Abstract
BACKGROUND Mobile apps designed for teaching human anatomy offer a flexible, interactive, and personalized learning platform, enriching the educational experience for both students and health care professionals. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to conduct a systematic review of the human anatomy mobile apps available on Google Play, evaluate their quality, highlight the highest scoring apps, and determine the relationship between objective quality ratings and subjective star ratings. METHODS The Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS) was used to evaluate the apps. The intraclass correlation coefficient was calculated using a consistency-type 2-factor random model to measure the reliability of the evaluations made by the experts. In addition, Pearson correlations were used to analyze the relationship between MARS quality scores and subjective evaluations of MARS quality item 23. RESULTS The mobile apps with the highest overall quality scores according to the MARS (ie, sections A, B, C, and D) were Organos internos 3D (anatomía) (version 4.34), Sistema óseo en 3D (Anatomía) (version 4.32), and VOKA Anatomy Pro (version 4.29). To measure the reliability of the MARS quality evaluations (sections A, B, C, and D), the intraclass correlation coefficient was used, and the result was "excellent." Finally, Pearson correlation results revealed a significant relationship (r=0.989; P<.001) between the quality assessments conducted by health care professionals and the subjective evaluations of item 23. CONCLUSIONS The average evaluation results of the selected apps indicated a "good" level of quality, and those with the highest ratings could be recommended. However, the lack of scientific backing for these technological tools is evident. It is crucial that research centers and higher education institutions commit to the active development of new mobile health apps, ensuring their accessibility and validation for the general public.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Digital health interventions (DHIs) could be a valuable self-management tool for patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), but little research exists on IBS-focused DHIs and their effectiveness. This review aimed to identify DHIs for IBS and evaluate their characteristics, effectiveness, and feasibility. METHODS Our study team, including patient partners, conducted a systematic review using Medline, PsycINFO, Embase, Web of Science, and CINAHL from database inception to May 2024. Experimental and observational studies evaluating DHIs designed for use by IBS patients were included. Data extraction and assessment included study and DHI characteristics, effectiveness outcomes (symptom severity, quality of life, psychological indices, patient empowerment), and feasibility measures (adherence, usability, user satisfaction). Study quality and bias were assessed using a modified checklist of Downs and Black. RESULTS Of the 929 identified, 13 studies of DHIs were included and deemed good quality on average (21,510 total participants) with six primary areas of focus: education, diet, brain-gut behavior skills, physiological support, health monitoring, and community engagement. Most DHIs were self-directed and reported statistically significant improvements in most effectiveness outcomes. Evidence suggests that DHIs focusing on brain-gut behavior skills or health monitoring may be most effective compared to other types of DHIs. However, their feasibility remains unclear, and the generalization of their impacts is limited. CONCLUSION This review underscores the potential of DHIs in supporting IBS patients and improving their outcomes. However, additional research is warranted for continued intervention use in this population, including assessments on feasibility, safety, cost-effectiveness, and patient empowerment and experiences.

Abstract
The growing integration of software in healthcare, particularly the rise of standalone software as a medical device (SaMD), is transforming digestive medicine, a field heavily reliant on medical imaging for both diagnosis and therapeutic interventions. This narrative review aims to explore the impact of SaMD on digestive healthcare, focusing on the evolution of these tools and their regulatory and ethical challenges. Our analysis highlights the exponential growth of SaMD in digestive healthcare, driven by the need for precise diagnostic tools and personalized treatment strategies. This rapid advancement, however, necessitates the parallel development of a robust regulatory framework to ensure SaMDs are transparent and deliver universal clinical benefits without the introduction of bias or harm. In addition, the discussion highlights the importance of adherence to the FAIR principles for data management-findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability. However, enhanced accessibility and interoperability require rigorous protocols to ensure compliance with data protection guidelines and adequate data security, both of which are crucial for effective integration of SaMDs into clinical workflows. In conclusion, while SaMDs hold significant promise for improving patients' outcomes in digestive medicine, their successful integration into clinical workflow depends on rigorous data protection protocols and clinical validation. Future directions include the need for adequate clinical and real-world studies to demonstrate that these devices are safe and well-suited to healthcare settings.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is one type of renal replacement therapy. If patients have problems during the dialysis process, healthcare providers may not be able assist the patients immediately. mHealth can provide patients with information and help them to solve problems in real-time, potentially increasing their willingness to choose PD. OBJECTIVE The objectives of this study were to conduct a comprehensive review of free mobile applications for patients with PD on the Internet and to recommend suitable mobile applications to facilitate patient self-management and health. METHODS We conducted a systematic search for PD mobile applications on Google Play and the Apple iTunes Store from 3 to 16 June 2023. RESULTS A total of 828 identifiable mobile applications were initially identified, and ultimately, 21 met the inclusion criteria. The Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS) assessment of the applications revealed the highest score in the functionality domain, followed by the aesthetics, information, app-specific, subjective quality, and engagement domains, respectively. In the comprehensive self-management of PD, the highest percentage was related to disease-related information. CONCLUSION The findings of this study suggest that some applications, with the highest quality, can be recommended to patients for use in English or traditional Chinese.

Abstract
mHealth, i.e., using mobile computing and communication technologies in health care, has played an increasingly important role in the provision of medical care and undertaking self-health monitoring and management in the past two decades. Specifically, it becomes critically important for health care delivery when governments have been forced to impose quarantines and lockdowns during the spikes in COVID-19 cases. Therefore, this research focuses on academic publications including journal articles, reviews, and conference papers on the use of mHealth during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a keyword search on "mHealth" (or "mobile health") and "COVID-19" on 7 January 2023 in Scopus, it was found that 1125 documents were officially published between 2020 and 2022. Among these 1125 documents, 1042 documents were journal articles, reviews, and conference papers. Researchers in the US produced 335 articles, followed by UK researchers with 119 articles, and Chinese researchers with 79 articles. Researchers affiliated with Harvard Medical School published the largest number of articles (31), followed by researchers of University College London with 21 articles and Massachusetts General Hospital with 20 articles. Co-occurrence of keywords analysis revealed four clusters, namely "COVID-19, mHealth, mobile applications, and public health", "adult, adolescent, mental health, and major clinical study", "human, pandemic, and epidemiology", and "telemedicine, telehealth, and health care delivery". Implications of this study are given.
