Abstract
The aim of our study was to measure the levels of 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, malondialdehyde, and antioxidant enzymes in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer prior to treatment to determine how these evaluated biomarkers are associated with cervical cancer recurrence and to estimate their potential in further research and clinical use. MATERIALS AND METHODS The study included 45 female patients with newly diagnosed advanced cervical cancer who underwent concomitant chemoradiotherapy. The blood and urine samples were collected prior to treatment, between December 2013 and April 2016, and subsequent laboratory analysis was performed. After the medium follow-up of 29 months, the patients were divided into 3 groups according to the time of disease recurrence. A statistical analysis was performed in order to evaluate the relationship between the previously measured biomarkers and recurrence. RESULTS Taken individually, the parameters of oxidative stress did not reveal significant differences between the three groups in our study. Nevertheless, the catalase and glutathione S-transferase activities were the best predictors of the recurrence. Based on the activities of these two oxidative enzymes, it was possible to separate the group of patients without recurrence after follow-up from the other two groups of patients with recurrent disease. CONCLUSIONS The parameters of oxidative stress have a certain predictive value on the outcome of patients with advanced cervical cancer after concomitant chemo-radiotherapy.

Abstract
Background. Brachytherapy is an important component of cervical cancer (CC) treatment paradigm, so scientometric studies in this area are very relevant.
Purpose – to assess the current state and development trends of cervical cancer brachytherapy te
chnologies through a scientometric analysis of scientific publications.
Materials and methods. Uses the scientometric method of document analysis. The analysis was carried out using the Scopus digital resource for the period 2012–2022. Evaluation of the found documents was carried out according to the following indicators: dynamics of publications, country, author of the publication, publication institution, source and sponsor who financed the work.
Results. Based on the results of the study, 694 documents were found, the distribution of which determines the growth of publications in 2016 (71 documents), 2018 (84 documents), and 2021 (86 documents). The distribution by country made it possible to establish the United States as the leader, followed by India, Japan, France, China. Over the past 5 years, China has moved from fifth place to second, which it shares with India. Among the institutions involved in the development of cervical cancer brachytherapy technologies, Med. University Wien, Austria, Tata Memorial Hospital, India, Institut de Cacy Cackologie Gustave Roussy, France. The most active scientists were singled out: Pötter R., Haie-Meder C., Mahantshetty U., and Tanderup K. Mahantshetty U., Tanderup K. International scientific communications of scientists have been established to address issues of improving the methods of gynecological brachytherapy, in particular cervical cancer, as well as active sponsors. The main scientific sources on the subject of cervical cancer brachytherapy are the journal «Brachytherapy».
Conclusion. An assessment of the current state and development trends of cervical cancer brachytherapy technologies is given, leading countries, organizations, and scientists involved in the development of new most effective brachytherapy technologies are identified, 20 most cited publications and 5 most cited scientists involved in the development of cervical cancer brachytherapy issues are revealed.

Abstract
Background Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a high-risk etiological factor for cervical and ovarian carcinomas. p16 protein can be used as a surrogate biomarker for HPV infection in high-risk tumors. A strong correlation between HPV infection and programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) protein expression has consistently been reported. Objective Given this background, this study investigates the prevalence, prognostic and clinicopathologic features of HPV-related epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) for the last 10 years in Northeast China to elucidate the involvement of p16 in the PD-L1 protein expression, tumorigenesis, and progression of EOC. Methods Specimens from 310 patients diagnosed with EOC collected from 2006 to 2016 were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for HPV DNA, and overexpression of p16 by immunohistochemistry was also evaluated. Statistical analysis was performed to estimate the significant difference between HPV positive and negative patients, the correlation among HPV state, p16 and PD-L1 expression, and clinical presentation. Results Overexpression of p16 protein and HPV DNA were present in 100 (32.3%) of the 310 cases, and correlated with high PD-L1 expression. There was a good concordance between HPV positivity, p16 protein overexpression and PD-L1 expression. The etiological fraction of HPV in EOC is substantially higher in Northeast China than other cohorts previously reported. Conclusion Our study demonstrates that HPV infection and p16 overexpression is significantly associated with PD-LI expression in EOC, through the cooperative roles of dendritic cells (DCs) and IFN-γ, which may represent a promising strategy for therapeutic intervention in EOC.

Abstract
Background The Uygur is the fifth most populous ethnic group in China. Compared to other Chinese population, cervical cancer in them had high incidence, and HPV infection also was particular. Their HPV integration situation has never been reported. We aimed to investigate the integration situation of 20 subtypes of HPV gene into host cell genome in Chinese Uygur cervical cancer patients; meanwhile, we explored the influence of gene integration on PD-L1 expression. Methods 40 frozen Chinese Uygur cervical cancer specimens with positive HPV infection were obtained from the cancer prevention and treatment institute of Tumor Hospital Affiliated to Xinjiang Medical University. The integration situation of HPV gene into host cell genome was detected by Agilent SureSelect™ Target Enrichment Chip and Next-Generation Sequencing. The related genes were analyzed by GO functional annotation and KEGG pathway enrichment. The expression levels of PD-L1 in cancer cells were tested by immunohistochemical assay (IHC). Meanwhile, the relationship between PD-L1 levels in cancer cells and gene integration were analyzed. Results The HPV multiple infection rate by HIVID was as high as 92.5%, much higher than 35.0% by the commercial kit (P < 0.05). There were 13423 integration events in 40 specimens, involving 6867 human genes. These integration events were distributed on all human chromosomes, and chromosome 19 had the excessive concentration phenomenon of integration events. There were some integration hotspots in human genome such as PPP1R37, HECW2, EMBP1, ANKRD50, SPTBN4, LINC00895, LYRM4-AS1, LINC00374, RBFOX1, CSMD1, CDH13, and KLHL4. Insertion breakpoints can be found in all gene regions of the HPV genome. The actual observation of the integration times of E1 and E6 was much higher than the expected value, while the actual observation times of E5 were much lower than the expected value. The result of GO functional analysis showed that binding molecular function and cellular process biological process were the main ways to influence the cell biological behavior of HPV gene integration. The enrichment pathway analysis of KEGG showed that pathways in cancer were the most important enrichment pathways involved in the genomic integration of HPV. The positive PD-L1 rate was 62.5%. Logistic regression analysis showed that 9p24.1 existing integration sites and the number of all gene integration were risk factors for PD-L1 expression (odds ratio 17.313 and 1.012; 95% confidence interval 1.691-177.213 and 1.001-1.023). Conclusions and Relevance. Most high-frequency sites of HPV integration in Chinese Uygur cervical cancer are related to cancer progression, and the gene integration hotspots may be potential HPV carcinogenic targets. The problem of multiple HPV infection in Chinese Uygur cervical cancer patients should be paid attention. L1 and E6 genes are inapposite as the target gene of commercial HPV type detection kit, because of high-frequency breakpoints in these genes. The gene integration especially the integration existing on 9p24.1 could affect the expression level of PD-L1.

Abstract
Zinc finger protein 667‐antisense RNA 1 (ZNF667‐AS1), located on human chromosome 19q13.43, is a member of the C2H2 zinc finger protein family. Herein, we aimed to analyze the interactions between ZNF667‐AS1, microRNA‐93‐3p (miR‐93‐3p), and paternally expressed gene 3 (PEG3) and to explore their roles in the tumorigenesis of cervical cancer (CC). Differentially expressed long noncoding RNAs and miRNAs related to CC were determined using gene expression datasets sourced from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. Subsequently, the regulatory relationships between ZNF667‐AS1 and miR‐93‐3p and between miR‐93‐3p and PEG3 were identified using the dual‐luciferase reporter gene assay. In addition, the expression of miR‐93‐3p and ZNF667‐AS1 was up‐ or downregulated in CC cells (HeLa), in order to assess their effects on cell cycle distribution and cell invasion in vitro, and tumor growth and metastasis in vivo. MiR‐93‐3p was found to be highly expressed, while ZNF667‐AS1 and PEG3 were poorly expressed in CC. ZNF667‐AS1 could competitively bind to miR‐93‐3p, which targeted PEG3. In addition, miR‐93‐3p downregulation and ZNF667‐AS1 overexpression led to increased expression of PEG3, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases, and p16 and decreased expression of cyclin D1, matrix metalloproteinase‐2 and ‐9. MiR‐93‐3p inhibition and ZNF667‐AS1 elevation also inhibited cell cycle entry and cell invasion in vitro, but repressed tumor growth and metastasis in vivo. These key findings demonstrated that upregulation of ZNF667‐AS1 could suppress the progression of CC via the modulation of miR‐93‐3p‐dependent PEG3, suggesting a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of CC.
