Study of the Magnetized Hybrid Nanofluid Flow through a Flat Elastic Surface with Applications in Solar Energy

Approaches through effects of Hall current, nanoparticle radius, inter-particle spacing and multiple slips on the suspension of copper-water nanofluid with gyrotactic microorganisms

In this comprehensive study, the dynamic behavior of a copper-water nanofluid infused with gyrotactic microorganisms, focusing on the effects of Hall current, nanoparticle radius, inter-particle spacing, and multiple slip mechanisms is investigated. Through advanced numerical simulations and rigorous analysis, intricate relationships between the parameters and the suspension's characteristics are uncovered. Comparison of the present results show a good agreement with the published results. The research findings unveil the potential for fine-tuning transport processes, manipulating thermal properties, and controlling dispersion and aggregation in nanofluids. These insights hold promise for a wide array of applications, from enhancing heat exchangers and cooling systems to pioneering biomedical devices utilizing gyrotactic microorganisms for targeted drug delivery and sensing. This study not only advances the fundamental understanding of nanofluid dynamics but also paves the way for innovative developments across various scientific and engineering domains.

Investigating the influence of temperature-dependent rheological properties on nanofluid behavior in heat transfer

Nanofluids are advanced heat transfer fluids whose performance is influenced by various thermo-physical properties, including nanoparticle volume fraction, base fluid, and temperature. Rheological mathematical models have been established by using empirical data in order to characterize these features as dependent on parameters such as volume fraction, base fluid composition, and temperature. These models have been integrated into transport equations. Nanofluids composed of metallic oxides (Al2O3, SiO2) and carbon nanostructures (PEG-GnP, PEG-TGr) dispersed in deionized H2O, with nanoparticle concentrations ranging from 0.025% to 0.1%, and temperatures between 30 °C and 50 °C, were utilized to investigate flow over thin needle. The rheological models contained transport equations include the partial differential equations. The transport equations were simplified through various transformations and then solved numerically. The results in form of velocity and temperature distributions were obtained, along with boundary layer parameters, Nusselt number and coefficient of skin friction. The present study contributes to the existing knowledge by elucidating the intricate relationship between nanoparticle volume fraction, base fluid properties, and temperature in nanofluid behavior.

Comparative study on conventional and phase change material (PCM) based solar desalination still using low-pressure water as a heat storage medium

Over the years, solar desalination is a renewable energy-driven method to produce freshwater from saline/ brackish water. Since solar radiation is available only in the daytime, many studies have been undertaken to store solar energy using phase change material (PCM). The aim of this study is to compare the two solar stills (still I as a conventional solar still and still II as a PCM-integrated solar still). In still II, using low-pressure water as thermal energy storage, PCM in a copper tube with a 1 liter capacity has been additionally installed than still I. Five trials have been conducted to compare the performance and yield between stills I and II, with various factors during the experiment. Remarkably, three distinct vacuum pressures - 712 mmHg (for trials 1, 2, and 3), - 690 mmHg (for trial 4), and - 660 mmHg (for trial 5) were used for the investigation to compare the performance of PCM-based solar still with conventional solar still among five trials. Finally, at a vacuum of -712 mmHg and 175 ml of water poured inside the low-pressure system, the distillate yield obtained from still II is 9.375% higher than the yield of still I.

Analytical Study of (Ag-Graphene)/Blood Hybrid Nanofluid Influenced by (Platelets-Cylindrical)nanoparticles and Joule Heating via VIM

Applications: Flow-through permeable media have a wide range of applications in biomedical engineering, geophysical fluid dynamics, and recovery and refinement of underground reservoirs and large-scale chemical applications such as filters, catalysts, and adsorbents. Therefore, this study on a nanoliquid in a permeable channel is conducted under physical constraints. Purpose and Methodology: The key purpose of this research is to introduce a new biohybrid nanofluid model (BHNFM) with (Ag-G)_{hybridnanoparticles} with additional significant physical effects of quadratic radiation, resistive heating, and magnetic field. The flow configuration is set between the expanding/contracting channels, which has broad applications, especially in biomedical engineering. The modified BHNFM was achieved after the implementation of the bitransformative scheme, and then to obtain physical results of the model, the variational iteration method was applied. Core Findings: Based on a thorough observation of the presented results, it is determined that the biohybrid nanofluid (BHNF) is more effective than mono-nano BHNFs in controlling fluid movement. The desired fluid movement for practical purposes can be achieved by varying the wall contraction number (α₁ = -0.5, -1.0, -1.5, -2.0) and with stronger magnetic effects (M = 1.0,9.0,17.0,25.0). Furthermore, increasing the number of pores on the surface of the wall causes the BHNF particles to move very slowly. The temperature of the BHNF is affected by the quadratic radiation (R_d), heating source (Q₁), and temperature ratio number (θ_r), and this is a dependable approach to acquire a significant amount of heat. The findings of the current study can aid in a better understanding of parametric predictions in order to produce exceptional heat transfer in BHNFs and suitable parametric ranges to control fluid flow inside the working area. The model results would also be useful for individuals working in the fields of blood dynamics and biomedical engineering.
