Abstract
Objective: To investigate and compare the histologic characteristics of adenocarcinomas with mesonephric features located in different parts of the gynecologic tract. Methods: Two cases of mesonephric adenocarcinomas (MA) of the cervix and 5 cases of mesonephric-like adenocarcinomas (MLA) of the uterus and ovary were collected in Women's Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University from January 2018 to October 2020. Hematoxylin-eosin staining, immunohistochemistry and KRAS mutation testing were performed together with review of literature. Results: MA of the cervix as well as MLA of the uterus and ovary had similar morphologic features, showing an admixture of glandular, tubular, papillary and solid growth patterns. However, both MA cases were located in cervical stroma, which demonstrated residual mesonephric ducts present at the periphery. All four uterine MLA cases extensively involved the endometrium and myometrium. The ovarian MLA case was associated with endometriosis. No residual mesonephric ducts were present in the MLA cases. Immunohistochemically, GATA3 was positive in all seven MA/MLA cases. TTF1 was expressed only in 4/5 MLA cases. ER and PR were negative and p53 was wild-type in all cases. KRAS mutation was detected in all five cases. During the 6-32 months of follow-up, one patient developed recurrence and the others were tumor-free. Conclusions: In the gynecologic tract, both MA in cervix and MLA in uterus and ovary have similar morphologic features, immunohistochemical expression and KRAS mutation. However, distinct from MA that originates from mesonephric remnant, MLA is closely related to Mullerian epithelium.

Xin BR, Li P, Liu XL, Zhang XF. Visfatin relieves myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury through activation of PI3K/Akt/HSP70 signaling axis. EUROPEAN REVIEW FOR MEDICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL SCIENCES 2021; 24:10779-10789. Abstract
OBJECTIVE Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) is the most common complication of ischemic cardiomyopathy, which severely affects the prognosis of patients. The purpose of this study was to investigate the protective effects of visfatin on the myocardium after ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) and its mechanism. MATERIALS AND METHODS Sprague Dawley rats were used to construct the MIRI model and visfatin was administrated intraperitoneally in rats to determine the protective effect of visfatin on myocardium after I/R. In addition, visfatin was used to treat rat myocardial cell line H9c2 cells and detect its effect on H9c2 cells. The effect of visfatin on the PI3K/Akt/HSP70 signaling axis in H9c2 cells was also detected to determine the mechanism of the myocardial protection of visfatin. RESULTS The damage of cardiomyocytes in MIRI rats pretreated with visfatin was significantly improved compared with untreated MIRI rats. Visfatin also reduced the level of inflammation and apoptosis of cardiomyocytes in MIRI rats, reduced myocardial injury markers, and improved cardiac function. In vitro, visfatin also reduced inflammatory and apoptotic factors in H9c2 cells. In addition, visfatin also promoted the activity of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway and increased HSP70 expression in H9c2 cells. The inhibition of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway was found to attenuate the promotion of HSP70 by visfatin. SiRNA-HSP70 also attenuated the protective effect of visfatin on H9c2 cells. CONCLUSIONS Visfatin reduces the inflammation and apoptosis levels of myocardial cells through the PI3K/Akt/HSP70 signaling axis, thereby reducing I/R-induced myocardial injury.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to explore the correlation between circRNA-100876 and the clinicopathological parameters of patients with colorectal cancer (Cc). PATIENTS AND METHODS Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) was applied to detect the circRNA-100876 expression in Cc tissues and cell lines. Overall survival analysis was carried out to explore the correlation between circRNA-100876 and the prognosis of Cc patients by Kaplan-Meier method and Log-rank method. Subsequently, Chi-square test was used to investigate the clinical significance of circRNA-100876 in the clinicopathological parameters of Cc patients. Moreover, the expression of circRNA-100876 was inhibited by small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) in loss-of-function assay. Finally, the invasion ability of Cc cells was determined by transwell assay. RESULTS The results of this study manifested that circRNA-100876 was abnormally overexpressed in Cc tissues and cell lines, and the high expression of circRNA-100876 was clearly associated with the Clinical stage, T classification and Lymph node metastasis of Cc patients. Besides, Cc patients with high expression worsened overall survival. In addition, it was demonstrated that the inhibition of circRNA-100876 reduced the invasion ability of Cc cells. CONCLUSIONS Acting as a tumor promoter, circRNA-100876 might be regarded as a new potential biomarker for the diagnosis and therapy of Cc.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the relationship between daily tea intake and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality. Methods: PubMed, EMbase, The Cochrane, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, CNKI, and Wanfang Database were searched to collect research on tea intake and CVD mortality. The search period was from the establishment of the database to June 2020. Two researchers independently screened and extracted literature. The risk of bias was evaluated in the included studies, a dose-response meta-analysis was conducted, sensitivity analysis and publication bias analysis of the research results, and quality evaluation of the included literature and GRADE classification of the evidence body were performed. Results: A total of 21 cohort or case-control studies were included, including 1 304 978 subjects. Among them, 38 222 deaths from CVD were reported. The quality scores of the included studies were all ≥ 6 points. The dose-response meta-analysis showed that for every additional cup of tea intake per day, the mortality rate of CVD decreased by about 3% (95%CI 0.95-0.98, P<0.05), and there was a non-linear dose-response relationship (P<0.05). Compared with people who do not drink tea, people who drink 1 to 8 cups of tea a day have 8% lower CVD mortality (RR=0.92, 95%CI 0.89-0.95), 13% (RR=0.87, 95 %CI 0.84-0.91), 15% (RR=0.85, 95%CI 0.82-0.89), 15% (RR=0.85, 95%CI 0.81-0.89), 16% (RR=0.84, 95%CI 0.80-0.89), 16% (RR=0.84, 95%CI 0.81-0.88), 16% (RR=0.84, 95%CI 0.81-0.87), 16% (RR=0.84, 95%CI 0.80-0.88), respectively. The results of traditional meta-analysis showed that compared with people who do not drink tea, people who drink more than 1 cup of tea a day are associated with 14% lower CVD mortality rate (RR=0.86, 95%CI 0.81-0.91, I2=73.2%, P<0.05). The results of subgroup analysis showed that compared with the corresponding people who did not drink tea, men who drank more than 1 cup of tea a day reduced the CVD mortality rate by 24%, women by 14%, European and American populations by 12%, and Asian populations by 15%. The population who consumed green tea decreased CVD mortality by 15%, and the population of non-smokers decreased CVD mortality by 20% (all P<0.05). The population who consumed black tea decreased CVD mortality by 8%, and the smoking population who consumed black tea decreased CVD mortality by 3%, and the difference was not statistically significant (all P>0.05). The results of the bias analysis showed that Begg=0.42 and Egger=0.62, indicating that the distribution on both sides of the funnel chart is symmetrical, suggesting that there is no publication bias. The results of sensitivity analysis showed that the effect size of the outcome index did not change significantly after excluding any article, indicating that the results are robust and credible. The GRADE evaluation showed that the evidence grades of the outcome indicators were all low grade. Conclusions: Daily tea consumption is related to reduced CVD mortality. It is therefore recommended to drink an appropriate amount of tea daily.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of long non-coding ribonucleic acid (lncRNA)-bladder cancer associated transcript 1 (BLACAT1) on the drug resistance of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells in cisplatin (DDP) chemotherapy by regulating the expression of Cyclin D1. MATERIALS AND METHODS The analysis of the lncRNA expression profiles in 483 cases of NSCLC tissues and 347 cases of cancer-adjacent tissues in Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database revealed that lncRNA-BLACAT1 was differentially expressed in NSCLC and related to prognosis. In order to further study its mechanism of action on DDP-resistant cells, the expression level of lncRNA-BLACAT1 in normal human lung bronchial epithelial cell line BEAS-2B, NSCLC cell line A549, and DDP-resistant cell line A549 (A549/DDP) was detected by quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR). LncRNA-BLACAT1 small interfering RNA (siRNA) (si-BLACAT1) and lncRNA-BLACAT1 negative control (si-NC) were transfected into A549/DPP cells. Then, qPCR was carried out to detect the changes in the expression of lncRNA-BLACAT1 before and after transfection. Thereafter, cell cycle and cell growth rate were detected by flow cytometry and the cell growth curve. Besides, the changes in cell migration, cell apoptosis, and Cyclin D1 were detected via wound healing assay, flow cytometry, and Western blotting (WB). RESULTS In GEO database, lncRNA-BLACAT1 was significantly overexpressed in NSCLC (p<0.05), and the prognosis of NSCLC in BLACAT1 low-expression group was better than that in the BLACAT1 high-expression group (p<0.0001). Compared with that in BEAS-2B cells, BLACAT messenger RNA (mRNA) was notably highly expressed in A549 cells (p<0.05), and compared with that in A549 cells, BLACAT1 mRNA in A549/DPP was significantly highly expressed in A549/DDP cells (p<0.05). Additionally, in comparison with that in the si-NC group, the content of lncRNA-BLACAT1 in si-BLACAT1 group was remarkably decreased (p<0.01). Moreover, flow cytometry detection of cell cycle revealed that compared with those in si-NC group, G0/G1 phase was markedly prolonged and S phase was shortened in si-BLACAT1 group. MTS assay manifested that the absorbance at 450 nm in si-BLACAT1 group was evidently decreased on the 3rd day compared with that in the si-NC group (p<0.05), and the difference between the two groups was the most significant on the 5th day (p<0.001). According to wound healing assay, compared with those in si-NC group, the distance between cells became larger, the cell migration ability was remarkably weakened (p<0.05), and cell apoptosis was prominently reduced in si-BLACAT1 group (p<0.05). WB results showed that compared with si-NC group, si-BLACAT1 group had significantly reduced Cyclin D1 (p<0.05) CONCLUSIONS: LncRNA-BLACAT1 regulates the expression of Cyclin D1, reduces the malignant phenotype of drug-resistant cells, and increases the sensitivity of lung cancer cells to DDP.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE As the fourth most common malignant tumor with high mortality rate, gastric cancer (GC) seriously threatens people's health and life quality worldwide. The aim of this study was to explore the functional role of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) BCAR4 in GC. PATIENTS AND METHODS Quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR) assay was used to detect the expression level of lncRNA BCAR4 in GC cell lines and tissues. Subsequently, cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay, colony formation assay, and flow cytometry were recruited to investigate the role of lncRNA BCAR4 in the proliferation and apoptosis of GC cells, respectively. Western blotting was used to detect the protein expression level of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)/extracellular-signal-regulated kinase (ERK) in GC. Besides, tumor formation assay was applied to examine the ability of lncRNA BCAR4 in vivo. RESULTS LncRNA BCAR4 was highly expressed in both GC tissues and cell lines. CCK-8 assay, colony formation assay, and flow cytometry results indicated that up-regulated lncRNA BCAR4 significantly promoted cell proliferation and suppressed cell apoptosis in GC. Besides, over-expression of lncRNA BCAR4 could activate the MAPK/ERK signaling pathways. Tumor xenograft formation assay demonstrated that over-expression of lncRNA BCAR4 promoted tumor formation in vivo. CONCLUSIONS LncRNA BCAR4 was proved significantly up-regulated in GC. Over-expression of lncRNA BCAR4 promoted cell proliferation and suppressed cell apoptosis in vitro and promoted tumor formation in vivo. Besides, Western blotting revealed that lncRNA BCAR4 played an oncogenic role in GC via regulating MAPK/ERK signaling.

Abstract
We studied the correlations between egg geometrical parameters (i.e., egg shape index, sphericity, geometric mean diameter, surface area, and volume) and eggshell qualities, or the organic matrix in eggshell. Eggs were collected from 5 poultry breeds belonging to 3 species (commercial Hy-line Brown Chicken, Shaoxing Duck, Jinding Duck, Taihu Goose, and Zhedong White Goose). The geometrical parameters showed high variation among 3 species of poultry, and even between breeds in the same species. The five geometrical parameters were grouped into 2 sets, one contained shape index and sphericity, the other comprised geometric mean diameter, surface area, and volume. The parameters in the same set can be perfectly fitted to one another. Egg weight, shell membrane weight, and calcified shell weight were significantly correlated with geometric mean diameter, surface area, and volume. In accordance with false discovery rate-adjusted P value, both shell membrane relative weight and calcified shell thickness showed no significant correlations with any of the geometrical parameters. However, the correlations between geometrical parameters and other shell variables (calcified shell weight, shell relative weight, calcified shell thickness uniformity, and eggshell breaking strength) depend on breed. Both constitutive proportions and percentage contents of 3 eggshell matrix components (acid-insoluble, water-insoluble, and both acid and water facultative-soluble matrix) had no effects on egg shape and size. The correlations between the amounts of various shell matrix, egg shape and size depend on breed or species. This study provides a methodology and the correlation between geometrical parameters and eggshell qualities, and between geometrical parameters and organic matrix components in calcified shells.

Abstract
Objective: Surgical site infection (SSI) can markedly prolong postoperative hospital stay, aggravate the burden on patients and society, even endanger the life of patients. This study aims to investigate the national incidence of SSI following abdominal surgery and to analyze the related risk factors in order to provide reference for the control and prevention of SSI following abdominal surgery. Methods: A multicenter cross-sectional study was conducted. Clinical data of all the adult patients undergoing abdominal surgery in 68 hospitals across the country from June 1 to 30, 2020 were collected, including demographic characteristics, clinical parameters during the perioperative period, and the results of microbial culture of infected incisions. The primary outcome was the incidence of SSI within postoperative 30 days, and the secondary outcomes were ICU stay, postoperative hospital stay, cost of hospitalization and the mortality within postoperative 30-day. Multivariable logistic regression was used to analyze risk factors of SSI after abdominal surgery. Results: A total of 5560 patients undergoing abdominal surgery were included, and 163 cases (2.9%) developed SSI after surgery, including 98 cases (60.1%) with organ/space infections, 19 cases (11.7%) with deep incisional infections, and 46 cases (28.2%) with superficial incisional infections. The results from microbial culture showed that Escherichia coli was the main pathogen of SSI. Multivariate analysis revealed hypertension (OR=1.792, 95% CI: 1.194-2.687, P=0.005), small intestine as surgical site (OR=6.911, 95% CI: 1.846-25.878, P=0.004), surgical duration (OR=1.002, 95% CI: 1.001-1.003, P<0.001), and surgical incision grade (contaminated incision: OR=3.212, 95% CI: 1.495-6.903, P=0.003; Infection incision: OR=11.562, 95%CI: 3.777-35.391, P<0.001) were risk factors for SSI, while laparoscopic or robotic surgery (OR=0.564, 95%CI: 0.376-0.846, P=0.006) and increased preoperative albumin level (OR=0.920, 95%CI: 0.888-0.952, P<0.001) were protective factors for SSI. In addition, as compared to non-SSI patients, the SSI patients had significantly higher rate of ICU stay [26.4% (43/163) vs. 9.5% (514/5397), χ(2)=54.999, P<0.001] and mortality within postoperative 30-day [1.84% (3/163) vs.0.01% (5/5397), χ(2)=33.642, P<0.001], longer ICU stay (median: 0 vs. 0, U=518 414, P<0.001), postoperative hospital stay (median: 17 days vs. 7 days, U=656 386, P<0.001), and total duration of hospitalization (median: 25 days vs. 12 days, U=648 129, P<0.001), and higher hospitalization costs (median: 71 000 yuan vs. 39 000 yuan, U=557 966, P<0.001). Conclusions: The incidence of SSI after abdominal surgery is 2.9%. In order to reduce the incidence of postoperative SSI, hypoproteinemia should be corrected before surgery, laparoscopic or robotic surgery should be selected when feasible, and the operating time should be minimized. More attentions should be paid and nursing should be strengthened for those patients with hypertension, small bowel surgery and seriously contaminated incision during the perioperative period.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical outcomes and radiographic results of artificial cervical disc replacement (ACDR) for cervical adjacent segment disease (ASD). Methods: The clinical data of 28 patients with single-segment cervical ASD treated with ACDR in Xi 'an Honghui Hospital from December 2013 to July 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 19 males and 9 females with a mean age of (46±7) years (36-63 years). Preoperative, postoperative 1 month and postoperative 24 months of clinical and radiographic outcomes were recorded and compared. The clinical outcome mainly includes Japanese orthopedic association (JOA), Neck Disability Index (NDI%), Odom score and complications. Imaging assessment mainly included range of motion (ROM) of cervical spine, surgical segment ROM, Cobb angle of surgical segment, degree of adjacent disc degeneration, heterotopic ossification, and prosthesis related image parameters. Results: In terms of clinical outcome, the average JOA score was 12.7±1.5 before surgery, 14.0±1.0 one month after surgery, 15.8±0.9 24 months after surgery, and the improvement rate of JOA was 75%±19%. The mean NDI% was 27.0%±2.8% before surgery, 20.5%±1.6% one month after surgery, and 15.3%±2.8% 24 months after surgery; the difference before and after treatment was statistically significant (F=159.101, P<0.01). Twenty patients were classified with excellent Odom score and 8 patients with good Odom score at the final follow-up. The total ROM of cervical spine, operation segment ROM, operation segment Cobb angle were all improved significantly after the operation (F=4.633, 6.063, 26.952, all P<0.05). There was a statistical difference in Miyazaki classification between adjacent discs above ACDR and below the fusion segment 24 months after surgery (μ(c)=2.12, P=0.034). The incidence of heterotopic ossification was 14.3%. The results of displacement degree of prosthesis were as follow: coronal plane (0.30±0.11) mm, sagittal plane (0.28±0.10) mm; subsidence of the prosthesis: (0.27±0.09) mm. No prosthesis loosening was observed. Conclusions: The clinical outcome of revision of cervical ASD by ACDR is satisfactory. The risk of intervertebral disc degeneration in adjacent segments is significantly lower than that of ACDF due to the presence of certain motor function postoperatively.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To uncover the role of microvesicle-containing (MV-containing) miRNA-153-3p in inducing the apoptosis of proximal tubular epithelial cells and RIF (renal interstitial fibrosis), and its potential mechanism. MATERIALS AND METHODS Mice were subjected to unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) to establish the in vivo RIF model. MVs were extracted from the obstructed kidney tissues of mice, to further isolate the RNAs. MiRNA-153-3p levels in RIF mice and MVs were determined. In vitro RIF model was constructed by TGF-β1 induction in NRK-52E and NRK-49F cells. The regulatory effect of miRNA-153-3p on the apoptosis of tubular epithelial cells was examined. Subsequently, potential target gene of miRNA-153-3p was predicted and identified. Rescue experiments were finally carried out to uncover the role of miRNA-153-3p/Bcl-2 in influencing RIF. RESULTS MiRNA-153-3p was upregulated in mice undergoing UUO, MVs extracted from obstructed kidney tissues of mice and TGF-β1-induced NRK-52E and NRK-49F cells. The overexpression of miRNA-153-3p remarkably induced apoptosis in tubular epithelial cells. Bcl-2 was verified to be the target gene of miRNA-153-3p, and the Bcl-2 level was negatively regulated by miRNA-153-3p. Overexpression of Bcl-2 reversed the effect of miRNA-153-3p on inducing cell apoptosis. CONCLUSIONS MV-containing miRNA-153-3p released by tubulointerstitial fibroblasts transmits to the proximal tubular epithelial cells via the damaged tubule basement membrane. It induces the apoptosis of proximal tubular epithelial cells by inhibiting Bcl-2 level and further aggravates RIF.

Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation between 4 tag single nucleotide polymorphisms (Tag SNP) sites (rs7721799, rs32897, rs7718461, rs10062367) of corticotropin releasing hormone binding protein (CRHBP) and schizophrenia and aggressive behavior in the Yunnan Han population. Methods Case-control correlation analysis was used to establish a complex amplification system. Improved multiplex ligase detection reaction (iMLDR) technology was used to detect the genotypes of 4 SNP sites of CRHBP gene of 163 Han schizophrenic patients (including 81 patients with aggressive behavior, 82 patients without aggressive behavior) and 345 healthy Han individuals, which were analyzed statistically by SPSS 19.0, Haploview 4.2 and PHASE 2.1 software. Results There was no correlation between the 3 SNP sites of CRHBP gene and the onset of schizophrenia except for the rs7718461 site (P>0.05). The relative risk of aggressive behavior of patients carrying GG or GA genotype at rs7718461 site were 4.903 times higher than those carrying AA genotype (P<0.05). Conclusion The CRHBP gene may not be associated with the occurrence of schizophrenia in Yunnan Han population, but AA genotype of rs7718461 may reduce the risk of aggressive behavior in schizophrenia patients.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the feasibility and safety of minimally invasive surfactant administration (MISA) in preterm neonates with respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS). Methods: In this multicenter prospective randomized controlled trial, 92 preterm infants with gestation age ≤30 weeks and diagnosed with NRDS were enrolled in 8 level Ⅲ neonatal intensive care units (NICU) in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region from 1(st) July 2017 to 31(st) December 2018. They were randomly assigned to minimally invasive surfactant administration (MISA) group or endotracheal intubation surfactant administration (EISA) group according to random number generated by computer. Infants in both groups received calf pulmonary surfactant preparation at a dose of 70-100 mg/kg. The data of demography, perinatal situation, medication administration, complications, clinical outcomes in the two groups were compared with Chi-square test, Student's t-test, Mann-Whitney U test or Fisher's exact test. Results: Among the 92 preterm infants, 53 were males, 39 were females; 47 were in the MISA group (25 males), and 45 were in the EISA group (28 males). The gestational age and birth weight were (29.5±1.2) weeks and (1 271±242) g in all patients, (29.5±1.4) weeks and (1 285±256) g in the MISA group, and (29.6±0.9) weeks and (1 255±227) g in the EISA group. The duration of surfactant infusion and the length of whole procedure in the MISA group were significantly longer than that in the EISA group (60 (18, 270) s vs. 50 (30, 60) s, Z=3.009, P=0.003; 90 (60, 300) s vs. 60 (44, 270) s, Z=3.365, P=0.001). For the outcomes, the incidence of hemodynamically significant patent ductus arteriosus (hsPDA) and bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) were lower in the MISA group than in the EISA group (36% (17/47) vs. 67% (30/45), χ(2)=8.556, P=0.003; 26% (12/47) vs. 47% (21/45), χ(2)=4.464, P=0.035). Conclusions: Minimally invasive surfactant administration is applicable in preterm infants ≤30 weeks gestational age with NRDS. Although the length of whole procedure is longer than route endotracheal administration, the benefit of decreasing the incidences of hsPDA and BPD outweighs this demerit.

Abstract
Flaxseed cake (FSC) is a potential alternative feed source in poultry. However, cyanogenetic glycosides limit its widespread use in feed. In this study, we optimized the parameters of fermentation by Aspergillus niger and Candida utilis and compared the growth performance, serum lipid parameters, and organ indexes of Cherry Valley duckling feed with unfermented FSC (UFSC) or fermented FSC (FFSC). A total of 420 one-day-old male Cherry Valley ducklings were randomly assigned into a 1 plus 2 × 3 factorial design including 2 different FSC resources (UFSC and FFSC) at 3 levels (50, 100, or 150 g/kg) for 3 wk. Each treatment group included 6 pens with 10 ducklings per pen. The hydrocyanic acid (HCN) level was reduced under the following conditions: 1:0.8 FSC:water (w:v), inoculum ratio of 1 mL:1 mL, 30°C, and 60 h. FFSC had higher crude protein (CP) and calcium (Ca) levels and lower HCN levels compared with UFSC (P < 0.05). There was no interactive effect between FSC sources and levels on growth performance. Final body weight (FBW), average daily feed intake (ADFI), and average daily gain (ADG) in UFSC groups and ADFI in FFSC groups decreased linearly with increasing FSC levels (P < 0.01). There were no differences in FBW, ADG, or feed:gain ratio (F/G) among FFSC groups, and all 7 FSC groups had no differences in the F/G ratio (P > 0.05). Dietary FSC supplementation decreased triglyceride (TG) (P < 0.01), total cholesterol (TC) (P < 0.01), high-density lipoprotein (HDL) (P = 0.01), and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) (P < 0.01). No interactive effect between FSC levels and sources was observed for serum TG, TC, HDL, or LDL. Ducklings fed FFSC had lower TG (P < 0.01), TC (P = 0.05), and LDL (P < 0.01) levels compared with ducklings fed UFSC. The 150 g/kg FFSC group had the lowest TG, TC, HDL, and LDL levels among all 7 groups. Flaxseed cake supplementation decreased the relative weight of the left breast, but FFSC increased the relative weight of the gizzard compared with UFSC. In conclusion, fermentation could increase the nutritional value and usage of FSC in ducklings.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the dynamics changes of the myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and regulatory T (Treg) cells in mice infected with Echinococcus granulosus and explore the possible biological significance. METHODS Thirty female BALB/c mice of 6 weeks old were randomly divided into the infection and control groups, of 15 mice in each group. Mice in the infection group were intraperitoneally injected with 2 000 E. granulosus protoscoleces, while those in the control group were injected with the same volume of physiological saline. Mouse liver white blood cells were harvested 3 (early stage), 6 (medium stage) and 12 months (late stage) post-infection, and the proportions of MDSCs, their subpopulations (M-MDSCs and PMN-MDSCs) and Treg cells were assessed by flow cytometry. RESULTS The proportions of MDSCs were (1.61 ± 0.36)%, (5.68 ± 0.69)% and (16.18 ± 0.69)% in mouse liver white blood cells in the infection group 3, 6 and 12 months post-infection with E. granulosus, and (2.19 ± 0.42)%, (0.99 ± 0.07) % and (4.18 ± 0.84)% in the control group, and there were significant differences in the proportion of the MDSCs in mouse liver white blood cells between the infection and control groups 6 and 12 months post-infection (P < 0.01). The proportions of M-MDSCs were (0.69 ± 0.27)%, (5.30 ± 0.72)% and (10.75 ± 0.29)% in mouse liver white blood cells in the infection group 3, 6 and 12 months post-infection, and (0.42 ± 0.24)%, (0.69 ± 0.02)% and (2.12 ± 0.13)% in the control group, and there were significant differences in the proportion of the M-MDSCs in the mouse liver white blood cells between the infection and control groups 6 and 12 months post-infection (P < 0.01). The proportions of PMN-MDSCs were (0.93 ± 0.23)%, (0.32 ± 0.02)% and (5.14 ± 1.03)% in mouse liver white blood cells in the infection group 3, 6 and 12 months post-infection, and (1.77 ± 0.26)%, (0.28 ± 0.05)% and (1.99 ± 0.90)% in the control group, and there were significant differences in the proportion of PMN-MDSCs in mouse liver white blood cells between the infection and control groups 3 and 12 months post-infection (P < 0.05). The proportions of Treg cells were (3.35 ± 0.14)%, (6.24 ± 0.38)% and (3.41 ± 0.07)% in mouse liver white blood cells in the infection group 3, 6 and 12 months post-infection, and (3.48 ± 0.46)%, (3.65 ± 0.45)% and (3.12 ± 0.12)% in the control group, and there were significant differences in the proportion of Treg cells in mouse liver white blood cells between the infection and control groups 6 and 12 months post-infection (P < 0.01). CONCLUSIONS The percentages of both MDSCs and Treg cells increase in mouse liver white blood cells 6 and 12 months post-infection with E. granulosus, and a more remarkable increase is seen in the percentage of MDSCs, which is mainly found in M-MDSCs. These findings suggest that M-MDSCs may play a major immunosuppressive role in the medium and late stages of E. granulosus infection in mice.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE LncRNAs participate in the proliferation, apoptosis, and invasion of colorectal cancer. We aimed at investigating the uncovered effect of lncRNALUADT1 on colorectal cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS The relative expression level of lncRNALUADT1 in tumor specimen was tested by Real-time quantitative PCR. The association of lncRNALUADT1 with clinical pathological data was analyzed by univariate, multivariate Cox and Kaplan-Meier curve. RESULTS LncRNALUADT1 expression was up-regulated in colorectal cancer, and correlated with tumor size, metastasis, and TNM staging. Both univariate analysis and multivariate test indicated that lncRNALUADT1 high expression, TNM staging, and lymph node metastasis were closely related. Moreover, high expression of lncRNALUADT1 suggested the poor overall survival of patients. CONCLUSIONS LncRNA LUADT1 might contribute to the development of colorectal cancer.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the cost-utility of different immunization strategies for rabies in China, and to provide a reference for determining the optimal immunization strategy. Methods: The system dynamics model was used to simulate the epidemic of canine rabies and a decision tree model was conducted to analysis different immune strategies. Relevant probabilities were obtained through literature search and on-site investigation. Sensitivity analysis was used to explore the important influenced factors. Results: At baseline, from a social perspective, 70% vaccination of dogs was the optimal strategy compared to current vaccination strategy (43% vaccination in dogs, human category-Ⅱ exposure vaccination/category-Ⅲ exposure vaccination combined with RIG). The total cost was 14 084 354 CNY, and the total utility value was 22 078 616.23 QALYs, and the incremental cost-utility ratio was-62 148 147 CNY/QALY; if human vaccination was considered, 55% vaccination of dogs combined with strategy one was the optimal strategy, its incremental cost-utility ratio was-444 620 557 CNY/QALY. The probability that an injured dog carries rabies virus was the most sensitive parameter. When it was greater than 0.005 03, strategy four was the optimal strategy. When it was less than 82/100 000, strategy one was the optimal strategy; when it was between 82/100 000 and 120/100 000, strategy two was the optimal strategy; when it was between 120/100 000 and 503/100 000, strategy two was the optimal strategy. Conclusion: It was conducive to increase the vaccination coverage of canine for the prevention and control of rabies.

Abstract
This Letter reports the first extraction of individual antineutrino spectra from ^{235}U and ^{239}Pu fission and an improved measurement of the prompt energy spectrum of reactor antineutrinos at Daya Bay. The analysis uses 3.5×10^{6} inverse beta-decay candidates in four near antineutrino detectors in 1958 days. The individual antineutrino spectra of the two dominant isotopes, ^{235}U and ^{239}Pu, are extracted using the evolution of the prompt spectrum as a function of the isotope fission fractions. In the energy window of 4-6 MeV, a 7% (9%) excess of events is observed for the ^{235}U (^{239}Pu) spectrum compared with the normalized Huber-Mueller model prediction. The significance of discrepancy is 4.0σ for ^{235}U spectral shape compared with the Huber-Mueller model prediction. The shape of the measured inverse beta-decay prompt energy spectrum disagrees with the prediction of the Huber-Mueller model at 5.3σ. In the energy range of 4-6 MeV, a maximal local discrepancy of 6.3σ is observed.

Abstract
Background Gemcitabine (2′,2′-difluoro-2′-deoxycytidine;dFdC) is a first-line chemotherapy drug for pancreatic cancer. Recently, a synergistic anti-tumor treatment of dFdC and hyperthermia has achieved good clinical results, but there are few reports on the molecular mechanism influenced by hyperthermia. This study is an initial exploration of the effects of hyperthermia on changes in the concentration of dFdC and its metabolites in pancreatic cancer cells. The aim is to provide a theoretical basis for clinical detection and pharmacokinetic research. Methods PANC-1 cells at logarithmic growth phase were used as the experimental object. The MTT assay was performed to determine the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of dFdC. After PANC-1 cells were cultured in DMEM medium containing IC50dFdC and treated with hyperthermia at 41 °C or 43 °C, changes in the concentration of dFdC, 2′,2′-difluorodeoxyuridine (dFdU) and difluorodeoxycytidine triphosphate (dFdCTP) in the cells were tested using an optimized reverse phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) protocol. Results We found that 41 °C and 43 °Chyperthermia gave rise to a decrease in dFdC and dFdU content. At 41 °C, the levels respectively fell to 9.28 and 30.93% of the baseline, and at 43 °C, to 24.76 and 57.80%, respectively. The dFdCTP content increased by 21.82% at 41 °C and 42.42% at 43 °C. Conclusion The two heat treatments could alter the mechanism of dFdC metabolism in PANC-1 cells. The effect of 43 °C hyperthermia is more significant. Our observations may be instrumental to explaining the higher anti-tumor efficacy of this combination therapy.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To elucidate the potential effects of Coiled coil domain-containing 3 (CCDC3) on proliferative, migratory, invasive potentials and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of human cervical cancer cells. MATERIALS AND METHODS Protein and mRNA levels of CCDC3 in C33 and HeLa cells were determined by quantitative Real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blot, respectively. Proliferative capacity and clonality of C33 and HeLa cells transfected with sh-CCDC3 were evaluated by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and colony formation assay, respectively. Transwell assay and wound healing assay were conducted to determine the invasive and migratory potentials of cervical cancer cells with CCDC3 knockdown. Protein expressions of EMT-related genes in C33 and HeLa cells with CCDC3 knockdown were determined by Western blot. RESULTS Transfection of sh-CCDC3 in C33 and HeLa cells markedly inhibited CCDC3 expression compared with those transfected with sh-EGFP. CCDC3 knockdown remarkably attenuated proliferative, migratory and invasive capacities. Moreover, CCDC3 knockdown inhibited protein levels of EMT-related genes in C33 and HeLa cells. CONCLUSIONS Low expression of CCDC3 attenuated proliferative, migratory, invasive potentials and EMT of cervical cancer cells. Hence, CCDC3 may be utilized as a novel therapeutic target for cervical cancer.

Abstract
The image super-resolution (SR) reconstruction technology based on the micro-scanning system is one of the best methods for realizing high-resolution infrared imaging. Thus, in this work, we first present a frequency domain phase-based projection onto convex sets SR reconstruction algorithm. This method takes advantage of the texture details and contrast-independent feature of the phase information in the frequency domain and can be used to realize image denoising and SR reconstruction for the infrared image simultaneously. We also propose the use of an image quality assessment metric based on the frequency domain phase spectrum. Second, we design and realize an infrared micro-scanning optical system to obtain sub-pixel low-resolution images for SR reconstruction. The infrared micro-scanning optical system we constructed can realize controllable sub-pixel micro-scanning of an arbitrary step size. Furthermore, we can realize sub-pixel low-resolution image collection by moving two light and compact pieces instead of moving the entire lens, sensor array, or sample-as in the traditional method. Thus, the precision of the sub-pixel movements can be greatly improved. Using our proposed algorithm and infrared micro-scanning optical system, we realize infrared SR imaging in both simulations and experiments.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the association between milk intake at breakfast and nutritional status of students attending the Nutrition Improvement Program for Rural Compulsory Education Students (NIPRCES) in 2016, and to provide basic data for improving the nutritional status of the poor rural pupils. Methods: Using the multi-stage stratified random cluster sampling method, 22 315 students from grade three to nine from primary and junior high schools were randomly selected from the 50 key counties under the monitor programs, in 22 provinces of NNIPRCS. Questionnaire was used. Among all the students, with equal number of genders, morning fasting height and weight were measured by trained investigators. Status of nutrition was classified as malnutrition, normal, overweight/obesity, by age-specific height and BMI. Multivariate linear and logistic regression methods were used to analyze the relationship between milk consumption and the status of nutrition of the students. Results: Only 31.4% of the students that were on the monitoring programs would drink milk at breakfast. Proportions of milk intake at breakfast were higher in students from the western regions, in lower grades and in girls (P<0.05). The proportions of malnutrition and overweight/obesity were 11.0% and 10.0% respectively. After controlling factors as gender, age, ethnicity, region of residency and types of parental employment, students who drank milk at breakfast showed an average height of 0.4 cm taller than those who did not drink milk (P=0.001). However, no significant relationships were noticed between milk intake at breakfast and weight, malnutrition or overweight/obesity. Conclusion: Milk intake at breakfast seemed associated with the height of the students under study, suggesting that this program can be promoted, especially in students from the poor rural areas.
