Abstract
Purpose Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a significant healthcare burden demanding prompt attention. In the past decade, newer technologies such as topical oxygen therapy have grown increasingly popular. The purpose of the study was to determine effect of KADAM-a topical warm oxygen therapy (TWOT) medical device in healing of DFU. Methods The KADAM medical device developed by Yostra Labs Pvt Ltd, delivered pure oxygen between 93 ± 3% concentration at an optimal temperature range of 39-42º Celsius to DFU wound site. Results A total of 40 diabetic foot ulcer individuals, aged over 18 years were included in the study. Individuals with the Grade 1 DFU were 34 (85%), grade 2 were 5 (12.5%) and grade 3 were 1 (2.5%). The changes in initial area and final area for the various diabetic foot ulcer grades were as follows: 0.32 [0.12, 0.96] (< 0.001) for grade 1 ulcer, 0.76 [0.54, 1.17] (P = 0.013) for grade 2 ulcer and 1.26 for grade 3 ulcer. The percentage reduction in wound size achieved for the grade 1 & 2 DFU were 100%, and grade 3 was 75%. Conclusion Topical warm oxygen therapy serves as an adjunctive modality to facilitate diabetic foot ulcer healing in the clinical practice.

Abstract
Purpose Diabetic foot ulcers are reported to be the most expensive complications of diabetes, with high morbidity and mortality rates. If the necessary care is not provided for the wound to heal, the individual may end up amputating the affected feet. Photobiomodulation therapy is a promising non-pharmacological treatment option for wound healing. The objective of the present study is to establish a dose-response relationship between photobiomodulation therapy and oxidative stress markers in the healing dynamics of diabetic neuropathic ulcers in Wistar rats. Methodology Diabetic neuropathy was induced in 126 Albino Wistar rats. An excisional wound of an area of 2cm2 was made on the neuropathy-induced leg. Photobiomodulation therapy of dosages 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 15 J/cm2 of wavelengths 655 and 808 nm was irradiated. The control group animals were kept un-irradiated. The outcome measures were assessed during wound healing's inflammatory, proliferative and remodelling phases. Results In the experimental group, animals treated with photobiomodulation therapy at doses of 4, 6, and 8 J/cm2 showed better wound healing dynamics. Photobiomodulation therapy modulated the reactive oxygen species and antioxidant levels, thereby improving the oxidative status of the wound. Conclusion Photobiomodulation therapy of dosages 4, 6, and 8 J/cm2 is effective and is a promising adjuvant modality in treating diabetic neuropathic ulcers. There was a strong dose-response relationship in the experimental groups treated with 4, 6 and 8 J/ cm2. Abstract
Purpose Smartphone is an impending solution to influence long-term behavior change, including physical activity; however, the evidence regarding personalized prescription remains mixed in obese. We aimed to explore the influence of smartphone-based physical activity promotion on weight loss and cognitive functions in obese young adults. Methods In our pilot randomised controlled trial, 24 obese adults were randomized to two conditions: (1) EXI group receiving a smartphone-application based personalized physical activity prescription; (2) CONT group continuing their routine work for eight weeks. Executive functions and cardiometabolic risk variables [body and fat mass, waist circumference (WC), blood pressure (BP)] and executive functions were measured before and after eight weeks. Results Our study findings revealed a significant improvement in reaction times with overall (H = 7.71, p = 0.005), congruent stimuli (H = 4.43, p = 0.03) and incongruent stimuli (H = 5.35, p = 0.02) between groups. Though EXI participants reduced their fat mass by 5.07 kg more than CONT group users after eight weeks, the findings were statistically insignificant. Similarly, our study did not find significant differences in body mass, WC, BP or accuracy between EXI and CONT groups. There was a decreased user engagement (H = 5.80, p = 0.564) after the 3rd week of the study period. Conclusion Short-term smartphone-based physical activity programs may offer favourable cognitive benefits to young adults; however, the weight loss benefits remain unconvincing. Trial Registration The study was registered prospectively with the Clinical Trials Registry of India (CTRI/2022/02/040202). Abstract
Accurate classification of laryngeal cancer is a critical step for diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Radiomics is a rapidly advancing field in medical image processing that uses various algorithms to extract many quantitative features from radiological images. The high dimensional features extracted tend to cause overfitting and increase the complexity of the classification model. Thereby, feature selection plays an integral part in selecting relevant features for the classification problem. In this study, we explore the predictive capabilities of radiomics on Computed Tomography (CT) images with the incidence of laryngeal cancer to predict the histopathological grade and T stage of the tumour. Working with a pilot dataset of 20 images, an experienced radiologist carefully annotated the supraglottic lesions in the three-dimensional plane. Over 280 radiomic features that quantify the shape, intensity and texture were extracted from each image. Machine learning classifiers were built and tested to predict the stage and grade of the malignant tumour based on the calculated radiomic features. To investigate if radiomic features extracted from CT images can be used for the classification of laryngeal tumours. Out of 280 features extracted from every image in the dataset, it was found that 24 features are potential classifiers of laryngeal tumour stage and 12 radiomic features are good classifiers of histopathological grade of the laryngeal tumor. The novelty of this paper lies in the ability to create these classifiers before the surgical biopsy procedure, giving the clinician valuable, timely information.

Abstract
Lateral medullary syndrome/Wallenberg syndrome, is a neurological disorder occurring due to ischemia in the lateral part of medullary oblongata resulting in wide range of symptoms. Dysphagia is usually exhibited in severe and persistent form in LMS. Hence timely intervention is mandatory before the patient further worsens. We describe a case of Lateral medullary syndrome with persisitent dysphagia who was managed successfully with cricopharyngeal myotomy.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Neutrophils are component of innate immune system and a) eliminate pathogens b) maintain immune homeostasis by regulating other immune cells and c) contribute to the resolution of inflammation. Neutrophil mediated inflammation has been described in pathogenesis of various diseases. This indicates neutrophils do not represent homogeneous population but perform multiple functions through confined subsets. Hence, in the present review we summarize various studies describing the heterogeneous nature of neutrophils and associated functions during steady state and pathological conditions. METHODOLOGY We performed extensive literature review with key words 'Neutrophil subpopulations' 'Neutrophil subsets', Neutrophil and infections', 'Neutrophil and metabolic disorders', 'Neutrophil heterogeneity' in PUBMED. RESULTS Neutrophil subtypes are characterized based on buoyancy, cell surface markers, localization and maturity. Recent advances in high throughput technologies indicate the existence of functionally diverse subsets of neutrophils in bone marrow, blood and tissues in both steady state and pathological conditions. Further, we found proportions of these subsets significantly vary in pathological conditions. Interestingly, stimulus specific activation of signalling pathways in neutrophils have been demonstrated. CONCLUSION Neutrophil sub-populations differ among diseases and hence, mechanisms regulating formation, sustenance, proportions and functions of these sub-types vary between physiological and pathological conditions. Hence, mechanistic insights of neutrophil subsets in disease specific manner may facilitate development of neutrophil-targeted therapies.

Abstract
Sarcomas are rare tumors arising from a variety of mesenchymal tissues which are even rarer in head and neck region amounting 1% only of the 5% of sarcomas. About 80% of head and neck sarcomas originate in soft tissue while the remaining 20% arise from bone (Cormier and Pollock in J Clin 54:94-109, 2004). One among the commonly presenting variants of sarcomas in head and neck that our patient was diagnosed with is Low grade myofibroblastic sarcoma (LGMS). These even though uncommon have a predilection for head and neck region particularly the tongue (Mentzel et al. in Am J Surg Pathol 22:1228-38, 1998; Cai et al. in Virchows Arch 463:827-36, 2013; Meng et al. in Chin Med J 120:363-9, 2007; Demarosi et al. in Oral Surg Oral Med Oral Pathol Oral Radiol Endod. 108:248-54, 2009). LGMS was reclassified as a distinct entity by the WHO classification of soft tissue tumors in 2002 (Qiu et al. in Oncol Lett 9:619-25, 2015). Oncological resection is the mainstay of treatment. In case of bulky tumor, resection and reconstruction would be challenging. We report a recurrent LGMS of 15-year-old girl who presented with a ginormous soft tissue swelling in her left neck region which made her day-to-day activities strenuous and made her non ambulatory and the line of treatment executed in order to get her back on feet, healthy & free of the debilitating tumor.

Abstract
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a complicated endocrinopathy with an unclear etiology that afflicts fertility status in women. Although the underlying causes and pathophysiology of PCOS are not completely understood, it is suspected to be driven by environmental factors as well as genetic and epigenetic factors. Bisphenol A (BPA) is a weak estrogenic endocrine disruptor known to cause adverse reproductive outcomes in women. A growing relevance supports the notion that BPA may contribute to PCOS pathogenesis. Due to the indeterminate molecular mechanisms of BPA in PCOS endocrinopathy, we sought liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), a metabolomics strategy that could generate a metabolic signature based on urinary BPA levels of PCOS and healthy individuals. Towards this, we examined urinary BPA levels in PCOS and healthy women by ELISA and performed univariate and chemometric analysis to distinguish metabolic patterns among high and low BPA in PCOS and healthy females, followed by pathway and biomarker analysis employing MetaboAnalyst 5.0. Our findings indicated aberrant levels of certain steroids, sphingolipids, and others, implying considerable disturbances in steroid hormone biosynthesis, linoleic, linolenic, sphingolipid metabolism, and various other pathways across target groups in comparison to healthy women with low BPA levels. Collectively, our findings provide insight into metabolic signatures of BPA-exposed PCOS women, which can potentially improve management strategies and precision medicine.

Abstract
This study aims to investigate public sentiment on laryngeal cancer via tweets in 2022 using machine learning. We aimed to analyze the public sentiment about laryngeal cancer on Twitter last year. A novel dataset was created for the purpose of this study by scraping all tweets from 1st Jan 2022 that included the hashtags #throatcancer, #laryngealcancer, #supraglotticcancer, #glotticcancer, and #subglotticcancer in their text. After all tweets underwent a fourfold data cleaning process, they were analyzed using natural language processing and sentiment analysis techniques to classify tweets into positive, negative, or neutral categories and to identify common themes and topics related to laryngeal cancer. The study analyzed a corpus of 733 tweets related to laryngeal cancer. The sentiment analysis revealed that 53% of the tweets were neutral, 34% were positive, and 13% were negative. The most common themes identified in the tweets were treatment and therapy, risk factors, symptoms and diagnosis, prevention and awareness, and emotional impact. This study highlights the potential of social media platforms like Twitter as a valuable source of real-time, patient-generated data that can inform healthcare research and practice. Our findings suggest that while Twitter is a popular platform, the limited number of tweets related to laryngeal cancer indicates that a better strategy could be developed for online communication among netizens regarding the awareness of laryngeal cancer.

Abstract
Raman spectroscopy offers the potential for fingerprinting biological molecules at ultra-low concentration and therefore has potential for the detection of viruses. Here we review various Raman techniques employed for the investigation of viruses. Different Raman techniques are discussed including conventional Raman spectroscopy, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, Raman tweezer, tip-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy, and coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering. Surface-enhanced Raman scattering can play an essential role in viral detection by multiplexing nanotechnology, microfluidics, and machine learning for ensuring spectral reproducibility and efficient workflow in sample processing and detection. The application of these techniques to diagnose the SARS-CoV-2 virus is also reviewed. Abstract
Detection of curvilinear structures from microscopic images, which help the clinicians to make an unambiguous diagnosis is assuming paramount importance in recent clinical practice. Appearance and size of dermatophytic hyphae, keratitic fungi, corneal and retinal vessels vary widely making their automated detection cumbersome. Automated deep learning methods, endowed with superior self-learning capacity, have superseded the traditional machine learning methods, especially in complex images with challenging background. Automatic feature learning ability using large input data with better generalization and recognition capability, but devoid of human interference and excessive pre-processing, is highly beneficial in the above context. Varied attempts have been made by researchers to overcome challenges such as thin vessels, bifurcations and obstructive lesions in retinal vessel detection as revealed through several publications reviewed here. Revelations of diabetic neuropathic complications such as tortuosity, changes in the density and angles of the corneal fibers have been successfully sorted in many publications reviewed here. Since artifacts complicate the images and affect the quality of analysis, methods addressing these challenges have been described. Traditional and deep learning methods, that have been adapted and published between 2015 and 2021 covering retinal vessels, corneal nerves and filamentous fungi have been summarized in this review. We find several novel and meritorious ideas and techniques being put to use in the case of retinal vessel segmentation and classification, which by way of cross-domain adaptation can be utilized in the case of corneal and filamentous fungi also, making suitable adaptations to the challenges to be addressed.

Abstract
AbstractChemogenomics, also known as proteochemometrics, covers various computational methods for predicting interactions between related drugs and targets on large-scale data. Chemogenomics is used in the early stages of drug discovery to predict the off-target effects of proteins against therapeutic candidates. This study aims to predict unknown ligand–target interactions using one-dimensional SMILES as inputs for ligands and binding site residues for proteins in a computationally efficient manner. We first formulate a Deep learning CNN model using one-dimensional SMILES for drugs and motif-rich binding pocket subsequences of proteins as inputs. We evaluate and compare the proposed deep learning model trained on expert-based features against shallow feature-based machine learning methods. The proposed method achieved better or similar performance on the MSE and AUPR metrics than the shallow methods. Additionally, We show that our deep learning model, DeepPS is computationally more efficient than the deep learning model trained on full-length raw sequences of proteins. We conclude that a beneficial research approach would be to integrate structural information of proteins for modeling drug-target interaction prediction of large datasets for more interpretability, high throughput, and broad applicability.

Abstract
Mental illnesses are a serious concern in India where every seventh person suffers from mental health problems-with women more affected than men. While the burden of perinatal mental illnesses grows, India lacks exclusive policies to address it. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on routine antenatal care and institutional deliveries and has also affected the mental health of pregnant women and mothers. We evaluated existing policies. Policy options were evaluated against criteria like cost-benefit analysis, administrative feasibility, human resources, and equity along with the intended and unintended consequences. We propose three policy options: (1) strengthening and focused implementation of the existing national mental health program (NMHP), (2) integrating mental health in the ongoing Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health Program, and (3) including a 'maternal' component in NMHP. We offered policy recommendations to fill the gap in addressing the maternal mental health challenge in India.

Background Early diagnosis and timely management of potentially malignant oral disorders may prevent malignant transformation and prompt diagnosis of frank malignancies favours better prognosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcome of surgical management of oral potentially malignant disorders of the oral cavity and observe the prevalence of recurrence at the primary site and occurrence of another potentially malignant lesion in these patients. Methods The study participants included patients who had undergone clinical oral examination, surgical excision of biopsy-proven cases of dysplastic oral potentially malignant disorders (leukoplakia, erythroplakia, non-healing ulcerative and erosive areas, etc.) who were on routine follow-up as per the standard guidelines. These patients were followed up closely during each monthly follow-up visit for the first year. The patients were then prospectively analysed for any recurrence of lesion. On follow-up visits, detailed clinical oral examination was done to note the prevalence of a new lesion in any oral cavity sub site other than the previous site. If a new lesion was detected, then biopsy followed by surgical excision was followed as per standard guidelines. The follow-up period after the second surgical intervention was 12 months. Results Fifty patients with potentially malignant oral disorders underwent surgical excision. The majority of the study subjects were males (39/50) and 41 of them were below 65 years of age. Of 50 patients, 13 (26%) had second oral potentially malignant lesion other than the primary site. The rate of recurrence of the lesions at the primary site was 4% (2/50). Of these patients with recurrence, all had malignant transformation (2/2). Also, patients who were initially diagnosed with moderate dysplasia had a higher chance of recurrence. A second lesion at a site different from the primary lesion was seen in 26% of the cases. Conclusion Surgical management of such lesions with one-centimetre oncological margins in all dimensions contrary to the routine five millimetre surgical margins reduces the chance of recurrence.

Abstract
There is very little knowledge on microplastic pollution in the Western Ghats (WG), a heritage site in southwest India. To address this, we have studied the spatiotemporal variations of sedimentary microplastics (MPs) from the River Sharavathi, a pristine river in the Western Ghats (WG), southern India. The rich biodiversity in the region makes it relevant to analyse the distribution of this emerging pollutant that is causing harm to the biota and the ecosystem. We analysed the sedimentological and carbon content (organic and inorganic) of these sediments and explored their relationship with MPs. Finally, risk assessment indices such as the Pollution Load Index (PLI), the Polymer Hazard Index (PHI), and the Potential Ecological Risk Index (PERI) were calculated to detect the levels of plastic pollution. The concentration of MPs ranged from 2.5 to 57.5 pieces/kg and 0 to 15 pieces/kg during the pre-monsoon and post-monsoon seasons, respectively. The dip in the MPs' abundance during the post-monsoon season was due to the extremely high rainfall in the river basin during July-August 2019, which would have entrained the sedimentary MPs and transported them to the coast/Arabian Sea. Smaller MPs (0.3-1 mm) were more abundant than the larger MPs (1-5 mm), mainly due to the breakdown of sedimentary plastics by physical processes. Fragments, films, foams, and fibres were the main categories of MPs, and the main polymers were polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, and polypropylene. No significant relationship was observed between the sedimentological properties and microplastics, which may be due to the different physical properties of sediments and microplastics. The PLI, PHI, and PERI indices suggest different contamination levels in the river basin. Based on the PLI scores, all the samples belong to the hazardous level I suggesting minor risk category, and the risk of microplastic pollution falls under the high to hazardous risk category based on the PHI values. The PERI value ranged from 160 to 440 and 40 to 2240 during the pre-monsoon and post-monsoon seasons, respectively. The risk assessment in a region known for its rich biodiversity is crucial, as the data can be used by the district administration to mitigate plastic pollution.

Abstract
Cervical cancer is an aggressive type of cancer affecting women worldwide. Many affected individuals rely on smear tests for the diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation for their treatment. However, due to a broad set of undesired results and side-effects associated with the existing protocols, the search for better diagnostic and therapeutic interventions is a never-ending pursuit. In the purview, the bio-concentration of trace elements (copper, selenium, zinc, iron, arsenic, manganese, and cadmium) is seen to fluctuate during the occurrence of cervical cancer and its progression from pre-cancerous to metastatic nature. Thus, during the occurrence of cervical cancer, the detection of trace elements and their supplementation will prove to be highly advantageous in developing diagnostic tools and therapeutics, respectively. This review provides a detailed overview of cervical cancer, its encouragement by human papillomavirus infections, the mechanism of pathology, and resistance. Majorly, the review emphasizes the less explored role of trace elements, their contribution to the growth and inhibition of cervical cancer. Numerous clinical trials have been listed, thereby providing a comprehensive reference to the exploration of trace elements in the management of cervical cancer.

Abstract
Owing to differences in clinical approaches toward videofluoroscopic swallowing studies (VFSS), professional and governing bodies in some countries have implemented guidelines for performing VFSS. However, in India, the establishment of such practice guidelines is in initial stages of acceptance and there are no uniform guidelines. The aim of the current study was to investigate and describe the clinical practice patterns related to VFSS assessments among Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in India. An electronic survey consisting of 34 questions categorized into four main sections (demographic details and education; current practice; instrumental and technical considerations; protocol and assessment methods) was sent to SLPs registered with the Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA) through email and social media from August 2020 to January 2021. A total of 129 eligible responses were received. More than 50% of the participants used a standard assessment and analysis protocol. Barium and water-soluble contrasts were mostly used, and 97% of participants did not know what percent weight to volume (w/v) or volume to volume (v/v) contrast to fluid were used. Considerable amount of variability was observed in the responses of our participants, which was consistent with international surveys of VFSS practice patterns. Lack of adequate radiation safety measures was also observed. Our findings suggest a need to increase awareness and training among Indian SLPs in technical and procedural aspects of VFSS, and more sensitization toward radiation safety. ISHA should consider forming a committee to develop and adopt uniform nationwide practices in VFSS. Future studies exclusively investigating barriers and facilitators to VFSS practice in the Indian scenario are necessary.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) belongs to the family Pneumoviridae. It is one of the emerging respiratory viruses causing both upper and lower respiratory tract illnesses. HMPV has two genotypes: A and B. These genotypes are classified into lineage A1, A2, B1 and B2. Lineage-A2 is further classified as A2a, A2b and A2c. Similarly, B2 is classified as B2a and B2b. Studies have shown the circulation of A2b, B1 and B2 lineages in India. However, a limited amount of data is available on the current circulating genotypes of HMPV in India. METHODS Throat swab samples positive for HMPV by real-time RT- PCR, archived at Manipal Institute of Virology as a part of a hospital-based acute febrile illness surveillance study, was used from April 2016 to August 2018 by purposive sampling method. We performed the conventional reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction for twenty samples targeting the G gene and then subjected them to sequencing. Phylogenetic analysis was done using MEGA X software by the Maximum Likelihood method. RESULTS All the twenty sequences belonged to the A2c subgroup. Phylogenetic analysis showed that strains from the study have genetic relation with circulating strains in Japan, China and Croatia. Seven out of the twenty sequences showed 180-nucleotide duplication and eleven sequences showed 111-nucleotide duplication. Two sequences did not show any duplications. CONCLUSION In the current study, we report that A2c is the sub-lineage in India from April 2016 to August 2018. This study is the first retrospective study reporting the circulation of the A2c sub-lineage among adults in India with 180- and 111-nucleotide duplications in the G gene of human metapneumovirus.

Abstract
Understanding the virology of the coronavirus at the structural level has gained utmost importance to overcome the constant and long-term health complications induced by them. In this work, the light scattering properties of SARS-CoV-2 of size 140 nm were simulated by using discrete dipole approximation (DDA) for two incident wavelengths 200 nm and 350 nm, respectively. Three different 3-dimensional (3D) models of SARS-CoV-2 corresponding to 15, 20, and 40 numbers of spike proteins on the viral capsid surface were constructed as target geometries for the DDA calculations. These models were assessed by employing Stokes-Mueller polarimetry to obtain individual polarization properties such as degree of polarization (DOP), degree of linear polarization (DOLP), and degree of circular polarization (DOCP). Irrespective of its spike numbers, all the coronavirus models were found to display higher DOP and DOCP values and negligibly small DOLP values for circularly polarized incident light, indicating the presence of chiral structures. On the other hand, the lack of understanding about the dependence of the Mueller matrix on its microstructural properties was overcome by transforming 16 Mueller elements into sub-matrices with specific structural and physical properties using Lu-Chipman-based Mueller matrix polar decomposition method. The obtained properties such as retardance, diattenuation, and depolarization were used for investigating the composition and microstructural information. The approach presented in this work has the potential to understand the virology of the coronavirus at the structural level and, therefore, will be beneficial in developing effective detection strategies by exploiting their characteristic electromagnetic scattering signatures.

Abstract
Trace metals act as a limiting nutrient and prerequisite for primary productivity in marine environments. The distribution of metals in dissolved phase along the salinity gradients of Swarna, Sharavati and Kali estuaries in southwestern India, during post and pre-monsoon seasons, were studied. We have investigated the behaviour of trace metals in the estuarine environment and their extent of impact on human health and ecosystem. The study revealed, non-conservative behaviour of dissolved Mn, Fe, Ni, Cd and Co in the estuaries. Whereas Cu behaved non-conservatively in post-monsoon and conservatively in pre-monsoon seasons. Risk assessment studies revealed that higher chronic daily intake (CDI) in humans, through dermal pathway, in Swarna and Sharavati estuaries during post-monsoon, whereas it was during pre-monsoon season in the Kali estuary. Hazard Index values for the studied metals in adults and children are below risk thresholds, though children are more prone to health risk through the dermal pathway.

Abstract
Multivalvular heart disease (MVD) is an aggregate of regurgitant and/or stenotic lesions of at least two cardiac valves. Ventricular tissue deformation imaging is a powerful predictor of subclinical myocardial dysfunction in patients with MVD.The aim of this study was to examine the left and right ventricular strain patterns in MVD as well as observe any association between right-sided valvular involvement (tricuspid or pulmonary valve lesion) with that of aortic and/or mitral valve lesion. Patients with at least moderate forms of MVD were included in the present study. 72 patients with mean age of 56.69 ± 14.59 years and various presentations of MVD were finally enrolled in this study. The commonest cause for MVD was rheumatic heart disease in these patients. Conventional 2-dimensional parameters as well as tissue deformation imaging parameters were assessed in offline mode for these patients. The Mean ± SD values for various quantitative 2D echocardiographic conventional and tissue deformation imaging were assessed. It was observed that LV strain parameters including the global longitudinal strain (GLS) were preserved whereas the RV strain parameters were mildly reduced (RV GLS total is - 19.49 ± 6.08%). Also, when conventional echocardiographic parameters were assessed to see any association between aortic and/or mitral valve disease with that of right-sided valvular lesions (tricuspid or pulmonary); 2D conventional echocardiographic parameters like left atrial dimension (p = 0.034), TAPSE (tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion) (p < 0.001), RVSP (right ventricular systolic pressure) (p < 0.001) and IVC (inferior vena cava) dimensions (p < 0.001) showed a statistically significant result; whereas, when strain parameters for LV and RV were assessed, they did not show any statistical difference for the same. In this series of patients with significant MVD, our findings suggest that ventricular strain parameters may be reliable markers of myocardial dysfunction, but may alter depending on the underlying combination of MVD, and right ventricular strain should also be an important parameter while assessing different combinations of MVD.

Abstract
Aim and Objectives The study aims to assess the incidence and features of temporomandibular joint(TMJ) dysfunction in post-surgical treatment of unilateral zygomaticomaxillary complex(ZMC) fractures.The objectives are:To assess severity of TMJ dysfunction in postoperative cases of ZMC fractures.To create awareness of the same among clinicians. Methods Patients presenting with zygomaticomaxillary complex fractures were evaluated prospectively. Evaluation of TMJ dysfunction was done by different parameters via questionnaire, clinical and radiographic examination preoperatively and a follow-up period of 1 week, 3 months and 6 months. The parameters were, clicking of joint, pain on opening /closing, pain on biting, deviation of mandible, pain in the preauricular region, ringing sound and mouth opening. Statistical analysis was done by the Friedman test and Post Hoc analysis. Results On presentation, 69.1% patients diagnosed with ZMC fractures presented with symptoms related to TMJ dysfunction. Post-surgery 1 week majority findings persisted, with 21 patients complained of pain on opening or closing and 2 patients with a persistent opening click. These symptoms, however, decreased over the 3 month and 6 month follow up period. 5 patients presented with decreased mouth opening which was attributed to lack of adequate physiotherapy. Conclusion Patients presented with mild symptoms of TMJ dysfunction until 6 months post-surgery, however these symptoms weren't significant as the pain score assessed was found to decrease in the following post-operative periods. And the symptoms present were'nt exclusive to conclude a TMJ dysfunction. Early treatment and a close follow up are key to prevent progression of symptoms.

Abstract
AbstractThe outbreak of COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) prompted number of computational and laboratory efforts to discover molecules against the virus entry or replication. Simultaneously, due to the availability of clinical information, drug-repurposing efforts led to the discovery of 2-deoxy-d-glucose (2-DG) for treating COVID-19 infection. 2-DG critically accumulates in the infected cells to prevent energy production and viral replication. As there is no clarity on the impact of genetic variations on the efficacy and adverse effects of 2-DG in treating COVID-19 using in silico approaches, we attempted to extract the genes associated with the 2-DG pathway using the Comparative Toxicogenomics Database. The interaction between selected genes was assessed using ClueGO, to identify the susceptible gene loci for SARS-CoV infections. Further, SNPs that were residing in the distinct genomic regions were retrieved from the Ensembl genome browser and characterized. A total of 80 SNPs were retrieved using diverse bioinformatics resources after assessing their (a) detrimental influence on the protein stability using Swiss-model, (b) miRNA regulation employing miRNASNP3, PolymiRTS, MirSNP databases, (c) binding of transcription factors by SNP2TFBS, SNPInspector, and (d) enhancers regulation using EnhancerDB and HaploReg reported A2M rs201769751, PARP1 rs193238922 destabilizes protein, six polymorphisms of XIAP effecting microRNA binding sites, EGFR rs712829 generates 15 TFBS, BECN1 rs60221525, CASP9 rs4645980, SLC2A2 rs5393 impairs 14 TFBS, STK11 rs3795063 altered 19 regulatory motifs. These data may provide the relationship between genetic variations and drug effects of 2-DG which may further assist in assigning the right individuals to benefit from the treatment.

Abstract
In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in understanding the Massive open online courses (MOOCs) due to its gaining popularity. Even though the number of online platforms and programs has grown during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is still a high rate of dropout and non-completion. In this work, the expectation-confirmation model is combined with MOOC features such as perceived openness, perceived reputation, and other factors i.e., perceived enjoyment, and perceived computer self-efficacy to investigate the learner's continued intention to use MOOC. A survey was undertaken and the data was collected from 383 students pursuing their degrees (undergraduate and post-graduate) in Karnataka state, India. The collected data were analyzed with structural equation modelling in Smart PLS 3. The study confirms a significant influence of confirmation and perceived usefulness on satisfaction, and direct significant influence of perceived computer self-efficacy, satisfaction, and perceived usefulness on continuance intention. Also, the results demonstrated the significant influence of confirmation on perceived enjoyment and usefulness and the effect of computer self-efficacy on usefulness. The findings in this study indicate that the MOOC platforms should focus on confirming learner expectations and the usefulness of courses to ensure student satisfaction and continuance of courses.

Abstract
In recent decades, medium-sized Indian cities have experienced accelerated urban growth due to the saturation of large cities. Such rapid urban growth combined with inadequate urban planning has triggered urban sprawl in medium-sized Indian cities. In this context, the present study focuses on the geospatial measurement of urban sprawl in four rapidly expanding Indian medium-sized cities located in diverse physiographic regions, such as Lucknow urban agglomeration (UA), Bhubaneswar UA, Raipur UA, and Dehradun UA. Multi-temporal Landsat imageries from 1991 to 2021 were downloaded for land cover classification through the maximum likelihood classification tool in ArcGIS 10.3. Thereafter, spatiotemporal land cover change detection was performed based on the classified land cover maps. The presence of urban sprawl was detected using the relative entropy index while the urban expansion index quantified the urban sprawl typologies such as edge expansion, leapfrog development, and ribbon development. The results exhibited a rapid rise in built-up land cover from 1991 to 2021. The prevalence of urban sprawl was detected in all four cities as per the relative entropy index. Edge expansion typology of urban sprawl was dominant compared to leapfrog development and ribbon development. Such urban growth phenomenon creates a hindrance in promoting sustainable urban development in medium-sized Indian cities. The results obtained from this paper would assist urban planners and policymakers in developing strategies to encourage planned urban growth.
