Abstract
PRES and RCVS are increasingly recognized due to the wider use of brain MRI and increasing clinical awareness. Imaging plays a crucial role in confirming the diagnosis and guiding clinical management for PRES and RCVS. Imaging also has a pivotal role in determining the temporal progression of these entities, detecting complications, and predicting prognosis. In this review, we aim to describe PRES and RCVS, discuss their possible pathophysiological mechanisms, and discuss imaging methods that are useful in the diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients.

Abstract
The skull base provides a platform for supporting the brain while serving as a conduit for major neurovascular structures. In addition to malignant lesions originating in the skull base, there are many benign entities and developmental variants that may simulate disease. Therefore, a basic understanding of the relevant embryology is essential. Lesions centered in the skull base can extend to the adjacent intracranial and extracranial compartments; conversely, the skull base can be secondarily involved by primary extracranial and intracranial disease. CT and MRI are the mainstay imaging methods and are complementary in the evaluation of skull base lesions. Advances in cross-sectional imaging have been crucial in the management of patients with skull base pathology, as this represents a complex anatomical area that is hidden from direct clinical exam. Furthermore, the clinician must rely on imaging studies for therapy planning and to monitor treatment response. It is crucial to have a thorough understanding of skull base anatomy and its various pathologies, as well as to recognize the appearance of treatment-related changes. In this review, we aim to describe skull base tumors and tumor-like lesions in an anatomical compartmental approach and present imaging methods that aid in diagnosis, management, and follow-up.

Abstract
Neurolymphomatosis (NL) is a rarely seen neurologic involvement of the systematic lymphoma. Its diagnosis is challenging, and requires biopsy. In cases where biopsy is not appropriate, 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG-PET/CT) may aid in diagnosis. Here, we present a 54-year old male patient diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma who underwent FDG-PET/CT in order to evaluate the treatment response after chemotherapy and radiotherapy. On viewing PET/CT images of the patient who complained of pain and weakness in his upper extremities after therapy, linear FDG uptake was observed in bilateral cervical 5 (C5), left cervical 6 (C6), bilateral cervical 7 (C7), and right lumbar 4 (L4) nerve roots. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed dilation and thickening of nerve roots consisted with FDG uptake observed on PET/CT images. Since biopsy was not performed, histopathological diagnosis could not be established. However, overlapping of clinical, PET/CT, and MRI findings strongly suggested the presence of NL. As is the case of this patient, in cases with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a combined evaluation of FDG-PET/CT and MRI modalities aid in the establishment of the diagnosis of NL.

Abstract
Malformation of cortical development (MCD) is a term representing an inhomogeneous group of central nervous system abnormalities, referring particularly to embriyological aspect as a consequence of any of the three developmental stages, i.e., cell proliferation, cell migration and cortical organization. These include cotical dysgenesis, microcephaly, polymicrogyria, schizencephaly, lissencephaly, hemimegalencephaly, heterotopia and focal cortical dysplasia. Since magnetic resonance imaging is the modality of choice that best identifies the structural anomalies of the brain cortex, we aimed to provide a mini review of MCD by using 3T magnetic resonance scanner images.

Abstract
Several vascular abnormalities related with urinary system such as crossing accessory renal vessels, retroiliac ureters, retrocaval ureters, posterior nutcracker syndrome, and ovarian vein syndrome may be responsible for urinary collecting system obstruction. Split-bolus magnetic resonance urography (MRU) using contrast material as two separate bolus injections provides superior demonstration of the collecting system and obstructing vascular anomalies simultaneously and enables accurate preoperative radiologic diagnosis. In this pictorial review we aimed to outline the split-bolus MRU technique in children, list the coexisting congenital collecting system and vascular abnormalities, and exhibit the split-bolus MRU appearances of concurrent urinary collecting system and vascular abnormalities.

Abstract
Anomalous left coronary artery arising from the pulmonary artery (ALCAPA) is a rare but very serious congenital coronary artery anomaly. Multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) coronary angiography has recently become the gold standard for depicting anatomical variations and anomalies of the coronary arteries because the origin and course of anomalous arteries can be demonstrated very accurately by this technique. In this report, we present a case of 22-year-old female who was admitted to our emergency department with cardiac arrest. In the course of diagnosis, MDCT coronary angiography revealed a left coronary artery arising from the pulmonary artery as well as marked dilatation of the coronary arteries.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Our purpose is to report and review the results and early complications of subcutaneous infusion port placement by our interventional radiology department. MATERIALS AND METHODS Three-hundred twenty-five subcutaneous infusion ports were placed in 320 patients between January 2005 and May 2010. Ports were placed under both general and local anesthesia. Five patients were catheterized twice. The internal jugular veins were used for access. Both ultrasono-graphic and fluoroscopic guidance were used in our interventions. Retrospectively, we evaluated the ports' duration time. RESULTS Our technical success rate was 100% and only five complications occurred during port placement. The common carotid arteries were punctured in three patients but bleeding stopped ten minutes following withdrawal of the needle and artery compression. An air embolism occurred in two patients and both were successfully treated with good positioning and suctioning. Early catheter removal was required in five patients. One patient had a right internal jugular vein thrombosis, three patients had catheter occlusions and two patients had catheter fractures. The mean duration of catheter usage was 354 days (range: 2 to 1,478 days). CONCLUSION Image guided placement of infusion ports has a greater success rate and lower early complication rate when compared with the unguided series. The right internal jugular vein is the first choice for infusion port access.

Abstract
Pneumothorax (PTX) is rarely reported in patients receiving hyperbaric oxygen (HBO2) therapy. Patients with air-trapping lesions in the lungs and those with a history of spontaneous PTX, lung disease, mechanical ventilation or chest trauma are at an increased risk for PTX during HBO2 therapy. A 28-year-old male earthquake survivor was referred to our center for multiple wounds 21 days after being rescued from the debris. He had been intubated and put on mechanical ventilation for three days because of adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). At initial presentation, he was conscious, well-oriented and hemodynamically stable. The initial six HBO2 treatments were uneventful. On the seventh HBO2 treatment, the patient lost consciousness and developed cardiopulmonary arrest near the end of decompression. The HBO2 specialist accompanying the patient inside the chamber immediately initiated CPR. A diagnosis of tension PTX was made. After the patient was removed from the chamber, a chest tube was inserted, which improved the symptoms. Although rare, tension PTX can occur during HBO2 therapy. Early diagnosis and intervention are crucial for saving a patient's life. Increased vigilance is required during treatment of patients with risk factors for PTX.

Abstract
We read with great interest the recent article entitled “Hepatocellular carcinoma review: Current treatment, and evidence-based medicine” by Raza et al, published in World Journal of Gastroenterology. Authors evaluated treatments for early and advanced stage hepatocellular carcinoma based on an extensive review of the relevant literature. They reported that radiofrequency ablation is the most effective local ablative therapy. They concluded that RF ablation is equivalent to surgical resection in well selected patients with early stage hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, we want to mention microwave ablation besides RF ablation.

Abstract
The aims of this study were to evaluate volumetric changes in the nasal cavity (NC) and pharyngeal airway space (PAS) after Le Fort I maxillary distraction osteogenesis (MDO) using a three-dimensional (3D) simulation program, and to determine the effects of MDO on respiratory function during sleep with polysomnography (PSG). 3D computed tomography images were obtained and analyzed before surgery (T0) and at a mean 8.2 ± 1.2 months postsurgery (T1) (SimPlant-OMS software) for 11 male patients (mean age 25.3 ± 5.9 years) with severe skeletal class III anomalies related to maxillary retrognathia. The simulation of osteotomies and placement of distractors were performed on stereolithographic 3D models. NC and PAS were segmented separately on these models for comparison of changes between T0 and T1. PSG including the apnoea-hypopnoea index (AHI), sleep efficiency, sleep stages (weakness, stages 1-4, and rapid eye movement (REM)), and mean lowest arterial O2 saturation were obtained at T0 and T1 to investigate changes in respiratory function during sleep. MDO was successful in all cases as planned on the models; the average forward movement at A point was 10.2mm. Increases in NC and PAS volume after MDO were statistically significant. These increases resulted in significant improvement in sleep quality. PSG parameters changed after MDO; AHI and sleep stages weakness, 1, and 2 decreased, whereas REM, stages 3 and 4, sleep efficiency, and mean O2 saturation increased.

Abstract
Brain herniations into dural venous sinuses (DVS) are rare findings recently described and their etiology and clinical significance are controversial. We describe five patients with brain herniations into the DVS or calvarium identified on MRI, and discuss their imaging findings, possible causes, and relationship to the patient's symptoms. All patients were examined with MRI including high resolution pre- and post-contrast T1- and T2-weighted sequences. With respect to brain herniations we documented their locations, signal intensities in different sequences, and size. We then reviewed clinical records in an attempt to establish if any symptoms were related to the presence of these herniations. Three males and two females were examined (age range, 11-68 years). Three patients had unilateral temporal lobe herniations into transverse sinuses, one had a cerebellar herniation into the skull, and one had bilateral temporal lobe herniations into the transverse sinuses as well as a cerebellar herniation into the sigmoid sinus. In all, the herniated brain and surrounding cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) had normal signal intensity on all MRI sequences. When correlated with clinical symptoms, brain herniations were thought to be incidental and asymptomatic in three patients and two patients had histories of headaches. Brain herniations with surrounding CSF into the DVS/skull should be considered potential sources of filling defects in the DVS. We believe that they are probably incidental findings that may be more common than previously recognized and should be not confused with the more common arachnoid granulations, clots, or tumors. Two patients had headaches, but their relation to the presence of herniated brain was uncertain.

Abstract
Although Bochdalek hernia is the most common congenital diaphragmatic hernia in adults, bilateral occurrence is rare. To the best of our knowledge, only case reports on Bochdalek hernia and its associated pathologies have been previously published. Herein, we present the case of a 27-year-old man with bilateral Bochdalek hernias, which were detected incidentally. The bilateral Bochdalek hernias were found to be associated with severe aortic tortuosity and aberrant right subclavian artery.

Abstract
We describe a patient with Burkitt lymphoma who developed carotidynia. MRI showed thickening of the walls of both common carotid arteries and PET CT showed increased radiotracer uptake in the same regions. MRI was essential in establishing the diagnosis of this rare clinical presentation.

Diagnostic accuracy of whole-body diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging with 3.0 T in detection of primary and metastatic neoplasms. J Med Imaging Radiat Oncol 2013; 57:274-82. Abstract
INTRODUCTION To discuss the accuracy of the whole-body diffusion-weighted imaging with background body signal suppression (WB-DWIBS) technique performed in the 3.0-T system. METHODS We studied 17 patients who underwent positron emission tomography (PET)/CT and WB-DWIBS examinations for staging their diseases. The DWIBS pulse and echo-planar imaging-short T1 inversion recovery single-shot pulse sequences were performed for WB-DWIBS. A PET/CT scan was performed with 18-fluorodeoxyglucose. The lesions were localised and counted in both of the examinations, and WB-DWIBS was evaluated for the neoplastic tissue detection rate, while PET/CT was accepted as the reference standard modality. RESULTS The WB-DWIBS scan had a room occupation time of 32-35 min. All of the metastasis positive patients (n = 12) detected with PET/CT were also detected with WB-DWIBS (100%). In our patient group, there were a total of 109 bone metastases on PET/CT scans, and 93 of them (85.3%) were demonstrated with WB-DWIBS. We detected 128 metastatic lymph nodes on PET/CT, and 123 of them (96.3%) were demonstrated with WB-DWIBS. There were a total of 17 liver metastases on PET/CT, and 15 of them (88.2%) were detected with WB-DWIBS. There was no statistically significant difference between the two imaging modalities in detecting bone, lymph node and liver metastases (P > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS WB-DWIBS is a non-invasive technique that may successfully detect the spreading of the tumoural tissue in cancer patients when compared with PET/CT.
