Abstract
To investigate the impact of war situation on physical functioning, mental health status, and disease manifestations among endometriosis patients. Questionnaire-based study analyzing physical and psychosocial well-being. The study includes 50 endometriosis patients at Sheba Medical Center who completed a detailed questionnaire before and after the onset of the October 7, 2023, War in Israel. Significant deterioration in physical and mental health after the onset of war (pain score 6 vs 7; p < 0.001). Although having a first-degree relative affected by the war was associated with health deterioration (OR, 5.44; p = 0.02), similar pattern of health status aggregation was observed also in a subgroup of 19 women without family involvement, suggesting the general war situation as a likely cause. Starting new anti-anxiety or antidepressant medications and psychological therapy had a protective effect (OR, 0.21; p = 0.05). War situation exacerbates endometriosis symptoms, highlighting the importance of early psychological interventions to mitigate negative impacts.

Abstract
Background:
During the Covid-19 pandemic, people's lives worldwide have undergone extensive changes. The pandemic has worsened the condition of patients with chronic diseases like women with endometriosis.
Objective:
This study aims to summarize available evidence on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on physical symptoms, mental health, and medical care of patients with endometriosis.
Methods:
In the present integrative review using PRISMA guidelines, related articles published
from December 2019 to July 2023 in databases including MEDLINE, Science Direct, Scopus, and
Google Scholar in the English language were extracted.
Results:
After evaluating the criteria for inclusion and exclusion, a total of 23 articles were chosen
and examined. This study represents an open window to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on
women with endometriosis. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the symptoms, mental well-being, and medical care of women with endometriosis.
Conclusions:
There is a perceived necessity to provide supportive care for patients during pandemic restrictions. Remote work has had an unanticipated advantage, and it is recommended that women with endometriosis continue to work from home after COVID-19 to maintain their workplace
effectiveness.

Abstract
Endometriosis (EMS) is a prevalent gynecological condition characterized by the presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterus, often leading to secondary dysmenorrhea (SD), chronic pelvic pain and infertility. This review explores the intricate connection between EMS- associated pain and SD, focusing on the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying dysmenorrhea in EMS. Key contributors to pain include inflammation, aberrant immune responses, neurogenic inflammation, peritoneal irritation, peripheral sensitization, central sensitization and cross-organ sensitization. Understanding the pain pathways in EMS highlights the complexity of symptom manifestation and underscores the necessity for a multidisciplinary approach to management. Clinical manifestations, including chronic pelvic pain, dyspareunia, infertility, gastrointestinal and bladder symptoms, fatigue and malaise, are discussed, emphasizing the diverse impact of EMS on women's health. Various treatment modalities, ranging from pharmacological interventions to surgical and complementary approaches, are outlined to provide comprehensive management strategies for EMS-related menstrual pain/SD. This review aims to enhance understanding and facilitate the effective management of EMS-associated SD, ultimately improving the quality of life for affected individuals.

Abstract
To correlate pain-related phenotyping for central nervous system sensitization in endometriosis-associated pain with mental health outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic, the prospective Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Interdisciplinary Cohort (ClinicalTrials.gov #NCT02911090) was linked to the COVID-19 Rapid Evidence Study of a Provincial Population-Based Cohort for Gender and Sex (RESPPONSE) dataset. The primary outcomes were depression (PHQ-9) and anxiety (GAD-7) scores during the pandemic. The explanatory variables of interest were the Central Sensitization Inventory (CSI) score (0-100) and endometriosis-associated chronic pain comorbidities/psychological variables before the pandemic. The explanatory and response variables were assessed for correlation, followed by multivariable regression analyses adjusting for PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores pre-pandemic as well as age, body mass index, and parity. A higher CSI score and a greater number of chronic pain comorbidities before the pandemic were both positively correlated with PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores during the pandemic. These associations remained significant in adjusted analyses. Increasing the CSI score by 10 was associated with an increase in pandemic PHQ-9 by .74 points (P < .0001) and GAD-7 by .73 points (P < .0001) on average. Each additional chronic pain comorbidity/psychological variable was associated with an increase in pandemic PHQ-9 by an average of .63 points (P = .0004) and GAD-7 by .53 points (P = .0002). Endometriosis patients with a history of central sensitization before the pandemic had worse mental health outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a risk factor for mental health symptoms in the face of major stressors, clinical proxies for central sensitization can be used to identify endometriosis patients who may need additional support. PERSPECTIVE: This article adds to the growing literature of the clinical importance of central sensitization in endometriosis patients, who had more symptoms of depression and anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Clinical features of central sensitization may help clinicians identify endometriosis patients needing additional support when facing major stressors.

Abstract
This mixed-methods study used an online cross-sectional survey to explore perspectives of 533 adult Australian women living with endometriosis pain, and their relationship with biopsychosocial factors. Four themes were constructed: The primary theme, 'Stigma and change' reflected women's experience of dismissal, and the wish to reverse the narrative of pain as normal. Some women emphasised self-education and self-advocacy to affect change, reflecting the theme 'self-empowerment'. Participants described the 'debilitating impact' of endometriosis and the enduring difficulty of 'inadequate healthcare', reflecting themes three and four. Analysis indicated type of social support may impact perceived outcomes for endometriosis. Hierarchical regression analyses indicated too few significant relationships between biopsychosocial factors and themes to indicate meaningful patterns without risk of common method variance. Future research should explore the influence of social support and interventions which develop participant autonomy and practitioner competence and knowledge, using disease-specific measures over time.
