Abstract
Introduction Bibliometric analysis is a scientometric method that allows the quantitative analysis of publications. This study used the Web of Science database to perform a bibliometric analysis of the 100 most-cited articles in the field of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) to identify the key research themes and emerging topics within this area. Methods We collected pertinent publications from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). The search was conducted using the following keywords: "pelvic organ prolapse", "pelvic organ prolapse" or "pelvic organ prolapses". The search included all publication dates up to June 27, 2024, without any article type restrictions, and the articles were sorted based on their citation count. The top 100 articles with the most citations were included in the subsequent analyses. Several tools, including the Bibliometrix program in R, CiteSpace software, the Online Analysis Platform of Literature Metrology (https://bibliometric.com), and an online interface by Bibliometrix, were used to analyze the data. Results The top 100 most cited articles in the field of POP were cited 26,894 times in total. These articles were published between 1993 and 2019, and the majority of them were published during the 10-year period from 2001 to 2010. The United States and the University of California, San Francisco, produced the most publications on this topic. The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology had the greatest influence on POP research. The most prolific author in this field was Barber MD (n = 7). Epidemiological research and treatment, particularly in the area of tissue engineering, were the main focus and current trends in POP research. Conclusion This study revealed key research areas and current research hotspots for POP, with a particular focus on epidemiological studies and surgical interventions, especially in the field of tissue engineering. It is suggested that the future research in this field should pay more attention to epidemiological research and treatment, so as to better understand the risk factors of the disease and the characteristics of the affected population, and expect high-quality curative effect and prevention.

Abstract
Background Recently there has been an increasing number of studies have explored apoptosis mechanisms in lung cancer (LC). However, no researchers have conducted a bibliometric analysis of the most cited articles in this field. Objective To examine the top 100 most influential and cited publications on apoptosis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) from 2004 to 2023, summarizing research trends and key focus areas. Methods This study utilized the Web of Science Core Database (WOSCC) to research NSCLC apoptosis from 2004 to 2023, using keyword selection and manual screening for article searches. Bibliometrix package of R software 4.3.1 was used to generate distribution statistics for the top ten institutions, journals and authors. Citespace6.2. R6 was used to create the visualization maps for keyword co-occurrence and clustering. VOSviewer1.6.19 was used to conduct cluster analysis of publishing countries (regions), with data exported to SCImago Graphica for geographic visualization and cooperation analysis. VOSviewer1.6.19 was used to produced co-citation maps of institutions, journals, authors, and references. Results From 2004 to 2023, 13316 articles were retrieved, and the top 100 most cited were chosen. These were authored by 934 individuals from 269 institutions across 18 countries and appeared in 45 journals. Citations ranged from 150 to 1,389, with a median of 209.5. The most influential articles appeared in 2005 and 2007 (n=13). The leading countries (regions), institutions, journals and authors were identified as the United States (n=60), Harvard University (n=64), CANCER RESEARCH (n=15), SUN M and YANG JS (n=6). The top five keywords were "expression", "activation", "apoptosis", "pathway" and "gefitinib". This study indicates that enhancing apoptosis through circular RNA regulation and targeting the Nrf2 signaling pathway could become a key research focus in recent years. Conclusion Apoptosis has been the subject of extensive research over many years, particularly in relation to its role in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of NSCLC. This study aims to identify highly influential articles and forecast emerging research trends, thereby offering insights into novel therapeutic targets and strategies to overcome drug resistance. The findings are intended to serve as a valuable reference for scholars engaged in this field of study.

Abstract
Objective College students are currently grappling with severe mental health challenges, and research on artificial intelligence (AI) related to college students mental health, as a crucial catalyst for promoting psychological well-being, is rapidly advancing. Employing bibliometric methods, this study aim to analyze and discuss the research on AI in college student mental health. Methods Publications pertaining to AI and college student mental health were retrieved from the Web of Science core database. The distribution of publications were analyzed to gage the predominant productivity. Data on countries, authors, journal, and keywords were analyzed using VOSViewer, exploring collaboration patterns, disciplinary composition, research hotspots and trends. Results Spanning 2003 to 2023, the study encompassed 1722 publications, revealing notable insights: (1) a gradual rise in annual publications, reaching its zenith in 2022; (2) Journal of Affective Disorders and Psychiatry Research emerged were the most productive and influential sources in this field, with significant contributions from China, the United States, and their affiliated higher education institutions; (3) the primary mental health issues were depression and anxiety, with machine learning and AI having the widest range of applications; (4) an imperative for enhanced international and interdisciplinary collaboration; (5) research hotspots exploring factors influencing college student mental health and AI applications. Conclusion This study provides a succinct yet comprehensive overview of this field, facilitating a nuanced understanding of prospective applications of AI in college student mental health. Professionals can leverage this research to discern the advantages, risks, and potential impacts of AI in this critical field.

Abstract
Background Tau, a microtubule-associated protein extensively distributed within the central nervous system (CNS), exhibits close associations with various neurodegenerative disorders. Here, we aimed to conduct a qualitative and quantitative bibliometric study of the top 100 most-cited publications on tau protein and reveal the current research hotspots and future perspectives. Methods The relevant literature was retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection. CiteSpace (v6.2.R4) and VOSviewer (1.6.19) were adopted for bibliometric analysis with statistical and visual analysis. Results Citations per article ranged from 615 to 3,123, with a median number of 765.5 times. "Neuroscience" emerged as the most extensively researched subject in this field. The USA has emerged as the leading country, with a publication record (n = 65), total citations (n = 66,543), strong centrality (0.29), and extensive international collaborations. Harvard University (n = 11) and the University of California, San Francisco (n = 11) were the top two institutions in terms of publications. Neuron dominated with 13 articles in the 37 high-quality journals. M. Goedert from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology was the most productive (n = 9) and top co-cited (n = 179) author. The most frequently studied keywords were Alzheimer's disease (n = 38). Future research is anticipated to intensify its focus on the pathogenesis of various tau-related diseases, emphasizing the phosphorylation and structural alterations of tau protein, particularly in Alzheimer's disease. Conclusion The pathogenesis of various tau-related diseases, including the phosphorylation and structural alterations of the tau protein, will be the primary focus of future research, with particular emphasis on Alzheimer's disease as a central area of investigation.
