Predicting MBTI personality of YouTube users

For several decades, the standard method of measuring personality has been through self-report questionnaires. In this work, we apply a model based on the analysis of the words used by people. Using Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, we created a classifier that categorizes people into their Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality type based on text samples extracted from their social media comments. Then, we applied this classifier to determine the MBTI personality types of YouTube users who comment on videos related to conspiracy theories, spirituality, and travel. The results highlight that a sufficient estimate can be made with only 100 words per user, as long as all 100 words are related to the same topic. The most common MBTI type among YouTubers who comment on these types of videos is INFP, followed by INTP, INFJ, and INTJ, indicating a predominance of Introverted and Intuitive individuals. While the predominant personality type in YouTuber comments on videos related to conspiracy theories is INTP, in spiritual and travel topics, the most common personality type is INFP.

How good is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator for predicting leadership-related behaviors?

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a popular tool used by psychologists working as managers' coaches in organizational contexts. Despite its popularity, few studies provide empirical evidence on the role of the MBTI as a predictor of managers' leadership-related behaviors. This article is written based on research that answers the question of how good the MBTI is to prove leadership behavior. It does so by comparing goodness-of-fit indexes of two confirmatory factor analysis models and two structural models on the personality-leadership relationship, following standards of reproducible research principles. We sampled 529 participants who were graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in business administration programs from Colombian universities. Results show conclusive evidence of the psychometric measurement of both MBTI and leadership practices, even though the relationship between MBTI and the leadership practices inventory proved to be weak.

Relationship Building as a Strategy for Managing Referring Clinicians

The strength of a radiology practice depends on the strong relationships radiologists develop with referring clinicians. Solid relationships with referring clinicians can contribute to a satisfying work environment, and ultimately excellent patient care. There are several different ways that a radiologist can help improve relationships with clinicians. As a start, this includes a radiologist strengthening one's emotional intelligence. Also, identifying the personality traits of others is key to successful interactions. Conflicts in the workplace are inevitable, and effective negotiation is helpful in building relationships with clinicians. Interacting with the referring clinicians is also key to a successful relationship. This includes all in-person communication, participating in tumor boards, community outreach events, and social functions outside of work. This article presents several tips to improve and manage relationships with referring clinicians.

Relationship Between Personality Patterns and Harmfulness

This paper hypothesize that harmful utterances need to be judged in context of whole sentences, and extract features of harmful expressions using a general-purpose language model. Based on the extracted features, we propose a method to predict the presence or absence of harmful categories. In addition, the authors believe that it is possible to analyze users who incite others by combining this method with research on analyzing the personality of the speaker from statements on social networking sites. The results confirmed that the proposed method can judge the possibility of harmful comments with higher accuracy than simple dictionary-based models or models using a distributed representations of words. The relationship between personality patterns and harmful expressions was also confirmed by an analysis based on a harmful judgment model.
