Abstract
AIM Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) nursing has become more prominent with the increase in chronic HIV infections. This study examined articles related to HIV nursing to determine how the profession has developed and its future direction. DESIGN A bibliometric analysis was conducted. METHODS HIV nursing-related articles published in the Web of Science core collection between 1999 and 2022 were searched. VOSviewer was used to identify the contributions of countries, institutions and authors in HIV-related care. Collaborative maps, hot topics and keywords trends were analysed using VOSviewer and CiteSpace. RESULTS A total of 1513 publications were extracted. An increase in articles published between 1999 and 2012 was observed. After 2012, the increase in the number of publications was relatively stable. Since 2016, a downward trend in the number of publications has occurred. The USA, South Africa and the UK were the leading contributors to publications related to HIV nursing. The focus of the HIV nursing research has gradually shifted from "HIV infection", "risk factors", and "transmission routes" to "social support", "depression", and "public health". The result shows that increased collaboration among countries/regions can improve the development of HIV nursing and effectively reduce the global HIV infection rate. The mental health of patients has become a research centre in the field of HIV nursing. This study provides direction in clinical practice and future research areas in this field.

Abstract
This retrospective bibliometric analysis was conducted to explore research trends and identify studies in fields of nursing, virtual reality, and cancer. Data were obtained from the Web of Science database using an advanced search strategy. The study data were analyzed using the R Studio software and visualized using VOSviewer. A total of 594 studies were retrieved and analyzed from January 1995 to December 2021. It was determined that 59.4% of the studies were research articles and that these studies had been conducted by 2771 authors. The reviewed studies were produced by researchers from 25 countries and were published in 29 different journals. Of these, 169 were conducted by researchers in the United States. "Virtual reality" and "nursing" were found to be prominent topics. Studies on virtual reality in patients with cancer in the field of nursing have increased over the past 8 years. Researchers have actively conducted studies in this field. Prominent studies have covered various patients with cancer in all age groups and palliative care processes. It was seen that the majority of the studies were randomized controlled trials, reviews, and systematic reviews. In addition, studies have used virtual reality as a distraction method in the management of symptoms in patients with breast, lung, and pediatric cancers undergoing chemotherapy treatment. This study provides a detailed and up-to-date analysis of the findings obtained from the Web of Science database by emphasizing bibliometric models of virtual reality technologies in nursing patients with cancer. We believe that the current data on the use of virtual reality applications in patients with cancer will guide the clinical practice and scientific studies of healthcare professionals.

Abstract
IntroductionStudies on intracranial aneurysms (IAs) using animal models have evolved for decades. This study aimed to analyze major contributors and trends in IA-related animal research using bibliometric analysis.MethodsIA-related animal studies were retrieved from the Web of Science database. Microsoft Excel 2010, GraphPad Prism 6, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace were used to collect and analyze the characteristics of this field.ResultsA total of 273 publications were retrieved. All publications were published between 1976 and 2021, and the peak publication year is 2019. Rat model were used in most of the publications, followed by mice and rabbits. Japan (35.5%), the United States (30.0%), and China (20.1%) were the top three most prolific countries. Although China ranks third in the number of publications, it still lacks high-quality articles and influential institutions. Stroke was the most prolific journal that accepted publications related to IA research using animal models. Circulation has the highest impact factor with IA-related animal studies. Hashimoto N contributed the largest number of articles. Meng hui journal published the first and second highest cited publications. The keywords “subarachnoid hemorrhage,” “macrophage,” “rupture,” “mice,” “elastase,” “gene,” “protein,” “proliferation,” and “risk factors” might be a new trend for studying IA-related animal research.ConclusionsJapan and the Unites States contributed the most to IA–related animal studies, in terms of both researchers and institutions. Although China ranks third in terms of the number of publications, it should strengthen the quality of its publications. Researchers should pay attention to the latest progress of Stroke, Journal of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgery, and Circulation for their high-quality IA-related animal studies. Using animal IA models, especially mice, to investigate the molecular mechanisms of IA may be the frontier topic now and in future.

Abstract
Background This study aimed to analyze the global research trends and map the knowledge network of intracranial aneurysm (IA) research in the last 10 years. Methods Publications related to IA from 2012 to 2021 were retrieved from the Web of Science core collection. Microsoft Excel 2010 and VOSviewer were used to characterize the largest contributors, including authors, journals, institutions, and countries. CiteSpace and VOSviewer were adopted to analyze the trends and knowledge network of IA. Results A total of 5,406 publications related to IA from 2012 to 2021 were identified, increasing from 344 in 2012 to 762 in 2021. Siddiqui, AH from the USA contributed the most publications. Papers published in the journal World Neurosurgery ranked first in quantity, while Stroke ranked first for total citations and citations per publication. The top three prolific institutions were Capital Medical University, Mayo Clinic, and the University Department of Neurology Utrecht from 2012 to 2021. Moreover, the USA held the greatest share in the field, and China was almost on par with the USA due to its rapid growth. Specifically, the most frequently covered topics over the recent decade were subarachnoid hemorrhage, endovascular treatment (EVT), clipping, vascular disorders, flow diverter, stent, delayed cerebral ischemia, inflammation, and hemodynamics. Conclusion The contribution made by different countries, institutions, journals, and authors for IA research over the past decade was demonstrated in the paper. The main topics include the choice of EVT or surgical clipping, particularly the application of flow diverter and associated complications, while themes such as the etiopathogenetic features of IA (e.g., inflammation and hemodynamics) deserve more attention.

Abstract
Purpose This study aimed to explore current developments and trends in the field of subjective well-being (SWB) of older adults at a macro level and identify research hotspots. Methods We included reviews and articles on the SWB of older adults in the Web of Science Core Collection published from 2002 to 2021. We used CiteSpace to draw a knowledge map of the authors, institutions, countries, references, and keywords for visual analysis and used Microsoft Excel tables to count basic information details. Results A total of 354 papers were included, and the number of papers published over the past two decades showed a pattern of growth. The core force of publications was primarily attributed to studies conducted in Europe, North America, Asia, and Oceania, which have relatively major issues of aging and good economic strength. However, links between states, institutions, and authors were relatively weak. Cluster analysis showed that the research field could be divided into eight topics: the application of social psychology in the study of the SWB of older adults, aging in older adults, health condition of older adults, achieving successful aging, interventions for SWB, age differences in SWB research, an economic perspective of SWB research and social support for older adults. Current research frontiers are socioeconomic status, community, intervention, participation, adjustment, validation, and personality. Conclusion The results of the present study provided a comprehensive picture in the research field of SWB of older adults. It showed that the mechanism, especially the bidirectional effect, between the SWB of older adults and its influencing factors is still worthy of further exploration. More research on evidence-based and intervention strategies should be conducted in the future.

Abstract
Background The characteristic symptom of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is respiratory distress, but neurological symptoms are the most frequent extra-pulmonary symptoms. This study aims to explore the current status and hot topics of neurology-related research on COVID-19 using bibliometric analysis. Methods Publications regarding neurology and COVID-19 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) on March 28 2022. The Advanced search was conducted using “TS = (‘COVID 19’ or ‘Novel Coronavirus 2019’ or ‘Coronavirus disease 2019’ or ‘2019-nCOV’ or ‘SARS-CoV-2’ or ‘coronavirus-2’) and TS = (‘neurology’or ‘neurological’ or ‘nervous system’ or ‘neurodegenerative disease’ or ‘brain’ or ‘cerebra’ or ‘nerve’)”. Microsoft Excel 2010 and VOSviewer were used to characterize the largest contributors, including the authors, journals, institutions, and countries. The hot topics and knowledge network were analyzed by CiteSpace and VOSviewer. Results A total of 5,329 publications between 2020 and 2022 were retrieved. The United States, Italy, and the United Kingdom were three key contributors to this field. Harvard Medical School, the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology were the major institutions with the largest publications. Josef Finsterer from the University of São Paulo (Austria) was the most prolific author. Tom Solomon from the University of Liverpool (UK) was the most cited author. Neurological Sciences and Frontiers in Neurology were the first two most productive journals, while Journal of Neurology held the first in terms of total citations and citations per publication. Cerebrovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, encephalitis and encephalopathy, neuroimmune complications, neurological presentation in children, long COVID and mental health, and telemedicine were the central topics regarding the neurology-related research on COVID-19. Conclusion Neurology-related research on COVID-19 has attracted considerable attention worldwide. Research topics shifted from “morality, autopsy, and telemedicine” in 2020 to various COVID-19-related neurological symptoms in 2021, such as “stroke,” “Alzheimer's disease,” “Parkinson's disease,” “Guillain–Barre syndrome,” “multiple sclerosis,” “seizures in children,” and “long COVID.” “Applications of telemedicine in neurology during COVID-19 pandemic,” “COVID-19-related neurological complications and mechanism,” and “long COVID” require further study.
