Abstract
Objective Frailty is a significant health problem that results in adverse outcomes, reduced quality of life, and increased medical and nursing care costs. This study aimed to review the effect of digital health interventions on improving physical activity, physical function, and social function in non-older individuals at risk of frailty. Methods Randomized controlled trials of digital health interventions reporting frailty-related outcomes on physical activity, physical function, and social function in non-older individuals at risk of frailty were collected. The literature was reviewed, and the risk of bias was assessed. Meta-analyses were conducted for each outcome, and the certainty of evidence was assessed using Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation. Results The review included a total of 63 records. The meta-analysis showed that digital health interventions positively affected the volume of physical activity, daily steps, walking test, walking speed, VO2peak, dynamic gait index, timed up and go test, and MOS 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey Social Functioning. However, no significant effect on the time of physical activity was found. Despite the absence of fatal bias, the overall certainty of the evidence was not high because of the small number of studies and participants included in the analysis. Conclusions Digital health interventions can improve physical activity, physical function, and social function in non-older individuals at risk of frailty. However, the evidence had limited certainty, and the evidence supporting the effect of digital health intervention is insufficient. Thus, more studies are needed to clarify the effects of these interventions.

Abstract
PURPOSE To evaluate the impacts of tele-exercise intervention with cancer patients' quality of life, taking into account the influence of the duration of tele-exercise intervention, type of intervention, and gender of cancer patients on quality of life. METHODS The PubMed (MEDLINE), Embase, CINAHL, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), Web of Science, and PsycINFO databases were searched from inception to August 21, 2023. The Cochrane Collaboration's risk of bias tool 2 was utilized to estimate the risk of bias, and the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment. For statistical analyses, R Studio was employed. RESULTS This meta-analysis contained eight trials. When compared to controls, tele-exercise interventions (SMD = 0.41, 95% CI: 0.12 to 0.70, p < .010; I2 = 54%, p = .030) have a positive influence on boosting the quality of life within cancer patients. Subgroup analyses demonstrated the greater effectiveness of tele-exercise in enhancing the quality of life of cancer patients when the duration was greater than or equal to 10 weeks. Furthermore, tele-exercise was found to have a stronger advantageous effect on quality of life among female cancer. In addition, among the types of interventions for tele-exercise, neither web-based nor telephone-based formats significantly enhanced quality of life among cancer patients. CONCLUSION Tele-exercise interventions are a cost-effective and feasible non-pharmacologic complementary way to promote cancer patients' quality of life. Additional large-sample, carefully designed randomized controlled trials are warranted to further validate the impact of tele-exercise concerning cancer patients' quality of life. Abstract
BACKGROUND Wearable technology is used to monitor and motivate physical activity (PA) and provides continuous, objective PA and sleep data outside the clinical setting. We reviewed the literature to understand how wearables are integrated into prostate cancer (PC) investigations in order to identify current practices, gaps, and research opportunities. METHODS We conducted a literature search for articles using wearables, among PC survivors published between 2012 and 2022. We extracted study details, interventions and outcomes, participant baseline characteristics, and device characteristics and grouped them by study type: randomized control trials (RCTs) and non-randomized studies. RESULTS Of 354 articles screened, 44 met eligibility criteria (23 RCTs, and 21 non-randomized). 89% used wearables to monitor PA metrics, 11%, sleep metrics, and 6.8%, both. Most studies involved exercise (70% RCTs, 9% non-randomized studies) or lifestyle interventions (30% RCTs, 9% non-randomized studies). Intervention delivery methods included personalized computer-based (48%), in-person (e.g., trainer) (20%), and education web or print-based (20%). Interventions occurred at the participant's home (48%) or at a gym (20%). 57% of the studies evaluated the feasibility and acceptability of the wearable as an activity-measuring device or as part of a remotely delivered computer-based intervention. Studies used wearables to monitor adherence to PA interventions, motivate behavior change, to assess patient outcomes (e.g., patient function, quality of life, mood), or as data collection tools. CONCLUSIONS Wearables are primarily being used to assess daily activity and monitor adherence to exercise interventions in clinical studies involving PC survivors. Findings suggest that they are feasible for use in this population. More research is needed to understand how to integrate wearables into routine clinical care, expand their use to predict clinical outcomes, or to deliver tailored interventions for PC survivors.

Abstract
PURPOSE This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to identify whether E-health interventions effectively improve physical activity (PA) in cancer survivors. METHODS PubMed, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library databases were searched from inception to October 21, 2023. Randomized controlled trials reporting the effect of E-health interventions on PA among cancer survivors were included. Random-effect models were used to calculate standardized mean differences (SMD) and the 95% confidence interval (CI). RESULTS In total, 15 trials with 2,291 cancer survivors were included in this meta-analysis. The results showed that E-health interventions improved moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) among cancer survivors (SMD = 0.26, 95% CI 0.08, 0.43, N = 8, p < 0.001, I2 = 37%), as well as moderate physical activity (MPA) (SMD = 0.22, 95% CI 0.05, 0.38, N = 9, p < 0.001, I2 = 28%) and vigorous physical activity (VPA) (SMD = 0.34, 95% CI 0.15, 0.54, N = 6, p < 0.001, I2 = 11%). CONCLUSION E-health interventions are effective at promoting PA among cancer survivors. As current research primarily focuses on immediate post-intervention measurements with limited follow-up data, further investigation is required to explore the long-term effects of E-health interventions on PA.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study's primary aim was to investigate whether including a mental health component to healthy lifestyle interventions are associated with greater effects on quality of life (QoL) for post-treatment cancer survivors than addressing physical activity and/or nutrition alone. METHODS PsycINFO, Scopus, Medline, CINAHL, and Google Scholar were searched to identify randomised control trials of healthy lifestyle interventions for post-treatment cancer survivors, with a usual care or waitlist control, and measured QoL. Meta-analyses quantified the effects of interventions vs controls at post-treatment on total QoL, physical, emotional, and social well-being. Subgroup analyses compared interventions with vs without a mental health component, modes of delivery, and duration. The quality of the included studies was assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias 2. RESULTS Eighty-eight papers evaluating 110 interventions were included: 66 effect sizes were extracted for meta-analysis, and 22 papers were narratively synthesised. The pooled effect size demonstrated a small, significant effect of healthy lifestyle interventions in comparison to control for all QoL outcomes (total g = 0.32, p >.001; physical g = 0.19, p = 0.05; emotional g = 0.20, p >.001; social g = 0.18, p = 0.01). There was no significant difference between interventions with vs without a mental health component. Face-to-face delivered interventions were associated with greater total QoL and physical well-being compared to other modalities. Interventions delivered ≤12 weeks were associated with greater physical well-being than those delivered ≥13 weeks. Overall, studies had substantial levels of heterogeneity and 55.9% demonstrated high risk of bias. CONCLUSIONS Participating in a healthy lifestyle intervention following cancer treatment improves QoL. Few trials addressed mental health or evaluated online or telephone modalities; future research should develop and evaluate interventions that utilise these features. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS Brief healthy lifestyle interventions can be recommended for cancer survivors, particularly those interested in improving physical well-being.

Abstract
Background Breast cancer endocrine therapy research has become a crucial domain in oncology since hormone receptor-positive breast cancers have been increasingly recognized, and targeted therapeutic interventions have been advancing over the past few years. This bibliometric analysis attempts to shed light on the trends, dynamics, and knowledge hotspots that have shaped the landscape of breast cancer endocrine therapy research between 2003 and 2022. Methods In this study, we comprehensively reviewed the scientific literature spanning the above-mentioned period, which included publications accessible through the database of the Web of Science (WOS) and the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). Next, a systematic and data-driven analysis supported by sophisticated software tools was conducted, such that the core themes, prolific authors, influential journals, prominent countries, and critical citation patterns in the relevant research field can be clarified. Results A continuous and substantial expansion of breast cancer endocrine therapy research was revealed over the evaluated period. A total of 1,317 scholarly articles were examined. The results of the analysis suggested that research on endocrine therapy for breast cancer has laid a solid basis for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. From a geographical perspective, the US, the UK, and China emerged as the most active contributors, illustrating the global impact of this study. Furthermore, our analysis delineated prominent research topics that have dominated the discourse in the past two decades, including drug therapy, therapeutic efficacy, molecular biomarkers, and hormonal receptor interactions. Conclusion This comprehensive bibliometric analysis provides a panoramic view of the ever-evolving landscape of breast cancer endocrine therapy research. The findings highlight the trajectory of past developments while signifying an avenue of vast opportunities for future investigations and therapeutic advancements. As the field continues to burgeon, this analysis will provide valuable guidance for to researchers toward pertinent knowledge hotspots and emerging trends, which can expedite the discoveries in the realm of breast cancer endocrine therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Adults with chronic health conditions need support to manage modifiable risk factors such as physical inactivity and poor diet. Disease-specific websites with health information on physical activity and diet quality may be effective in supporting adults in managing their chronic illnesses. OBJECTIVE The primary aim of this review was to determine whether using websites with health information can lead to improvements in physical activity levels or diet quality in adults with chronic health conditions. METHODS Randomized controlled trials evaluating the effectiveness of website use on levels of physical activity or diet quality in adults with chronic health conditions were included. MEDLINE, Embase, CINAHL, and the Physiotherapy Evidence Database were searched from the earliest available record until February 2023. Data for outcomes measuring physical activity levels; diet quality; and, where reported, self-efficacy and quality of life were independently extracted by 2 reviewers. The risk of bias was assessed using the Physiotherapy Evidence Database scale, and the overall certainty of evidence was assessed using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation approach. Where values were presented as the same unit of measure, postintervention scores were pooled for meta-analysis to yield an overall mean difference (MD). A standardized MD (SMD) was calculated for the pooled data in which different units for the same outcome were used. Individual trial data were described in cases where the data of trials could not be pooled. RESULTS A total of 29 trials (N=6418 participants) across 8 different disease groups with intervention periods ranging from 4 weeks to 12 months were included in the analysis. There was moderate-certainty evidence that using websites with health information increased levels of moderate to vigorous physical activity (MD=39 min/wk, 95% CI 18.60-58.47), quality of life (SMD=0.36, 95% CI 0.12-0.59), and self-efficacy (SMD=0.26, 95% CI 0.05-0.48) and high-certainty evidence for reduction in processed meat consumption (MD=1.1 portions/wk, 95% CI 0.70-1.58) when compared with usual care. No differences were detected in other measures of diet quality. There was no increased benefit for website users who were offered additional support. CONCLUSIONS The use of websites for risk factor management has the potential to improve physical activity levels, quality of life, and self-efficacy as well as reduce processed meat consumption for adults living with chronic health conditions when compared with usual care. However, it remains unclear whether using websites leads to meaningful and long-lasting behavior change. Abstract
BACKGROUND The incidence of prostate cancer increases with age. Physical activity can improve the prognosis and quality of life of patients. However, studies have observed lower levels of physical activity in men with prostate cancer, and most do not meet physical activity guidelines. Web-based physical activity is a promising form of exercise that will play an important role in prostate cancer patients. AIMS To synthesise the experiences and preferences of prostate cancer patients for web-based PA applications, thereby providing a basis for the construction of intervention programs tailored to the needs of patients. METHODS We systematically searched PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, CINAHL and three Chinese databases. This review includes qualitative empirical reports from the date of establishment of the respective databases until April 2023. Data extraction was performed by two independent reviewers and study quality was assessed. RESULTS A total of nine studies were included. The experiences and preferences of prostate cancer patients with web-based physical activity apps were synthesised into the following three analysis themes: (1) Pursuing individualised management strategies; (2) Perceiving and seeking social support and (3) Moving forwards in the struggle. CONCLUSION Our study found that men with prostate cancer experienced greater challenges in engaging in physical activity. Because of individual differences between patients, health care providers need to provide care that is tailored to each patient. Future studies should further explore the specific effects of web-based PA applications in promoting the physical function of prostate cancer patients to increase their flexibility. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE This article synthesises prostate cancer patients' experiences with web-based physical activity applications, highlighting their specific information needs. The results suggest several implications for the application of individualised management strategies, the perception and search for social support, and health- literacy. The results of this study will inform future research and program design that recognises the importance of patient-centred efforts to better self-manage physical function. PATIENT OR PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION In the early stages of the study, objectives and subsequent findings were presented and discussed in a meeting with a reference group that represented patients, health professionals and the public.

Abstract
PURPOSE Digital interventions, like websites, offer greater access to psychosocial treatments; however, engagement is often suboptimal. Initial use may be a target to "hook" participants. Few studies examine engagement with cognitive behavioral stress management (CBSM). We tested predictors of engagement in the first week of using a CBSM website among women with breast cancer (BC). METHODS Older women (≥ 50 years) with nonmetastatic BC enrolled in an on-going trial (8/2016-4/2022, #NCT03955991) and were randomized to receive 10 synchronous, virtual CBSM group sessions immediately (n = 41) or after a 6-month waitlist (n = 34). All received simultaneous access to an asynchronous website, where supplemental videos and resources were released weekly. Engagement was tracked via breadth (features used) and depth (clicks within content). Multilevel modeling tested predictors of engagement (i.e., time, condition, age, daily stress, depression, race, ethnicity, disease stage). RESULTS Breadth decreased over the first week of CBSM (b = -0.93, p < .01), and women with more advanced stage disease engaged with more breadth (b = 0.52, p < .01) and depth (b = 14.06, p < .01) than women with earlier stage disease. Non-Hispanic (b = -0.59, p = .03) and White (b = -0.97, p < .01) women engaged with more features. Cancer stage and intervention timing interacted. Women with more advanced cancer stage who received CBSM later engaged with the most depth (b = -11.73, p = .04). All other characteristics did not predict engagement. CONCLUSIONS Disease stage, race, ethnicity, and intervention timing predicted engagement with a CBSM website in older BC patients. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS Delivering CBSM later in cancer treatment may mitigate competing demands. Fostering greater engagement in racial/ethnic minorities is needed.

Abstract
Background: Long-term cancer survivors have specific needs that are frequently neglected. Telehealth, as a new form of health care, can benefit this growing population. Objective: To identify, analyze, and synthesize the existing evidence on the use of telehealth in the care of cancer survivors after the end of treatment. Methods: A scoping review was conducted in the databases PubMed, CINAHL, COCHRANE, SCIELO, DIALNET, and LILACS and reference institutions in cancer. Results: The initial search yielded 406 publications with 59 articles meeting the eligibility criteria. There are different types of telehealth (video calls, phone calls, websites, mobile applications, and short message services) used for the care of cancer survivors. Most telehealth interventions focus on improving the physical and mental spheres of quality of life in the extended survival phase (from 1 to 3 years postdiagnosis), with only two articles (3%) on long-term cancer survivors (>5 years postdiagnosis). Survivors are satisfied with telehealth interventions, noting the importance of improving comprehensibility, personalization of the platforms, and the lack of excessive information included. Conclusions: Telehealth is a feasible modality for cancer survival care. The scarcity of interventions aimed at long-term survivors stands out, as does the general neglect of the social and spiritual spheres of quality of life. Implications for Practice: Telehealth platforms must adapt their content, format, and items to the preferences reported by the survivors.

Abstract
This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of various exercise interventions in enhancing the quality of life for breast cancer survivors. To achieve this, randomized controlled trials were identified from major electronic databases, focusing on the relationship between exercise and quality of life in breast cancer survivors. The primary outcome was the impact of exercise on quality of life 12 weeks after the intervention, with a secondary outcome comparing dropout rates between intervention groups and a regular care control group. The study protocol was registered with INPLASY (INPLASY202340007). A network meta-analysis of nine randomized controlled trials involving 725 participants was conducted, examining aerobic and strength training, aerobic activity, yoga, and strength exercise. Results showed that aerobic and strength training was the most effective intervention, significantly improving the quality of life of breast cancer survivors (1.31; 95% confidence interval: 0.49 to 2.12). Aerobic activity had a borderline effect (0.83; 0.03 to 1.63), while no exercise interventions were associated with an increased dropout risk compared to the control group (regular care). The study concluded that concurrent aerobic and strength training can improve breast cancer survivors' quality of life after 12 weeks of intervention without increasing dropout risk compared to regular care.

Abstract
PURPOSE Advances in digital health technology can overcome barriers to measurement of function and mobility for older adults with blood cancers, but little is known about how older adults perceive such technology for use in their homes. METHODS To characterize potential benefits and barriers associated with using technology for home functional assessment, we conducted three semistructured focus groups (FGs) in January 2022. Eligible patients came from the Older Adult Hematologic Malignancies Program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), which includes adults 73 years and older enrolled during their initial consult with their oncologist. Eligible caregivers were 18 years and older and identified by enrolled patients as their primary caregiver. Eligible clinicians were practicing DFCI hematologic oncologists, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants with ≥2 years of clinical experience. A qualitative researcher led thematic analysis of FG transcripts to identify key themes. RESULTS Twenty-three participants attended the three FGs: eight patients, seven caregivers, and eight oncology clinicians. All participants valued function and mobility assessments and felt that technology could overcome barriers to their measurement. We identified three themes related to potential benefits: making it easier for oncology teams to consider function and mobility; providing standardized, objective data; and facilitating longitudinal data. We also identified four themes related to barriers to home functional assessment: concerns related to privacy and confidentiality, burden of measuring additional patient data, challenges in operating new technology, and concerns related to data improving care. CONCLUSION These data suggest that specific concerns raised by older patients, caregivers, and oncology clinicians must be addressed to improve acceptability and uptake of technology used to measure function and mobility in the home.

Effect and feasibility of gamification interventions for improving physical activity and health-related outcomes in cancer survivors: an early systematic review and meta-analysis. Abstract
BACKGROUND Despite the well-documented advantages of regular physical activity (PA), patients with cancer show suboptimal participation. By using game design elements, gamification could be used to motivate individuals to engage in PA. It has been demonstrated that gamification interventions positively affect children, adolescents and older adults in health-related contexts. There are, however, inconsistent findings regarding the impact of gamification interventions on cancer survivors' PA and health-related outcomes, according to the literature. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness and feasibility of gamification interventions for improving PA and health-related outcomes among cancer survivors. METHODS A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted following the Cochrane Handbook and PRISMA guidelines. Eight English databases and three Chinese databases were searched to identify eligible articles from inception to February 2022. Two reviewers independently performed the literature screening and data extraction. The Cochrane Risk of Bias tool was used to assess the risk of bias. The Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluations (GRADE) Working Group levels of evidence was used to evaluate the certainty of the findings. RESULTS Ten randomised controlled trials (RCTs) published between 2014 and 2022 were included. The meta-analysis revealed no significant differences in the step counts and for moderate to vigorous PA, and the certainty of the findings was very low, according to GRADE. Meta-analysis for most outcomes could not be performed owing to the fewer included studies and significant heterogeneity. Most studies reported positive effects in improving moderate PA, sedentary behaviour, fatigue and at least one domain of quality of life. This review proved that gamified interactions are associated with low adverse event rates. CONCLUSION Gamification interventions could be a feasible way to promote the adoption of mobile health (mHealth) technology in patients with cancer. Individual studies have demonstrated some positive effects of gamification interventions on PA and health-related outcomes. However, limited studies, small sample sizes and methodological heterogeneity weaken the evidence. Larger, well-designed RCTs are required to confirm the impact of gamification interventions on PA and health-related outcomes in cancer survivors.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is a disabling chronic condition that cancer survivors could experience during and after recovery and that might benefit from self-managed physical activity (PA) programs. This scoping review aimed to map self-managed PA interventions found in literature for the management of CRF. METHODS Given the heterogeneity of the topic, scoping review methodological frameworks were used. Pubmed, Cinahl and Cochrane databases were searched for primary literature. Inclusion criteria: self-managed PA meant as any exercise program prescribed by a professional either with or without initial supervision and training which then continued independently for a given time frame; patient-reported fatigue assessment included in the outcome measures. Articles dealing with entirely supervised interventions, dietary or psychological-only therapies, and with palliative care were excluded. RESULTS Of the 543 experimental or observational studies screened, 63 were included. Of these forty-three studies were randomized controlled trials. Data were summarized in tables describing self-managed interventions according to: type of self-managed activity, frequency and duration, strategies to promote adherence, professionals supervising the treatment, outcome measures, and efficacy. A narrative synthesis was also added to further explain findings. CONCLUSIONS We collected the available evidence on PA when this was self-managed by patients after prescription by a healthcare provider. Clinicians and researchers should consider incorporating self-care programs in CRF patients' recovery journey gradually, identifying the best strategies to integrate them into daily life. Researchers should specify the characteristics of PA programs when designing new studies. This review highlighted the areas to be investigated for future studies pertaining to self-managed PA.

Abstract
Objective: The aim of this scope review was to map the available scientific evidence on physical activity counseling for adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The search was performed in PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, SPORTDiscus, LILACS, SciELO, and CINAHL databases. Studies that described the population of adults over 18 years of age that used physical activity counseling during the COVID-19 pandemic context were selected. Data extracted were author, study location, sample, age group, sex, population characteristics, design, means used for intervention, time of intervention, professionals involved, and intervention or counseling strategy. Results: Physical activity counseling interventions were aimed at participants with insufficient levels of physical activity or with comorbidities; counseling was carried out in the online format; by health professionals, in the highest proportion of coaches, physicians, researchers, and nutritionists; through educational contents regarding the practice of physical activity; and using the transtheoretical model of behavior change as a reference method. Conclusions: The results of this review can provide tools for health professionals to assist in the process of coping with physical inactivity.
