Abstract
BACKGROUND Observational studies about the association between coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination and thrombosis/ischemic stroke are inconsistent. The aim of this study is to assess the causality between COVID-19 vaccination and thrombosis-related biomarkers/thrombosis/ischemic stroke using mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. METHODS A two-sample MR analysis using publicly available genome-wide association study (GWAS) data was conducted. Causal effects were appraised using inverse variance weighted (IVW, as a primary method), with supplementary methods including constrained maximum likelihood and model averaging, MR-Robust Adjusted Profile Score, MR-Egger regression, simple mode, weighted median, and weighted mode. Sensitivity analyses were conducted using Cochran's Q test, MR-Egger intercept test, and leave-one-out analysis. RESULTS Genetically predicted COVID-19 vaccination was negatively associated with C-C motif chemokine 3 [CCL3, odds ratio (OR): 0.694, 95% confidence intervals (CI): 0.484-0.995] and multiple coagulation factor deficiency protein 2 (MCFD2, OR: 0.806, 95% CI: 0.675-0.963). Meanwhile, the IVW analysis revealed significant causal effects between genetically predicted COVID-19 vaccination and ischemic stroke (OR: 1.088, 95% CI: 1.006-1.177), large artery stroke (LAS, OR: 1.251, 95% CI: 1.028-1.521). The leave-one-out analysis revealed that no individual SNP exerted a significant effect on the overall causal estimate. CONCLUSION Our study provided evidence supporting a potential causal association of genetically predicted COVID-19 vaccination with CCL3 levels, MCFD2 levels, ischemic stroke risk and LAS risk. These results provide preliminary evidence of potential adverse associations, but further studies are required to fully understand the mechanisms and to validate these findings across broader populations.

Abstract
Introduction Coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) plays a vital role in viral-induced hypercoagulability through the initiation of a cytokine storm. This mechanism has been found to predispose unvaccinated patients to systemic complications including arterial thrombosis (AT) with poor 30-day amputation-free survival rates. There remains, however, little understanding regarding the incidence in patients who have received a COVID-19 vaccination. This study aims to assess the incidence, management and outcomes of vaccinated patients with COVID-19 who develop thrombotic complications to reduce amputation and direct mortality. Methods The case notes of all emergency patients with COVID-19 referred to the vascular services in a tertiary referral centre between November 2021 and April 2022 were reviewed. Patients who were unvaccinated or admitted with stroke or coronary thrombosis were excluded. The study was undertaken to measure 30-day outcomes. Results Between November 2021 and April 2022, 167,290 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Norfolk. Thirty-one patients under the vascular service had COVID-19, of which, one patient was unvaccinated. Only one vaccinated patient was referred with AT and had a positive COVID-19 result two days after admission. Above-knee amputation was performed within 30 days and he survived. Seventeen percent of patients contracted COVID-19 during their hospital admission. Conclusion The incidence of acute limb ischaemia in vaccinated patients is low; however, the 30-day outcomes remain poor. Compared to unvaccinated patients, there was a significant reduction in the presentation of AT in vaccinated patients during that timeframe, despite a higher background number of COVID-19 cases. Therefore, vaccination may minimise the risk of AT.

Abstract
This repeated cross-sectional study with two independent sample populations compared the antibody response to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 vaccines in Albania in July-August 2021 and 2022. In 2021, it found higher anti-spike-1 seropositivity and antibody levels in fully vaccinated individuals, especially with BNT162b2 and ChAdOx1 and to a lesser degree with CoronaVac. By 2022, all single-dose recipients showed high antibody responses, suggesting natural infection-enhanced immunity. The study indicates a significant evolution in the antibody response to different coronavirus disease 2019 vaccines and suggests that a single vaccine dose, coupled with natural infection, might suffice to maintain adequate immunity levels in an endemic scenario.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Many studies have shown an association between COVID-19 and autoimmune diseases (ADs). Studies on COVID-19 and ADs have also increased significantly, but there is no bibliometric analysis to summarize the association between COVID-19 and ADs. The purpose of this study was to perform a bibliometric and visual analysis of published studies related to COVID-19 and ADs. METHODS Based on the Web of Science Core Collection SCI-Expanded database, we utilize Excel 2019 and visualization analysis tools Co-Occurrence13.2 (COOC13.2), VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and HistCite for analysis. RESULTS A total of 1736 related kinds of papers were included, and the number of papers presented an overall increasing trend. The country/region with the most publications is the USA, the institution is the Harvard Medical School, the author is Yehuda Shoenfeld from Israel, and the journal is Frontiers in Immunology. Research hotspots include immune responses (such as cytokines storm), multisystem ADs (such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis), treatment modalities (such as hydroxychloroquine, rituximab), vaccination and autoimmune mechanisms (such as autoantibodies, molecular mimicry). The future research direction may be the mechanisms and treatment ideas of the association between ADs and COVID-19 (such as NF-κB, hyperinflammation, antiphospholipid antibodies, neutrophil extracellular traps, granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor), other cross-diseases of COVID-19 and ADs (such as inflammatory bowel disease, chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis, acute respiratory distress syndrome). CONCLUSION The growth rate of publications regarding ADs and COVID-19 has risen sharply. Our research results can help researchers grasp the current status of ADs and COVID-19 research and find new research directions in the future.

Abstract
Although abundant data confirm the efficacy and safety profile of the developed vaccines against COVID-19, there are still some concerns regarding vaccination in high-risk populations. This is especially valid for patients susceptible to thrombotic or bleeding events and hesitant people due to the fear of thrombotic incidents following vaccination. This narrative review focuses on various inherited and acquired thrombotic and coagulation disorders and the possible pathophysiologic mechanisms interacting with the coagulation system during immunization in view of the currently available safety data regarding COVID-19 vaccines. Inherited blood coagulation disorders and inherited thrombotic disorders in the light of COVID-19, as well as blood coagulation and thrombotic disorders and bleeding complications following COVID-19 vaccines, along with the possible pathogenesis hypotheses, therapeutic interventions, and imaging for diagnosing are discussed in detail. Lastly, the lack of causality between the bleeding and thrombotic events and COVID-19 vaccines is debated, but still emphasizes the importance of vaccination against COVID-19, outweighing the minimal risk of potential rare adverse events associated with coagulation.
