Time Series Data Prediction and Feature Analysis of Sports Dance Movements Based on Machine Learning

Sports dance is a competition project and a kind of sports, with the characteristics of being smooth, generous, leisurely, and comfortable, dance steps, smooth movements, and flowing clouds, and it can give full play to the indoor space. In the light of the new era, sports dance is also playing an increasingly important role. Through the time series data and feature analysis of dance sports movements through machine learning, the internal information is mined to find the trends and laws. Machine learning in the era of big data is widely used in research as the main tool for data analysis and mining. The key difficulty of data mining has always been time series data. Machine learning refers to a method of using the resulting data in a computer to derive a certain model and then using this model to make predictions. The core is “using algorithms to parse data, learn from it, and then make decisions or predictions about new data.”

Insulator Breakage Detection Based on Improved YOLOv5

Aerial images have complex backgrounds, small targets, and overlapping targets, resulting in low accuracy of intelligent detection of overhead line insulators. This paper proposes an improved algorithm for insulator breakage detection based on YOLOv5: The ECA-Net (Efficient Channel Attention Network) attention mechanism is integrated into its backbone feature extraction layer, and the effective distinction between background and target is achieved by increasing the weight of important channels. A bidirectional feature pyramid network is added to the feature fusion layer, and large-scale images with more original information are combined to effectively retain small target features. Incorporating a flexible detection frame selection algorithm Soft-NMS (Soft Non-Maximum Suppression) into the prediction layer to re-screen the target frame, thereby reducing the probability of mistaken deletion of overlapping targets. The effectiveness of the improved YOLOv5 algorithm is verified in the actual aerial image dataset, and the results show that the mean Average Precision (mAP) of the improved algorithm is 95.02% and the detection speed FPS (Frames Per Second) can reach 49.4 frames/s, which meets the real-time and accuracy requirements of engineering applications.

Real-Time Detection and Spatial Localization of Insulators for UAV Inspection Based on Binocular Stereo Vision

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become important tools for power transmission line inspection. Cameras installed on the platforms can efficiently obtain aerial images containing information about power equipment. However, most of the existing inspection systems cannot perform automatic real-time detection of transmission line components. In this paper, an automatic transmission line inspection system incorporating UAV remote sensing with binocular visual perception technology is developed to accurately detect and locate power equipment in real time. The system consists of a UAV module, embedded industrial computer, binocular visual perception module, and control and observation module. Insulators, which are key components in power transmission lines as well as fault-prone components, are selected as the detection targets. Insulator detection and spatial localization in aerial images with cluttered backgrounds are interesting but challenging tasks for an automatic transmission line inspection system. A two-stage strategy is proposed to achieve precise identification of insulators. First, candidate insulator regions are obtained based on RGB-D saliency detection. Then, the skeleton structure of candidate insulator regions is extracted. We implement a structure search to realize the final accurate detection of insulators. On the basis of insulator detection results, we further propose a real-time object spatial localization method that combines binocular stereo vision and a global positioning system (GPS). The longitude, latitude, and height of insulators are obtained through coordinate conversion based on the UAV’s real-time flight data and equipment parameters. Experiment results in the actual inspection environment (220 kV power transmission line) show that the presented system meets the requirement of robustness and accuracy of insulator detection and spatial localization in practical engineering.

A Drone Based Transmission Line Components Inspection System with Deep Learning Technique

Defects in high voltage transmission line components such as cracked insulators, broken wires rope, and corroded power line joints, are very common due to continuous exposure of these components to harsh environmental conditions. Consequently, they pose a great threat to humans and the environment. This paper presents a real-time aerial power line inspection system that aims to detect power line components such as insulators (polymer and porcelain), splitters, damper-weights, power lines, and then analyze these transmission line components for potential defects. The proposed system employs a deep learning-based framework using Jetson TX2 embedded platform for the real-time detection and localization of these components from a live video captured by remote-controlled drone. The detected components are then analyzed using novel defect detection algorithms, presented in this paper. Results show that the proposed detection and localization system is robust against highly cluttered environment, while the proposed defect analyzer outperforms similar researches in terms of defect detection precision and recall. With the help of the proposed system automatic defect analyzing system, manual inspection time can be reduced.

Improving Neural Network Detection Accuracy of Electric Power Bushings in Infrared Images by Hough Transform

To improve the neural network detection accuracy of the electric power bushings in infrared images, a modified algorithm based on the You Only Look Once version 2 (YOLOv2) network is proposed to achieve better recognition results. Specifically, YOLOv2 corresponds to a convolutional neural network (CNN), although its rotation invariance is poor, and some bounding boxes (BBs) exhibit certain deviations. To solve this problem, the standard Hough transform and image rotation are utilized to determine the optimal recognition angle for target detection, such that an optimal recognition effect of YOLOv2 on inclined objects (for example, bushing) is achieved. With respect to the problem that the BB is biased, the shape feature of the bushing is extracted by the Gap statistic algorithm, based on K-means clustering; thereafter, the sliding window (SW) is utilized to determine the optimal recognition area. Experimental verification indicates that the proposed rotating image method can improve the recognition effect, and the SW can further modify the BB. The accuracy of target detection increases to 97.33%, and the recall increases to 95%.

Search Like an Eagle: A Cascaded Model for Insulator Missing Faults Detection in Aerial Images

Insulator missing fault is a serious accident of high-voltage transmission lines, which can cause abnormal energy supply. Recently, a lot of vision-based methods are proposed for detecting an insulator missing fault in aerial images. However, these methods usually lack efficiency and robustness due to the effect of the complex background interferences in the aerial images. More importantly, most of these methods cannot address the insulator multi-fault detection. This paper proposes an unprecedented cascaded model to detect insulator multi-fault in the aerial images to solve the existing challenges. Firstly, a total of 764 images are adopted to create a novel insulator missing faults dataset ‘IMF-detection’. Secondly, a new network is proposed to locate the insulator string from the complex background. Then, the located region that contains the insulator string is set to be an RoI (region of interest) region. Finally, the YOLO-v3 tiny network is trained and then used to detect the insulator missing faults in the RoI region. Experimental results and analysis validate that the proposed method is more efficient and robust than some previous works. Most importantly, the average running time of the proposed method is about 30ms, which demonstrates that it has the potential to be adopted for the on-line detection of insulator missing faults.
