implementation of the injury prevention exercise programme Knee Control+ among amateur clubs and coaches in one regional football district using all five dimensions of the RE-AIM framework. METHODS Dissemination of Knee Control+ during the 2021 season with information and webinars within one regional football district. This was followed by a cross-sectional study with questionnaires to club personnel and coaches after the season. RESULTS The reach of Knee Control+ was fair to high, 83% of club personnel and 66% of coaches knew about the programme. 41% of club personnel and 51% of coaches had adopted it. Perceived programme effectiveness was high (6 on a 1-7 Likert scale) among coaches. Regarding implementation and maintenance, 27% of club personnel had informed coaches about Knee Control+ and 57% planned to inform coaches. The coaches had implemented the programme mainly as recommended, but half used the programme once per week or less. Intention to maintain use of the programme was high (7 on a 1-7 Likert scale) among coaches. CONCLUSION The reach of Knee Control+ was fair to high, and adoption was fair in clubs, but there was a lack of policies for preventive training. Active strategies probably need to accompany dissemination of programme material. Reach, perceived effectiveness, adoption, implementation and planned maintenance were positive among coaches, but further studies are needed to analyse long-term maintenance.

Abstract
There is an increasing need to accurately measure compressive force for biomedical and industrial applications. However, this need has not been fully addressed, as many sensors are bulky, have high power requirements, and/or are susceptible to electromagnetic interference. This paper presents an optoelectronics-based force sensor that can overcome the limitations of many sensors in the market. The sensor uses a light emitting diode (LED) to transmit visible broad-spectrum light into a photoresistor through an optically clear spacer on top of an elastomeric medium. In the absence of an external force, the light path is mostly blocked by the opaque elastomeric medium. Under a compressive force, the clear spacer compresses the elastomer, moving itself into the light path, and thus increasing the overall light transmission. The amount of light received by the photoresistor is used to quantify compressive force based on elastomer displacement/compression and a priori knowledge of elastomer stiffness. This sensing scheme was tested under eight different configurations: two different sized sensors with four types of elastomers per size (20A neoprene, 30A neoprene, 50A neoprene, and 75A styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR)). All configurations measured force with R2 > 0.97, RMSE < 1.9 N, and sensitivity values ranging from 17 to 485 N/V. This sensing scheme provides a low-cost, low-power method for accurate force sensing with a wide force range.

Abstract
The topic of physical therapy has concerned widely among the developed scholarly works but little in the developing context, thus this study pursues to explore the role of level of knowledge of both sports and physical education teachers in the area of physical therapy in context of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The study was a descriptive in its nature and through using the questionnaire, the data collected from Jeddah City in Saudi Arabia for further perceptions in this topic. A total of 98 participants involved in this study, and the results showed the majority of the participants had adequate knowledge about the important role and potential benefits of the physical therapy in their workplaces. The implications provided of this study indicate the need to integrate the training sessions of the physical therapy into sports events and activities to avoid injuries and improve rehabilitation and treatment of these injuries once occurred. For further exploration of this issue a larger with different sample is needed to fulfill the research gaps in this field.

Abstract
While there is a multitude of evidence supporting the efficacy of injury prevention training programmes, the literature investigating the implementation of these programmes is, in contrast, rather limited. This narrative review sought to describe the commonly reported barriers and facilitators of the implementation of injury prevention training programmes among athletes in organised sport. We also aimed to identify necessary steps to promote the uptake and sustainable use of these programmes in non-elite athletic communities. We identified 24 publications that discussed implementing evidence-based injury prevention training programmes. Frequently reported barriers to implementation include the perceived time and financial cost of the programme, coaches lacking confidence in their ability to implement it, and the programme including exercises that were difficult or confusing to follow. Frequently reported facilitators to implementation include the coach being aware of programme efficacy, shared motivation to complete the programme from both coaches and athletes, and the ability to easily integrate the programme into practice schedules. The current literature is focused on high-income, high-resource settings. We recommend that future studies focus on understanding the best practices of programme dissemination in culturally and economically diverse regions. Programmes ought to be of no financial burden to the user, be simply adaptable to different sports and individual athletes and be available for use in easily accessible forms, such as in a mobile smartphone application.

Abstract
Despite vast evidence supporting the effectiveness of lower extremity injury prevention programs in a variety of sport settings, age groups, and levels of competition, there is limited evidence on implementation strategies that positively impact the feasibility, scale-up and sustainability of such programs. Sport-related injury prevention is affected by the research-to-practice gap, a pervasive issue in healthcare, where high-quality experimental research is not used in routine clinical practice. An intervention shown to be efficacious in a controlled environment, such as a lab or in a field-study conducted by scientists, will demonstrate a decline in benefit when implemented in the intended clinical setting. Real-world considerations, such as foundational knowledge and training, time constraints, or end user motivation, influence the quality and consistency of implementation. Acknowledging and addressing implementation barriers in a systematic way is essential to promote effective program dissemination. Study design methods that measure both clinical effectiveness and implementation strategies need to be identified. Hybrid effectiveness-implementation designs simultaneously measure both an intervention's effect on clinical outcomes as well as critical information related to implementation strategy; however these study designs are not frequently utilized. The purpose of this mini-review is to describe: the basics of hybrid designs, rationale for using hybrid designs, and examples of how these designs could be used in athletic healthcare injury prevention research.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To systematically review and summarize the knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and contextual perceptions of youth sport coaches toward injury-prevention training programs by using the Theoretical Domains Framework to guide the organization of results. DATA SOURCES Systematic searches of PubMed and Google Scholar were undertaken in November 2021. STUDY SELECTION The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses protocol was followed. Results were limited to full-text articles that were published in peer-reviewed journals and printed in English. Additional studies were added after a citation search of included studies. Studies were eligible for inclusion if researchers evaluated youth sport coaches' knowledge, beliefs, contextual perceptions, or all 3 of anterior cruciate ligament injury-prevention training programs. DATA EXTRACTION Data charting was performed by 1 author and confirmed by a separate author. DATA SYNTHESIS Of the 1194 articles identified, 19 were included in the final sample. Among articles in which researchers assessed knowledge (n = 19), coaches' awareness of the existence and components of injury-prevention training programs was inconsistent. Among articles in which researchers assessed beliefs (n = 19), many coaches had positive attitudes toward injury-prevention training programs, but few believed youth athletes are at a high risk of injury. Among articles in which researchers assessed contextual perceptions (n = 13), many coaches did not feel they had access to information about injury-prevention training programs and cited a lack of time, space, support, and other resources as barriers to implementation. CONCLUSIONS Our findings support the need for programs, protocols, and policies to enhance knowledge of and support for youth sport coaches who wish to implement injury-prevention training programs. A gap exists in the research about addressing the needs of youth sport coaches in the United States high school sports setting. The use of multilevel implementation science frameworks (such as the Theoretical Domains Framework) will be beneficial for identifying constructs that affect implementation and developing train-the-trainer programming to meet the needs of individual youth sport coaches.

Abstract
Background and aim Despite evidence of their efficacy, there is no widespread adoption of injury prevention exercise programmes (IPEPs) among young players and coaches in community rugby union. The purpose of this study was to (1) analyse the knowledge and perceptions of injury prevention and IPEPs among staff, parents and players in youth rugby union and (2) explore the facilitators and barriers to implementation of IPEPs. With this contextual information, tailored implementation strategies can be created. Methods Participants completed an online survey addressing knowledge and perceptions of injury risk, injury prevention practices and a rugby-specific IPEP. Community rugby union players aged 14-18 years, their parents and staff were invited to participate, including school-based and development squads competing at a national level. Results Surveys were completed by 18 staff members, 72 parents and 56 players. Staff, parents and players believe that the risk of injury in youth rugby union is high and that injury prevention is important. The perceived role in injury prevention and availability of allied health staff, particularly strength and conditioning coaches, was apparent in this sample. Reported barriers to completion of IPEPs related to time, resources, awareness of the programme and end-users' attitudes or motivations. Leadership, the use of role models and the structure and routine provided by an IPEP were considered facilitative. Conclusions These findings inform future implementation strategies for IPEPs in this setting, including the need to provide practical solutions, education and considering the role of allied health staff in facilitating such programmes.

Abstract
This study aimed to explore how stakeholders in athletics perceived the relevance of injury prevention, determine their communication preferences, and describe their expectations regarding injury prevention. We conducted a cross-sectional study using an exploratory online survey with high-level athletes (i.e., listed by the French ministry of sports), non-high-level athletes (i.e., all competitive level except high-level athletes), coaches, and health professionals licensed with the French Federation of Athletics. There were 2,864 responders to the survey. Almost all responders found that injury prevention is relevant (97.7% [95% CI 97.0% to 98.2%]), without any significant differences in the distribution between stakeholders' age, experience and sex (p > 0.05). About three-quarters of the stakeholders preferred to find injury prevention information on a website (77.4%) without significant differences between stakeholders' categories (p > 0.05); other media to find injury prevention information was chosen by less than 50% of responders. Expectations about injury prevention were mainly explanations, advice and tips about injury knowledge, management and prevention, based on expert opinion and/or scientific research. In conclusion, these results confirm that injury prevention is a challenge shared by numerous stakeholders in athletics, within France, and provide some orientation on how and what information to disseminate to these stakeholders.

Abstract
Introduction: Transvaginal sonography is the first-line imaging technique to diagnose endometriosis, but magnetic resonance imaging is more accurate in staging the extent of lesions, especially for deep pelvic endometriosis. The revised American Society for Reproductive Medicine and Enzian classifications are commonly used to stage the extent of endometriosis. However, a review underlined their weaknesses in terms of complexity, lack of clinical reproducibility and low correlation with surgical complications and fertility outcomes. Thus, to this day, in clinical practice, there is a lack of consensual, standardized or common nomenclature to stage the extent of endometriosis, posing a worldwide challenge. Objectives: The aims of our study were to: (i) develop a new classification (entitled Endo-Stage MRI) based on patterns of endometriosis as observed with magnetic resonance imaging; (ii) compare results with those of the rASRM classification; (iii) estimate the Endo-Stage MRI accuracy to predict the rate of surgical complications; and (iv) propose an Endo-Stage MRI system of triage (low, intermediate, high) that correlates with the risk of surgical complications. The goal is to improve the effectiveness of care pathways and allow for the planning of a multidisciplinary approach when necessary. Patients and methods: A single-center observational study using available clinical and imaging data. According to anatomical locations and the extent of endometriotic lesions, a standardized classification comprising six stages of severity (0–5) was designed. Results: A total of 751 patients with pelvic endometriosis underwent surgery from January 2013 to December 2018 in a tertiary care university hospital. Their Endo-Stage MRI classification was correlated with: (i) the rate of overall complications (grade I–IV Clavien-Dindo classification, (ii) the rate of major complications (grades III–IV) and (iii) the rate of voiding dysfunction requiring self-catheterization lasting more than one month. According to the Endo-Stage MRI classification, stages 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 were observed in 26 (3%), 156 (21%), 40 (5%), 22 (3%), 290 (39%) and 217 (29%) patients, respectively. Using the proposed Endo-Stage MRI system as triage, low (stages 0–2), intermediate (stages 3–4) and high-risk (stage 5), complications were observed in 29 (13%), 109 (34.9%) and 103 (47.4%) patients, respectively. In multivariate analysis, the Endo-Stage MRI system of triage was strongly predictive of surgical complications and achieved higher accuracy than the revised American Society for Reproductive Medicine classification (AUC: 0.78 (95% CI, 0.76–0.80) vs. 0.61 (95% CI, 0.58–0.64)). Conclusion: Our study proposes a new imaging classification of endometriosis coined Endo-Stage MRI classification. The results suggest that when applied to a clinical situation, it may improve care pathways by providing crucial information for identifying intermediate and/or high-risk stages of endometriosis with increased rates of surgical complications. To make this classification applicable, a multicentric validation study is necessary to assess the relevancy and clinical value of the current anatomical MRI classification.

Abstract
Markerless motion capture using deep learning approaches have potential to revolutionize the field of biomechanics by allowing researchers to collect data outside of the laboratory environment, yet there remain questions regarding the accuracy and ease of use of these approaches. The purpose of this study was to apply a markerless motion capture approach to extract lower limb angles in the sagittal plane during the vertical jump and to evaluate agreement between the custom trained model and gold standard motion capture. We performed this study using a large open source data set (N = 84) that included synchronized commercial video and gold standard motion capture. We split these data into a training set for model development (n = 69) and test set to evaluate capture performance relative to gold standard motion capture using coefficient of multiple correlations (CMC) (n = 15). We found very strong agreement between the custom trained markerless approach and marker-based motion capture within the test set across the entire movement (CMC > 0.991, RMSE < 3.22°), with at least strong CMC values across all trials for the hip (0.853 ± 0.23), knee (0.963 ± 0.471), and ankle (0.970 ± 0.055). The strong agreement between markerless and marker-based motion capture provides evidence that markerless motion capture is a viable tool to extend data collection to outside of the laboratory. As biomechanical research struggles with representative sampling practices, markerless motion capture has potential to transform biomechanical research away from traditional laboratory settings into venues convenient to populations that are under sampled without sacrificing measurement fidelity.

Abstract
In sport and exercise medicine, increasing pressure to improve athlete health outcomes and performance with limited resources has prompted an emphasis on innovation. A key component to innovation is stakeholder participation and engagement, that is, the involvement of those affected by the outcomes, such as end users and actors (the person(s) performing the required actions/behaviour change), of the research process. Several research frameworks in sport and exercise medicine highly recommend stakeholder engagement as part of the research process. There are, however, different levels to how engaged a stakeholder can be in a research project, and this level of engagement may be dependent on the researchers' goals. Stakeholder engagement can be organised on a continuum based on the stakeholder's relationship to the research and how involved they are in the project's decision-making process. This continuum can be used as a rating scale to evaluate and monitor the degree of perceived stakeholder participation in a research project. There are different paths to innovation in research, which are interlinked, and ideas and knowledge flow between them. Considering the continuum of stakeholder engagement and paths to innovation, this article highlights how different research types require different degrees of stakeholder engagement.

Abstract
Research contributing to the understanding of the mechanisms that underpin cryotherapy application in sport are evident. The translation of impactful findings that contribute to the design and implementation of cryotherapy protocols which are advantageous to the athlete in an applied sport setting, however, are still being explored. The role of cryotherapy for acute sport injury management is challenged in recent literature and discrepancies around the periodisation of cooling to maximise injury management or recovery, contribute to the confusion around optimal applications of cryotherapy in sport. The purpose of this work was to provide a contemporary summary of current perspectives, challenges and approaches for the use, application and translation of cryotherapy evidence into applied practice in a sporting context. The intention being to stimulate further debate on the topic and highlight key considerations for future study designs that reflect current practices. For improved translation of evidence for or against the use of cryotherapy in sport, it is suggested that future study design and methodologies should reflect contemporary demands within sporting environments where cryotherapy protocols for injury, rehabilitation or recovery are a feature of athlete management through investigation of individual response, and multi-measures of wellbeing and performance.
