Urethral hemangioma: case report and review of the literature

Female Urethral Cavernous Hemangioma: Introducing Treatment and Follow-Up Course of Three Cases

Cavernous hemangioma is a benign vascular tumor occurring in all parts of the urinary system, including the kidney, bladder, prostate, ureter, and rarely urethra. Urethral cavernous hemangiomas are mostly seen in male patients, and only a few cases of female urethral hemangiomas are reported. Herein, we present the management and follow-up course of 3 cases of female urethral cavernous hemangioma. All 3 cases were menopause women complaining of lower urinary tract symptoms. Definitive diagnosis is made by histopathologic evaluation. In case of large or pedunculated masses, initial surgical resection is highly recommended. Regular follow-up of patients in order to prevent any recurrence is suggested.

A rare case of urethral hemangioma treated with LASER

Hemangiomas are benign vascular lesion, most commonly seen in liver and skin. Urethral hemangiomas are very rare benign vascular tumors with varying size and usually present as urethral bleeding or hematuria. We are presenting a 64 years old male, who was admitted to our Urology Department with symptoms of intermittent urethral bleeding for 6 months. We performed flexible cystoscopy under general anesthesia and a single hemangiomatous lesion of 7 mm in diameter located in the navicular fossa was found. The SIRIUS 60W Thulium Fiber Laser for removing the lesion was used.

Hemangioma of penile urethra - Treatment with intralesional triamcinolone

Hemangiomas are benign vascular lesion, most commonly seen in liver and skin whereas rarely found in genitourinary system. In genitourinary tract urethral hemangiomas are mostly found in males. A case of uretheral hemangioma in 18 years old boy who presented with history of painless bleeding per urethra since age of 3 years. Cystoscopy revealed multiple sub centric lesions in anterior urethra distal to verumontenum. Patient was treated with cystoscopic fulguration using diathermy. He started bleeding again on 3rd postoperative day, so intralesional triamcinolone was given. On follow up at one and three months he was asymptomatic.
