Abstract
As one of the three major malignant tumors in women, the morbidity of endometrial cancer is second only to that of cervical cancer and is increasing yearly. Its etiological mechanism is not clear, and the risk factors are numerous and common and are closely related to obesity, hypertension, diabetes, etc. The gut microbiota has many strains, which play a considerable part in normal digestion and absorption in the human body and the regulation of the immune response. In the last few years, research on the gut microbiota has been unprecedentedly popular, and it has been confirmed that the gut microbiota closely correlates with the occurrence and development of all kinds of benign and malignant diseases. In this article, the effects of the gut microbiota and its metabolites on the occurrence and development of endometrial cancer is reviewed, and its application in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of endometrial cancer is explored.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Endometrial cancer (EC) is the most common malignancy of the female genital tract in developed countries, yet preventive screening remains unavailable, and diagnostic approaches are largely limited to symptomatic women. Despite advancements in precision oncology, the biology of precancerous lesions is less understood compared to advanced disease. To address this gap, we conducted a prospective case-control study analysing uterine lavage fluid from women undergoing diagnostic evaluation. The study included 257 participants: 80 diagnosed with endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia (EIN), 89 with early-stage EC, and 88 healthy controls. Using targeted next-generation sequencing, we examined genetic alterations in 22 selected genes associated with EC development. RESULTS Our findings did not confirm a direct association between specific genetic mutations in uterine lavage fluid and the presence of EIN or early-stage EC (p = 0.501). Mutations were detected in both cases and controls, with a higher overall mutation burden observed in controls, suggesting potential background genomic alterations unrelated to EC development. In conclusion, while molecular profiling of uterine lavage fluid remains a promising concept for non-invasive diagnosis, our results highlight significant challenges in specificity. Further studies with larger cohorts and additional biomarkers are necessary to clarify its diagnostic relevance and clinical applicability.

Abstract
Cervical cancer (CC) remains a significant global health challenge, with the interplay between microbiome and cancer progression becoming increasingly evident. A comprehensive literature search was conducted across multiple databases, including Embase, NCBI, Google Scholar, Elsevier, Science Direct and PubMed, utilising the specific keywords such as 'cervical cancer', 'cervical microbiome', 'vaginal microbiome', 'Human papillomavirus', 'nanoparticles', 'drug delivery' and 'dysbiosis'. Studies published over the past 15 years were reviewed. A total of 400 articles were identified and 65 research articles were finally included. This systematic approach identified relevant studies, enabling an in-depth analysis of microbial species, such as Parabacteroides, Escherichia, Shigella, Gardnerella and Fusobacterium which are recognised as the potential biomarkers for CC diagnosis and progression. Dysbiosis is characterised by a reduction in helpful bacteria and a proliferation of harmful ones. It is linked to chronic inflammation and human papillomavirus infection, both of which facilitate the CC progression. Advanced nanotechnology presents innovative therapeutic options for CC treatment, enhancing drug delivery systems and targeting tumour cells more effectively. Moreover, incorporating nanocarriers into treatment regimens aims to improve the bioavailability and efficacy of existing therapies, potentially transforming the clinical approaches to CC management. This review highlights the dual role of the microbiome as both a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker and elucidates the potential of nanotechnology in optimising treatment strategies, advocating for further research on microbial interactions in cancer pathology.

Abstract
Introduction Previous research has established associations between alterations in gut microbiota composition and various gynecologic tumors. However, establishing a causal relationship between gut microbiota and these tumors remains necessary. This study employs a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach to investigate causality, aiming to identify pathogenic bacterial communities potentially involved in gynecologic tumor development. Methods Data from the MiBioGen consortium's Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) on gut microbiota were used as the exposure variable. Four common gynecologic neoplasms, including uterine fibroids (UF), endometrial cancer (EC), ovarian cancer (OC), and cervical cancer (CC), were selected as outcome variables. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) significantly associated with gut microbiota were chosen as instrumental variables (IVs). The inverse variance-weighted (IVW) method was used as the primary MR analysis to assess the causal relationship. External validation An was conducted using an independent. Sensitivity analyses were performed to ensure robustness. Reverse MR analysis was also conducted to assess potential reverse causation. Results Combining discovery and validation cohorts, we found that higher relative abundance of Lachnospiraceae is associated with lower UF risk (OR: 0.882, 95% CI: 0.793-0.982, P = 0.022). Conversely, higher OC incidence is associated with increased relative abundance of Lachnospiraceae (OR: 1.329, 95% CI: 1.019-1.732, P = 0.036). Sensitivity analyses confirmed these findings' reliability. Reverse MR analysis showed no evidence of reverse causation between UF, OC, and Lachnospiraceae. Discussion This study establishes a causal relationship between Lachnospiraceae relative abundance and both UF and OC. These findings provide new insights into the potential role of gut microbiota in mechanisms underlying gynecological tumors development.

Abstract
Microbiome and microbial dysbiosis have been proven to be involved in the carcinogenesis and treatment of gynecologic malignancies. However, there is a noticeable gap in the literature, as no comprehensive papers have covered general information, research status, and research frontiers in this field. This study addressed this gap by exploring the relationship between the gut and female reproductive tract (FRT) microbiome and gynecological cancers from a bibliometric perspective. Using VOSviewer 1.6.18, CiteSpace 6.1.R6, and HistCite Pro 2.1 software, we analyzed data retrieved from the Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection (WoSCC) database. Our dataset, consisting of 204 articles published from 2012 to 2022, revealed a consistent and upward publication trend. The United States and the United Kingdom were the primary driving forces, attributed to their prolificacy, high-quality output, and extensive cooperation. The University of Arizona Cancer Center, which is affiliated with the United States, ranked first among the top ten most prolific institutions. Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology emerged as the leading publisher. Herbst-Kralovetz MM led as the most productive author. Mitra A was the most influential author. Cervical cancer is notably associated with the microbiome, while endometrial and ovarian cancers are receiving increased attention in the last year. Intersections between the gut microbiome and estrogen are of growing importance. Current research focuses on identifying specific microbial species for etiological diagnosis, while frontiers mainly focus on the anticancer potential of microorganisms, such as regulating the effects of immune checkpoint inhibitors. In conclusion, this study sheds light on a novel and burgeoning direction of research, providing a one-stop overview of the microbiome in gynecologic malignancies. Its findings aim to help young researchers to identify research directions and future trends for ongoing investigations.

Abstract
Dysbiosis of the microbiota in the gastrointestinal tract can induce the development of gynaecological tumours, particularly in postmenopausal women, by causing DNA damage and alterations in metabolite metabolism. Dysbiosis also complicates cancer treatment by influencing the body's immune response and disrupting the sensitivity to chemotherapy drugs. Therefore, it is crucial to maintain homeostasis in the gut microbiota through the effective use of food components that affect its structure. Recent studies have shown that polyphenols, which are likely to be the most important secondary metabolites produced by plants, exhibit prebiotic properties. They affect the structure of the gut microbiota and the synthesis of metabolites. In this review, we summarise the current state of knowledge, focusing on the impact of polyphenols on the development of gynaecological tumours, particularly endometrial cancer, and emphasising that polyphenol consumption leads to beneficial modifications in the structure of the gut microbiota.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cancer is an outcome of various disrupted or dysregulated metabolic processes like apoptosis, growth, and self-cell transformation. Human anatomy harbors trillions of microbes, and these microbes actively influence all kinds of human metabolic activities, including the human immune response. The immune system which inherently acts as a sentinel against microbes, curiously tolerates and even maintains a distinct normal microflora in our body. This emphasizes the evolutionarily significant role of microbiota in shaping our adaptive immune system and even potentiating its function in chronic ailments like cancers. Microbes interact with the host immune cells and play a part in cancer progression or regression by modulating immune cells, producing immunosuppressants, virulence factors, and genotoxins. RECENT FINDINGS An expanding plethora of studies suggest and support the evidence of microbiome impacting cancer etiology. Several studies also indicate that the microbiome can supplement various cancer therapies, increasing their efficacy. The present review discusses the relationship between bacterial and viral microbiota with cancer, discussing different carcinogenic mechanisms influenced by prokaryotes with special emphasis on their immunomodulatory axis. It also elucidates the potential of the microbiome in transforming the efficacy of immunotherapeutic treatments. CONCLUSION This review offers a thorough overview of the complex interaction between the human immune system and the microbiome and its impact on the development of cancer. The microbiome affects the immune responses as well as progression of tumor transformation, hence microbiome-based therapies can vastly improve the effectiveness of cancer immunotherapies. Individual variations of the microbiome and its dynamic variability in every individual impacts the immune modulation and cancer progression. Therefore, further research is required to understand these underlying processes in detail, so as to design better microbiome-immune system axis in the treatment of cancer.

Abstract
Background and objectives: Vaccination hesitancy is a growing problem associated with decreasing chances for the elimination of vaccine-preventable diseases through immunization. This research was conducted to learn about parents' attitudes toward vaccination, particularly against HPV, in the context of their beliefs and fears regarding immunization and the impact of these views on their children's vaccination decisions. An additional goal was to determine what views or convictions most often lead to the phenomenon of delaying or refusing vaccinations, especially HPV vaccines, in the surveyed community. Materials and Methods: An online questionnaire was conducted in which parents marked how they vaccinated their children with mandatory vaccinations and whether they took the opportunity to protect their children with additional vaccinations, including HPV and COVID-19. Respondents also marked the extent to which they agreed with the statements, regarding the safety of vaccinations, doubts about them, as well as popular anti-vaccine myths. Results: A total of 250 questionnaires were collected with data on the immunization of 425 children. Associations between specific beliefs and vaccine abstention were established. The most motivating factor for vaccination against HPV was the parent's awareness that the virus HP is the cause of cancer. The most inhibiting factor was respondent's compliance with the opinion that HPV vaccines can affect the child's sexual activity. Conclusions: The results indicate that information campaigns are needed, especially focusing on vaccine safety and the regularity and transparency of monitoring adverse effects. The obtained results will be used to create educational interventions against vaccination hesitancy more adapted to local conditions.
