Abstract
The Crab Nebula is a bright source of gamma rays powered by the Crab Pulsar's rotational energy through the formation and termination of a relativistic electron-positron wind. We report the detection of gamma rays from this source with energies from 5 × 10-4 to 1.1 peta-electron volts with a spectrum showing gradual steepening over three energy decades. The ultrahigh-energy photons imply the presence of a peta-electron volt electron accelerator (a pevatron) in the nebula, with an acceleration rate exceeding 15% of the theoretical limit. We constrain the pevatron's size between 0.025 and 0.1 parsecs and the magnetic field to ≈110 microgauss. The production rate of peta-electron volt electrons, 2.5 × 1036 ergs per second, constitutes 0.5% of the pulsar spin-down luminosity, although we cannot exclude a contribution of peta-electron volt protons to the production of the highest-energy gamma rays.

Abstract
We report the discovery of an extended very-high-energy (VHE) gamma-ray source around the location of the middle-aged (207.8 kyr) pulsar PSR J0622+3749 with the Large High-Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO). The source is detected with a significance of 8.2σ for E>25 TeV assuming a Gaussian template. The best-fit location is (right ascension, declination) =(95.47°±0.11°,37.92°±0.09°), and the extension is 0.40°±0.07°. The energy spectrum can be described by a power-law spectrum with an index of -2.92±0.17_{stat}±0.02_{sys}. No clear extended multiwavelength counterpart of the LHAASO source has been found from the radio to sub-TeV bands. The LHAASO observations are consistent with the scenario that VHE electrons escaped from the pulsar, diffused in the interstellar medium, and scattered the interstellar radiation field. If interpreted as the pulsar halo scenario, the diffusion coefficient, inferred for electrons with median energies of ∼160 TeV, is consistent with those obtained from the extended halos around Geminga and Monogem and much smaller than that derived from cosmic ray secondaries. The LHAASO discovery of this source thus likely enriches the class of so-called pulsar halos and confirms that high-energy particles generally diffuse very slowly in the disturbed medium around pulsars.

Abstract
Temperature influences the physiological processes and ecology of both hosts and endophytes; however, it remains unclear how long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) modulate the consequences of temperature-dependent changes in host-pathogen interactions. To explore the role of lncRNAs in culm gall formation induced by the smut fungus Ustilago esculenta in Zizania latifolia, we employed RNA sequencing to identify lncRNAs and their potential cis-targets in Z. latifolia and U. esculenta under different temperatures. In Z. latifolia and U. esculenta, we identified 3194 and 173 lncRNAs as well as 126 and four potential target genes for differentially expressed lncRNAs, respectively. Further function and expression analysis revealed that lncRNA ZlMSTRG.11348 regulates amino acid metabolism in Z. latifolia and lncRNA UeMSTRG.02678 regulates amino acid transport in U. esculenta. The plant defence response was also found to be regulated by lncRNAs and suppressed in Z. latifolia infected with U. esculenta grown at 25 °C, which may result from the expression of effector genes in U. esculenta. Moreover, in Z. latifolia infected with U. esculenta, the expression of genes related to phytohormones was altered under different temperatures. Our results demonstrate that lncRNAs are important components of the regulatory networks in plant-microbe-environment interactions, and may play a part in regulating culm swelling in Z. latifolia plants.

Abstract
The extension of the cosmic-ray spectrum beyond 1 petaelectronvolt (PeV; 1015 electronvolts) indicates the existence of the so-called PeVatrons-cosmic-ray factories that accelerate particles to PeV energies. We need to locate and identify such objects to find the origin of Galactic cosmic rays1. The principal signature of both electron and proton PeVatrons is ultrahigh-energy (exceeding 100 TeV) γ radiation. Evidence of the presence of a proton PeVatron has been found in the Galactic Centre, according to the detection of a hard-spectrum radiation extending to 0.04 PeV (ref. 2). Although γ-rays with energies slightly higher than 0.1 PeV have been reported from a few objects in the Galactic plane3-6, unbiased identification and in-depth exploration of PeVatrons requires detection of γ-rays with energies well above 0.1 PeV. Here we report the detection of more than 530 photons at energies above 100 teraelectronvolts and up to 1.4 PeV from 12 ultrahigh-energy γ-ray sources with a statistical significance greater than seven standard deviations. Despite having several potential counterparts in their proximity, including pulsar wind nebulae, supernova remnants and star-forming regions, the PeVatrons responsible for the ultrahigh-energy γ-rays have not yet been firmly localized and identified (except for the Crab Nebula), leaving open the origin of these extreme accelerators.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the impact of surgical treatment on quality of life in patients with locally recurrent rectal cancer (LRRC). Methods: A descriptive case series study was performed. The complete clinical data of 62 patients who met the diagnostic criteria of LRRC and treated by surgical procedures in Huashan Hospital of Fudan University from January 2012 to November 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. All the patients were followed up at least 12 months. Assessments of urinary function, sexual function, mobility function of lower limb and quality of life were documented. Patients with distant metastasis and surgical history of the urinary system were excluded. According to the criteria of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), recurrence were divided into central (n=27), anterior (n=20), posterior (n=7), and lateral (n=8) subtypes. Baseline characteristics, surgical procedures and short-term complications were analyzed. International prostate symptom score (IPSS) and grade of voiding dysfunction were used to evaluate the urinary function. Higher score of IPSS and higher grade of voiding dysfunction indicated worse voiding function. Sexual function for both genders was assessed preoperatively and postoperatively. International index of erectile function-5 (IIEF-5) was used for assessment of male patients and higher score indicated better function. Female sexual function index (FSFI) was used in females and higher score indicated better function. Short-form health survey with 36 items (SF-36), yielding an 8-scale profile of functional health (physical functioning, role-physical, bodily pain, general health, vitality, social functioning, emotional health and mental health) was used to evaluate the quality of life. The higher score indicated the better quality of life. Results: All the operations of 62 patients completed successfully and R0 resection rate was 88.7% (55/62). Postoperative surgical complications occurred in 16 cases (25.8%), including 3 patients of Clavien-Dindo classification III. At postoperative 3-month, 42 patients without ileum cystectomy or ureterostomy suffered from different grade of voiding dysfunction. IPSS increased significantly after the surgery (before surgery: 12.36±4.75, after surgery: 18.40±4.77, t=-9.128, P<0.001). There was no significant difference among the subtypes (P>0.05). At postoperative 12-month, IIEF-5 decreased from 14 (0~25) to 9 (0~19) in males (Z=-5.174, P<0.001) and FSFI deceased from 8.4 (2.0-27.0) to 2.0 (2.0-18.4) in females (Z=-3.522, P<0.001). Scores of physical functioning and role-physical decreased significantly [physical functioning: before surgery 70 (35-85), after surgery 65 (30-80), Z=-3.685, P<0.001; role-physical: before surgery 50 (0-50), after surgery 25(0-75), Z=-4.065, P<0.001], while those of social functioning role-emotional and mental health increased significantly after the surgery [social functioning: before surgery 44 (22-78), after surgery 56 (0-89), Z=-3.509, P<0.001; role-emotional: before surgery 17 (0-100), after surgery 33 (0-100), Z=-2.439, P=0.015; mental health: before surgery 40 (36-76), after surgery 52 (24-80), Z=-3.395, P<0.001]. All surgical procedures decreased the voiding function of LRRC patients and the sexual function of male patients (all P<0.01). However, only total pelvic exenteration and posterior pelvic exenteration decreased FSFI in female patients [before surgery: 8.4 (2.0-27.0) after surgery: 2.0 (2.0-18.4), Z=-2.810, P=0.005]. Conclusions: Multi-visceral resection in LRRC patients may damage voiding and sexual function. However, successful and effective surgical treatment can improve the psychosocial health of LRRC patients.

Abstract
We numerically investigate the nonequilibrium behaviors of classic particles with competing interactions confined in a two-dimensional logarithmic trap. We reveal a quench-induced surprising dynamics exhibiting rich dynamic patterns depending upon confinement strength and trap size, which is attributed to the time-dependent competition between interparticle repulsions and attractions under a circular confinement. Moreover, in the collectively diffusive motions of the particles, we find that the emergence of dynamic structure transformation coincides with a diffusive mode transition from superdiffusion to subdiffusion. These findings are likely useful in understanding the pattern selection and evolution in various chemical and biological systems in addition to modulated systems, and add a new route to tailoring the morphology of pattern-forming systems.

Abstract
Objective: To examine the clinical application value of single-port inflatable endoscopic nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction using prosthesis implantation in the treatment of early breast cancer. Methods: From February 2014 to July 2019, the clinic-pathological data of 34 early breast cancer patients received single-port inflatable endoscopic nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction using prosthesis implantation at Department of General Surgery, Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University were retrospectively analyzed and followed up. All the patients were female, with an age of 46(11) years (M(QR)) (range: 26 to 64 years). The radical cure degree of operation, cosmetic effect after operation were evaluated. The satisfaction to operation and personal quality of life after operation was accessed by BREAST-Q scale. Results: All surgical procedures were successfully completed. The operation time was (313.4±11.7) minutes (range: 200 to 485 minutes). The blooding-liquid was (33.8±3.3) ml (range: 10 to 100 ml). There were 5 cases (14.7%) of nipple areola necrosis after operation, of which 1 patient received taking the prosthesis out because of prosthesis exposure. There was no capsular contracture or postoperative bleeding case. The follow-up time was 35(17) months (range: 12 to 77 months), and there was one case suffering local recurrence and metastasis, and another suffering metastasis. The scores of postoperative breast satisfaction, psychosocial status, chest wall status and sexual health were 78.32±2.57 (range: 55 to 100), 89.12±2.30 (range: 82 to 100), 91.47±1.33 (range: 43 to 100), and 78.50±2.68 (range: 39 to 100). Conclusion: Single-port inflatable endoscopic nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction using prosthesis implantation in the treatment of early breast cancer can achieve provided curative and cosmetic effect on patients with breast cancer, with good patients' postoperative quality of life and satisfaction.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the prevalence of anxiety among old people before and during the COVID-19 epidemic in China, and to provide scientific evidence for psychological intervention of the elderly during public health emergencies. Methods: In 2019, the National Psychological Care Project for the Elderly was launched, covering 818 communities across the country, and 188 407 subjects received psychological assessment. In April and May 2020, a convenient sample of 6 467 aged 65 and above subjects were followed up on the anxiety status and its influencing factors during the epidemic period by using structurized questionnaire. Data collection and management were carried out using the national elderly psychological care project data collection platform. McNemar test was used to compare the difference of the prevalence of anxiety among elderly before (October 2019 to January 23, 2020) and during the epidemic (April-May 2020). The difference of the prevalence of anxiety among elderly with different characteristics was compared by chi square test. The influencing factors of anxiety before and during the epidemic situation were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression model. Results: The prevalence of anxiety symptoms in the elderly population was 4.95% (95%CI: 4.42%-5.48%) before the outbreak of COVID-19, and 10.10% (95%CI: 9.36%-10.83%) during the epidemic which was twice as high as before the outbreak. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the risk factors of anxiety symptoms before the outbreak were with one underlying disease (OR=1.57, 95%CI: 1.05-2.37), with two or more underlying diseases (OR=3.10, 95%CI: 2.13-4.51), and the protective factors were with hobbies, good relationship between children, good relationship with spouse, positive aging attitude and good psychological resilience (all P<0.05). The risk factors of developing anxiety symptoms during the epidemic were living in rural areas (OR=1.77, 95%CI: 1.42-2.20), participating in social activities regularly (OR=1.23, 95%CI: 1.02-1.48), having a good relationship with friends (OR=1.42, 95%CI: 1.11-1.82) and were quarantined or people around were quarantined for medical observation (OR=2.80, 95% CI: 1.90-4.13). Conclusion: The COVID-19 epidemic leads to a double increase in anxiety among the elderly. We should pay more attention to the psychological state of the elderly in rural area and who is being quarantined or people around being quarantined for medical observation.

Abstract
A new Doppler coherence imaging spectroscopy interferometer has been developed on the HL-2A tokamak for the scrape-off-layer impurity flow measurement. Its spatial resolution is estimated to be up to ∼0.8 mm in the horizontal direction and ∼9 mm in the vertical direction, with a field of view of ∼34°. Its typical temporal resolution is about 1 ms. This salient feature allows for time-resolved 2D measurements in short-time phenomena on HL-2A, such as edge localized modes. Group delay and interference fringe pattern were calibrated with a dedicated calibration system. The robustness of group delay calibration and the feasibility of the extrapolation model for fringe pattern calibration are demonstrated. In this paper, we report the details of the optical instruments, calibration, and the initial experimental results of this Doppler coherence imaging spectroscopy interferometer.

Abstract
A Multi-Color (MC) gas puff imaging diagnostic has been developed on HL-2A tokamak. This diagnostic can simultaneously measure two-dimensional (2D, radial, and poloidal) electron density and temperature distributions with a good spatial resolution of 2.5 × 2.5 mm2 and a temporal resolution of about 100 µs at best in edge plasmas. The 2D electron density and temperature distributions are inferred from the ratios of intensities of three different neutral helium emission lines; therefore, it is also referred to as helium beam probe or beam emission spectroscopy on thermal helium. A compact light splitter is used to split the inlet visible emission beam into four channels, and the specific neutral helium lines of the wavelengths λ1 = 587.6 nm, λ2 = 667.8 nm, λ3 = 706.5 nm, and λ4 = 728.1 nm are measured, respectively. This MC diagnostic has been experimentally tested and calibrated on a linear magnetic confinement device Peking University Plasma Test device, and the measured 2D electron density and temperature distributions are compared with the Langmuir probe measurements.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the changes on the rates of prevalence, awareness and treatment of hypertension as well as the differences of the disease by demographic and economic factors, among adult farmers in nine provinces of China. Methods: Adult farmers, (including fishermen and hunters) with completed data on demographics, socio-economic characteristics, disease histories and physical measurements were selected from the 1991-2015 China Health and Nutrition Survey. Hypertension was defined based on the Chinese guidelines. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the influence of demographic and economic factors on the rates of prevalence, awareness and treatment of hypertension among those adult farmers in 2015. Results: A total of 18 236 participants were included. From 1991 to 2015, rates of prevalence, awareness and treatment of hypertension among the adult farmers in nine provinces all significantly increased (P<0.05). Results from the multivariate analysis showed that farmers aged ≥45 years were 98% more likely to suffer from hypertension than those aged 18-44 years. Farmers who were overweight or obese were 1.58 times and 5.21 times more likely to suffer from hypertension than those in the control group (BMI<24.0 kg/m(2)), respectively. The rates on awareness of hypertension among farmers with junior high school education (OR=0.23) or above (OR=0.12) or with junior high school education (OR=0.30) were both lower than those with primary school education or below. Rates on the awareness and treatment of hypertension in obese farmers were 5.77 times and 7.52 times of those in the control group. Conclusions: The rates of prevalence of hypertension showed increasing trends during 1991-2015, with a slower increase in the rates of awareness and treatment in the farmers. Age ≥45 year-olds, and being obese were the risk factors for farmers to have hypertension, which suggested the above population should be focused on hypertension prevention strategy and practice.

Abstract
Objective: To study the correlation between hypertension label and self-rated health (SRH) in adults aged ≥18 years in China. Methods: Data were from 2013 Chronic Non-communicable Disease and Risk Factor Surveillance Project. The project collected the information through multi stage stratified cluster sampling, face-to-face questionnaire survey and on-site body measurement. The SRH status of the adults was inquired according to the recommendation of Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) in the United States. Blood pressure measurement was performed by using OMRON HBP-1300 electronic sphygmomanometer. Surveymeans and surveyfreq processes were used to describe the general characteristics of the sample population. The cumulative odds logit model was implemented by the processes of surveylogistic to analyze the association between hypertension label and self-rated health in adults in China. Results: A total of 173 008 subjects were included in this study. Hypertension was associated with poorer SRH (OR=1.29, 95%CI: 1.22-1.35, P<0.001), but this association was eliminated by adjustment for hypertension label (P=0.670). Hypertension label was associated with poorer SRH (OR=2.09, 95%CI: 1.96-2.23, P<0.001) and the association was still significant even after adjusting for actual hypertension status (OR=2.08, 95%CI: 1.94-2.23, P<0.001). In hypertension group, those with hypertension label had poorer SRH than those without hypertension label (OR=2.18, 95%CI: 2.02-2.36, P<0.001). In normal blood pressure group, those with hypertension label had poorer SRH than those without hypertension label (OR=1.89, 95%CI: 1.64-2.18, P<0.001). Men's SRH was more sensitive to hypertension label, especially in hypertension group (OR=2.20, 95%CI: 1.98-2.45, P<0.001). The results were all adjusted for demographic factors, smoking status, alcohol consumption, physical activity and chronic diseases. Conclusions: Hypertension label is associated with self-rated health independently in adults in China. The diagnosis of hypertension should strictly follow the latest guidelines.

Abstract
Abstract In forensic science practice, age is an important individual information, and one of the indicators to be considered first to depict features of the suspect. Recently, DNA methylation has become a research hotspot in age estimation because of its hig accuracy and stability. New progress has been made in specificity of DNA methylation sites, age estimation in multiple tissues, DNA methylation age estimation of minors, sensitivity of age estimation, forensic practical applications, etc. At the same time, several studies also established more accurate statistical modeling methods, eliminated differences between different detection platforms, found appropriate number of sites in models and analyzed the influence of environment and diseases. This review summarizes these to provide references.

Abstract
In this paper, the mechanism of destroying human alveolar epithelial cells and pulmonary tissue by 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) was discussed firstly. There may be multiple mechanisms including killing directly the target cells and hyperinflammatory responses. Secondly, the clinical features, CT imaging, short-term and long-term pulmonary function damage of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was analyzed. Finally, some suggestions for thoracic surgery clinical practice in non-epidemic area during and after the epidemic of COVID-19 were provided, to help all the thoracic surgery patients receive active and effective treatment.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the prevalence, co-prevalence of cardiovascular metabolic (CM) risk factors in women aged 15-49 years in China, and describe the influence of social economic factors on them. Methods: The project data of Nutritional Status and Health Transition of Chinese Residents in 2015 were used. The changes in epidemiological characteristics of central obesity, elevated blood pressure, FPG and TG, decreased HDL-C and co-prevalence of the risk factors in women aged 15-49 years were analyzed. According to the definition of the metabolic syndrome released by the International Diabetes Federation in 2005, five cardio-metabolic risk factors appeared as central obesity, increased triglycerides, decreased HDL-C, increased blood pressure and increased plasma glucose. Co-prevalence of risk factors was defined as detecting 2 or more risk factors in a person at the same time. Multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the relationship between socioeconomic factors and metabolic risk factors. Results: In 2015, in women aged 15-49 years in 15 provinces, the detection number (rates) of central obesity, elevated blood pressure, FPG and TG, decreased HDL-C, at least one CM risk factor and co-detection rate of CM risk factors were 944 (47.4%), 464 (23.3%), 123 (6.2%), 327 (16.4%), 1 025 (51.5%), 1 501 (75.4%), and 874 (43.9%), respectively. Compared with women aged 15-19 years, the women in age group of 25-, 30-, 35-, 40-, and 45-49 years were more likely to have central obesity (P<0.05), the women in age group of 30- 35-, 40-, and 45-49 years were more likely to have elevated blood pressure (P<0.05), the women aged 45-49 years were more likely to be affected by one or more CM risk factors (P<0.05), but the women in age group 25-29 years group had lower risk for elevated FPG (P<0.05). The odds of having central obesity, elevated blood pressure, FPG and TG, decreased HDL-C, at least one CM risk factor and co-prevalence of CM risk factors in women with BMI≥24.0 kg/m(2) were 14.16, 3.05, 2.46, 2.49, 2.42, 9.79 and 7.39 times higher than those in the women with BMI of 18.5-24.0 kg/m(2), respectively. The odds of having elevated FPG and TG in women aged 15-49 years in western China and the odds of having elevated blood pressure and FPG in women aged 15-49 years in eastern China were significantly higher than those in central China. No significant correlations were found between the prevalence and co-prevalence of CM risk factors and income level or urban and rural area residences in women aged 15-49 years. Conclusions: Age, BMI level and living area were the major influencing CM risk factors. The precise prevention and control measures should be taken in time for the adverse changes in CM risk factor prevalence.

Abstract
Background CBCSG006 trial reported the superior efficacy of cisplatin plus gemcitabine (GP) regimen than paclitaxel plus gemcitabine (GT) regimen as first-line treatment of metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (mTNBC). This study focused on the updated survival data and the explorations of potential biomarkers for efficacy. Patients and methods Germ-line mutations of homologous recombination (HR) panel, BRCA1/2 included, were evaluated in 55.9% (132/236) patients. PD-L1 expression was evaluated in 48.3% (114/236) patients. A nonparametric sliding-window subpopulation treatment effect pattern plot (STEPP) methodology was used to analyze the absolute survival benefits. All statistical tests were two-sided. Results Median progression-free survival (PFS) was 7.73 [95% confidence interval (CI) 6.46-9.00] months for GP arm and 6.07 (95% CI 5.32-6.83) months for GT arm (P = 0.005). No significant difference in overall survival (OS) was observed. There was significant interaction between HR status and treatment for PFS and status of HR deficient significantly correlated with higher objective response rate (ORR) and longer PFS in GP arm than in GT arm (71.9% versus 38.7%, P = 0.008; 10.37 versus 4.30 months, P = 0.011). There was no significant interaction between germ-line BRCA1/2 (gBRCA1/2) status and treatment for PFS. Patients with gBRCA1/2 mutation had numerically higher ORR and prolonged PFS in GP arm than in GT arm (83.3% versus 37.5%, P = 0.086; 8.90 versus 3.20 months, P = 0.459). There was no significant interaction between PD-L1 status and treatment for PFS, and no significant differences in ORR, PFS or OS between two arms regardless of PD-L1 status. In STEPP analysis, patients with lower composite risks had more absolute benefits in PFS than those with higher composite risks. Conclusions GP regimen has superior efficacy than GT regimen as first-line chemotherapy for mTNBC patients. Germ-line mutations of BRCA1/2 and HR panel are possible biomarkers for better performance of cisplatin-based regimens. A composite risk model was developed to guide patient selection for GP treatment in TNBC patients. Trial registration ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT01287624.

Abstract
Insulating ferromagnets with high T C are required for many new magnetic devices. More complexity arises when strongly correlated 3d ions coexist with strongly spin-orbit coupled 5d ones in a double perovskite. Here, we perform the structural, magnetic, and density functional theory (DFT) study of such double perovskite La2CuIrO6. A new P21/n polymorph is found according to the comprehensive analysis of x-ray, Raman scattering and phonon spectrum. The magnetization reveals a weak ferromagnetic (FM) transition at T C = 62 K and short range FM order in higher temperature range. A huge coercivity is found as high as H C ~ 11.96 kOe at 10 K, which, in combination with the negative trapped field, results in the magnetization reversal in the zero field cooling measurement. The first principle calculations confirm the observed FM state and suggest La2CuIrO6 of this polymorph is a Mott insulating ferromagnet assisted by the spin-orbit coupling.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the status of dietary sodium intake of Chinese adult residents in fifteen provinces in 2015. Methods: Data were collected from 2015 China Nutrition Transition Cohort Study. This cohort study used a three consecutive 24-h retrospective method to record food intake and weighing method to record household condiment consumption. In this study, 14 847 residents aged 18 years and over with complete data from 15 provinces in 2015 were selected for the comparison of dietary sodium intake (median) with different characteristics. Results: Among the 14 847 residents, 47.1% were males, and the rural and northern residents accounted for 60.1% and 37.7%, respectively. Median sodium intake was 3 960.0 mg/d among residents in 2015. The sodium intake of males (4 272.1 mg/d) was higher than that of females (3 716.6 mg/d). Across age subgroups, sodium intake was highest among residents aged 45-59 years (4 257.0 mg/d; 18-44 years old, 3 867.1 mg/d; ≥60 years old, 3 799.0 mg/d). Sodium intake was higher in rural area (4 042.9 mg/d) than in urban area (3 866.8 mg/d), higher in north (4 229.2 mg/d) than in south (3 806.8 mg/d) (all P values <0.05). 11.8% of residents with dietary sodium intake were below 2 000 mg/d. The main sources of dietary sodium were condiments (79.4%), regular cooking foods (11.9%) and processed foods (8.7%). Among the condiments, the salt and soy sauce accounted for 63.6% and 10.4%, respectively. Conclusion: In 2015, Chinese adult residents had higher dietary sodium intake with gender and regional differences. Condiments were the main source of dietary sodium.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the clinical outcomes between laser epithelial keratomileusis (LASEK) and transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy (TPRK) for treatment of myopia. Methods: Case-control study. We reviewed a total of 90 right eyes that underwent either LASEK or TPRK, with 45 eyes in each group (aged between 18 and 40 years; 9 males and 16 females in the LASEK group, and 30 males and 15 females in the TPRK group) from 2015 to 2016 in Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Tangshan Eye Hospital. All the patients were followed up for 6 months postoperatively. Pain, uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA), and haze were measured at postoperative 3 days, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months, and compared using an independent Student t-test between the two groups. Degree of haze, eye pain score, and visual acuity were compared by the Mann-Whitney U test. Results: At 3 days, the pain score was 1 (0,3) in the LASEK group versus 0 (0,1) in the TPRK group (Z=5.643, P=0.001). The UCVA was 4.80±0.10 in the LASEK group versus 4.97±0.07 in the TPRK group (Z=6.930, P=0.000) at 3 days, 4.98±0.08 in the LASEK group versus 5.05±0.06 in the TPRK group (Z=8.147, P=0.000) at 7 days, and 5.02±0.05 in the LASEK group versus 5.06±0.06 in the TPRK group (Z=2.381, P=0.017) at 1 month. The UCVA was also measured at 3 months, 5.07±0.07 versus 5.10±0.07 (Z=1.632, P=0.103), and at 6 months, 5.10±0.07 versus 5.11±0.07 (Z=0.798, P=0.425), respectively, with no statistical significance. The residual diopter was (0.17±0.19) D in the LASEK group versus (0.17±0.20) D in the TPRK group (Z=0.097, P=0.923) at 1 month, (0.03±0.11) D versus (0.07±0.14) D (Z=0.166, P=0.096) at 3 months, (0.07±0.13) D versus (0.07±0.14) D (Z=0.002, P=0.978) at 6 months, respectively. The surface regularity index (SRI) was 0.48±0.09 in the LASEK group and 0.46±0.06 in the TPRK group (t=0.88, P=0.37) at 1 month, and 0.49±0.07 in the LASEK group versus 0.47±0.06 in the TPRK group (t=1.53, P=0.132) at 3 months. Transient haze was documented in 1 eye in each group at 1 month (4.4%), with a maximum index of 0.5. No haze was observed in either group at 6 months. Conclusion: TPRK has the advantages of faster early vision recovery and significantly less pain over LASEK. (Chin J Ophthalmol, 2019, 55: 122-126).

Abstract
The supply and profile of absorbed AA may affect milk protein synthesis through hormonal changes and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathways; and Ile, Leu, Met, and Thr (ILMT) are the 4 AA that have been reported to have the greatest effect on mammary mTOR signaling. The extent to which ILMT and the other remaining AA (RAA) differ in their effects on milk protein synthesis needs to be systematically investigated. In this study, 5 lactating goats, averaging 120 ± 10 d in milk, fitted with jugular vein and carotid artery catheters, were fasted for 24 h, followed by intravenous infusions of a mixture containing AA and glucose for 8 h in a 5 × 5 Latin square design. The AA mixtures were formulated according to the profile of casein. The amounts of AA infused were calculated based on supplies of AA when metabolizable protein (MP) was at requirement (MR). Treatments were an infusate containing glucose without AA (NTAA); an infusate containing 3 × the MR of Ile, Leu, Met and Thr (3F0R); and infusates containing 3F0R plus 1, 2, or 3 × MR of RAA (3F1R, 3F2R, and 3F3R, respectively) according to amounts provided when fed to meet MP requirements for maintenance and lactation for each goat. Milk, arterial blood, and mammary tissue samples were collected immediately after halting the infusion. Relative to NTAA, supplementation of ILMT tended to increase milk protein production and plasma glucose concentrations, and increased milk and lactose production, but had no effects on production or content of milk fat. Graded supplementation of RAA tended to quadratically affect production of milk and lactose. Arterial glucose and glucagon concentrations decreased linearly, and plasma insulin concentrations decreased quadratically with increased RAA. Mammary p70-S6K1 phosphorylation was decreased by addition of ILMT compared with NTAA but increased linearly with increased RAA infusion. Furthermore, EIF4EBP1 gene expression was much lower for 3F-treated goats than for the NTAA treatment. Both MTOR and RPS6KB1 gene expressions were decreased quadratically with increased RAA supply. These results suggested that short-term milk protein yield tended to be increased by elevated ILMT availability, and this trend was not explained by variations in mammary mTOR signaling or pancreatic hormone secretions, whereas graded increase of RAA in combination with ILMT appeared to regulate the efficiency of conversion of glucose to lactose in a manner not involving milk protein production.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate effect of the contact surface between the bridge and the adjacent teeth on the stress distribution of the implant and bone tissue and the displacement of the prosthesis in the cantilever fixed implant bridge restoring missing mandibular central incisors. Methods: Two-dimensional images of the mandible and dentition in healthy adults were obtained using CT data. A three-dimensional finite element model of cantilever fixed bridge supported by implants with mandibular central incisor was established by computer reconstruction technique.The contact surface between the bridge and the adjacent natural tooth was designed as "oval" and "trapezoid". The "trapezoid" has a slightly smaller median diameter on the labial side and a slightly larger medial diameter on the lingual side. Loading of 120 N was applied on the tangential margin of the middle line of the long axis of the bridge 41. The direction was set at 0°, which was parallel to the long axis of the tooth and downward. The buccal to lingual and downward angles were 30°, 45° and 60°, respectively, perpendicular to the long axis of the tooth and 90° to the lingual side.The stress distribution of the implant and surrounding bone tissue and the displacement of the prosthesis were compared between the two models. Results: Under axial and buccolingual loading, the maximum equivalent stress peak in the implant and surrounding bone tissue in the cantilever with trapezoidal contact surface design and the maximum displacement of the prosthesis were lower. Moreover, the distribution of stress was more balanced and the concentration range of stress was smaller. With the loading angle increasing, this trend was more obvious. When loading angle increased to 90°, the maximum equivalent stress and the maximum displacement of the elliptic contact surface model implant and surrounding bone tissue were 196 and 101 MPa and 0.196 mm, respectively, while the trapezoidal contact surface model were 157 and 72 MPa and 0.164 mm, respectively. Conclusions: The trapezoidal contact surface of the bridge and the adjacent teeth in the cantilever fixed bridge supported by implants with mandibular central incisor is beneficial to reduce the impact of the leverage on the implant and surrounding bone tissue.

Abstract
Objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of supplementing rumen-protected methionine (RP-Met), threonine (RP-Thr), isoleucine (RP-Ile), and leucine (RP-Leu) individually or jointly to a low-protein diet, on the performance of lactating dairy cows, as well as to determine the effects of these amino acids (AA) on the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) in vivo. Ten lactating Holstein cows were randomly allocated to a repeated 5 × 5 Latin square experiment with five 19-d periods. Treatments were high-protein diet (16% crude protein, positive control; HP), low-protein diet (12% crude protein, negative control; LP), LP plus RP-Met (LPM), LP plus RP-Met and RP-Thr (LPMT), and LP plus RP-Met, RP-Thr, RP-Ile, and RP-Leu (LPMTIL). The dry matter intakes (DMI) of the LP, LPM, and LPMT diets were lower than that of the HP diet, whereas the DMI of the LPMTIL diet was intermediate between the HP diet and the other LP diets. Supplementing RP-Met to the LP diet increased the yields of milk and milk protein, increased the content of milk urea N, and tended to increase milk N efficiency. Co-supplementation of RP-Thr with RP-Met resulted in no further milk production increase. Co-supplementation of all 4 rumen-protected amino acids (RP-AA) increased milk and lactose yields to the level of the HP diet and tended to increase milk protein yield compared with the LPMT diet. We found no significant differences in the contents and yields of milk components between the LPMTIL and HP diets except for a lower milk urea N content in the LPMTIL diet. Venous concentrations of the measured AA were similar across the LP and LP diets supplemented with RP-AA. Relative to levels of the HP diet, LP diets had higher venous concentrations of Met and Gly and tended to have higher Phe concentration and lower concentrations of Val and BCAA. The LPMTIL diet had higher venous concentrations of Arg, Lys, Met, Phe, and Glu, and a lower Val concentration. Phosphorylation status of the measured mTOR components in LPM and LPMT treatments were similar to those in the LP treatment but phosphorylation status of mTOR and eIF4E-binding protein 1 (4eBP1) in LPMTIL treatment were higher. The phosphorylation rates of eukaryotic elongation factor 2 (eEF2) in the 4 LP and LP plus RP-AA diets were higher than that of the HP diet. Overall, results of the present study supported the concept that under the relatively short time of this experiment, supplementing RP-AA, which are believed to stimulate the mTOR signal pathway, can lead to increased milk protein yield. This increase appears to be due to increased DMI, greater mTOR signaling, and greater eEF2 activity.
