Abstract
Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) represents a significant global health challenge, characterized by aggressive progression and poor therapeutic response despite advances in treatment modalities. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of diverse cell death mechanisms in OSCC, encompassing traditional pathways (apoptosis, autophagy, and necrosis), newly characterized mechanisms (ferroptosis, pyroptosis, and necroptosis), and emerging pathways (cuproptosis, anoikis, parthanatos, and entosis). By examining the molecular basis of these pathways, particularly the crucial roles of p53 signaling and miRNA regulation, we highlight how their dysregulation contributes to treatment resistance and tumor progression. The review synthesizes recent evidence demonstrating the complex interplay between these ten distinct cell death mechanisms and their impact on the tumor microenvironment and immune response. We evaluate innovative therapeutic approaches that target these pathways, including novel small molecules, combination strategies, and immunomodulatory treatments that exploit specific cell death mechanisms to enhance therapeutic efficacy. Special attention is given to emerging personalized medicine strategies that consider individual tumor characteristics and cell death pathway profiles. By integrating current challenges with future research directions, this review provides a framework for developing more effective treatments that can leverage multiple cell death pathways to overcome therapy resistance and improve outcomes for oral cancer patients.

Abstract
Autophagy is an intrinsic breakdown system that recycles organelles and macromolecules, which influences metabolic pathways, differentiation, and thereby cell survival. Oral health is an essential component of integrated well-being, and it is critical for developing therapeutic interventions to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the maintenance of oral homeostasis. However, because of the complex dynamic relationship between autophagy and oral health, associated treatment modalities have not yet been well elucidated. Determining how autophagy affects oral health at the molecular level may enhance the understanding of prevention and treatment of targeted oral diseases. At the molecular level, hard and soft oral tissues develop because of complex interactions between epithelial and mesenchymal cells. Aging contributes to the progression of various oral disorders including periodontitis, oral cancer, and periapical lesions during aging. Autophagy levels decrease with age, thus indicating a possible association between autophagy and oral disorders with aging. In this review, we critically review various aspects of autophagy and their significance in the context of various oral diseases including oral cancer, periapical lesions, periodontal conditions, and candidiasis. A better understanding of autophagy and its underlying mechanisms can guide us to develop new preventative and therapeutic strategies for the management of oral diseases.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The P53 gene is critical to the onset and progression of cancers. Currently, relevant study findings indicate that the p53 gene may have a strong association with the risk of endometriosis, but these findings have not been united. To gather more statistically meaningful clinical data, we used meta-analysis to examine the relationship between the rs1042522 single nucleotide polymorphism of the tumor suppressor gene p53 and the incidence of endometriosis. METHODS Through a comprehensive literature survey of PubMed, MEDLINE, EMBASE, Springer, and Web of Science literature databases, we obtained a clinical control case study on the relationship between p53 gene polymorphism and the prevalence of female endometriosis and finally traced the relevant references included. The quality of the literature included in this study was evaluated, and Revman5.3 was used to complete the meta-analysis. RESULTS This research includes eight publications. The total number of cases in the study group was 1551, whereas the total number of cases in the control group was 1440. The findings of the sensitivity analyses of each omitted piece of the literature revealed no significant difference. The results of the meta-analysis showed that there were significant differences in the GG gene frequency (OR = 0.56, 95%CI (0.38, 0.92), P = 0.003), allele G (OR = 2.46, 95%CI (1.41,4.29), P = 0.002), and allele C (OR = 0.62, 95%CI (0.46, 0.84), P = 0.002) between the study group and the control group (P < 0.01), but there was no significant difference in the GC gene frequency (OR = 1.17, 95%CI (1.01,1.36), P = 0.03), and the CC gene frequency (OR = 1.25, 95%CI (0.85,1.82), P = 0.26) (P > 0.01). CONCLUSION Our study results show that there is a significant correlation between the single nucleotide of the p53 gene and the incidence rate of female endometriosis, in which the decrease of the GG gene frequency and the increase of allele C are likely to increase the risk of such diseases.

Recurrence Rate and Exploration of Clinical Factors after Pituitary Adenoma Surgery: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis based on Computer Artificial Intelligence System. Abstract
Background The first-line treatment for patients with any type of pituitary adenoma is trans-sphenoidal surgery. Considering the prevalence of the condition globally, the treatment is quite common. The recurrence of pituitary adenoma is a recognized occurrence in the medical field; however, there is limited comprehensive research and analysis of the predictive factors of recurrence rates and the clinical factors impacting relapse rates. Identifying the recurrence rates of pituitary adenomas and the clinical factors associated with them could help increase the remission rate by increasing focus on the specific aspects for early diagnosis and improved treatment. Objective The objective of the current systematic review and meta-analysis is to assess the recurrent rates based on previous studies and to explore the clinical factors after pituitary surgery. Methods A search was performed on PubMed, APA PsycINFO, Scopus, CENTRAL, and Google Scholar databases for English articles published from 1st January 2010 to 1st August 2022. Systematic reviews, meta-analysis, evidence syntheses, editorials, commentaries, preclinical studies, abstracts, theses, and preprints were excluded. Meta XL statistical software was used to conduct a prevalence meta-analysis. Results PubMed, PsycINFO, and Medline databases were searched. All of the articles were written between 2012 and 2022. In the beginning, 612 items were recognized. After removing duplicates and analyzing the remaining articles in terms of inclusion and exclusion criteria, 31 articles remained. Conclusion There is a relationship between recurrence rates and the follow-up period. There were conflicting results about the clinical factors after pituitary adenoma surgery, specifically age and tumor size. Some included studies that there was an association between macroadenomas and high recurrence rates. No study reported that gender was a clinical factor affecting pituitary adenoma surgery outcomes or the recurrence rate. Studies also reported that there was a correlation between the remnant tumor factor and the recurrence rates; adenoma remnants after surgery increased the risk of recurrence rates for patients.

Observation on the Clinical Efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine Non-Drug Therapy in the Treatment of Insomnia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Based on Computer Artificial Intelligence System. Abstract
Objective. Insomnia is a common and frequently occurring disease affecting the health of the population, which can seriously affect the work and life of patients. Drug treatment of insomnia has a rapid onset of action but has a large adverse reaction incidence rate. Traditional external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) belongs to a type of non-drug therapy, the treatment of insomnia has a long history, but the methods of non-drug treatment of TCM are diverse, and the efficacy is also different. This study investigated the efficacy of TCM non-drug therapy in the treatment of insomnia by means of literature search and meta-analysis. Methods. We searched Embase, Pubmed, OVid, WOS, CNKI, and CBM for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the use of TCM as a non-drug treatment for primary insomnia. After doing a literature search according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, we used Cochrane rob v2.0 to assess the potential for bias in the studies that were included, and we did a combined analysis and assessment of the effectiveness of the therapy. Results. 16 articles were included in this study for quantitative analysis, and a total of 1285 patients participated in the study, including 643 patients in the intervention group and 642 patients in the control group. Meta-analysis showed that non-drug therapy of TCM could improve the treatment response rate of insomnia patients [OR = 6.88, 95%CI (4.40,10.74), Z = 8.48,
], reduce post-treatment PSQI total score [MD = −3.42, 95%CI (−4.62, −2.22), Z = −5.60,
], and improved patient anxiety [SMD = −1.25, 95%CI (−2.13, −0.37), Z = −2.78,
] and degree of depression [SMD = −1.53, 95%CI (−2.84, −0.21), Z = −2.28,
]. The heterogeneity survey showed that treatment time was one of the sources of heterogeneity. Meta-regression analysis revealed that publication year, patient age, sample size, and intervention characteristics were not specific factors affecting the combined results. Discussion. TCM non-drug therapy (acupuncture, moxibustion, massage, and auricular point pressing beans) can significantly improve the PSQI score of patients after treatment and improve the degree of anxiety and depression of patients, with significant effect, which is worthy of clinical promotion.

The Significance of Intracranial Pressure Monitoring for Reducing Mortality in Patients with Traumatic Brain Injury: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis. Abstract
Background Despite guidelines provided by the Brain Trauma Foundation (BTF) for treating patients with TBI, including advice to monitor intracranial pressure (ICP), the clinical application of ICP monitoring is far from universal. This laxity has been attributed to the relationship between mortality in TBI patients and ICP monitoring. Objective This systematic review and meta-analysis was aimed at determining the effect of intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring on the mortality of patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Method A systematic search for articles was conducted on PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane Central Register of Control Trials (CENTRAL), and APA PsycNet for articles published from 1 January 2000 to 1 August 2022. Manager 5.4 was used to carry out statistical analysis. Results Article search yielded 1421 articles, but only 23 cohort studies were included in the systematic review and meta-analysis. The total number of study participants is 80,058. Seventeen studies reported unadjusted odds ratios (OR), and only 8 reported the adjusted odds ratio (OR). Nine out of seventeen studies reported an unadjusted OR of less than 1, and five out of eight studies reported an adjusted OR of less than 1. From this paper's analysis, the OR for in-hospital mortality was 1.01 [95% CI, 0.80, 1.28], with a p value of 0.92. OR for ICU mortality was 0.84 [95% CI, 0.52, 1.35], with a p value of 0.47. Conclusion But due to conflicting results, as evident above, it is unsatisfyingly challenging to draw any substantial conclusions from them. This paper thus calls for more research on this particular paper.

Abstract
Background Gastric cancer (GC) is a primary cause of cancer death around the world. Previous studies have found that Drosha plays a significant role in the development of tumor cells. Soon after, we unexpectedly found that the expression of microRNA6778-5p (miR6778-5p) is unconventionally high in the gastric cancer cells low-expressing Drosha. So, we designed the Drosha interference sequence and recombined it into a lentiviral vector to construct Drosha knockdown lentivirus and transfected the Drosha knockdown lentivirus into gastric cancer cells to establish Drosha knockdown gastric cancer cell lines. We aimed to explore the effect of microRNA6778-5p on the proliferation of gastric cancer cells with Drosha knockdown and its intrinsic mechanism. Methods We designed the Drosha interference sequence and recombined it into a lentiviral vector to construct Drosha knockdown lentivirus and transfected the Drosha knockdown lentivirus into gastric cancer cells to establish Drosha knockdown gastric cancer cell lines. After transfecting miR6778-5p mimics and inhibitor into gastric cancer cell lines with Drosha knockdown, the expression levels of miR6778-5p mimics in Drosha low-expressing gastric cancer cells increased, while miR6778-5p inhibitor decreased the expression levels of miR6778-5p. The Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) experiment was used to detect the proliferation ability of gastric cancer cells after overexpression or knockdown of miR6778-5p and bioinformatics predicted the relationship between miR6778-5p and glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK3β). Results After infection with the Drosha knockdown lentivirus, Drosha's mRNA and protein levels were significantly downregulated in gastric cancer cells. The expression levels of miR6778-5p mimics in Drosha low-expressing gastric cancer cells increased, while miR6778-5p inhibitor decreased the expression levels of miR6778-5p. Overexpression of miR6778-5p significantly enhanced the proliferation ability of Drosha low-expression gastric cancer cells; on the contrary, knocking down miR6778-5p weakened the proliferation ability of Drosha low-expression gastric cancer cells. Bioinformatics predicted that miR6778-5p targeted glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK3β) and the mRNA and protein levels of GSK3β decreased significantly after overexpression of miR6778-5p. Conclusion miR6778-5p promotes the proliferation of Drosha low-expressing gastric cancer cells by targeting GSK3β.

Accuracy and Utility of Preoperative Ultrasound-Guided Axillary Lymph Node Biopsy for Invasive Breast Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis. Abstract
Background With the acceleration of the pace of life and work, the incidence rate of invasive breast cancer is getting higher and higher, and early diagnosis is very important. This study screened and analyzed the published literature on ultrasound-guided biopsy of invasive breast cancer and obtained the accuracy and practicality of preoperative biopsy. Method The four databases were screened for the literature. There was no requirement for the start date of retrieval, and the deadline was July 2, 2022. Two researchers screened the literature, respectively, and included the literature on preoperative ultrasound-guided biopsy and intraoperative and postoperative pathological diagnosis of invasive breast cancer. The diagnostic data included in the literature were extracted and meta-analyzed with RevMan 5.4 software, and the bias risk map, forest map, and summary receiver operating characteristic curves (SROC) were drawn. Results The included 19 studies involved about 18668 patients with invasive breast cancer. The degree of bias of the included literature is low. The distribution range of true positive, false positive, true negative, and false negative in the forest map is large, which may be related to the large difference in the number of patients in each study. Most studies in the SROC curve are at the upper left, indicating that the accuracy of ultrasound-guided axillary biopsy is very high. Conclusion For invasive breast cancer, preoperative ultrasound-guided biopsy can accurately predict staging and grading of breast cancer, which has important reference value for surgery and follow-up treatment.
