Abstract
An institutional review board-approved retrospective review of 55 patients who received cardiac MRI within 1 year of myocardial SPECT was performed. Forty-nine demonstrated myocardial infarction by MRI. MRI and SPECT agreed in all but 1 case, where SPECT preceded MRI by 97 days. Three cases are presented here: 2 demonstrating congruent MRI and SPECT changes in a vascular distribution status post infarction and a third with a nonvascular pattern of abnormalities related to left ventricular aneurysm in cardiac sarcoidosis. It is useful to review and correlate myocardial SPECT with available cardiac MRI, especially in patients with matching perfusion defects.

Abstract
Myocardial infarction may be complicated by the formation of a left-ventricular aneurysm that distorts the normal elliptical geometry of the ventricle to produce a dilated spherical ventricle with limited contractile and filling capacities. One of the consequences is congestive heart failure, which may be refractory to medical therapy and require surgical treatment. Surgical methods to restore the volume and shape of the left ventricle have evolved over the years. Nevertheless, although surgery for left-ventricular aneurysms has been performed for almost 50 years, the most appropriate approach is still controversial. This review gives an overview of the postinfarction left-ventricular aneurysm, tackling issues from the disease itself to surgical and other techniques of ventricular remodeling.

Abstract
PURPOSE To characterize retinal macroaneurysm, which although rare, has been reported as a specific complication of ocular sarcoidosis. METHODS Ninety-seven sarcoidosis patients with intraocular inflammation diagnosed at the Uveitis Clinic of Tokyo Medical University Hospital between 1997 and 2006 were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS Retinal macroaneurysm was found in nine eyes of seven patients (7.2%). The mean patient age at onset was 61 years, similar to the reported onset age in patients with macroaneurysm not associated with ocular sarcoidosis. Most aneurysms developed in the chronic phase, and not in the early phase, of ocular sarcoidosis. Two patients (29%) were affected bilaterally. Five of nine eyes (56%) had multiple lesions. Unlike retinal macroaneurysm not associated with sarcoidosis, which is usually solitary and unilateral, rates of bilateral and multiple lesions were high. CONCLUSIONS The clinical features of retinal aneurysm associated with ocular sarcoidosis are considerably different from those of unilateral macroaneurysm not associated with sarcoidosis.
