Determination of Spin-Parity Quantum Numbers of X(2370) as 0^{-+} from J/ψ→γK_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}η^{'}

Based on (10087±44)×10^{6}  J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of the decay J/ψ→γK_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}η^{'} is performed. The mass and width of the X(2370) are measured to be 2395±11(stat)_{-94}^{+26}(syst)  MeV/c^{2} and 188_{-17}^{+18}(stat)_{-33}^{+124}(syst)  MeV, respectively. The corresponding product branching fraction is B[J/ψ→γX(2370)]×B[X(2370)→f_{0}(980)η^{'}]×B[f_{0}(980)→K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}]=(1.31±0.22(stat)_{-0.84}^{+2.85}(syst))×10^{-5}. The statistical significance of the X(2370) is greater than 11.7σ and the spin parity is determined to be 0^{-+} for the first time. The measured mass and spin parity of the X(2370) are consistent with the predictions of the lightest pseudoscalar glueball.

Observation of Structures in the Processes e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c1} and ωχ_{c2}

We present measurements of the Born cross sections for the processes e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c1} and ωχ_{c2} at center-of-mass energies sqrt[s] from 4.308 to 4.951 GeV. The measurements are performed with data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 11.0  fb^{-1} collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider storage ring. Assuming the e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c2} signals come from a single resonance, the mass and width are determined to be M=(4413.6±9.0±0.8)  MeV/c^{2} and Γ=(110.5±15.0±2.9)  MeV, respectively, which is consistent with the parameters of the well-established resonance ψ(4415). In addition, we also use one single resonance to describe the e^{+}e^{-}→ωχ_{c1} line shape and determine the mass and width to be M=(4544.2±18.7±1.7)  MeV/c^{2} and Γ=(116.1±33.5±1.7)  MeV, respectively. The structure of this line shape, observed for the first time, requires further understanding.

Coupled-Channel Analysis of the χ_{c1}(3872) Line Shape with BESIII Data

We perform a study of the χ_{c1}(3872) line shape using the data samples of e^{+}e^{-}→γχ_{c1}(3872), χ_{c1}(3872)→D^{0}D[over ¯]^{0}π^{0}, and π^{+}π^{-}J/ψ collected with the BESIII detector. The effects of the coupled channels and the off-shell D^{*0} are included in the parametrization of the line shape. The line shape mass parameter is obtained to be M_{X}=(3871.63±0.13_{-0.05}^{+0.06})  MeV. Two poles are found on the first and second Riemann sheets corresponding to the D^{*0}D[over ¯]^{0} branch cut. The pole location on the first sheet is much closer to the D^{*0}D[over ¯]^{0} threshold than the other, and is determined to be 7.04±0.15_{-0.08}^{+0.07}  MeV above the D^{0}D[over ¯]^{0}π^{0} threshold with an imaginary part -0.19±0.08_{-0.19}^{+0.14}  MeV.

Observation of the Anomalous Shape of X(1840) in J/ψ→γ3(π^{+}π^{-}) Indicating a Second Resonance Near pp[over ¯] Threshold

Using a sample of (10087±44)×10^{6}  J/ψ events, which is about 45 times larger than that was previously analyzed, a further investigation on the J/ψ→γ3(π^{+}π^{-}) decay is performed. A significant distortion at 1.84  GeV/c^{2} in the line shape of the 3(π^{+}π^{-}) invariant mass spectrum is observed for the first time, which could be resolved by two overlapping resonant structures, X(1840) and X(1880). The new state X(1880) is observed with a statistical significance larger than 10σ. The mass and width of X(1880) are determined to be 1882.1±1.7±0.7  MeV/c^{2} and 30.7±5.5±2.4  MeV, respectively, which indicates the existence of a pp[over ¯] bound state.

Study of the f_{0}(980) and f_{0}(500) Scalar Mesons through the Decay D_{s}^{+}→π^{+}π^{-}e^{+}ν_{e}

Using e^{+}e^{-} collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.33  fb^{-1} recorded by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV, we present an analysis of the decay D_{s}^{+}→π^{+}π^{-}e^{+}ν_{e}, where the D_{s}^{+} is produced via the process e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{*±}D_{s}^{∓}. We observe the f_{0}(980) in the π^{+}π^{-} system and the branching fraction of the decay D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(980)e^{+}ν_{e} with f_{0}(980)→π^{+}π^{-} measured to be (1.72±0.13_{stat}±0.10_{syst})×10^{-3}, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The dynamics of the D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(980)e^{+}ν_{e} decay are studied with the simple pole parametrization of the hadronic form factor and the Flatté formula describing the f_{0}(980) in the differential decay rate, and the product of the form factor f_{+}^{f_{0}}(0) and the c→s Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |V_{cs}| is determined for the first time to be f_{+}^{f_{0}}(0)|V_{cs}|=0.504±0.017_{stat}±0.035_{syst}. Furthermore, the decay D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(500)e^{+}ν_{e} is searched for the first time but no signal is found. The upper limit on the branching fraction of D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(500)e^{+}ν_{e}, f_{0}(500)→π^{+}π^{-} decay is set to be 3.3×10^{-4} at 90% confidence level.

Observation of D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}a_{0}(980)^{+} in the Amplitude Analysis of D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}π^{+}η

We perform for the first time an amplitude analysis of the decay D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}π^{+}η and report the observation of the decay D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}a_{0}(980)^{+} using 2.93  fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data taken at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector. As the only W-annihilation-free decay among D to a_{0}(980) pseudoscalar, D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}a_{0}(980)^{+} is the ideal decay in extracting the contributions of the W-emission amplitudes involving a_{0}(980) and to study the final-state interactions. The absolute branching fraction of D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}π^{+}η is measured to be (1.27±0.04_{stat}±0.03_{syst})%. The branching fractions of intermediate processes D^{+}→K_{S}^{0}a_{0}(980)^{+} with a_{0}(980)^{+}→π^{+}η and D^{+}→π^{+}K[over ¯]_{0}^{*}(1430)^{0} with K[over ¯]_{0}^{*}(1430)^{0}→K_{S}^{0}η are measured to be (1.33±0.05_{stat}±0.04_{syst})% and (0.14±0.03_{stat}±0.01_{syst})%, respectively.

Observation of Significant Flavor-SU(3) Breaking in the Kaon Wave Function at 12<Q^{2}<25 GeV^{2} and Discovery of the Charmless Decay ψ(3770)→K_{S}^{0}K_{L}^{0}

We present cross sections for the reaction e^{+}e^{-}→K_{S}^{0}K_{L}^{0} at center-of-mass energies ranging from 3.51 to 4.95 GeV using data samples collected in the BESIII experiment, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 26.5  fb^{-1}. Investigation of the ΔI=1/2 Rule and Test of CP Symmetry through the Measurement of Decay Asymmetry Parameters in Ξ^{-} Decays

Using (10087±44)×10^{6}  J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, numerous Ξ^{-} and Λ decay asymmetry parameters are simultaneously determined from the process J/ψ→Ξ^{-}Ξ[over ¯]^{+}→Λ(pπ^{-})π^{-}Λ[over ¯](n[over ¯]π^{0})π^{+} and its charge-conjugate channel. The precisions of α_{Λ0} for Λ→nπ^{0} and α[over ¯]_{Λ0} for Λ[over ¯]→n[over ¯]π^{0} compared to world averages are improved by factors of 4 and 1.7, respectively. The ratio of decay asymmetry parameters of Λ→nπ^{0} to that of Λ→pπ^{-}, ⟨α_{Λ0}⟩/⟨α_{Λ-}⟩, is determined to be 0.873±0.012_{-0.010}^{+0.011}, where the first and the second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The ratio is smaller than unity more than 5σ, which signifies the existence of the ΔI=3/2 transition in Λ for the first time. Besides, we test for CP symmetry in Ξ^{-}→Λπ^{-} and in Λ→nπ^{0} with the best precision to date.

Observation of D_{s}^{+}→η^{'}μ^{+}ν_{μ}, Precision Test of Lepton Flavor Universality with D_{s}^{+}→η^{(')}l^{+}ν_{l}, and First Measurements of D_{s}^{+}→η^{(')}μ^{+}ν_{μ} Decay Dynamics

By analyzing 7.33  fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the observation of the semileptonic decay D_{s}^{+}→η^{'}μ^{+}ν_{μ}, with a statistical significance larger than 10σ, and the measurements of the D_{s}^{+}→ημ^{+}ν_{μ} and D_{s}^{+}→η^{'}μ^{+}ν_{μ} decay dynamics for the first time. The branching fractions of D_{s}^{+}→ημ^{+}ν_{μ} and D_{s}^{+}→η^{'}μ^{+}ν_{μ} are determined to be (2.235±0.051_{stat}±0.052_{syst})% and (0.801±0.055_{stat}±0.028_{syst})%, respectively, with precision improved by factors of 6.0 and 6.6 compared to the previous best measurements. Combined with the results for the decays D_{s}^{+}→ηe^{+}ν_{e} and D_{s}^{+}→η^{'}e^{+}ν_{e}, the ratios of the decay widths are examined both inclusively and in several ℓ^{+}ν_{ℓ} four-momentum transfer ranges. No evidence for lepton flavor universality violation is found within the current statistics. The products of the hadronic form factors f_{+,0}^{η^{(')}}(0) and the c→s Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |V_{cs}| are determined. The results based on the two-parameter series expansion are f_{+,0}^{η}(0)|V_{cs}|=0.452±0.010_{stat}±0.007_{syst} and f_{+,0}^{η^{'}}(0)|V_{cs}|=0.504±0.037_{stat}±0.012_{syst}, which help to constrain present models on f_{+,0}^{η^{(')}}(0). The forward-backward asymmetries are determined to be ⟨A_{FB}^{η}⟩=-0.059±0.031_{stat}±0.005_{syst} and ⟨A_{FB}^{η^{'}}⟩=-0.064±0.079_{stat}±0.006_{syst} for the first time, which are consistent with the theoretical calculation.

Determination of the Σ^{+} Timelike Electromagnetic Form Factors

Based on data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the process e^{+}e^{-}→Σ^{+}Σ[over ¯]^{-} is studied at center-of-mass energies sqrt[s]=2.3960, 2.6454, and 2.9000 GeV. Using a fully differential angular description of the final state particles, both the relative magnitude and phase information of the Σ^{+} electromagnetic form factors in the timelike region are extracted. The relative phase between the electric and magnetic form factors is determined to be sinΔΦ=-0.67±0.29(stat)±0.18(syst) at sqrt[s]=2.3960  GeV, ΔΦ=55°±19°(stat)±14°(syst) at sqrt[s]=2.6454  GeV, and 78°±22°(stat)±9°(syst) at sqrt[s]=2.9000  GeV. For the first time, the phase of the hyperon electromagnetic form factors is explored in a wide range of four-momentum transfer. The evolution of the phase along with four-momentum transfer is an important input for understanding its asymptotic behavior and the dynamics of baryons.

[High-risk sexual behaviors of HIV/AIDS and related factors in young students in Guangzhou]

Objective: To explore high-risk sexual behaviors of HIV/AIDS and related factors in young students in Guangzhou. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 5 different types of Guangzhou colleges by convenience sampling with minimum number of classes per grade and 600 samples per school from September to November 2021. The R 4.2.2 software was used to consolidate databases. Simultaneously, a logistic regression model and a decision tree algorithm model, stratifying by whether sexual behaviors had occurred before, were constructed. In each layer, the prediction performance of the two models was evaluated through area under receiver operating characteristic and the confusion matrix, and then the model with high prediction performance was retained. Results: A total of 7 346 students were surveyed. The proportion of the respondents reporting sexual experience were 9.08% (667/7 346), in whom 26.24% (175/667) had risky sexual activity in the past year. The decision tree algorithm model performs well in predicting whether high-risk sexual behaviors have occurred in the past year. When the complexity parameter value is 0.018, and nsplit reaches 4, which means there are 5 leaf nodes in the model, the cross error of the tree will be the smallest. The first best grouping variable in the decision tree was whether to use condoms throughout the first sexual behavior. If condoms were used at their sexual debut, but homosexual practices have occurred in the past year, the probability of risky sexual behavior will increase. If homosexual practices have not occurred in the past year, but the age of sexual debut was below 18 years old while the period of HIV education was after high school, the probability of risk sexual behavior will also increase. Conclusions: AIDS-related risky behaviors of young students still deserved attention. The experience of sexual debut and whether AIDS-related health education has been received before the sexual debut were significant predictors for the occurrence of high-risk sexual behavior. The decision tree algorithm model has particular applicability for predicting and screening potential risk populations.

First Measurement of the Decay Asymmetry in the Pure W-Boson-Exchange Decay Λ_{c}^{+}→Ξ^{0}K^{+}

Based on 4.4  fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data collected at the center-of-mass energies between 4.60 and 4.70 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the pure W-boson-exchange decay Λ_{c}^{+}→Ξ^{0}K^{+} is studied with a full angular analysis. The corresponding decay asymmetry is measured for the first time to be α_{Ξ^{0}K^{+}}=0.01±0.16(stat)±0.03(syst). This result reflects the noninterference effect between the S- and P-wave amplitudes. The phase shift between S- and P-wave amplitudes has two solutions, which are δ_{p}-δ_{s}=-1.55±0.25(stat)±0.05(syst)  rad or 1.59±0.25(stat)±0.05(syst)  rad.

[Perception of HIV-related behavior and influencing factors among young students in Guangzhou]

Objective: To investigate the risk perception for risky behavior of HIV/AIDS infection among young students and to analyze the related influencing factors. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 5 different types of Guangzhou colleges from September to November 2021, in which convenience sampling and a minimum number of classes per grade and 600 samples per school were used according to the national unity program. Disordered multi-classification logistic regression was used to construct a risk perception model and analyze influencing factors in different risk perception levels. Results: A total of 7 346 young students were surveyed, and most rated themselves at low risk of HIV/AIDS infections (90.58%, 6 654/7 346). A total of 89.10% (6 545/7 346) of subjects' perception of their HIV/AIDS infection risk was consistent with their risk behavior, while 10.90% (801/7 346) was inconsistent. Among those inconsistent subjects, 19.10% (153/801) showed underestimating their risk , while 80.90% (648/801) seen overestimating their risk. Disordered multi-classification logistic regression analysis showed that, after controlling for other factors, compared with the non-sexual group, respondents whose first sex age under 18 had a higher rate of underestimating their risk of infection (OR=129.39, 95%CI: 73.28-228.48), as well as a higher rate of overestimated their risk of infection (OR=1.76, 95%CI: 1.04-2.99). First sexual intercourse at age 18 or older was a risk factor for underestimating risk (OR=70.56, 95%CI: 42.72-116.53), but was not statistically associated with overestimating risk. Being female, other school type, non-heterosexual orientation, and self-rated HIV-related knowledge as fair or no knowledge were risk factors for overestimating risk but were not statistically associated with underestimating risk. Conclusions: Overall, young students in universities of Guangzhou have a good risk perception of HIV/AIDS infection. Individual factors, education factors and sexual experience will influence students' risk perception of HIV/AIDS infection. Raising the awareness rate of HIV/AIDS knowledge and delaying the age of first sexual intercourse will improve the risk perception ability of young students.

Test of CP Symmetry in Hyperon to Neutron Decays

The quantum entangled J/ψ→Σ^{+}Σ[over ¯]^{-} pairs from (1.0087±0.0044)×10^{10}  J/ψ events taken by the BESIII detector are used to study the nonleptonic two-body weak decays Σ^{+}→nπ^{+} and Σ[over ¯]^{-}→n[over ¯]π^{-}. The CP-odd weak decay parameters of the decays Σ^{+}→nπ^{+} (α_{+}) and Σ[over ¯]^{-}→n[over ¯]π^{-} (α[over ¯]_{-}) are determined to be 0.0481±0.0031_{stat}±0.0019_{syst} and -0.0565±0.0047_{stat}±0.0022_{syst}, respectively. The decay parameter α[over ¯]_{-} is measured for the first time, and the accuracy of α_{+} is improved by a factor of 4 compared to the previous results. The simultaneously determined decay parameters allow the first precision CP symmetry test for any hyperon decay with a neutron in the final state with the measurement of A_{CP}=(α_{+}+α[over ¯]_{-})/(α_{+}-α[over ¯]_{-})=-0.080±0.052_{stat}±0.028_{syst}. Assuming CP conservation, the average decay parameter is determined as ⟨α_{+}⟩=(α_{+}-α[over ¯]_{-})/2=-0.0506±0.0026_{stat}±0.0019_{syst}, while the ratios α_{+}/α_{0} and α[over ¯]_{-}/α[over ¯]_{0} are -0.0490±0.0032_{stat}±0.0021_{syst} and -0.0571±0.0053_{stat}±0.0032_{syst}, where α_{0} and α[over ¯]_{0} are the decay parameters of the decays Σ^{+}→pπ^{0} and Σ[over ¯]^{-}→p[over ¯]π^{0}, respectively.

Measurement of Energy-Dependent Pair-Production Cross Section and Electromagnetic Form Factors of a Charmed Baryon

We study the process e^{+}e^{-}→Λ_{c}^{+}Λ[over ¯]_{c}^{-} at twelve center-of-mass energies from 4.6119 to 4.9509 GeV using data samples collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The Born cross sections and effective form factors (|G_{eff}|) are determined with unprecedented precision after combining the single and double-tag methods based on the decay process Λ_{c}^{+}→pK^{-}π^{+}. Flat cross sections around 4.63 GeV are obtained and no indication of the resonant structure Y(4630), as reported by Belle, is found. In addition, no oscillatory behavior is discerned in the |G_{eff}| energy dependence of Λ_{c}^{+}, in contrast to what is seen for the proton and neutron cases. Analyzing the cross section together with the polar-angle distribution of the Λ_{c}^{+} baryon at each energy point, the moduli of electric and magnetic form factors (|G_{E}| and |G_{M}|) are extracted and separated. For the first time, the energy dependence of the form factor ratio |G_{E}/G_{M}| is observed, which can be well described by an oscillatory function.

Determination of Spin-Parity Quantum Numbers for the Narrow Structure near the pΛ[over ¯] Threshold in e^{+}e^{-}→pK^{-}Λ[over ¯]+c.c

A narrow structure in the pΛ[over ¯] system near the mass threshold, named as X(2085), is observed in the process e^{+}e^{-}→pK^{-}Λ[over ¯] with a statistical significance greater than 20σ. Its spin and parity are determined for the first time to be J^{P}=1^{+} in an amplitude analysis, with a statistical significance greater than 5σ over other quantum numbers (0^{-},1^{-} and 2^{+}). The pole positions of X(2085) are measured to be M_{pole}=(2084_{-2}^{+4}±9)  MeV and Γ_{pole}=(58_{-3}^{+4}±25)  MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. The analysis is based on the study of the process e^{+}e^{-}→pK^{-}Λ[over ¯] and uses the data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energies sqrt[s]=4.008, 4.178, 4.226, 4.258, 4.416, and 4.682 GeV with a total integrated luminosity of 8.35  fb^{-1}.

Precise Measurement of the e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{*+}D_{s}^{*-} Cross Sections at Center-of-Mass Energies from Threshold to 4.95 GeV

The process e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{*+}D_{s}^{*-} is studied with a semi-inclusive method using data samples at center-of-mass energies from threshold to 4.95 GeV collected with the BESIII detector operating at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider. The Born cross sections of the process are measured for the first time with high precision in this energy region. Two resonance structures are observed in the energy-dependent cross sections around 4.2 and 4.4 GeV. By fitting the cross sections with a coherent sum of three Breit-Wigner amplitudes and one phase-space amplitude, the two significant structures are assigned masses of (4186.8±8.7±30) and (4414.6±3.4±6.1)  MeV/c^{2}, widths of (55±15±53) and (122.5±7.5±8.1)  MeV, where the first errors are statistical and the second ones are systematic. The inclusion of a third Breit-Wigner amplitude is necessary to describe a structure around 4.79 GeV.

First Experimental Study of the Purely Leptonic Decay D_{s}^{*+}→e^{+}ν_{e}

Using 7.33  fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data taken with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we report the first experimental study of the purely leptonic decay D_{s}^{*+}→e^{+}ν_{e}. Our data contain a signal of this decay with a statistical significance of 2.9σ. The branching fraction of D_{s}^{*+}→e^{+}ν_{e} is measured to be (2.1_{-0.9_{stat}}^{+1.2}±0.2_{syst})×10^{-5}, corresponding to an upper limit of 4.0×10^{-5} at the 90% confidence level. Taking the total width of the D_{s}^{*+} [(0.070±0.028)  keV] predicted with the radiative D_{s}^{*+} decay from the lattice QCD calculation as input, the decay constant of the D_{s}^{*+} is determined to be f_{D_{s}^{*+}}=(214_{-46_{stat}}^{+61}±44_{syst})  MeV, corresponding to an upper limit of 354 MeV at the 90% confidence level.

[Molecular epidemiological study on rubella virus circulating in Yunnan Province during 2011-2021]

Objective: To understand the genotype distribution and transmission pattern of rubella virus (RuV) circulating in Yunnan Province. Methods: Throat swab samples were collected from rubella outbreaks and sporadic cases in nine prefectures/cities of Yunnan Province from 2011 to 2021. Virus isolation, amplification of target genes and sequence determination were performed on the RuV-positive samples. The genotypes and lineages of Yunnan strains were determined by comparing them with the reference strains, and further phylogenetic analysis was performed with Yunnan strains and strains circulating in other provinces of China during the same period. Results: RuV circulating in Yunnan province during 2011-2021 showed significant genetic diversity, and three lineages, 1E-L1, 2B-L1 and 1E-L2, were detected. Two lineage-switches were also identified, including the conversion of 1E-L1 to 2B-L1 between 2012 and 2013, and the replacement of 2B-L1 to 1E-L2 after 2018. The time of the switches was basically consistent with the outbreak in Yunnan province in 2012 and the time of the rubella reemergence and epidemic between 2018 and 2019. The amino acid sequence of RuV virus strains in Yunnan province was highly conserved, and no important functional regions were changed. Conclusions: The transmission pattern of RuV in Yunnan province is generally consistent with the epidemic trend of RuV in other provinces of China.

First Study of Reaction Ξ^{0}n→Ξ^{-}p Using Ξ^{0}-Nucleus Scattering at an Electron-Positron Collider

Using (1.0087±0.0044)×10^{10}  J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring, the process Ξ^{0}n→Ξ^{-}p is studied, where the Ξ^{0} baryon is produced in the process J/ψ→Ξ^{0}Ξ[over ¯]^{0} and the neutron is a component of the ^{9}Be, ^{12}C, and ^{197}Au nuclei in the beam pipe. A clear signal is observed with a statistical significance of 7.1σ. The cross section of the reaction Ξ^{0}+^{9}Be→Ξ^{-}+p+^{8}Be is determined to be σ(Ξ^{0}+^{9}Be→Ξ^{-}+p+^{8}Be)=(22.1±5.3_{stat}±4.5_{sys})  mb at the Ξ^{0} momentum of 0.818  GeV/c, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. No significant H-dibaryon signal is observed in the Ξ^{-}p final state. This is the first study of hyperon-nucleon interactions in electron-positron collisions and opens up a new direction for such research.

Precision Measurement of the Decay Σ^{+}→pγ in the Process J/ψ→Σ^{+}Σ[over ¯]^{-}

Using (10 087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, the radiative hyperon decay Σ^{+}→pγ is studied at an electron-positron collider experiment for the first time. The absolute branching fraction is measured to be (0.996±0.021_{stat}±0.018_{syst})×10^{-3}, which is lower than its world average value by 4.2 standard deviations. Its decay asymmetry parameter is determined to be -0.652±0.056_{stat}±0.020_{syst}. The branching fraction and decay asymmetry parameter are the most precise to date, and the accuracies are improved by 78% and 34%, respectively.

Measurements of the Electric and Magnetic Form Factors of the Neutron for Timelike Momentum Transfer

We present the first measurements of the electric and magnetic form factors of the neutron in the timelike (positive q^{2}) region as function of four-momentum transfer. We explored the differential cross sections of the reaction e^{+}e^{-}→n[over ¯]n with data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII accelerator, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 354.6  pb^{-1} in total at twelve center-of-mass energies between sqrt[s]=2.0-2.95  GeV. A relative uncertainty of 18% and 12% for the electric and magnetic form factors, respectively, is achieved at sqrt[s]=2.3935  GeV. Our results are comparable in accuracy to those from electron scattering in the comparable spacelike region of four-momentum transfer. The electromagnetic form factor ratio R_{em}≡|G_{E}|/|G_{M}| is within the uncertainties close to unity. We compare our result on |G_{E}| and |G_{M}| to recent model predictions, and the measurements in the spacelike region to test the analyticity of electromagnetic form factors.

[Study on the time-point distribution characteristics of the occurrence of laryngopharyngeal reflux]

Objective: To investigate the characteristics of the time-point distribution of the occurrence of laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) by 24-hour multichannel intraluminal impedance-pH monitoring (24 h MII-pH) and to provide guidance for the development of individualized anti-reflux strategies for LPR patients. Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 24 h MII-pH data from 408 patients [339 males and 69 females, aged 23-84 (55.08±11.08) years] attending the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the Sixth Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital from January 2013 to March 2020. The number of gas acid/weak-acid reflux, mixed gas-liquid acid/weak-acid reflux, liquid acid/weak-acid reflux and alkaline reflux events at different time points were recorded and statistically analyzed through SPSS 26.0 software. Results: A total of 408 patients were included. Based on the 24 h MII-pH, the total positive rate of LPR was 77.45% (316/408). The type of positive gaseous weak-acid reflux was significantly higher than the remaining types of LPR (χ²=297.12,P<0.001). Except the gaseous weak-acid reflux, the occurrence of the remaining types of LPR showed a tendency to increase after meals, especially after dinner. Liquid acid reflux events occurred mainly between after dinner and the following morning, and 47.11% (57/121) of them occurred within 3 h after dinner. There was a significant positive association between Reflux Symptom Index scores and gaseous weak-acid reflux(r=0.127,P<0.01), liquid acid reflux(r=0.205,P<0.01) and liquid weak-acid reflux(r=0.103,P<0.05)events. Conclusions: With the exception of gaseous weak-acid reflux events, the occurrence of the remaining types of LPR events has a tendency to increase after meals, especially after dinner. Gaseous weak-acid reflux events accounts for the largest proportion of all types of LPR events, but the pathogenic mechanisms of gaseous weak-acid reflux are needed to further investigate.

Observation of Three Charmoniumlike States with J^{PC}=1^{--} in e^{+}e^{-}→D^{*0}D^{*-}π^{+}

The Born cross sections of the process e^{+}e^{-}→D^{*0}D^{*-}π^{+} at center-of-mass energies from 4.189 to 4.951 GeV are measured for the first time. The data samples used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 17.9  fb^{-1} and were collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. Three enhancements around 4.20, 4.47, and 4.67 GeV are visible. The resonances have masses of 4209.6±4.7±5.9  MeV/c^{2}, 4469.1±26.2±3.6  MeV/c^{2}, and 4675.3±29.5±3.5  MeV/c^{2} and widths of 81.6±17.8±9.0  MeV, 246.3±36.7±9.4  MeV, and 218.3±72.9±9.3  MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The first and third resonances are consistent with the ψ(4230) and ψ(4660) states, respectively, while the second one is compatible with the ψ(4500) observed in the e^{+}e^{-}→K^{+}K^{-}J/ψ process. These three charmoniumlike ψ states are observed in the e^{+}e^{-}→D^{*0}D^{*-}π^{+} process for the first time.

[Mid-term outcome of deep layer repair with the long head of the biceps autograft bridging for Kim classification type Ⅰ A delaminiated rotator cuff tear]

Objective: To investigate the mid-term clinical outcome of deep layer repair with the long head of the biceps autograft bridging for Kim classification type ⅠA delaminated rotator cuff tear. Methods: A follow-up study. The clinical data of 42 consecutive patients with Kim classification type ⅠA delaminated rotator cuff tear admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University from January 2018 to June 2019 were retrospectively included. All patients underwent shoulder arthroscopic surgery. During the operation, the autogenous long head of the biceps tendon was transferred to repair the deep layer of delaminated rotator cuff tear. The preoperative and postoperative (last follow-up) visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) score, Constant-Murley shoulder score, range of motion (ROM) of the shoulder and radiographic results were statistically analyzed. Results: A total of 42 patients were included in this study. There were 18 males and 24 females, with an average age of (64.5±15.2) years and a mean follow-up of (43.9±7.1) months. At the last follow-up, ROM of abduction increased from 80.8°±26.5° to 154.2°±14.3°, and ROM of external rotation increased from 18.2°±13.6° to 31.8°±7.8°; the VAS score of pain decreased from (5.5±1.3) points to (0.7±0.7) points, the UCLA score increased from (21.3±3.7) points to (29.9±2.1) points, and the Constant-Murley score increased from (45.4±10.0) points to (87.2±4.8) points; the differences were all statistically significant (all P<0.001). The X-ray films showed that there were no upward of the humeral head in all the patients. MRI results indicated that rotator cuff re-teared in one case (Sugaya classification type Ⅲ), and healed in other cases (Sugaya classification type Ⅰ-Ⅱ). No complications such as upper limb nerve injury was found in all cases. Conclusion: Deep layer repair with the long head of the biceps autograft bridging can significantly alleviate the pain and improve the function of patients with Kim classification type ⅠA delaminated rotator cuff tear, and the incidence of retear is low.

[Effect of gastroesophageal reflux disease on the clinical characteristics of patients with laryngopharyngeal reflux disease]

Objective: To investigate the effect of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) on the clinical characteristics of patients with laryngopharyngeal reflux disease(LPRD). Methods: The data of 141 patients with symptoms of LPRD, who were admitted to the Department of Pharyngology, Laryngology& Phonosurgery at the Sixth Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital from November 2020 to October 2021, were retrospectively analyzed.There were 118 males and 23 females, aged 28-75 (56.72±10.04) years old. The included patients underwent simultaneous 24-hour hypopharyngeal and esophageal multichannel intraluminal impedance pH monitoring (24h-HEMII-pH), salivary pepsin test at multiple times, Reflux Symptom Index (RSI), and Reflux Finding Score (RFS). One laryngopharyngeal reflux event on 24 h-HEMII-pH monitoring results was used as a diagnostic criterion for LPRD. And the duration of lower esophageal pH<4.0>4.0% at 24 h or DeMeester score>14.7 were used as diagnostic criteria for GERD. Among them, patients with both positive LPRD and GERD were classified as L&G group, patients with positive LPRD and negative GERD were classified as IL group, patients with negative LPRD and positive GERD were classified as IG group, and patients with both negative LPRD and GERD were classified as N group. The differences in the clinical characteristics of reflux and salivary pepsin assay in each group were statistically analyzed. SPSS 23.0 software was applied for statistical analysis. Results: According to the 24 h-HEMII-pH results, 116 (82.3%) patients were diagnosed with LPRD and 45 (31.9%) with GERD, including 82 (58.2%) in the IL group, 34 (24.1%) in the L&G group, 11 (7.8%) in the IG group, and 14 (9.9%) in the N group. Based on the salivary pepsin test, a total of 106 patients had positive results, and the L&G group had a significantly higher rate of positive total salivary pepsin test (94.1%) and positive morning test (70.6%) than the IL group (75.6%, 26.8%), IG group (63.6%, 27.3%) and N group (35.7%, 28.6%), with chi-square values of 19.01 and 20.81, both with P<0.001. The patients in the L&G group had a significantly higher RSI score (14.0) than the IL group (7.0), IG group (1.0) and N group (0), H=52.26,P<0.001. The difference in RFS between the L&G and IL groups was not statistically significant (Z=-0.92,P>0.05). Conclusion: Combined with GERD, LPRD patients have more obvious clinical symptoms and higher positive rate of pepsin test in saliva.

[Characteristics of the white matter involvement sites on MRI in patients with multiple gliomas]

The retrospective study included 122 cases of multiple glioma and 183 cases of single glioma. Of these, there were 74 males and 48 female with multiple gliomas, aged 18 to 83 (53±13) years, and 104 males and 79 females with single gliomas, aged 10 to 84 (51±14) years. A standard spatial-based lesion analysis method was used for constructing a spatially distributed frequency heatmap of multiple gliomas, to observe the characteristics of their white matter invasion sites. The spatial distribution was more frequent in the subventricular zone, corpus callosum and cingulate gyrus in the multiple glioma group compared to the single glioma group (P<0.001).The white matter areas of multiple gliomas were more extensively involved, with more frequent involvement of the conjoined fibers (corpus callosum, P<0.05) and contact fibers (cingulate, dome, 0.05<P<0.10) areas.The spatial distribution of the brain and the white matter invasion of multiple gliomas have certain site specificity.

Herbaceous Dominant the Changes of Normalized Difference Vegetation Index in the Transition Zone Between Desert and Typical Steppe in Inner Mongolia, China

Asymmetric responses of aboveground net primary productivity (ANPP) to precipitation were identified as a signal to predict ecosystem state shifts at temperate grassland zones in Inner Mongolia, China. However, mechanism studies were still lacking. This study hypothesized that the enhanced growth and newly emerged herbaceous after increased precipitation resulted in the highest asymmetry at the transition zone between desert and typical steppe. We monitored the responses of the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) of different species to precipitation events using un-manned aerial vehicle technology to test this hypothesis. NDVI and species richness were measured twice at fixed points in July and August with a time interval of 15 days. Results showed that: (1) From July to August, NDVI in the transition zone increased significantly after precipitation (P < 0.05), but NDVI in both the desert and typical steppe showed a non-significant change (P > 0.05). (2) In the transition zone, NDVI increases from the shrub and herbaceous contributed to 37 and 63% increases of the site NDVI, respectively. (3) There was a significant difference in species richness between July and August in the transition zone (P < 0.05), mainly caused by the herbaceous (Chenopodiaceae, Composite, Convolvulaceae, Gramineae, Leguminosae, and Liliaceae), which either emerged from soil or tillers growth from surviving plants. This study demonstrated that herbaceous dominant the changes of NDVI in the transition zone, which provides a scientific basis for the mechanism studies of ANPP asymmetric response to precipitation and warrants long-term measurements.

[Effect of binocular accommodation and vergence function examinations and interventions on subjective discomfort of dry eye]

Objective: To investigate the accommodation and vergence (AV) function of patients with mild to moderate refractory dry eye symptoms, and determine the impact of relevant interventions on subjective symptoms. Methods: A total of 103 patients with dry eye disease (DED) in Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center between December 2017 and June 2019 were included. After 3-month conventional treatment, the patients entered the treatment-responsive group if ocular surface disease index (OSDI) decreased ≥12.5, and others were recruited into the refractory symptoms group. Binocular AV function, OSDI, tear break-up time (TBUT), Schirmer's test (ST) and fluorescein staining (FL) were determined in all the patients. Corrective therapy on the AV dysfunction was added in the refractory symptoms group besides the conventional therapy. The above-mentioned indexes were reexamined 8 weeks later. The incidence of AV dysfunction was compared between the refractory symptoms group and the treatment-responsive group. Moreover, the differences of OSDI and tear film stability were compared before and after the corrective therapy in the refractory symptoms group. Results: Sixty of 103 DED patients were classified into the refractory symptoms group [mean age: (27±6) years; 18 males and 25 females] and 43 into the treatment-responsive group [mean age: (30±6) years; 32 males and 28 females]. The incidence of AV dysfunction in the refractory symptom group (100%) was higher than that of the treatment responsive group (72.1%) (P<0.001). Forty patients with refractory symptoms accomplished the 8-week corrective therapy, and the OSDI score was significant improved (23.4±16.0 vs 40.6±15.7, P<0.001). However, further changes in ST, TBUT and FL were not detected in these patients (all P>0.05). Conclusions: There is a high prevalence of AV dysfunction in patients with refractory symptomatic DED. The corrective therapy on AV may improve the subjective symptoms in these patients.

[Effectiveness and cost analysis of two chemical molluscicides in hilly schistosomiasis-endemic regions]

OBJECTIVE

To investigate the effectiveness and cost of 50% and 80% wettable powder of niclosamide ethanolamine salt (NESWP) and 26% metaldehyde and niclosamide suspension concentrate (MNSC) in hilly schistosomiasis-endemic regions, so as to provide insights into the selection of chemical molluscicides in hilly regions.

METHODS

In September 2020, a wasteland in Guanshanqiao Village, Yanrui Township, Yushan County of Jiangxi Province was selected as the experimental region, which was sectioned into five blocks and defined as four experimental groups (A₁, A₂, B, C) and a blank control group (D). 80% NESWP were given at doses of 1 g/m² and 1.5 g/m² in groups A₁ and A₂ using the spraying method, 50% NESWP was given at a dose of 2 g/m² in Group B using the spraying method, and 26% MNSC was at a dose of 4 g/m² in Group C using the spraying method, while no chemical treatment was given in Group D. Snail survey was performed using a systematic sampling method before chemical treatment and 1, 3, 7 d and 15 d post-treatment to examine the molluscicidal effect, and all molluscicidal costs were estimated to calculate the cost of chemical treatment per 1 m² and the cost of the reduction in the mean density of living snails per 1%.

RESULTS

The highest mortality of snails was 78.95% and the lowest density of living snails was 0.2388 snails/0.1 m² in the experimental groups within 7 d of chemical treatment, and the highest mortality of snails was 94.74% and the lowest density of living snails was 0.058 0 snails/0.1 m² 7 d post-treatment. There were no significant differences in the snail mortality among the A₁, A₂, B and C groups 1 (χ² = 2.250, P > 0.05), 3 (χ² = 1.779, P > 0.05) or 15 d post-treatment (χ² = 2.286, P > 0.05), while a significant difference was detected in the snail mortality among the four groups 7 d post-treatment (χ² = 7.990, P = 0.046). In addition, there were no significant differences in the snail mortality between A₁ and A₂ groups 1 (χ² = 0.724, P > 0.05), 3 (χ² = 0.584, P > 0.05), 7 (χ² = 0.400, P > 0.05) or 15 d post-treatment (χ² = 0.251, P > 0.05). The costs of chemical treatment per 1 m² were 0.58, 0.60, 0.64 Yuan and 0.73 Yuan in groups A₁, A₂, B and C, and the costs of the mean density of living snail per 1% reduction were 19.29, 20.44, 21.68 Yuan and 23.53 Yuan in groups A₁, A₂, B and C, respectively.

CONCLUSIONS

80% NESWP shows a high molluscicidal efficacy and low cost in hilly schistosomiasis-endemic regions.

[The roles of two HIV self-testing models in promoting HIV-testing among men who have sex with men]

Objective: To evaluate the roles between two different HIV self-testing models in promoting HIV-testing among men who have sex with men (MSM). Methods: This paper focuses on two HIV self-testing service models. The first; is the online self-testing model (HIV self-testing conventional model) with the sexual health promotion network platform. The other one is an innovative HIV self-testing model (secondary distribution model), based on the previous program. The two different self-testing models, including the number of indexes and alters, the positive rate, and the demographics of indexes and alters, are compared. The influence of volunteers with or without leadership on the number of HIV self-test kits distributed or self-use is analyzed through the leadership survey scale. Results: The return rates of HIV self-testing results in the two models are 94.7%(323/341) and 99.2%(1 141/1 150), respectively, within 30 days. The proportion of alters in the secondary distribution is significantly higher (45.9%,281/612) than the conventional HIV self-testing (6.3%,20/318). In the secondary distribution model, the difference between the number of indexes and alters indicators including age, marital status, residence, sex orientation, anal sex with men in the past six months, and HIV test are statistically significant (χ² test, all P<0.05). The opinion leader of MSM has significantly impacted the promotion of HIV self-testing (P<0.05). Conclusions: Both models can promote HIV self-testing, result return, and HIV positive detection among MSM. In terms of expanding the testing and detection of HIV positive, the secondary distribution mode shows more obvious advantages, which significantly promotes a large number of MSM who have never been tested for HIV to undergo HIV testing. Influential indexes have a significant effect on increasing the HIV testing rate and promoting HIV testing among MSM.

[Comparison of clinical characteristics of patients with different types of laryngopharyngeal reflux disease]

Objective: To compare the clinical characteristics of patients with different type of laryngopharyngeal reflux disease in order to study the effect of non-acid reflux on laryngopharyngeal reflux disease. Methods: From January 2015 to January 2020, 349 inpatients or outpatients suspected of having laryngopharyngeal reflux underwent 24-hour multichannel intraluminal impedance pH monitoring (MII-pH). There were 303 male and 46 female patients, with an average age of 56.03 years old ranged from 25 to 81 years old. The reflux symptom index (RSI)and reflux findings score(RFS)were recorded before MII-pH monitoring. The number of acid reflux events and non-acid reflux events in hypopharynx were counted. It was defined mainly acid reflux type when the ratio of acid reflux to all reflux events was greater than 50%, mainly non-acid reflux type when the ratio of non-acid reflux to all reflux events was greater than 50%. The clinical characteristics of patients with different type of reflux were compared. SPSS 19.0 software was used for statistical analysis, and multiple independent samples were compared between groups. The quantitative data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance, and the counting data were analyzed by chi-square test, the difference was statistically significant when P<0.05. Results: The 24-hour MII-pH showed that there were 90 patients with no reflux events, 51 patients with mainly acid reflux type, 198 patients with mainly non-acid reflux type and 10 patients with equal acid reflux events and non-acid reflux events. Statistics showed that the RSI(10.72±4.40), RFS(7.70±2.73) and the average number of reflux events(0) in the group without reflux events were significantly lower than those in patients with mainly acid reflux type (RSI 13.16±6.62,RFS 10.08±3.03,average number of reflux events 5.33±3.15,P<0.05) and mainly non-acid reflux type(RSI 13.25±5.54,RFS 8.81±2.54,average number of reflux events 7.93±5.26, P<0.05). There was no significant difference in RSI between the mainly non-acid reflux type group and the mainly acid reflux type group, but the RFS of the mainly non-acid reflux type group was significantly lower than that of the mainly acid reflux type group. The average number of reflux events in the mainly non-acid reflux group was significantly higher than that in the mainly acid reflux type group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The results show that non-acid reflux plays a certain role in laryngopharyngeal reflux disease, but the effect of acid reflux is greater.

[Study on the relationship between adenoid and tonsil hypertrophy and obesity in children]

Objective: To study the relationship between adenoid hypertrophy, tonsillar hypertrophy and overweight or even obesity in children. Methods: A total of 799 children aged 2 to 12 years with tonsillar and adenoid hypertrophy from January 2015 to December 2019 in the Department of Otolaryngology Head Neck Surgery, the Sixth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital were selected. The body mass index (BMI) was calculated according to the height and weight measured routinely at the time of admission. The difference of BMI between children and normal children of the same age, and the correlation between adenoid, tonsil hypertrophy and obesity were compared. Chi-square test was used to compare the surgical children's BMI of different genders with normal children of the same age, and Spearman rank correlation was used to analyze the correlation between BMI and adenoid and tonsil hypertrophy. Results: The Spearman correlation coefficient between tonsil hypertrophy and BMI was 0.078, P=0.077, the Spearman correlation coefficient between adenoid hypertrophy and BMI was -0.058(P=0.100). χ(2) test showed that the proportion of overweight and obesity in school-age children (7~12 years old) was significantly higher than that in preschool children (2~6 years old), and the difference was statistically significant (χ(2)(male)=22.386, P(male)<0.001, χ(2)(female)=4.478, P(female)<0.001). Conclusion: There is no obvious correlation between adenoid hypertrophy, tonsil hypertrophy and overweight or obesity in children, but the probability of children overweight or obesity increases with age, and the proportion of obesity in children aged 7-12 years is higher.

[Therapeutic effects of endoscopic posterior cordotomy for bilateral vocal cord paralysis]

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of the endoscopic bilateral posterior transverse partial cordotomy in patients with upper airway obstruction due to bilateral vocal fold paralysis. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 48 cases of upper airway obstruction due to bilateral vocal fold paralysis, who were admitted to Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the Sixth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from July 2009 to July 2019, was performed, including 13 males and 35 females. Patients' ages ranged from 27 to 83 years old. All patients underwent bilateral vocal fold posterior resection. Results: Among the 48 patients, 1 patient was lost to follow-up, and the remaining 47 patients were followed up for 5 months to 10 years . None of the 47 patients had a recurrence or severe complications. 89.58% (43/48) patients reconstructed a reliable and effective airway and 88.89% (40/45) patients were decannulated in 1-3 months postoperatively, with the median decannulation time of 1 month. Recovery rate of swallowing function and satisfactory pronunciation were 97.92% (47/48) and 95.35% (41/43) respectively. Conclusions: Endoscopic bilateral posterior transverse partial cordotomy can establish a reliable and effective airway and maximize the protection of swallowing and voice functions. At the same time, it is a safe, reliable, simple and minimally invasive treatment option.

[Association between single nucleotide polymorphism in promoter region of SIRT1 gene and senile degenerative heart valvular disease]

Objective: To investigate the correlation between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of SIRT1 gene promoter sequence and senile degenerative heart valvular disease (SDHVD). Methods: A total of 236 SDHVD patients and 285 healthy controls who visited the Affiliated Hospital of Jining Medical University between February 2012 and October 2016 were enrolled. SNPs of SIRT1 gene promoter were detected by Sanger sequencing. Typing and correlation were analyzed by χ(2) test and Logistic regression analysis. Haplotype and linkage disequilibrium were analyzed by Haploview4.2 software and SHEsis online software. The effect of SNPs on the binding of transcription factors to SIRT1 gene promoter was analyzed by electrophoretic mobility shift assay(EMSA). The transcription factors affected by SNPs were predicted by Transfac online software. Results: The frequency distribution of GG genotype of rs3740051 in the SDHVD group was significantly higher than that in the control group (χ(2)=4.855, P=0.028). There was a correlation between GG genotype of the rs3740051 and SDHVD. After adjusting for age, the risk of SDHVD in the carrier of GG genotype was 3.079 times higher than that of AA genotype(OR=3.079, 95%CI: 1.156-8.201, P=0.024). The five SNPs (rs3740051, rs932658, rs35995735, rs3740053 and rs2394443) showed strong linkage disequilibrium(D'>0.8). The haplotype analysis of the five SNPs (haplotype frequency<0 was ignored in the analysis) showed that 11 haplotypes (P<0.05) were formed, and the frequency of *A**C, AA**C, *AG*C, AAG*C, AA*AC, *AGAC and AAGAC in SDHVD group were significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05, OR>1, 95%CI does not contains 1). EMSA showed that the color of the binding bands incubated by wild type probe and nucleoprotein was darker than that incubated by DNA sequence variation probe and nucleoprotein. Conclusion: The GG genotype of rs3740051 is associated with SDHVD and may be a risk genotype for SDHVD. The haplotype AC (across rs932658 and rs2394443) may be a dangerous haplotype of SDHVD. rs3740051 may affect the occurrence and development of SDHVD by interfering with the binding of FOXC protein to SIRT1 gene promoter.

[Clinical features and recurrence rate on benign paroxysmal positional vertigo]

Objective:To study the characteristics and the recurrence rate of manual reduction of BPPV. Method:The clinical characteristics of 735 patients with BPPV were analyzed retrospectively. The posterior semicircular canal BPPV（PC-BPPV） was treated with the Epley maneuver therapy; the horizontal semicircular canal BPPV（HC-BPPV） was treated with the Barbecue therapy; the anterior semicircular canal BPPV（AC-BPPV） was treated with the Yacovino therapy; the combined semicircular canal was treated with the Epley and the Barbecue therapy; and for the bilateral lesions, first treat the more severe side with manual reduction then the lighter side was treated with manual reduction after the more severe side nystagmus or vertigo completely disappears. Result:①Of the 735 patients with BPPV, 455（61.90%） were PC-BPPV, 272（37.01%） were HC-BPPV, 3（0.41%） were AC-BPPV, and 5（0.68%） were combined BPPV. ②A total of 455 patients with BPPV were followed up by telephone. 51 patients recurred within 3 years, the recurrence rate was 11.21%; the male recurrence rate was 25.68%（38/148）, and the female recurrence rate was 28.66%（88/307）. The recurrence rate was the highest in 51-60 years old, and the recurrence rate was 29.67%. ③300 patients with PC-BPPV were followed up by telephone, 81 cases（27.00%） recurred, and the recurrence rates of one month, six months, one year, two years, and three years were 0.67%（2/300）, 3.33%（10/300）, 6.67%（20/300）, 9.33%（28/300） and 11.67%（35/300） respectively; 155 patients with HC-BPPV were followed up by telephone, 45 cases（29.03%） recurred, the recurrence rates of one months, six months, one year, two years, and three years were 0（0/155）, 2.58%（4/155）, 3.23%（5/155）, 7.10%（11/155） and 9.68%（15/155） respectively. Conclusion:PC-BPPV is the most common disease in BPPV patients. Manual recurrence can effectively treat the recurrence rate of BPPV, female patients is slightly higher than that of male patients. The long-term recurrence rate of PC-BPPV is consistent with that of HC-BPPV. The BPPV were most common in posterior semicircular canal. Manual reduction is effective to treat BPPV cases. BPPV recurrence was not correlated with age and gender. The long-term recurrence rate of PC-BPPV and HC-BPPV is consistent.

[Long-term efficacy observation of BPPV repositioning maneuver]

Objective:The aim of this study is to observe and analyze the long-term follow-up of the recurrence of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo BPPV with repositioning maneuver, and to determine the long-term therapeutic effect of repositioning maneuver. Method:To collect 738 patients who were diagnosed with BBPV due to vertigo. Follow up by telephone, SMS and other contact methods to analyze and summarize the long-term follow up of the recurrence of patients who had been treated with the appropriate repositioning maneuver. Result:Of the 738 patients, 458 patients were followed up and 280 were lost to follow up. The total follow up rate was 62.06%. 458 patients were followed up with 314 patients without recurrence and 144 patients with recurrence. The total recurrence rate was 31.44%. Conclusion:Repositioning maneuver is the most commonly used way for the treatment of BPPV. It is safe, simple and effective. However, patients with BPPV who have been cured by manual reduction still have a risk of recurrence. Among patients with relapse, the proportion of patients who relapsed once after treatment was the highest, and the recurrence rate of women with BPPV was significantly higher than that of men.

[Feasibility analysis of pepsin strip test in diagnosis of laryngopharyngeal reflux disease]

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of pepsin strip test in the diagnosis of laryngopharyngeal reflux. Methods: From August 2017 to September 2018,80 patients in Department of Otorhniolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery,Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital-Six Medical Centre, underwent pepsin strip test and 24-hour multichannel intraluminal impedance(MII)-pH monitoring. The results of the two methods were analyzed for consistency,and 24-hour MII-pH monitoring was used as a statistical reference for the sensitivity and specificity of pepsin strip test in the diagnosis of laryngopharyngeal reflux. Data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 software. Results: There were 57 patients with positive pepsin test strip and 23 patients with negative pepsin test strip. The score of reflux symptoms and signs, and the positive rate of laryngopharyngeal reflux events in patients with positive pepsin strip test were significantly higher than those in patients with negative pepsin test strip. If there was one or more throat reflux events (including acid reflux,weak acid reflux and alkali reflux) as the positive results of 24-hour MII-pH monitoring,the consistency between the results of pepsin strip and 24-hour MII-pH was moderate (Kappa=0.614). The sensitivity and specificity of pepsin strip were 86.9% (53/61) and 78.9% (15/19) respectively. Conclusions: Pepsin strip detection has the advantages of non-invasive,cheap and easy to operate.As an objective method for early diagnosis of laryngopharyngeal reflux, pepsin strip detectionis feasible,but can not be the final diagnosis for laryngopharyngeal reflux disease.

[Preliminary study on age stability of VOR gain values of video head impulse test in healthy subjects]

Objective: To explore the age stability of the video head impulse test(vHIT) in healthy subjects. Method: This was a prospective study on healthy subjects referred to our department. One hundred and eighty healthy subjects(age range 21-80) without any current or previous history of brain disorder, vertigo, neck stiffness or eye diseases participated in this study and the vHIT was carried out in all 180 cases. The relationship between VOR gain and age was analysed using univariate regression model and one-way ANOVA for subjects. Result: The VOR gains of the left horizontal semicircular canal, posterior semicircular canal and anterior semicircular canal were 1.02±0.12, 1.04± 0.15 and 0.94±0.16 respectively. The VOR gains of the right horizontal semicircular canal, posterior semicircular canal and anterior semicircular canal were 1.05±0.14, 1.00±0.16, 0.97±0.15 respectively. The difference of VOR gain between left and right corresponding semicircular canals was not statistically significant(P>0.05). For male subjects, the VOR gains of horizontal, anterior and posterior semicircular canal were 1.05±0.13, 1.02±0.16, 0.99±0.16 respectively, and for female subjects, the VOR gains of horizontal, anterior and posterior semicircular canal were 1.05±0.13, 1.01±0.16, 0.97±0.16 respectively. There was no significant difference in VOR gain of three semicircular canals between male and female(P>0.05). The VOR gain in different age groups was analyzed by one-way ANOVA. There was no significant difference in the VOR gain among different age groups(P>0.05). Univariate linear regression analysis was performed between the age and the VOR gain of the three semicircular canals. The slopes of the regression equations were 0.001 8, 0.000 2 and 0.000 3, respectively. Conclusion:The VOR gain of the six semicircular canals in healthy subjects is not significantly influenced by gender, and it varies slightly with age without requirement for adjustment with age. .

[Personal dose monitoring of radiation workers in medical institutions at the municipal level and below in a city from 2011 to 2014]

Objective: To determine the personal dose level of radiation workers in medical institutions at the municipal level and below in a city, and to provide a scientific support for strengthening the radiation protection in the city's medical institutions. Methods: Information of the successful applicants for the "Radiation Worker Permit" from 174 medical institutions at the municipal level and below was collected from October 1, 2011 to December 31, 2014. The annual effective dose was calculated based on the personal dose monitoring report, and indicators including sex, permit application time, hospital level, type of occupational radiation, length of radiation work, blood test, and micronucleated lymphocyte rate were analyzed. Results: Of the 1 143 radiation worker permit applications submitted by medical institutions the municipal level and below in this city from 2011 to 2014, 1 123 provided at least one personal dose monitoring report. The annual effective dose of the radiation workers was 0-4.76 mSv (mean 0.31±0.40 mSv) , and the collective annual effective dose was 351.96 mSv. The annual effective dose was significantly different between radiation workers with different times of permit application, hospital levels, and types of occupational radiation (P<0.05) . Interventional radiology workers had the highest annual effective dose (0.63 mSv) , and annual effective dose was significantly different between interventional radiology workers with different lengths of radiation work (H=10.812, P<0.05) . Conclusion: The personal radiation dose of radiation workers in medical institutions at the municipal level and below in this city is maintained at a relatively low level, suggesting that the occupational environment is relatively safe for these workers. However, more focus should be placed on clinical interventional radiology workers.

[A preliminary study on the relationship between laryngopharyngeal reflux and chronic rhinosinusitis]

Objective:To study the relationship between laryngopharyngeal reflux and chronic rhinosinusitis. Method:A total of 46 patients were enrolled in this study including 25 cases with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, 10 cases with chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps and 11 cases underwent surgery due to abnormal nasal anatomy such as nasal septum deviation, bubble in the turbinate, etc. as control group. The expression of pepsin was detected using immunohistochemistry in three groups. The intensity of pepsin expression and CT score of sinus, blood eosinophils percentage, blood neutrophils percentage, blood basohils percentage, blood mononuclear percentage, blood lymphocytes percentage were analyzed. Result:There were 8 strong positive cases (32%, 8/25), positive in 8 cases (32%, 8/25), 2 weakly positive cases (8%,2/25), 7 negative cases (28%, 7/25) in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps group. In the chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps group, the expression of pepsin was strong positive in 4 cases (40%, 4/10), positive in 3 cases (30%, 3/10), weakly positive in 1 cases (10%, 1/10), negative in 2 cases (20%, 2/10). There were no strong positive expression in the control group, positive in 2 cases (18.2%, 2/11), weakly positive in 3 cases (27.3%, 3/11), negative in 6 cases (54.5%, 6/11), chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps group and chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps group higher than the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in pepsin expression between chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps group and without group (P=0.617). Spearman correlation analysis indicated that the intensity of pepsin was positively correlated with the score of Lund-Markay (r=0.349,P=0.017), there was no correlation with the percentage of various inflammatory cells. Conclusion:The positive expression intensity of pepsin in chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps is significantly higher than that in normal control group, suggested that there is a correlation between laryngopharyngeal reflux and chronic rhinosinusitis. Laryngopharyngeal reflux is positively correlated with the severity of nasal polyps. Chronic nasal inflammation caused by laryngopharyngeal reflux is not mediated by a certain kind of inflammatory cells.

[The assessed value of Epworth sleep scale and arousal index in severe OSAHS patients]

Objective:The aim of this study was to study the assessed value of Epworth sleep scale (ESS) and arousal index in severe obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) patients.Method:The 1193 severe OSAHS adults diagnosised by polysomnography recordings were divided into 3 groups according to ESS: the mild group (ESS≤12), the moderate group (13≤ESS≤17) and the severe group (ESS≥18). The apnea hypopnea index(AHI), apnea index (AI), hypopnea index(HI), the lowest oxygen saturation (LSaO₂), arousal index (ArI), and body mass index (BMI) were compared between each groups.Result:Significant differences were observed in ArI, AHI, AI, HI, LSaO₂ between each groups (P< 0.05). ESS and ArI were positively correlated with AHI and AI (r=0.187-0.399, P< 0.05). ESS and ArI showed a weak negative correlation with LSaO2 and HI (r=－0.14-－0.448, P< 0.05).Conclusion:ArI and ESS are important indexes to evaluate the severity of severe OSAHS patients.

[Observational study on patients with laryngeal cancer and/or vocal leukoplakia concurrent with laryngopharyngeal reflux]

Objective: To observe the incidence and to determine the significance of laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) in laryngeal cancer and vocal leukoplakia. Methods: The patients who had been diagnosed as laryngeal cancer or vocal leukoplakia between January 2014 and June 2017 were included in this study. All of them received 24-hour multichannel intraluminal impedance-pH monitoring. The prevalence of LPR and numerous parameters from the 24-hour pH monitoring in laryngeal cancer patient and vocal leukoplakia patient groups were analyzed. The chi-square test was used for counting data, t test and Mann-Whitney U were used for measuring data. Results: In the 91 laryngeal cancer patients, the prevalence of pathologic LPR was 28.6%(26/91), the median number[P(25), P(75), P(95)]of acid reflux events was 0[0, 3, 5], time of acid exposure was 0[0, 14, 234]s, number of weakly acidic reflux events was 3[0, 6, 11]. In the 54 vocal leukoplakia patients, the prevalence of pathologic LPR was 29.6%(16/54), the number of acid reflux events was 0[0, 3, 4], time of acid exposure was 0[0, 13, 118]s, number of weakly acidic reflux events was 1.5[0, 5, 9]. The incidence of LPR did not vary in the laryngeal cancer patient and vocal leukoplakia patient groups, but were both higher than healthy Chinese volunteers according to a report in the other literature. Furthermore, all the three patients with no history of tobacco or alcohol existed acid or weakly acidic reflux episodes. Conclusions: Laryngopharyngeal reflux might play a role as an etiologic factor in laryngeal cancer and vocal leukoplakia.

[Demographic characteristics and canalith repositioning efficacy in 907 patients with typical benign paroxysmal positional vertigo]

AbstractObjective:To review the demographic characteristics and canalith repositioning efficacy in 907 patients with typical benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV). Method: The demographic characteristics of 907 patients with typical BPPV were statistically analyzed. According to the type of BPPV, patients were treated with the appropriate repositioning maneuver, and the clinical efficacy of repositioning maneuver was analyzed and summarized. Result: Nine hundred and seven patients of BPPV with typical nystagmus were elected in this study. 585 out of 907 were female and 322 out of were male, and the mean age was 53.10±14.25(13 to 89) years. The lesion located to the posterior semiCIrcular canal was 489 patients(53.9%), horizontal semiCIrcular canal was 312 patients(34.4%), anterior semiCIrcular was 63 patients(6.9%), and multiple semiCIrcular was 43 patients(4.8%). According to Kaplan-Meier survival analysis curve, the median cure time for the modified Semont and Epley repositioning maneuver in PC-BPPV groups was 3 days, and there was no significant difference in survival curves between the two repositioning maneuver. Meanwhile, the median cure time for Barbecue and Li horizontal canal quick repositioning maneuver groups was 3 days, and 1 day for Gufoni repositioning maneuver group in HC-BPPV groups. And there was no significant difference in survival curves among the three repositioning maneuver. In the AC-BPPV, 7 cases, 31 cases, 57 cases, 58 cases were cured with the Li anterior canal quick repositioning maneuver in the 1st day, the 3rd day, 1 week later, and 1 month later, and 5 cases lost to be follow-up. According to Kaplan-Meier survival analysis curve, the median cure time for the Li anterior canal quick repositioning maneuver in AC-BPPV groups was 3 days. Conclusion:Repositioning maneuver represents a simple, safe, rapid and effective approach to the treatment of BPPV. Therefore, repositioning maneuver should be choice for the BPPV treatment.
