Abstract
Background: Visceral manipulation is a soft tissue manual work technique that originates from and is classified within the Osteopathic Manipulative Technique (OMT), focusing on the fascial tissue mobilisation of the visceral system. Manual therapy on internal organs is based on anatomy, physiology and physics. Methods: Sixty women with endometriosis and pelvic organ prolapse, aged 41.5 ± 12.02, participated in the study. The women had manipulation therapy once a week for 5 weeks. The World Health Organisation Quality of Life BREF questionnaire and a postural stability assessment were administered before and after performing visceral manipulation. Results: The p-value = 0.0093 obtained in the group with prolapses and the p-value = 0.0001 in the group with endometriosis indicated that the applied visceral manipulation improved the women's quality of life. No effect of therapy was observed on postural stability. Conclusions: Visceral manipulation improved the quality of life of both study groups of women. A significant difference was also observed when comparing the two groups for area.

Abstract
The forward head posture (FHP) is characterized by the head tilting forward compared to the shoulders, resulting in pressure on the neck and surrounding muscles, which may lead to chronic neck pain. The study focuses on a 47-year-old female patient with FHP experiencing symptoms such as dizziness and neck discomfort and emphasizes the importance of various treatment options. After six weeks of personalized training designed to improve posture and alignment, the patient's neck pain improved significantly. Evaluations using different assessments showed significant improvements in pain intensity, head and neck alignment, neck pain and function, severity of dizziness, and neck mobility. This case report discusses the role of physical therapy in treating muscle and balance problems to alleviate symptoms of various health conditions and shows lasting positive effects. It emphasizes the interconnection of conditions such as pain and dizziness and their impact on overall recovery and health. The physiotherapy approach aimed to improve patient outcomes and functional abilities by addressing muscular-skeletal and vestibular problems. This study highlights the complex relationship between FHP, vertigo, and neck pain.

Abstract
Background The craniovertebral (CV) junction is crucial for head support, mobility, and protecting the upper spinal cord and vital nerve structures. Disorders in this area can cause severe symptoms such as neck pain, restricted movement, and neurological issues such as headaches and balance problems. Exercise and physical activity improves muscle strength, flexibility, joint stability, reducing pain, and enhancing joint function, while specifically for the CV junction, exercise can relieve muscle tension, boost blood flow, and improve posture, although the specific impact on CV junction health remains underexplored. Methods A comprehensive literature search was conducted using databases MEDLINE, Cochrane, Lilacs, and ScienceDirect, alongside manual searches through reference lists. The review focuses on exercise and CV junction issues and includes randomized controlled trials, cohort or case-control studies, and systematic reviews. Primary outcomes include pain levels, joint mobility, function, and quality of life. Results Results yield four meta-analyses with corrective exercise and conventional exercise in improving forward head posture risk difference 0.00 (-0.09, 0.09) 95% confidence interval (CI), between cervical and thoracic exercises odds ratio 1.04 (0.59, 1.84) 95% CI. Comparing exercise treatment and physiotherapy showed risk difference 0.11 (-0.10, 0.32) 95% CI and the comparative analysis between training and no treatment showed risk difference 0.09 (-0.01, 0.20) 95% CI. Conclusion Exercise-based rehabilitation programs tailored to patients with CV junction problems offer robust evidence, benefiting clinical management, and prevention efforts.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Chronic neck pain (CNP) is a common public health problem that affects daily living activities and quality of life. There is biomechanical interdependence between the neck and scapula. Studies have shown that shoulder blade function might be related to chronic neck pain. We therefore evaluated the effects of scapular targeted therapy on neck pain and function in patients with CNP. METHODS Databases, including MEDLINE (via PubMed), EMBASE (via Ovid), Ovid, Web of Science, and Scopus, were systematically searched for randomized controlled trials published in English investigating treatment of the scapula for CNP before July 16, 2023. RESULTS A total of 313 participants were included from 8 RCTs. Compared with those in the control group, the intervention in the scapular treatment group exhibited greater improvement in pain intensity (standardized mean difference (SMD) = 2.55; 95% CI = 0.97 to 4.13; P = 0.002), with moderate evidence. Subgroup analysis for pain intensity revealed a significant difference between the sexes, with only the female population (SMD = 6.23, 95% CI = 4.80 to 7.65) showing better outcomes than those with both sexes (SMD = 1.07, 95% CI = 0.57 to 1.56) (p < 0.00001). However, moderate evidence demonstrated no improvement in neck disability after scapular treatment (SMD of 0.24[-0.14, 0.62] of Neck Disability Index or Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire). No effect of scapular treatment was shown on the pressure pain threshold (PPT). The cervical range of motion (CROM) and electromyographic activity of neck muscles could not be conclusively evaluated due to limited support in the articles, and further study was needed. However, the patient's head forward posture appeared to be corrected after scapular treatment. CONCLUSION Scapular therapy was beneficial for relieving pain intensity in patients with CNP, especially in women. Head forward posture might also be corrected with scapular therapy. However, scapular therapy may have no effect on the PPT or neck disability. However, whether scapular therapy could improve CROM and cervical muscle activation in patients with CNPs had not been determined and needed further study.
