Abstract
Arylsulfonylindole and arylsulfenylindole motifs stand as privileged scaffolds in drug discovery. Traditional methods for synthesizing these molecules have relied mainly on prefunctionalized precursors, involving multistep processes and generating a large amount of waste. In this study, we present a modular protocol for the preparation of 3-sulfonylindoles and 3-sulfenylindoles using indoles and thiols as starting materials via hexamolybdate/H2O2-mediated oxidative dehydrogenative C-S coupling. Notably, this method features a simple reaction setup and uses readily available thiols as a sulfide source, H2O2 as a green oxidant and oxygen source, alcohol as solvent, recyclable hexamolybdate as a catalyst, and water as the sole byproduct. These metrics are an acceptable green organic synthesis process.

Abstract
A Heck-type alkylation of enamides with N-trifluoroethyl hydroxylamine reagents was developed under photocatalytic conditions. This stereoselective reaction provides amido-substituted (E)-α-trifluoromethyl allylamines in yields up to 96%. In the mechanism, photoredox-induced 1,2-H shift of the in situ generated N-trifluoroethyl radical was involved.

Abstract
We have developed a novel three-component synthesis of sulfonyl enamines by reacting secondary and tertiary amines with sodium sulfinic acid salt, a reaction that is mediated by silver acetate. The choice of solvent determines whether sulfonyl enamines or dienamines are obtained. The overall atom economy of this multicomponent reaction was further improved by isolating the resulting elemental silver and reconverting it into silver acetate.

Abstract
Selectively producing a variety of valuable compounds using controlled chemical reactions starting from a common material is an appealing yet complex concept. Herein, a photocatalytic approach for the selective synthesis of (E)-β-aminovinyl sulfones and (E)-β-amidovinyl sulfones from allenamides and sodium sulfinates was established. This reaction exhibits the traits of an eco-friendly solvent and adjustable amide cleavage, and can accommodate a diverse range of substrates with exceptional functional group tolerance. Based on control experiments and deuterium labeling experiments, a plausible radical reaction pathway is proposed.

Abstract
Herein, the efficient photoredox/nickel dual-catalyzed cyanoalkylation reaction of enamides is illustrated. A wide scope of enamides and cycloketone oxime esters was well-tolerated, affording the synthetically versatile and geometrically defined β-cyanoalkylated enamide scaffolds. The synthetic practicality of this protocol was revealed by gram-scale reactions, further transformations of enamides, and late-stage modifications of biologically active molecules.

Abstract
Alkenes and their derivatives are featured widely in a variety of natural products, pharmaceuticals, and advanced materials. Significant efforts have been made toward the development of new and practical methods to access this important class of compounds by selectively activating the alkenyl C(sp2)-H bonds in recent years. In this comprehensive review, we describe the state-of-the-art strategies for the direct functionalization of alkenyl sp2 C-H and C-F bonds until June 2022. Moreover, metal-free, photoredox, and electrochemical strategies are also covered. For clarity, this review has been divided into two parts; the first part focuses on currently available alkenyl sp2 C-H functionalization methods using different alkene derivatives as the starting materials, and the second part describes the alkenyl sp2 C-F bond functionalization using easily accessible gem-difluoroalkenes as the starting material. This review includes the scope, limitations, mechanistic studies, stereoselective control (using directing groups as well as metal-migration strategies), and their applications to complex molecule synthesis where appropriate. Overall, this comprehensive review aims to document the considerable advancements, current status, and emerging work by critically summarizing the contributions of researchers working in this fascinating area and is expected to stimulate novel, innovative, and broadly applicable strategies for alkenyl sp2 C-H and C-F bond functionalizations in the coming years.

Abstract
A concise manganese(III)-promoted stereoselective β-phosphorylation of acyclic tertiary enamides and diverse H-phosphine oxides was achieved. This reaction proceeds with absolute E-selectivity in contrast to Z-selectivity obtained in other previous works and affords various E-selective β-phosphorylated tertiary enamides in high efficiency. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of E-selective β-phosphorylation of tertiary enamides through C-H functionalization. In addition, the method features broad substrate scope, good functional group compatibility and efficient scale-up.

Abstract
A radical chain isomerization of N-sulfonyl ynamides to isolable ketenimines is developed, featuring mild reaction conditions, a high efficiency, ∼100% atom economy, a broad substrate scope, and column chromatography-free workup in most cases. Meanwhile, an unprecedented dearomatization of furans is achieved by the radical chain isomerization-triggered aza-Claisen rearrangement, providing highly chemo-, regio-, stereo-, and diastereoselective access to functionalized quaternary nitriles.

Abstract
A metal- and base-free C(sp2)-H direct arylsulfonylation of secondary and tertiary enamides with aryldiazonium salts and ex situ generated SO2 (from SOgen) is presented. This method runs smoothly to produce β-amidovinyl sulfones with excellent stereoselectivities in moderate to excellent yields. Moreover, this strategy features good functional group tolerance and environmentally benign reaction conditions. Mechanistic experiments indicate that this sulfonylation may proceed in a radical pathway.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Enamines and their variant enamides as powerful and versatile synthons have attracted great attention in synthetic chemistry. Enamides display unique stability and reduce enaminic reactivity in view of the electron-withdrawing effect of N-acyl group. A great deal of satisfactory achievements in the synthesis and application of enamides has been made in recent years. Especially, tertiary enamides without N-H bond regarded as low reactivity of compounds in the past can act as excellent nucleophiles to react with electrophiles for the construction of various nitrous molecules. OBJECTIVE This review focuses on recent advances on tertiary enamides in the synthetic strategies and applications including addition, coupling reaction, functionalization and electro- or photo-chemical reaction. CONCLUSION Tertiary enamides as electron-deficient nucleophiles display a satisfactory balance between stability and reactivity to offer multiple opportunities for the construction of various functionalized nitrogencontaining compounds. Further exploration of the reactive mechanisms involved tertiary enamides and the development of novel and efficient transformations to generate ever more complex building blocks starting from tertiary enamides are particularly worth pursuing.

Abstract
The boom in visible light photoredox catalysis (VLPC) research has demonstrated that this novel synthetic approach is here to stay. VLPC enables reactive radical intermediates to be catalytically generated at ambient temperature, a feat not generally allowed through traditional pyrolysis- or radical initiator-based methodologies. VLPC has vastly extended the range of substrates and reaction schemes that have been traditionally the domain of radical reactions. In this review the photophysics background of VLPC will be briefly discussed, followed by a report on recent inroads of VLPC into decarboxylative couplings and radical C-H functionalization of aromatic compounds. The bulk of the review will be dedicated to advances in synergistic catalysis involving VLPC, namely the combination of photoredox catalysis with organocatalysis, including β-functionalization of carbonyl groups, functionalization of weak aliphatic C-H bonds, and anti-Markovnikov hydrofunctionalization of alkenes; dual catalysis with gold or with nickel, photoredox catalysis as an oxidation promoter in transition metal catalysis, and acid-catalyzed enantioselective radical addition to π systems.

Abstract
An unprecedented palladium-catalyzed oxidative annulation of acrylamides with benzyne precursors has been successfully developed. By using this mild "N-H activation/Heck reaction" method, a wide variety of quinolinones were conveniently prepared in one step with high efficiency.
