Abstract
A 28-year-old female patient developed a 5.5 cm progressive thyroid nodule that was surgically removed due to local symptoms. Histologically, a solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) in a thyroid adenoma was diagnosed. The tumor had a specific NAB2-STAT6 fusion.Solitary fibrous tumors rarely occur in the thyroid gland and are described as both primary and secondary manifestations. The diagnosis, prognosis assessment and treatment decision are carried out analogously to SFT of other localizations.

Abstract
Solitary fibrous tumours (SFTs) are rare mesenchymal neoplasms composed of spindle cells, most often occurring in the pleura. SFTs arising from the prostate are exceptionally rare, with only around 40 cases reported in literature to date. We report a man in his 60s who was referred to our clinic for elevated prostate-specific antigen and presented with mild obstructive lower urinary tract and defecatory symptoms. Prostate needle-core biopsy revealed neoplastic spindle cells that strongly expressed CD34. Cross-sectional imaging demonstrated a 12 cm locally advanced heterogeneous prostate mass with intravesical extension and mass effect on the anterior rectum. Radical cystoprostatectomy with orthotopic neobladder reconstruction was performed, and the diagnosis of primary prostatic SFT was made based on histological characteristics and immunophenotyping. We present diagnostic, clinical management and prognostic considerations in patients with primary prostatic SFT.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The solitary fibrous tumor is a rare soft tissue mesenchymal tumor which typically arises from the pleura but may be found anywhere in the body. Abdominal localizations are very rare. The solitary fibrous tumor is classified into two forms, pleural and extrapleural, and morphologically they resemble each other. The diagnostics of the tumor is usually accidental because usually there are no clinical symptoms. The main treatment of the solitary fibrous tumor is the surgical removal of the tumor while radiotherapy treatment and chemotherapy outcomes remain unclear due to the rarity of the tumor and lack of data. CASE PRESENTATION We report the case of the 32-year-old man who was diagnosed with the solitary fibrous tumor of the peritoneal cavity. Laparotomy was performed. A grayish-white, stiff, coarse-grained tumor about 11 cm in diameter of the greater omentum was found and radical omentectomy with tumor removal were performed. Postoperative course was uneventful and the patient is well with no signs of recurrence on the CT scan of the chest and abdomen and MRI of the pelvis at 6 months after surgery. CONCLUSIONS The solitary fibrous tumor is a rare condition. It is a borderline-malignant tumor but may cause serious complications if not treated. Due to the absence of clinical symptoms, the tumor is usually detected accidentally. The radical surgical removal of the tumor is the most optimal treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a relatively rare type of mesenchymal neoplasm that occurs most frequently in the pleura. However, SFT originating from the prostate is particularly uncommon and only approximately 39 cases were reported before. Herein, we reported a rare case of a patient diagnosed with prostate SFT and presented a literature review.Case presentation: A 50-year-old Asian with irritative urinary symptoms was admitted to our hospital and almost all the evidence indicated that benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) caused his symptoms. Therefore, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) was performed, but histopathological and Immunohistochemical (IHC) assessments showed that spindle cells arranged disorderly in the TURP specimen with a cluster of differentiation 34 (CD34), B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2), and signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 (STAT6) highly expressed and SFT was diagnosed. Finally, the patient underwent a radical prostatectomy and there was no disease progression observed thereafter. CONCLUSIONS Prostate SFT is extremely rare, and to our knowledge, this is the first case of prostate SFT that is difficult to differentiate from small volume BPH. IHC examinations are of great diagnostic value. Radical resection of the tumor appears to be the most effective method at present and continuous follow-up is highly recommended.

Abstract
Background This study aimed to analyze the pathological characteristics and predictive factors of prostate biopsy in men with PSA levels below 4.0 ng/ml. Patients and methods We retrospectively analyzed 158 patients who underwent prostate biopsy with PSA levels below 4.0 ng/ml. Pathological results were statistically analyzed. The logistic regression analysis was used to determine the predictive factors for malignant outcomes. Subgroup analysis was performed on patients who received surgery and the postoperative pathological upgrading was counted. Results A total of 143 patients were enrolled. The tumor detection rate was 20.3%. Among these patients, most of them (79.3%) had prostate adenocarcinoma, but rare malignant tumors also accounted for 20.7%. Logistic regression analysis indicated that the only independent predictive factor for a positive prostate biopsy was the PI-RADS score. For prostate adenocarcinoma cases, 95.7% of them were organ localized and 47.8% of cases were clinically significant. Subgroup analysis was performed on 14 patients who received surgical treatment. 28.6% of patients were upgraded to clinically significant prostate cancer, while 64.3% of patients had an upgrade in tumor stage. Conclusion Our study indicated that 20.3% of men with PSA levels between 0 and 4.0 ng/ml were diagnosed with prostate malignancies. Among these patients, most of them (79.3%) were diagnosed with prostate adenocarcinoma, and several uncommon types of malignancies were also detected in 20.7% of patients. The only risk factor for a positive biopsy in patients with a low PSA concentration was the PI-RADS score. It should be emphasized that the invasiveness of PCa patients diagnosed by biopsy may be underestimated as more than half of patients will upgrade their Gleason score or clinical stages after surgery. Thus, clinicians should pay more attention to patients with PSA levels between 0 and 4.0 ng/ml.

Abstract
Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are composed of spindle cells and collagen fibers, and these form rare mesenchymal tumors. SFTs are most frequently observed in intrathoracic sites; however, they may also occur in extrathoracic sites, such as the liver. Unlike the hepatic SFTs (HSFTs) reported in the literature, the SFT detailed in the present case report was a large tumor that originated from the liver, with a dumbbell-shaped growth through the diaphragm into the right thoracic cavity. This posed substantial challenges in both diagnosis and treatment. Thus, the present report outlines the findings of a multidisciplinary team meeting that was used to discuss and develop an optimal and personalized treatment strategy for the patient. Transhepatic arterial embolization was performed to block the major arterial blood supply to the tumor in order to reduce its size. Subsequently, the tumor was fully resected, following the collaboration of the experienced hepatobiliary and thoracic surgeons. Following surgery, the abdominal distension experienced by the patient ceased, and no tumor recurrence was detected at the 1-year follow-up. In conclusion, due to limited previous reports of HSFT treatment using multidisciplinary collaboration, the present study outlined the treatment used for this specific tumor type, and the corresponding literature was reviewed.
