Abstract
Reaction of 4-amino-6-methyl-3-thio-3,4-dihydro-1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)-one (1) with 2-methoxybenzaldehyde, 4-methoxybenzaldehyde, 2-pyridinecarbaldehyde, and 2,4-dichlorobenzaldehyde under classical heating and microwave irradiation in a solventfree system led to the corresponding imines (Schiff bases) 2-5. All synthesized compounds have been characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and by X-ray diffraction studies.

The complexes have been characterized by IR spectros copy and by crystal structure determinations. The crystal structure of N-chlorophthalimide has also been solved.

Abstract
The donor-acceptor complex [Cl-I-C≡C-Ph]- has been prepared as the methyl-triphenyl-phosphonium salt from 1-iodo-2-phenylacetylene and [PMePh3]N3 in CH2Cl2 solution. It forms colourless single crystals which were characterized by a crystal structure determination. Space group Pbca, Z = 8, lattice dimensions at -80 °C: a = 1047.1(1), b = 1700.3(1), c = 2793.2(1) pm, R = 0.035. The chloride ion is coordinated at the iodine atom of the 1-iodo-2-phenylacetylene molecule in a nearly linear arrangement [CI-I-C≡C-Ph]- with bond lengths I-Cl of 302.4 pm and I-C of 203.1(5) pm.

Abstract
The donor-acceptor complexes [X-I-C6H5]− with X− = Cl− and Br− have been prepared as tetraphenylphosphonium salts from iodobenzene and PPh4X in acetonitrile solutions. They form colourless single crystals, which were characterized by crystal structure determinations.
PPh4[Cl-I-C6H5]: Space group P21/c, Z = 4. Lattice dimensions at -70°C: a = 1301.1(5), b= 1457.0(5), c = 1478.8(5) pm, β = 114.17(3)°.
PPh4[Br-I-C6H5]: Space group P21/n, Z = 4. Lattice dimensions at 20°C: a = 1354.9(1), b= 1480.1(2), c = 1375.5(1) pm, β = 106.13(2)°.
The halide ions are coordinate at the iodine atom of the iodobenzene molecule in a linear arrangement [X-I-C6H5]− with bond lengths Cl-I of 327.9 and Br-I of 347.2 pm.

Abstract
The reaction of 2-(aminomethyl)pyridine and 4-toluenesulfonyl chloride in CH2Cl2 at pH 8 led to the title compound, C20H20N2O4S2. The aromatic rings are almost perpendicular to each other and the dihedral angles between the aromatic ring planes are 74.33 (9) (central pyridine versus benzene ring of the tosyl group bonded to the imine functionality), 73.77 (6) (pyridine versus benzene ring of the tosyl group bonded to pyridinic N atom) and 79.83 (9)° (benzene rings of tosyl groups). In the crystal structure, intermolecular aromatic π–π stacking interactions [centroid–centroid separation = 3.6274 (14) Å] help to consolidate the packing.
