Abstract
A cognitive model for the development of the processing of social perspectives was designed to represent the relationships between various cognitive variables and the processing of social perspectives. Several of the relationships between the variables and perspective-taking, in particular, are discussed in detail. Empirical data obtained from studies investigating some of the hypotheses based upon the model are presented.
