Abstract
Objective: To establish a triple-color pseudovirion-based neutralization assay (PBNA) and evaluate its capability of detecting immunogenicity of the sera generated by the immunization of HPV 9-valent vaccine. Methods: HPV pseudovirus (PsVs) 6/11/16/18/31/33/45/52/58 with the encapsidated fluorescence expressing red fluorescent plasmid N31-MCHREEY, green fluorescent N31-EGFP or blue fluorescent N31-mTagBFP were generated. The concentration of HPV PsVs and the infection titers of HPV PsVs were detected by double-antibody sandwich ELISA and TCID(50), respectively. The single- and triple color HPV 16/33/45 PsVs were used to detect the neutralization titers of mice sera immunized with HPV 9-valent vaccine and confirmed the accuracy and specificity of the triple-color PBNAs. Then, the single- and triple color HPV 6/11/18/31/33/45/52/58 PsVs were employed to detect the neutralization titers of cynomolgus macaques sera immunized with HPV 9-valent vaccine and determined whether the triple-color PBNAs could be applied to evaluate the immunogenicity of the sera generated by the immunization of HPV9-valent vaccine. Results: The concentration of HPV16 PsVs encapsulating green, red or blue fluorescent plasmid was 5.0 to 6.0 μg/ml and HPV6/11/18/31/33/45/52/59 triple-color HPV PsVs was about 1.0 to 3.0 μg/ml. 9 types HPV PsVs containing EGFP, Mcherry or mTagBFP reporter plasmid were obtained and the concentration can meet the need of neutralization detection. 9 types single-color fluorescent HPV PsVs had similar infectivity against 293FT cells with the infection titer values between 1×10(4) and 1×10(5). The results of PBNAs showed that there was no significant difference in the anti-HPV neutralization titers of mice sera induced by HPV 9-valent vaccine between single-color and triple-color HPV16/33/45 PsVs (P>0.05). Similarly, there was also no significant difference in the anti-HPV neutralization titers of cynomolgus macaques sera induced by HPV 9-valent vaccine between single-color and triple-color HPV6/11/18/31/33/45/52/58 PsVs (P>0.05). Conclusion: We successfully established the triple-color PBNAs and verified the accuracy and specificity of triple-color PBNAs consistent with single-color PBNAs. The triple-color PBNAs can be applied to evaluate the immunogenicity of HPV 9-valent vaccine's immune serum.

Abstract P6-17-09: Event-free survival by ADCC status from a follow-up study comparing SB3 (trastuzumab biosimilar) with reference trastuzumab for HER2 positive breast cancer in neoadjuvant setting. Cancer Res 2019. [DOI: 10.1158/1538-7445.sabcs18-p6-17-09] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Indexed: 11/16/2022]
Abstract
Abstract
Background: SB3 has been approved by the European Commission as a biosimilar of reference trastuzumab (TRZ). Equivalent breast pathologic complete response (bpCR) rate and comparable event-free survival (EFS) and overall survival between SB3 and TRZ have been reported.1-3 Upon monitoring quality attributes of TRZ for the development of SB3, a marked downward shift in antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity activities (ADCC) was observed in TRZ lots with expiry dates from Aug 2018 to Dec 2019.4 Some of these lots were used in this study. The objective of this report is to evaluate event-free survival by ADCC status from an additional one-year follow-up study.
Methods: Patients with HER2 positive early or locally advanced breast cancer were randomly assigned to receive SB3 or TRZ in neoadjuvant setting concurrently with chemotherapy. Patients then underwent surgery followed by adjuvant SB3 or TRZ. After completion of therapy, patients from selected countries participated in a long-term follow-up study. In TRZ, patients exposed to at least one shifted ADCC lot and those not exposed to shifted ADCC lot during neoadjuvant period were considered as “Exposed” and “Unexposed,” respectively. EFS was defined as the time from the date of randomization to the date when the first event occurred. An event was defined as disease recurrence or progression (local, regional, distant or contralateral) or death due to any cause. EFS after additional one-year follow-up was analyzed by ADCC status in the long-term follow-up set (LFS).
Results: A total of 367 patients (SB3, N=186; TRZ, N=181) were included in the LFS. Within TRZ, 55 patients were Unexposed and 126 patients were Exposed. At a median follow-up duration of 30.1 months in SB3 and 30.2 months in TRZ from initiation of study treatment, 4.8% patients in SB3, 3.6% in Unexposed and 10.3% in Exposed experienced events. 4.3% patients in SB3, 1.8% in Unexposed and 9.5% in Exposed experienced recurrence after surgery (Table). Two-year EFS rate was 96.7% in SB3, 98.2% in Unexposed and 92.5% in Exposed.
Conclusion: A significantly higher proportion of patients experienced events in Exposed compared to Unexposed (HR 0.07, 95% CI 0.01-0.58, p-value=0.0137). No significant difference in EFS was found between SB3 and Unexposed. Although this study has a relatively short follow-up and has not been powered to evaluate the impact of ADCC on survival, these results suggest a possible correlation between ADCC and clinical efficacy. Further long-term results will follow.

Abstract
The evolution of bismuth crystal structure upon excitation of its A1g phonon has been intensely studied with short pulse optical lasers. Here we present the first-time observation of a hard x-ray induced ultrafast phase transition in a bismuth single crystal at high intensities (~1014 W/cm2). The lattice evolution was followed using a recently demonstrated x-ray single-shot probing setup. The time evolution of the (111) Bragg peak intensity showed strong dependence on the excitation fluence. After exposure to a sufficiently intense x-ray pulse, the peak intensity dropped to zero within 300 fs, i.e. faster than one oscillation period of the A1g mode at room temperature. Our analysis indicates a nonthermal origin of a lattice disordering process, and excludes interpretations based on electron-ion equilibration process, or on thermodynamic heating process leading to plasma formation.

The relative impact of urbanization and precipitation on long-term water level variations in the Yangtze River Delta. THE SCIENCE OF THE TOTAL ENVIRONMENT 2019; 648:460-471. Abstract
The combined and individual hydrological impacts of climate variation and urbanization have been extensively discussed over the past few decades, yet little is known about the relative impact of each. In this paper we took one of the most developed regions worldwide, Yangtze River Delta, as an example to analyse the long-term relative impacts of precipitation and urbanization change on water level alterations, based on precipitation, water level series, and annual impervious area data from 1960 to 2015. Abrupt changes detection in the water level series divided the data into the pre-impact period (1960-1988) and impacted period (1989-2015), and relative impacts of precipitation and urbanization on the water level increase from pre-impacted to impacted period, as well as their spatial and seasonal variations were estimated with the elasticity method. The results indicated that the urbanization change showed no distinct influence on the water level rise in the pre-impact period, while the precipitation played distinct roles only during summer months in the impacted period; the precipitation dominated two thirds of the water level rise in flood season, and in non-flood season the urbanization controlled the two thirds of the water level rise; spatially, the water level variations in old and new urban area were dominated by precipitation and urbanization process respectively; compared with precipitation amount, the water level correlated more strongly to the contribution ratio of precipitation. The results would provide a good reference for flood control and water resource management in the river basin, especially in the economically developed areas.

Mutation at Different Sites of Metal Transporter Gene OsNramp5 Affects Cd Accumulation and Related Agronomic Traits in Rice ( Oryza sativa L.). FRONTIERS IN PLANT SCIENCE 2019; 10:1081. Abstract
OsNramp5 is a key gene involved in the control of the uptake of Cd, Mn, and other metal ions by rice root cells. The functional deficiency of this gene can significantly reduce the accumulation of Cd in rice grains, but the effects of its mutation on agronomic traits such as yield and quality have not been investigated comprehensively yet. In the present study, three Huanghuazhan-based OsNramp5 mutants [LCH1 (Low Cadmium Huanghuazhan 1), LCH2 (Low Cadmium Huanghuazhan 2), and LCH3 (Low Cadmium Huanghuazhan 3)] were obtained using clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated protein 9 (CRISPR/Cas9) technology. The mutation-type analysis showed that LCH1, LCH2, and LCH3 encoded defective OsNramp5 protein sequences containing only 76aa, 176aa, and 266aa, respectively. The determination of metal content and the statistics of related agronomic traits revealed that the functionally deficient OsNramp5 not only significantly reduced the accumulation of Cd in the grains of the mutants but also affected rice yield and quality. However, with the decrease of OsNramp5 mutation degree, its effects on chlorenchyma Mn accumulation, yield, and quality were also diminished. Additionally, we also found that the increase in the concentration of Mn in the soil restored the phenotype of the declined yield and quality due to the functional deficiency of OsNramp5. Our findings provide novel insights into and new materials for breeding rice varieties with low Cd accumulation and excellent agronomic traits under severe Cd pollution environment.

Abstract
Vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) and pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide (PACAP) belong to the same peptide family and exert a variety of biological functions. Both PACAP and VIP have protective effects in several tissues. While PACAP is known to be a stronger retinoprotective peptide, VIP has very potent anti-inflammatory effects. The need for a non-invasive therapeutic approach has emerged and PACAP has been shown to be retinoprotective when administered in the form of eye drops as well. The cell penetrating peptide TAT is composed of 11 amino acids and tagging of TAT at the C-terminus of neuropeptides PACAP/VIP can enhance the traversing ability of the peptides through the biological barriers. We hypothesized that TAT-bound PACAP and VIP could be more effective in exerting retinoprotective effects when given in eye drops, by increasing the traversing efficacy and enhancing the activation of the PAC1 receptor. Rats were subjected to bilateral carotid artery occlusion (BCCAO), and retinas were processed for histological analysis 14 days later. The efficiency of the TAT-bound peptides to reach the retina was assessed as well as their cAMP increasing ability. Our present study provides evidence, for the first time, that topically administered PACAP and VIP derivatives (PACAP-TAT and VIP-TAT) attenuate ischemic retinal degeneration via the PAC1 receptor presumably due to a multifactorial protective mechanism.

Abstract
A comprehensive mathematical model was constructed to evaluate the complex substrate and microbial interaction in algal-bacterial photo sequencing batch reactors (PSBR). The kinetics of metabolite, growth and endogenous respiration of ammonia oxidizing bacteria, nitrite oxidizing bacteria and heterotrophic bacteria were coupled to those of microalgae and then embedded into widely-used activated sludge model series. The impact of light intensity was considered for microalgae growth, while the effect of inorganic carbon was considered for each microorganism. The integrated model framework was assessed using experimental data from algal-bacterial consortia performing sidestream nitritation/denitritation. The validity of the model was further evaluated based on dataset from PSBR performing mainstream nitrification. The developed model could satisfactorily capture the dynamics of microbial populations and substrates under different operational conditions (i.e. feeding, carbon dosing and illuminating mode, light intensity, influent ammonium concentration), which might serve as a powerful tool for optimizing the novel algal-bacterial nitrogen removal processes.

Abstract
Goat farming in Pakistan depends on indigenous breeds that have adapted to specific agro-ecological conditions. Pakistan has a rich resource of goat breeds, and the genetic diversity of these goat breeds is largely unknown. In this study, genetic diversity and population structure were characterized from seven indigenous goat breeds using the goat 50K SNP chip. The genetic diversity analysis showed that Bugi toori goats have the highest inbreeding level, consistent with the highest linkage disequilibrium, lowest diversity and long run of heterozygosity segments. This indicates that this breed should be prioritized in future conservation activities. The population structure analysis revealed four fairly distinct clusters (including Bugi toori, Bari, Black Tapri and some Kamori) and three other breeds that are seemingly the results of admixture between these or related groups (some Kamori, Pateri, Tapri and White Tapri). The selection signatures were evaluated in each breed. A total of 2508 putative selection signals were reported. The 26 significant windows were identified in more than four breeds, and selection signatures spanned several genes that directly or indirectly influence traits included coat colour variation (KIT), reproduction (BMPR1B, GNRHR, INSL6, JAK2 and EGR4), body size (SOCS2), ear size (MSRB3) and milk composition (ABCG2, SPP1, CSN1S2, CSN2, CSN3 and PROLACTIN).

Abstract
Inspired by "water ripples" in nature and the flocculation phenomenon in colloid chemistry, a novel liquid drop/colloid flocculation approach is developed to fabricate an extremely flexible and compressible 3D macroscopic graphene-based architecture (hydrogels or aerogels), via a new coagulation-induced self-assembly mechanism. This facile and universal technique can be achieved in a neutral, acidic, or basic coagulation bath, producing microsized hydrogels with various structures, such as mushroom, circle, disc shapes, etc. The method also allows us to introduce various guest materials in the graphene matrix using transition metal salts as the coagulating bath. A mushroom-shaped NiCo oxide/GS hybrid aerogel (diameter: 3 mm) is prepared as an example, with ultrathin NiCo oxide nanosheets in situ grown onto the surface of graphene. By employing as binder-free electrodes, these hybrid aerogels exhibit a specific capacitance of 858.3 F g-1 at 2 A g-1, as well as a good rate capability and cyclic stability. The asymmetric supercapacitor, assembling with the hybrid aerogels as cathode and graphene hydrogels as anode materials, could deliver an energy density of 21 Wh kg-1 at power density of 4500 W kg-1. The ease of synthesis and the feasibility of obtaining highly flexible aerogels with varied morphologies and compositions make this method a promising one for use in the field of biotechnology, electrochemistry, flexible electronics, and environment applications.

Abstract
Babesia spp., Theileria spp. and Anaplasma ovis are important intracellular agents that are transmitted by tick bites. However, Babesia spp., Theileria spp. and A. ovis in ticks have not been systematically reported along the border of northwestern China. In this study, a total of 1,084 adult ticks, including 134 Haemaphysalis punctata, 337 Hyalomma asiaticum, 233 Dermacentor nuttalli, 69 Rhipicephalus turanicus and 265 Dermacentor marginatus were collected from 11 counties or cities of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The ticks were identified from morphological and molecular characteristics. Two fragments of 18S rRNA gene were used to determine the species level of Babesia and Theileria. Msp4 gene encoding major surface protein 4 was used to determine A. ovis. Of the 1,084 samples, five species of Babesia (B. occultans, B. caballi, B. motasi, B. major and Babesia sp. detected in this study), two kinds of Theileria (Theileria ovis and Theileria sp. detected in this study) and A. ovis with six phylogenic branches were detected in the border of northwestern China. Babesia occultans, first found in China, was first molecularly detected in D. nuttalli. Babesia caballi and Babesia sp. detected in this study were first molecularly detected in Hy. asiaticum. Genotype III of A. ovis was predominant in the border regions of northwestern China.

Abstract
Objective: This study was to analyze the association of lipid parameters with insulin resistance of Chinese elderly population in different glycemic status. Methods: Data were from China National Chronic Diseases and Nutrition Survey (2015). A total of 15 535 participants aged 60 and above who had completed survey questionnaire, physical examination, fasting blood biochemistry and insulin measurements were included in this study. According to the American Diabetes Association (2010) criteria, the participants were divided into normal glucose regulation, pre-diabetes, newly-diagnosed diabetes and previously-diagnosed diabetes. Multivariable logistic regression was preformed to assess the effects of lipid parameters on insulin resistance in different glycemic among the elderly population. Results: The proportion of normal glucose regulation, pre-diabetes, newly-diagnosed diabetes and previously-diagnosed diabetes was 50.46% (n=7 839), 22.19% (n=3 448), 12.46% (n=1 937) and 14.88% (n=2 311), respectively. The risk of insulin resistance increased with the elevated per quartile of triglycerides (TG) (OR=1.48,95%CI: 1.35-1.62), non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (Non-HDL)/HDL-C (OR=1.23, 95%CI: 1.12-1.35) and TG/HDL-C (OR=1.50, 95%CI: 1.36-1.65) and decreased with the elevated per quartile of HDL-C (OR=0.83, 95%CI: 0.76-0.90) after multivariate adjustment among normal glucose regulation participants. As for pre-diabetes participants, the risk of insulin resistance increased with the elevated per quartile of TG (OR=1.26, 95%CI: 1.14-1.39) and TG/HDL-C (OR=1.38, 95%CI: 1.24-1.54) and decreased with the elevated per quartile of HDL-C (OR=0.79, 95%CI: 0.71-0.87). The risk of insulin resistance increased with the elevated per quartiles of TG/HDL-C (OR=1.29, 95%CI: 1.12-1.48) among newly-diagnosed diabetes. As for previously-diagnosed diabetes, the risk of insulin resistance increased with the elevated per quartile of TG, Non-HDL/HDL-C and TG/HDL-C with adjusted OR(95%CI) about 1.28 (1.16-1.41), 1.37(1.21-1.55) and 1.51 (1.33-1.72) repsectivley and decreased with the elevated per quartile of HDL-C (OR=0.77, 95%CI: 0.67-0.87). Conclusion: The relationship between lipid parameters and insulin resistance presented diversely in different glycemic status. The elderly with normal glucose regulation and previously-diagnosed diabetes should pay close attention to the change of TG/HDL-C, TG, HDL-C and Non-HDL/HDL-C. As for prediabetes participants, the TG/HDL-C, TG and HDL-C level change should be focused.

Abstract
Small signaling peptides play important roles in plant development and responses to abiotic and biotic stresses. We have identified a novel small peptide gene in rice, OsDSSR1, which is expressed mainly in the root, stem, node, leaf, and panicle. OsDSSR1 expression is also induced by drought, salinity, ABA, and H2O2 treatment. OsDSSR1 is localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Transgenic plants overexpressing OsDSSR1 exhibited enhanced drought stress tolerance and decreased ABA sensitivity as compared to the wild type. Overexpression of OsDSSR1 promoted the accumulation of compatible osmolytes, such as free proline and soluble sugars. OsDSSR1-overexpressing plants displayed enhanced OsSodCc2 and OscAPX expression and superoxide dismutase and ascorbate peroxidase activities under drought stress. RNA-sequencing data revealed that the expression of 72 abiotic stress-responsive genes was significantly altered in homozygous transgenic plants. These stress-responsive candidate genes will aid in expanding our understanding of the mechanisms by which small peptides mediate tolerance in crop species.

Abstract
BACKGROUND East Asia is a known endemic area for hepatitis B, and living donor liver transplantation is mainly performed. Liver retransplantation (ReLT) is expected to become an increasing problem because of a shortage of organs. This study aimed to compare early and late ReLT with consideration of specific circumstances and disease background of East Asians. METHODS Between October 1996 and January 2015, 51 patients underwent ReLT; we performed a retrospective analysis of data obtained from medical records of the patients. Clinical characteristics, indication, causes of death, survival rate, and prognostic factors were investigated. RESULT The survival rate for early ReLT (n = 18) was 51.5% and that for late ReLT (n = 33) was 50.1% at 1 year postoperatively. Continuous venovenous hemodialysis and the use of mechanical ventilators were more frequent, and pre-retransplant intensive care unit stay and prothrombin time was longer in early ReLT than in late ReLT. Operation time was longer and the amount of intraoperative blood loss was greater in late ReLT than in early ReLT. Multivariate analysis showed that a higher C-reactive protein level increased mortality in early ReLT (P = .045), whereas a higher total bilirubin level increased the risk of death in late ReLT (P = .03). CONCLUSION Patients with early ReLT are likely to be sicker pre-retransplantation and require adequate treatment of the pretransplant infectious disease. On the other hand, late ReLT is likely to be technically more difficult and should be decided before the total bilirubin level increases substantially.

Abstract
X-ray free-electron lasers (XFELs) provide extremely bright and highly spatially coherent x-ray radiation with femtosecond pulse duration. Currently, they are widely used in biology and material science. Knowledge of the XFEL statistical properties during an experiment may be vitally important for the accurate interpretation of the results. Here, for the first time, we demonstrate Hanbury Brown and Twiss (HBT) interferometry performed in diffraction mode at an XFEL source. It allowed us to determine the XFEL statistical properties directly from the Bragg peaks originating from colloidal crystals. This approach is different from the traditional one when HBT interferometry is performed in the direct beam without a sample. Our analysis has demonstrated nearly full (80%) global spatial coherence of the XFEL pulses and an average pulse duration on the order of ten femtoseconds for the monochromatized beam, which is significantly shorter than expected from the electron bunch measurements.

Abstract
The interactions that lead to the emergence of superconductivity in iron-based materials remain a subject of debate. It has been suggested that electron-electron correlations enhance electron-phonon coupling in iron selenide (FeSe) and related pnictides, but direct experimental verification has been lacking. Here we show that the electron-phonon coupling strength in FeSe can be quantified by combining two time-domain experiments into a "coherent lock-in" measurement in the terahertz regime. X-ray diffraction tracks the light-induced femtosecond coherent lattice motion at a single phonon frequency, and photoemission monitors the subsequent coherent changes in the electronic band structure. Comparison with theory reveals a strong enhancement of the coupling strength in FeSe owing to correlation effects. Given that the electron-phonon coupling affects superconductivity exponentially, this enhancement highlights the importance of the cooperative interplay between electron-electron and electron-phonon interactions.

Abstract
Poly-ε-L-lysine is a natural homo-polyamide of L-lysine with excellent antimicrobial properties, which can be used as a novel preservative and has a wide range of applications. In this paper, the fermentation medium for ε-PL production by Streptomyces diastatochromogenes 6#-7 was optimized by Response Surface Methodology. The results of Plackett-Burman design showed that glucose, yeast extract and (NH4 )2 SO4 were the major influencing factors in ε-PL production of S. diastatochromogenes 6#-7. The optimal concentrations of glucose, yeast extract and (NH4 )2 SO4 were determined to be 60, 7·5 and 7·5 g l-1 according to Box-Behnken experiment and regression analysis, respectively. Under the optimized conditions, the ε-PL yield in shake-flask fermentation was 0·948 ± 0·030 g l-1 , which was in good agreement with the predicted value of 0·970 g l-1 . The yield was improved by 43·1% from that with the initial medium. In 5 l jar-fermenter the ε-PL yield reached 25·5 g l-1 , which was increased by 56·4% from the original medium. In addition, the fermentation time was reduced from 174 to 120 h. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY Medium optimization is a very practical and valuable tool for fermentation industry to improve product yield and minimize by-products as well as reduce overall manufacturing costs. The response surface methodology is not new, but it is still a very effective method in medium optimization research. This study used ε-polylysine fermentation as an example to demonstrate how the product yield can be significantly increased by medium optimization through surface response methodology. Similar approach can be used in other microbial fermentations such as in pharmaceutical, food, agricultural and energy industries. As an example, ε-polylysine is one of a few newly approved natural food-grade antimicrobials for food and beverages preservations. Yield improvement is economically beneficial to not only ε-polylysine manufacturers but also to their users and consumers due to lower costs and price.

Abstract
The experimental observation of the depression effect in gas devices designed for X-ray free-electron lasers (FELs) is reported. The measurements were carried out at the Linac Coherent Light Source using a two-bunch FEL beam at 6.5 keV with 122.5 ns separation passing through an argon gas cell. The relative intensities of the two pulses of the two-bunch beam were measured, after and before the gas cell, from X-ray scattering off thin targets by using fast diodes with sufficient temporal resolution. At a cell pressure of 140 hPa, it was found that the after-to-before ratio of the intensities of the second pulse was about 17% ± 6% higher than that of the first pulse, revealing lower effective attenuation of the gas cell due to heating by the first pulse and subsequent gas density reduction in the beam path. This measurement is important in guiding the design and/or mitigating the adverse effects in gas devices for high-repetition-rate FELs such as the LCLS-II and the European XFEL or other future high-repetition-rate upgrades to existing FEL facilities.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the relationship between serum secreted frizzled-related protein 5(sfrp5) levels, insulin resistance, and airway inflammation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). Method: A total of 178 COPD patients visiting our respiratory outpatient clinic from February 2015 to January 2017 were enrolled, and 99 healthy control subjects from the same time period were selected. Serum sfrp5 levels were compared between the 2 groups. Serum sfrp5 and inflammatory cytokines in induced sputum were observed in the 4 subgroups: insulin resistant COPD group [homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR)≥2.29], non-insulin resistant COPD group, non-COPD insulin resistant group, and healthy control group. Results: Serum sfrp5 levels were found to be significantly higher in the COPD group as compared to the healthy control group (t=-14.29, P<0.001). Serum sfrp5 levels in the insulin resistant COPD group [(8±3)ng/ml] were significantly lower than that of the non-insulin resistant COPD group [(10±5)ng/ml], non-COPD insulin resistant group [(13±3)ng/ml], and normal control group [(14±4)ng/ml, F=35.85, P<0.01]. The insulin resistant COPD group had higher levels of In(Homa-IR), as well as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in induced sputum as compared to the non-insulin resistant COPD group, non-COPD insulin resistant group, and healthy control group (F values were 64.968, 41.40, 64.15, respectively, P value <0.01 for all items). The non-insulin resistant COPD group had higher levels of In(HOMA-IR) as well as TNF-α and IL-6 in induced sputum as compared to the non-COPD insulin resistant group and healthy control group. FEV(1)/FVC and FEV(1)% predicted were significantly lower in the insulin resistant COPD group as compared to those of non-insulin resistant COPD group and non-COPD insulin resistant group, and healthy control group (F values were 2.481 and 8.37, respectively, P value<0.05 for all items). FEV(1)/FVC and FEV(1)% predicted were significantly lower in the non-insulin resistant COPD group as compared to those of the healthy control group and non-COPD insulin-resistant group. Serum sfrp5 levels were positively correlated to FEV(1)/FVC and FEV(1) predicted (r values were 0.466 and 0.412, respectively; P values were <0.001 and 0.007, respectively) and inversely correlated to In(HOMA-IR) and TNF-α and IL-6 in induced sputum (r values were -0.304, -0.459, -0.517, respectively; P values were <0.001, 0.002, <0.001, respectively). BMI, ln(HOMA-IR), and IL-6 in induced sputum were independent related factors (r(2) values were 0.286, 0.176, 14.69, respectively; P values were <0.01 for all items) Conclusion: Sfrp5 may be concurrently associated with COPD and insulin resistance; insulin resistance may be associated with airway inflammation and airflow limitation. Sfrp5 may be involved in the development of COPD and may be the key link by which insulin resistance exerts its effects on airway inflammation.

Abstract
Measurements of the associated production of a Z boson with at least one jet originating from a b quark in proton-proton collisions ats = 8 TeV are presented. Differential cross sections are measured with data collected by the CMS experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.8fb - 1 . Z bosons are reconstructed through their decays to electrons and muons. Cross sections are measured as a function of observables characterizing the kinematics of the b jet and the Z boson. Ratios of differential cross sections for the associated production with at least one b jet to the associated production with any jet are also presented. The production of a Z boson with at least two b jets is investigated, and differential cross sections are measured for the dijet system. Results are compared to theoretical predictions, testing two different flavour schemes for the choice of initial-state partons.
