Abstract
OBJECTIVE To build and validate nursing diagnoses based on the International Classification of Nursing Practice (ICNP®) for premature newborns admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. METHOD Methodological study based on the Brazilian method for developing subsets: use of specialized nursing language terms, construction of diagnostic statements and content validation of the statements by 40 specialist nurses. Those with a Content Validity Index (CVI) ≥ 0.80, organized according to Wanda Horta's basic human needs theory, were considered valid. RESULTS 146 nursing diagnosis statements were constructed and 145 (93.3%) diagnoses were validated, with a predominance of the human need for cutaneous-mucosal integrity. CONCLUSION The specificity of neonatal care is evident when these diagnoses are presented and validated in order to support nurses in their clinical reasoning and decision-making.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The use of the standardised nursing language aims to accurately represent clinical practice, contributing to proper documentation and the creation of evidence-based practice. AIMS To validate nursing interventions (NI) for patients in palliative care, structuring these using the Dignity-Conserving Care Model. METHODS A methodological study was conducted, developed according to the recommendations of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and anchored in the Dignity-Conserving Care Model. The NI were developed in four stages: 1) construction of NI, based in the International Standards Organisation's standard (18.104:2014); 2) content validation by 26 expert nurses; 3) cross-mapping with the NIs contained in the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP®) catalogue, Palliative Care for Dignified Dying, to identify those already existing in the catalogue; and 4) structuring the NI based on the concepts of the Dignity-Conserving Care Model. FINDINGS 209 NI were validated and grouped into categories, namely: illness-related concerns; dignity-conservation repertoire; social dignity inventory. Of these, 183 were new and 26 already existed in the ICNP® Catalogue. CONCLUSION The study presents new insights into palliative care in Brazil and presents 183 new NI in addition to those already published by the ICN.

Abstract
This study aimed to analyze parents’ perspectives of the health education practice provided by health professionals to children and parents. This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach, based on the conceptual framework of health education provided by health professionals to children/young people and families. The selection took place by non-probabilistic sampling of convenience, and was developed with parents/users of health units for pediatric hospitalization and primary health care in northern Portugal. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews with 20 parents from March to April 2019, and were analyzed using the content analysis technique. Health education was understood to enhance health, and the evaluation was carried out according to planning and partnership. The most frequent topics were food, the national vaccination plan, and accident prevention. The evaluation shown is very positive, pointing to the nurse as the professional of choice for this practice and thus contributing to the visibility of nursing. We can state that the perspectives of parents about the health education carried out by health professionals show a practice that values health; is adaptable to the complexity of the binomial child and parents; is capable of influencing health determinants with sustainability, efficacy, and effectiveness; and gives visibility to nurses’ positions as health educators.
