Abstract
Detailed measurements of the spectral structure of cosmic-ray electrons and positrons from 10.6 GeV to 7.5 TeV are presented from over 7 years of observations with the CALorimetric Electron Telescope (CALET) on the International Space Station. The instrument, consisting of a charge detector, an imaging calorimeter, and a total absorption calorimeter with a total depth of 30 radiation lengths at normal incidence and a fine shower imaging capability, is optimized to measure the all-electron spectrum well into the TeV region. Because of the excellent energy resolution (a few percent above 10 GeV) and the outstanding e/p separation (10^{5}), CALET provides optimal performance for a detailed search of structures in the energy spectrum. The analysis uses data up to the end of 2022, and the statistics of observed electron candidates has increased more than 3 times since the last publication in 2018. By adopting an updated boosted decision tree analysis, a sufficient proton rejection power up to 7.5 TeV is achieved, with a residual proton contamination less than 10%. The observed energy spectrum becomes gradually harder in the lower energy region from around 30 GeV, consistently with AMS-02, but from 300 to 600 GeV it is considerably softer than the spectra measured by DAMPE and Fermi-LAT. At high energies, the spectrum presents a sharp break around 1 TeV, with a spectral index change from -3.15 to -3.91, and a broken power law fitting the data in the energy range from 30 GeV to 4.8 TeV better than a single power law with 6.9 sigma significance, which is compatible with the DAMPE results. The break is consistent with the expected effects of radiation loss during the propagation from distant sources (except the highest energy bin). We have fitted the spectrum with a model consistent with the positron flux measured by AMS-02 below 1 TeV and interpreted the electron+positron spectrum with possible contributions from pulsars and nearby sources. Above 4.8 TeV, a possible contribution from known nearby supernova remnants, including Vela, is addressed by an event-by-event analysis providing a higher proton-rejection power than a purely statistical analysis.

Abstract
We present the observation of a charge-sign dependent solar modulation of galactic cosmic rays (GCRs) with the Calorimetric Electron Telescope onboard the International Space Station over 6 yr, corresponding to the positive polarity of the solar magnetic field. The observed variation of proton count rate is consistent with the neutron monitor count rate, validating our methods for determining the proton count rate. It is observed by the Calorimetric Electron Telescope that both GCR electron and proton count rates at the same average rigidity vary in anticorrelation with the tilt angle of the heliospheric current sheet, while the amplitude of the variation is significantly larger in the electron count rate than in the proton count rate. We show that this observed charge-sign dependence is reproduced by a numerical "drift model" of the GCR transport in the heliosphere. This is a clear signature of the drift effect on the long-term solar modulation observed with a single detector.

Abstract
We present the results of a direct measurement of the cosmic-ray helium spectrum with the CALET instrument in operation on the International Space Station since 2015. The observation period covered by this analysis spans from October 13, 2015, to April 30, 2022 (2392 days). The very wide dynamic range of CALET allowed for the collection of helium data over a large energy interval, from ∼40 GeV to ∼250 TeV, for the first time with a single instrument in low Earth orbit. The measured spectrum shows evidence of a deviation of the flux from a single power law by more than 8σ with a progressive spectral hardening from a few hundred GeV to a few tens of TeV. This result is consistent with the data reported by space instruments including PAMELA, AMS-02, and DAMPE and balloon instruments including CREAM. At higher energy we report the onset of a softening of the helium spectrum around 30 TeV (total kinetic energy). Though affected by large uncertainties in the highest energy bins, the observation of a flux reduction turns out to be consistent with the most recent results of DAMPE. A double broken power law is found to fit simultaneously both spectral features: the hardening (at lower energy) and the softening (at higher energy). A measurement of the proton to helium flux ratio in the energy range from 60 GeV/n to about 60 TeV/n is also presented, using the CALET proton flux recently updated with higher statistics.

Abstract
We present the measurement of the energy dependence of the boron flux in cosmic rays and its ratio to the carbon flux in an energy interval from 8.4 GeV/n to 3.8 TeV/n based on the data collected by the Calorimetric Electron Telescope (CALET) during ∼6.4 yr of operation on the International Space Station. An update of the energy spectrum of carbon is also presented with an increase in statistics over our previous measurement. The observed boron flux shows a spectral hardening at the same transition energy E_{0}∼200 GeV/n of the C spectrum, though B and C fluxes have different energy dependences. The spectral index of the B spectrum is found to be γ=-3.047±0.024 in the interval 25<E<200 GeV/n. The B spectrum hardens by Δγ_{B}=0.25±0.12, while the best fit value for the spectral variation of C is Δγ_{C}=0.19±0.03. The B/C flux ratio is compatible with a hardening of 0.09±0.05, though a single power-law energy dependence cannot be ruled out given the current statistical uncertainties. A break in the B/C ratio energy dependence would support the recent AMS-02 observations that secondary cosmic rays exhibit a stronger hardening than primary ones. We also perform a fit to the B/C ratio with a leaky-box model of the cosmic-ray propagation in the Galaxy in order to probe a possible residual value λ_{0} of the mean escape path length λ at high energy. We find that our B/C data are compatible with a nonzero value of λ_{0}, which can be interpreted as the column density of matter that cosmic rays cross within the acceleration region.

Abstract
A precise measurement of the cosmic-ray proton spectrum with the Calorimetric Electron Telescope (CALET) is presented in the energy interval from 50 GeV to 60 TeV, and the observation of a softening of the spectrum above 10 TeV is reported. The analysis is based on the data collected during ∼6.2 years of smooth operations aboard the International Space Station and covers a broader energy range with respect to the previous proton flux measurement by CALET, with an increase of the available statistics by a factor of ∼2.2. Above a few hundred GeV we confirm our previous observation of a progressive spectral hardening with a higher significance (more than 20 sigma). In the multi-TeV region we observe a second spectral feature with a softening around 10 TeV and a spectral index change from -2.6 to -2.9 consistently, within the errors, with the shape of the spectrum reported by DAMPE. We apply a simultaneous fit of the proton differential spectrum which well reproduces the gradual change of the spectral index encompassing the lower energy power-law regime and the two spectral features observed at higher energies.

Abstract
The relative abundance of cosmic ray nickel nuclei with respect to iron is by far larger than for all other transiron elements; therefore it provides a favorable opportunity for a low background measurement of its spectrum. Since nickel, as well as iron, is one of the most stable nuclei, the nickel energy spectrum and its relative abundance with respect to iron provide important information to estimate the abundances at the cosmic ray source and to model the Galactic propagation of heavy nuclei. However, only a few direct measurements of cosmic-ray nickel at energy larger than ∼3 GeV/n are available at present in the literature, and they are affected by strong limitations in both energy reach and statistics. In this Letter, we present a measurement of the differential energy spectrum of nickel in the energy range from 8.8 to 240 GeV/n, carried out with unprecedented precision by the Calorimetric Electron Telescope (CALET) in operation on the International Space Station since 2015. The CALET instrument can identify individual nuclear species via a measurement of their electric charge with a dynamic range extending far beyond iron (up to atomic number Z=40). The particle's energy is measured by a homogeneous calorimeter (1.2 proton interaction lengths, 27 radiation lengths) preceded by a thin imaging section (3 radiation lengths) providing tracking and energy sampling. This Letter follows our previous measurement of the iron spectrum [1O. Adriani et al. (CALET Collaboration), Phys. Rev. Lett. 126, 241101 (2021).PRLTAO0031-900710.1103/PhysRevLett.126.241101], and it extends our investigation on the energy dependence of the spectral index of heavy elements. It reports the analysis of nickel data collected from November 2015 to May 2021 and a detailed assessment of the systematic uncertainties. In the region from 20 to 240 GeV/n our present data are compatible within the errors with a single power law with spectral index -2.51±0.07.

The Calorimetric Electron Telescope (CALET), in operation on the International Space Station since 2015, collected a large sample of cosmic-ray iron over a wide energy interval. In this Letter a measurement of the iron spectrum is presented in the range of kinetic energy per nucleon from 10 GeV/n to 2.0 TeV/n allowing the inclusion of iron in the list of elements studied with unprecedented precision by space-borne instruments. The measurement is based on observations carried out from January 2016 to May 2020. The CALET instrument can identify individual nuclear species via a measurement of their electric charge with a dynamic range extending far beyond iron (up to atomic number Z=40). The energy is measured by a homogeneous calorimeter with a total equivalent thickness of 1.2 proton interaction lengths preceded by a thin (3 radiation lengths) imaging section providing tracking and energy sampling. The analysis of the data and the detailed assessment of systematic uncertainties are described and results are compared with the findings of previous experiments. The observed differential spectrum is consistent within the errors with previous experiments. In the region from 50 GeV/n to 2 TeV/n our present data are compatible with a single power law with spectral index -2.60±0.03.

Abstract
In this paper, we present the measurement of the energy spectra of carbon and oxygen in cosmic rays based on observations with the Calorimetric Electron Telescope on the International Space Station from October 2015 to October 2019. Analysis, including the detailed assessment of systematic uncertainties, and results are reported. The energy spectra are measured in kinetic energy per nucleon from 10 GeV/n to 2.2 TeV/n with an all-calorimetric instrument with a total thickness corresponding to 1.3 nuclear interaction length. The observed carbon and oxygen fluxes show a spectral index change of ∼0.15 around 200 GeV/n established with a significance >3σ. They have the same energy dependence with a constant C/O flux ratio 0.911±0.006 above 25 GeV/n. The spectral hardening is consistent with that measured by AMS-02, but the absolute normalization of the flux is about 27% lower, though in agreement with observations from previous experiments including the PAMELA spectrometer and the calorimetric balloon-borne experiment CREAM.

Background
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a strong risk factor for major cardiac and cerebrovascular events. In particular, coronary artery disease with DM is often complicated with complex lesions. Drug-eluting stents (DES) are mainly used for these lesions, and dual-antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) has been used to prevent stent thrombosis. Early arterial healing after DES implantation may enable short DAPT strategy. However, the impact of DM on the arterial healing in the early phase has not been elucidated to date.
Purpose
We evaluated the arterial healing in the early phase after DES implantation using coronary angioscopy (CAS) and compared the findings between DM and non-DM patients.
Methods
This study was a multicenter retrospective observational study. We analyzed CAS findings of 337 lesions from 270 patients which were evaluated 3 to 5 months after DES implantation. Patients were divided into two groups: DM (149 lesions in 118 patients) versus non-DM groups (188 lesions in 152 patients). We assessed neointimal coverage (NIC) grades (maximum, minimum and dominant), thrombus adhesion and maximum yellow color of plaque underneath the stent. NIC was graded as follows: grade 0, stent struts were not covered; grade 1, stent struts were covered by thin layer; grade 2, stent struts were buried under neointima. Yellow color was graded as follows: grade 0, white; grade 1, light yellow; grade 2, yellow; grade 3, intensive yellow.
Results
Minimum NIC coverage grade was lower in DM group than in non-DM group (P=0.002, Figure), while maximum and dominant NIC coverage grades were similar between them (P=0.94 and P=0.59, respectively). Thrombus adhesion (44.3% versus 38.8%, P=0.32) and maximum yellow color grade (P=0.78) were also similar between DM and non-DM groups. Even after the adjustment by the confounding factors such as follow-up duration and primary disease of acute coronary syndrome, DM was an independent factor predicting grade 0 of minimum NIC (odds ratio [OR] 1.83 [95% confidence interval 1.11–3.03], P=0.019).
Conclusion
DM patients showed less covered struts than non-DM patients 3 to 5 months after DES implantation, suggesting that the recent ultra-short DAPT strategy might not be easily applicable to DM patients.

Background
Critical limb ischemia (CLI) is the most progressed manifestation of peripheral artery disease. Although patients with CLI commonly complicate with severely calcified lesions in infrapopliteal lesions, the prognostic impact of infrapopliteal arterial calcification on wound healing in patients with CLI has not been systematically studied.
Purpose
The aim of current study was to elucidate the prognostic impact of infrapopliteal arterial calcification on wound healing in CLI undergoing endovascular therapy (EVT).
Methods
This study enrolled 639 CLI patients with tissue loss (age 74±10 years, male 62%, diabetes 69%, hemodialysis 57%, Rutherford class 5 77%, class 6 23%) primarily treated with EVT for the infrapopliteal lesions between April 2010 and December 2015. Arterial calcification was assessed by high intensity fluoroscopy and classified into 3 groups as follows; 1) none, 2) unilateral and 3) bilateral calcification. The primary outcome measure was complete wound healing. The predictors of the outcome were evaluated by Cox proportional hazards regression analysis.
Results
During a mean follow-up period of 22±19 months, 1-year wound healing rate were 59.0%. In Kaplan-Meier analysis, 1-year wound healing rate was worse in patients with bilateral calcification than in those with unilateral or none calcification (Figure, 46.2% versus 55.1% versus 67.8%, P<0.001). After multivariate analysis, the predictors of wound healing were non-ambulatory status (hazard ratio (HR) 0.67 [95% confidential interval (CI) 0.53–0.85], P=0.001) and bilateral calcification (HR 0.75 [95% CI 0.47–0.98], versus none or unilateral calcification, P=0.036).

Background
Polymer-free biolimus A9-coated stent (DCS) has currently emerged as expected better arterial healing compared to durable polymer drug-eluting stent (DP-DES). However, superiority of DCS on arterial healing over DP-DES has not been well elucidated using intracoronary images.
Methods
This study examined 288 stents in 224 patients with de novo coronary artery lesions. We angioscopically compared 55 DCS from 35 patients with 233 DP-DES from 189 patients 10±2 months after the implantation. We assessed thrombus adhesion, which is a marker of incomplete re-endothelialization. Dominant neointimal coverage (NIC) grade, heterogeneity of NIC and maximum yellow color of plaque underneath the stent were also evaluated. Neointimal coverage was graded as follows: grade 0, stent struts exposed; grade 1, struts bulged into the lumen, although covered; grade 2, struts embedded by the neointima, but translucent; grade 3, struts fully embedded and invisible. NIC was judged as heterogeneous when differences in the NIC grade became apparent. Yellow plaque was graded as follows: grade 0, white; grade 1, light yellow; grade 2, yellow; grade 3, intensive yellow.
Results
Thrombus adhesion was similar between DCS and DP-DES (29% versus 23%, P=0.32). Dominant NIC was greater in DCS than in BP-DES (P<0.001), while NIC was more heterogeneous in DCS than in BP-DES (P=0.001, Figure). Maximum yellow color of stented segment was similar between DCS and DP-DES (P=0.09).
Conclusion
DCS provided similar thrombus adhesion to DP-DES, which suggested similar re-endothelialization 10 months after implantation. However, DCS showed thick and heterogeneous NIC compared to DP-DES. The specific feature of polymer-free and Biolimus A9 would cause the difference, and further investigation is necessary to evaluate the longer-term safety and efficacy.

Background
Pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) using cryoballoon requires contrast medium injection for the confirmation of appropriate venous occlusion. However, some patients have contra-indications against contrast use such as allergy for contrast medium, bronchial asthma or renal dysfunction. We hypothesized that intra-cardiac echocardiographic observation of microbubble leakage after saline injection from the cryoballoon lumen can be used as a maker of incomplete venous occlusion.
Purpose
The aim of this study was to assess the effect of echo-guided approach using saline injection on the acute clinical outcomes as well as the amount of contrast medium.
Methods
Twenty consecutive patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) were studied. They had any reason to avoid using contrast medium. Plain CT scan was performed in all cases to understand the anatomical features. Intra-cardiac echocardiography was used in all cases to guide transseptal puncture and to confirm pulmonary-vein occlusion. Procedural results and clinical outcomes were compared with patients who were performed by the conventional method (n=279).
Results
In all study patients, we could perform PVI without using contrast medium. A total of 2 patients required touch-up ablation using radiofrequency ablation catheter. The procedure time (85±23 vs 86±27 min, P=0.84), the dose of radiation exposure (108±78 vs. 140±133 mmGy/m2, P=0.29), and ratio of requiring touch-up ablation (5% vs 4%, P=0.81) were similar between the study group and the reference group. There was no significant difference in the AF-free survival rate (73% vs. 76%, P=0.79) during a follow-up period of 14±6 months.

Background
Biodegradable polymer drug-eluting stent (BP-DES) has been developed to improve clinical outcomes after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for patients presenting coronary artery disease (CAD). Although BP-DES showed non-inferior safety and efficacy to durable polymer DES (DP-DES) in several randomized clinical trials, hemodialysis (HD) patients, who have been well known as high risk population for adverse events, were excluded in the most of trials. Therefore, there are limited data comparing the clinical outcomes between BP-DES and DP-DES in HD patients with CAD after PCI.
Purpose
The purpose of this study was to investigate clinical outcomes in HD patients after BP-DES implantation compared with those after DP-DES implantation.
Methods
We retrospectively analyzed 234 HD patients (male 74%, mean age 71±10 years) undergoing PCI for 404 lesions with 472 DESs (71 patients for 138 lesions with 170 BP-DESs [91 Ultimaster and 79 Synergy] and 163 HD patients for 266 lesions with 302 DP-DESs [219 Xience, 53 Promus and 30 Resolute]) from 2011 to 2017. Two-year clinical outcomes were compared between BP-DES group and DP-DES group. The primary outcome measure was the incidence of target lesion revascularization (TLR), while the secondary outcome measures were the occurrence of cardiac death (CD), stent thrombosis (ST), myocardial infraction (MI), target vessel revascularization (TVR), non-TVR and major adverse cardiac event (MACE) defined as a composite of CD, MI, and TVR. Outcome measures were estimated by the Kaplan-Meier method and the differences between BP-DES group and DP-DES group were assessed by the log-rank test. We also conducted Cox's proportional hazard model to identify predictors for TLR occurrence.
Results
Baseline patient and lesion characteristics were similar between the two groups. The two-year incidence of TLR was not significantly different between BP-DES group and DP-DES group (14.1% vs. 22.2%, p=0.391). The two-year incidences of CD (17.3% vs. 17.5%, p=0.381), ST (0% vs. 3.9%, p=0.133), MI (4.2% vs. 5.8%, p=0.965), TVR (21.3% vs. 27.5%, p=0.586), non-TVR (26.1% vs. 31.3%, p=0.439) and MACE (41.1% vs. 42.6%, p=0.526) were also not different between the two groups. After multivariate analysis, diabetes mellitus (hazard ratio 1.97; 95% confidence interval 1.03–3.78, p=0.004) was independently associated with TLR occurrence in HD patients.

Conclusions
At two-year follow-up after PCI, BP-DES had comparable safety and efficacy profiles to DP-DES in HD patients presenting CAD.

Abstract
In this paper, we present the analysis and results of a direct measurement of the cosmic-ray proton spectrum with the CALET instrument onboard the International Space Station, including the detailed assessment of systematic uncertainties. The observation period used in this analysis is from October 13, 2015 to August 31, 2018 (1054 days). We have achieved the very wide energy range necessary to carry out measurements of the spectrum from 50 GeV to 10 TeV covering, for the first time in space, with a single instrument the whole energy interval previously investigated in most cases in separate subranges by magnetic spectrometers (BESS-TeV, PAMELA, and AMS-02) and calorimetric instruments (ATIC, CREAM, and NUCLEON). The observed spectrum is consistent with AMS-02 but extends to nearly an order of magnitude higher energy, showing a very smooth transition of the power-law spectral index from -2.81±0.03 (50-500 GeV) neglecting solar modulation effects (or -2.87±0.06 including solar modulation effects in the lower energy region) to -2.56±0.04 (1-10 TeV), thereby confirming the existence of spectral hardening and providing evidence of a deviation from a single power law by more than 3σ.

Abstract
Abstract
Background: The live attenuated non-pathogenic Edmonston MV vaccine strain has advantages as an oncolytic platform given its tumor specificity, potent bystander effect, and ability to be engineered and retargeted. MV-NIS expresses the human thyroidal sodium-iodide symporter (NIS) and is selectively oncolytic, entering tumor cells through CD46 (overexpressed on many cancers, including breast cancer of all subtypes) and Nectin-4. NIS expression in MV-NIS infected cells permits noninvasive monitoring of virus spread by SPECT-CT imaging of Tc-99m pertechnetate or I-123 uptake.
Methods: NCT01846091 is a standard 3+3 phase I trial of a single IT administration of MV-NIS in pts with recurrent/metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN) or metastatic breast cancer (MBC). Primary objectives are (a) safety and tolerability and (b) maximally tolerated single dose. The secondary clinical objective is to preliminarily assess antitumor efficacy at and away from the MV injection site. Key eligibility criteria were: absence of standard therapy with life prolonging intent; at least one lesion >1 cm amenable to percutaneous injection; and no impending visceral crisis. MV-NIS was administered on D1 with mandatory SPECT-CT at baseline (BL) and on D3&D8; repeat SPECT-CT on D15&D21 if the prior result was positive; mandatory tumor biopsies on D3&D21; optional tumor biopsies on D8&D15; assessments for viremia and viral shedding at BL and on D3,D8,D15,D21; and standard imaging for restaging at BL,D21,W6,W12.
Results: Accrual completed with 12 evaluable pts (6 SCCHN and 6 MBC) at 3 dose levels (108, 3x108, 109 TCID50). The MBC group included 5 HR+/HER2- pts and 1 pt with mixed HR+/HER2- and HR+/HER2+ disease. 5 pts had evidence of disease progression prior to study participation. No dose limiting toxicities were observed among the MBC pts; AEs possibly related to MV-NIS in this group were gr2 fatigue, gr1 flu-like illness, gr2 lymphopenia (all n=1). No SCCHN responses were observed. Best response for the MBC pts was: stable disease (SD) >6 wks, n=4; clinical response, n=1; progression, n=1. One MBC pt with SD for 12 wks had positive SPECT/CT imaging at and away from the injection site on D3&D8 and was the only pt seronegative for measles IgG antibodies prior to MV-NIS exposure. The MBC pt who responded after initial MV-NIS exposure was the only pt with low viral RNA in blood (D3); she received additional doses at W9&W13 without toxicity through an expanded access protocol exemption and had disease progression by W19. No viral shedding was detected from mouth rinse or urine in any pt. MV was detected in tumor samples from all pts treated at the highest dose level. Additional blood and tissue analyses are in progress.
Conclusion: These results demonstrate the safety of IT MV-NIS administration, provide early evidence of biologic activity in MBC, and support the possibility of viral replication in tumors remote from the IT injection site. A MV strain encoding the immunomodulatory neutrophil activating protein transgene has been constructed (MV-s-NAP) with preclinical evidence of improved antitumor activity and immunogenicity. The phase I MV-s-NAP trial will start recruitment in Fall 2018.

Abstract
We report the first observation of the spontaneous polarization of Λ and Λ[over ¯] hyperons transverse to the production plane in e^{+}e^{-} annihilation, which is attributed to the effect arising from a polarizing fragmentation function. For inclusive Λ/Λ[over ¯] production, we also report results with subtracted feed-down contributions from Σ^{0} and charm. This measurement uses a dataset of 800.4 fb^{-1} collected by the Belle experiment at or near a center-of-mass energy of 10.58 GeV. We observe a significant polarization that rises with the fractional energy carried by the Λ/Λ[over ¯] hyperon.

Abstract
The CALorimetric Electron Telescope (CALET) space experiment, which has been developed by Japan in collaboration with Italy and the United States, is a high-energy astroparticle physics mission on the International Space Station (ISS). The primary goals of the CALET mission include investigation of possible nearby sources of high-energy electrons, detailed study of galactic cosmic-ray acceleration and propagation, and search for dark matter signatures. With a long-term observation onboard the ISS, the CALET experiment measures the flux of cosmic-ray electrons (including positrons) up to 20 TeV, gamma-rays to 10 TeV, and nuclei up to 1,000 TeV based on its charge separation capability from Z = 1 to 40. Since the start of science operation in mid-October, 2015, a continuous observation has been maintained without any major interruptions. The number of triggered events over 10 GeV is nearly 20 million per month. By using the data obtained during the first two-years, here we present a summary of the CALET observations: 1) Electron+positron energy spectrum, 2) Nuclei analysis, 3) Gamma-ray observation with a characterization of the on-orbit performance. The search results for the electromagnetic counterparts of LIGO/Virgo gravitational wave events are also discussed.

Abstract
We report the observation of ϒ(2S)→γη_{b}(1S) decay based on an analysis of the inclusive photon spectrum of 24.7 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collisions at the ϒ(2S) center-of-mass energy collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. We measure a branching fraction of B[ϒ(2S)→γη_{b}(1S)]=(6.1_{-0.7-0.6}^{+0.6+0.9})×10^{-4} and derive an η_{b}(1S) mass of 9394.8_{-3.1-2.7}^{+2.7+4.5} MeV/c^{2}, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The significance of our measurement is greater than 7 standard deviations, constituting the first observation of this decay mode.

Abstract
We report the results of a search for the rare, purely leptonic decay B^{-}→μ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ} performed with a 711 fb^{-1} data sample that contains 772×10^{6} BB[over ¯] pairs, collected near the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. The signal events are selected based on the presence of a high momentum muon and the topology of the rest of the event showing properties of a generic B-meson decay, as well as the missing energy and momentum being consistent with the hypothesis of a neutrino from the signal decay. We find a 2.4 standard deviation excess above background including systematic uncertainties, which corresponds to a branching fraction of B(B^{-}→μ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ})=(6.46±2.22±1.60)×10^{-7} or a frequentist 90% confidence level interval on the B^{-}→μ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ} branching fraction of [2.9,10.7]×10^{-7}.

Abstract
Extended results on the cosmic-ray electron + positron spectrum from 11 GeV to 4.8 TeV are presented based on observations with the Calorimetric Electron Telescope (CALET) on the International Space Station utilizing the data up to November 2017. The analysis uses the full detector acceptance at high energies, approximately doubling the statistics compared to the previous result. CALET is an all-calorimetric instrument with a total thickness of 30 X_{0} at normal incidence and fine imaging capability, designed to achieve large proton rejection and excellent energy resolution well into the TeV energy region. The observed energy spectrum in the region below 1 TeV shows good agreement with Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS-02) data. In the energy region below ∼300 GeV, CALET's spectral index is found to be consistent with the AMS-02, Fermi Large Area Telescope (Fermi-LAT), and Dark Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE), while from 300 to 600 GeV the spectrum is significantly softer than the spectra from the latter two experiments. The absolute flux of CALET is consistent with other experiments at around a few tens of GeV. However, it is lower than those of DAMPE and Fermi-LAT with the difference increasing up to several hundred GeV. The observed energy spectrum above ∼1 TeV suggests a flux suppression consistent within the errors with the results of DAMPE, while CALET does not observe any significant evidence for a narrow spectral feature in the energy region around 1.4 TeV. Our measured all-electron flux, including statistical errors and a detailed breakdown of the systematic errors, is tabulated in the Supplemental Material in order to allow more refined spectral analyses based on our data.

Abstract
We report the first evidence for isospin violation in B→K^{*}γ and the first measurement of the difference of CP asymmetries between B^{+}→K^{*+}γ and B^{0}→K^{*0}γ. This analysis is based on the data sample containing 772×10^{6}BB[over ¯] pairs that was collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric e^{+}e^{-} collider. We find evidence for the isospin violation with a significance of 3.1σ, Δ_{0+}=[+6.2±1.5(stat)±0.6(syst)±1.2(f_{+-}/f_{00})]%, where the third uncertainty is due to the uncertainty on the fraction of B^{+}B^{-} to B^{0}B[over ¯]^{0} production in ϒ(4S) decays. The measured value is consistent with predictions of the standard model. The result for the difference of CP asymmetries is ΔA_{CP}=[+2.4±2.8(stat)±0.5(syst)]%, consistent with zero. The measured branching fractions and CP asymmetries for charged and neutral B meson decays are the most precise to date. We also calculate the ratio of branching fractions of B^{0}→K^{*0}γ to B_{s}^{0}→ϕγ.

Abstract
First results of a cosmic-ray electron and positron spectrum from 10 GeV to 3 TeV is presented based upon observations with the CALET instrument on the International Space Station starting in October, 2015. Nearly a half million electron and positron events are included in the analysis. CALET is an all-calorimetric instrument with total vertical thickness of 30 X_{0} and a fine imaging capability designed to achieve a large proton rejection and excellent energy resolution well into the TeV energy region. The observed energy spectrum over 30 GeV can be fit with a single power law with a spectral index of -3.152±0.016 (stat+syst). Possible structure observed above 100 GeV requires further investigation with increased statistics and refined data analysis.

Abstract
We report a study of the decay D^{0}→K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0} using 921 fb^{-1} of data collected at or near the ϒ(4S) and ϒ(5S) resonances with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. The measured time-integrated CP asymmetry is A_{CP}(D^{0}→K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0})=(-0.02±1.53±0.02±0.17)%, and the branching fraction is B(D^{0}→K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0})=(1.321±0.023±0.036±0.044)×10^{-4}, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is due to the normalization mode (D^{0}→K_{S}^{0}π^{0}). These results are significantly more precise than previous measurements available for this mode. The A_{CP} measurement is consistent with the standard model expectation.

We report the first measurement of the τ lepton polarization P_{τ}(D^{*}) in the decay B[over ¯]→D^{*}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ} as well as a new measurement of the ratio of the branching fractions R(D^{*})=B(B[over ¯]→D^{*}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ})/B(B[over ¯]→D^{*}ℓ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{ℓ}), where ℓ^{-} denotes an electron or a muon, and the τ is reconstructed in the modes τ^{-}→π^{-}ν_{τ} and τ^{-}→ρ^{-}ν_{τ}. We use the full data sample of 772×10^{6} BB[over ¯] pairs recorded with the Belle detector at the KEKB electron-positron collider. Our results, P_{τ}(D^{*})=-0.38±0.51(stat)_{-0.16}^{+0.21}(syst) and R(D^{*})=0.270±0.035(stat)_{-0.025}^{+0.028}(syst), are consistent with the theoretical predictions of the standard model.

Abstract
Background Soft tissue sarcomas (STSs) overexpress vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGF) and VEGF-receptors (VEGFR) activation have been associated with tumor aggressiveness. Tivozanib is a potent small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor against VEGFR1-3, with activity against PDGFRα/β and cKIT. The primary endpoint of this study was progression free survival (PFS) rate at 16 weeks. Secondary end points were overall survival (OS), response rate, safety and correlative studies. Patients and methods A Simon two-stage phase II trial was performed using tivozanib given orally at 1.5 mg daily, 3 week on 1 week off on a 28 day cycle until disease progression or intolerable toxicity. Results Fifty-eight patients were enrolled and treated with tivozanib. Leiomyosarcoma was the most common STS histological type in our cohort (47%) and 27 patients (46%) had received at least 3 lines of therapy prior to study entry. Up to 24 patients (41%) had prior VEGF targeted therapies. Partial response and stable disease were observed in 2 (3.6%) and 30 (54.5%) patients. The 16 week PFS rate was 36.4% [95% confidence interval (CI) 23.7-49.1] and a median PFS of 3.5 months (95% CI 1.8-3). Median OS observed was 12.2 months (95% CI 8.1-16.8). The most frequent all grade toxicities were fatigue (48.3%), hypertension (43.1%), nausea (31%) and diarrhea (27.6%). The most common grade three toxicity was hypertension (22.4%). Correlative studies demonstrate no correlation between the expression of VEGFR 1, 2 or 3, PDGFRα/β or FGF, and activity of tivozanib. Conclusion Tivozanib was well tolerated and showed antitumor activity with a promising median PFS and PFS rate at 4 months in a heavily pretreated population of metastatic STSs. Our results support further studies to assess the clinical efficacy of tivozanib in STS. Clinical Trial Number NCT01782313.

Abstract
We report the first observation of the radiative charm decay D^{0}→ρ^{0}γ and the first search for CP violation in decays D^{0}→ρ^{0}γ, ϕγ, and K[over ¯]^{*0}(892)γ, using a data sample of 943 fb^{-1} collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. The branching fraction is measured to be B(D^{0}→ρ^{0}γ)=(1.77±0.30±0.07)×10^{-5}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The obtained CP asymmetries A_{CP}(D^{0}→ρ^{0}γ)=+0.056±0.152±0.006, A_{CP}(D^{0}→ϕγ)=-0.094±0.066±0.001, and A_{CP}(D^{0}→K[over ¯]^{*0}γ)=-0.003±0.020±0.000 are consistent with no CP violation. We also present an improved measurement of the branching fractions B(D^{0}→ϕγ)=(2.76±0.19±0.10)×10^{-5} and B(D^{0}→K[over ¯]^{*0}γ)=(4.66±0.21±0.21)×10^{-4}.

Abstract
Using data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider, we measure the energy dependence of the e^{+}e^{-}→h_{b}(nP)π^{+}π^{-} (n=1, 2) cross sections from thresholds up to 11.02 GeV. We find clear ϒ(10860) and ϒ(11020) peaks with little or no continuum contribution. We study the resonant substructure of the ϒ(11020)→h_{b}(nP)π^{+}π^{-} transitions and find evidence that they proceed entirely via the intermediate isovector states Z_{b}(10610) and Z_{b}(10650). The relative fraction of these states is loosely constrained by the current data: The hypothesis that only Z_{b}(10610) is produced is excluded at the level of 3.3 standard deviations, while the hypothesis that only Z_{b}(10650) is produced is not excluded at a significant level.

Abstract
We report the first observation of the decay Λ_{c}^{+}→pK^{+}π^{-} using a 980 fb^{-1} data sample collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^{+}e^{-} collider. This is the first observation of a doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay of a charmed baryon. We measure the branching ratio of this decay with respect to its Cabibbo-favored counterpart to be B(Λ_{c}^{+}→pK^{+}π^{-})/B(Λ_{c}^{+}→pK^{-}π^{+})=(2.35±0.27±0.21)×10^{-3}, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.

Abstract
We measure the decay B_{s}^{0}→K^{0}K[over ¯]^{0} using data collected at the ϒ(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e^{+}e^{-} collider. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 121.4 fb^{-1}. We measure a branching fraction B(B_{s}^{0}→K^{0}K[over ¯]^{0})=[19.6_{-5.1}^{+5.8}(stat)±1.0(syst)±2.0(N_{B_{s}^{0}B[over ¯]_{s}^{0}})]×10^{-6} with a significance of 5.1 standard deviations. This measurement constitutes the first observation of this decay.

Abstract
PURPOSE To investigate the efficacy of the combination of ultrasound-guided rectus sheath (RS) and transversus abdominis plane (TAP) blocks compared with TAP or RS block alone in gynecological single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS). MATERIALS AND METHODS Bilateral TAP blocks (Group A, n = 12), TAP and RS blocks (Group B, n = 12), and RS blocks (Group C, n = 12) with 40 ml ropivacaine/patient were performed for ovarian tumor SILS. The analgesic effects were evaluated using a numerical rating scale (NRS) at zero, six, 12, 24, and 48 hours post-surgery. RESULTS Umbilical pain on completion of general anesthesia was significantly less frequent in Group B (1/12) than Group A (7/12) (p = 0.03). The postoperative NRS scores were significantly lower in Group B than Group A at zero (p = 0.02) and six (p = 0.03) hours and Group C at zero (p = 0.001), six (p = 0.02), and 12 (p = 0.004) hours. CONCLUSION The combination of RS and TAP blocks reduced early postoperative pain compared with RS or TAP block alone for gynecological SILS.

Abstract
Using a sample of 771.6×10(6) ϒϒ(4S) decays collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider, we observe, for the first time, the transition ϒ(4S)→ηh(b)(1P) with the branching fraction B[ϒ(4S)→ηh(b)(1P)]=(2.18±0.11±0.18)×10(-3) and we measure the h(b)(1P) mass M(h(b)(1P))=(9899.3±0.4±1.0) MeV/c(2), corresponding to the hyperfine (HF) splitting ΔM(HF)(1P)=(0.6±0.4±1.0) MeV/c(2). Using the transition h(b)(1P)→γη(b)(1S), we measure the η(b)(1S) mass M(η(b)(1S))=(9400.7±1.7±1.6) MeV/c(2), corresponding to ΔM(HF)(1S)=(59.6±1.7±1.6) MeV/c(2), the η(b)(1S) width Γ(η(b)(1S))=(8(-5)(+6)±5) MeV/c(2) and the branching fraction B[h(b)(1P)→γη(b)(1S)]=(56±8±4)%.

Abstract
We report a measurement of the time-dependent CP asymmetry of B[over ¯]^{0}→D_{CP}^{(*)}h^{0} decays, where the light neutral hadron h^{0} is a π^{0}, η, or ω meson, and the neutral D meson is reconstructed in the CP eigenstates K^{+}K^{-}, K_{S}^{0}π^{0}, or K_{S}^{0}ω. The measurement is performed combining the final data samples collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance by the BABAR and Belle experiments at the asymmetric-energy B factories PEP-II at SLAC and KEKB at KEK, respectively. The data samples contain (471±3)×10^{6} BB[over ¯] pairs recorded by the BABAR detector and (772±11)×10^{6} BB[over ¯] pairs recorded by the Belle detector. We measure the CP asymmetry parameters -η_{f}S=+0.66±0.10(stat)±0.06(syst) and C=-0.02±0.07(stat)±0.03(syst). These results correspond to the first observation of CP violation in B[over ¯]^{0}→D_{CP}^{(*)}h^{0} decays. The hypothesis of no mixing-induced CP violation is excluded in these decays at the level of 5.4 standard deviations.

Abstract
We report the measurement of the direct CP asymmetry in the radiative B¯→X(s+dγ) decay using a data sample of (772 ± 11)×10(6) BB[over ¯] pairs collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The CP asymmetry is measured as a function of the photon energy threshold. For Eγ*≥2.1 GeV, where Eγ* is the photon energy in the center-of-mass frame, we obtain A(CP)(B¯→X(s+dγ))=(2.2±3.9±0.9)%, consistent with the standard model prediction.

Abstract
UNLABELLED Serum undercarboxylated osteocalcin (ucOC)/intact osteocalcin (iOC) ratio increased >1.0 in the patients undergoing hemodialysis, particularly in those with high bone turnover state. Consequently, serum ucOC/iOC ratio might lose its significance as a bone metabolic marker to indicate vitamin K deficiency in hemodialysis patients. INTRODUCTION Serum intact osteocalcin (iOC), undercarboxylated OC (ucOC), and the ucOC/iOC ratio are considered clinically relevant indices in pre-dialysis chronic kidney disease (CKD) and hemodialysis (HD) patients, despite their accumulation in uremic serum. METHODS Serum iOC and ucOC were measured along with serum intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH), bone alkaline phosphatase (BAP), and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRACP)-5b in 89 pre-dialysis CKD and 189 HD patients. RESULTS Serum iOC and ucOC showed significantly negative correlations with estimated glomerular filtration rate in pre-dialysis CKD patients, although serum ucOC/iOC ratio did not correlate. Serum ucOC was significantly greater in HD patients than in pre-dialysis CKD patients, while serum iOC did not differ significantly, resulting in serum ucOC/iOC ratio >1.0 in 135 (71.4%) out of 189 HD patients. HD patients with high serum ucOC/iOC ratio (>1.0) had a significantly younger age and significantly higher values of body mass index, serum creatinine, albumin, phosphate, iPTH, and TRACP-5b than those with low ucOC/iOC ratio (≤ 1.0). The baseline iPTH and P1NP correlated with the changes of the ucOC/iOC ratio during the 2 days of the inter-dialytic period. Multivariate analysis showed that log [ucOC/iOC] in HD patients was significantly associated with log [iPTH], log [BAP], or log [TRACP-5b]. CONCLUSIONS Serum ucOC/iOC ratio >1.0 was observed in as high as 71.4% of HD patients, preferentially with high bone turnover state, in comparison with pre-dialysis CKD patients. These data suggested that serum ucOC/iOC ratio might lose its significance as a bone metabolic marker to indicate vitamin K deficiency in HD patients.
