Abstract
Herein we report a linear ionic molecule that assembles into a supramolecular nano-tunnel structure through synergy of trident-type ionic interactions and π-π stacking interactions. The nano-tunnel crystal exhibits anisotropic guest adsorption behavior. The material shows good thermal stability and undergoes multi-stage single-crystal-to-single-crystal phase transformations to a nonporous structure on heating. The material exhibits a remarkable chemical stability under both acidic and basic conditions, which is rarely observed in supramolecular organic frameworks and is often related to structures with designed hydrogen-bonding interactions. Because of the high polarity of the tunnels, this molecular crystal also shows a large CO2 -adsorption capacity while excluding other gases at ambient temperature, leading to high CO2 /CH4 selectivity. Aggregation-induced emission of the molecules gives the bulk crystals vapochromic properties.

Abstract
We present a facile approach to encapsulate functional porous organic cages (POCs) into a robust MOF by an incipient-wetness impregnation method. Porous cucurbit[6]uril (CB6) cages with high CO2 affinity were successfully encapsulated into the nanospace of Cr-based MIL-101 while retaining the crystal framework, morphology, and high stability of MIL-101. The encapsulated CB6 amount is controllable. Importantly, as the CB6 molecule with intrinsic micropores is smaller than the inner mesopores of MIL-101, more affinity sites for CO2 are created in the resulting CB6@MIL-101 composites, leading to enhanced CO2 uptake capacity and CO2 /N2 , CO2 /CH4 separation performance at low pressures. This POC@MOF encapsulation strategy provides a facile route to introduce functional POCs into stable MOFs for various potential applications.

Abstract
Both known and new CC3-based porous organic cages are prepared and exposed to acidic SO2 in vapor and liquid conditions. Distinct differences in the stability of the CC3 cages exist depending on the chirality of the diamine linkers used. The acid catalyzed CC3 degradation mechanism is probed via in situ IR and a degradation pathway is proposed and supported with computational results. CC3 crystals synthesized with racemic mixtures of diaminocyclohexane exhibited enhanced stability compared to CC3-R and CC3-S. Confocal fluorescent microscope images reveal that the stability difference in CC3 species originates from an abundance of mesoporous grain boundaries in CC3-R and CC3-S, allowing facile access of aqueous SO2 throughout the crystal, promoting decomposition. These grain boundaries are absent from CC3 crystals made with racemic linkers.

Abstract
Shape-persistent covalent organic polyhedrons (COPs) with ethynylene linkers are usually prepared through kinetically controlled cross-coupling reactions. The high-yielding synthesis of ethynylene-linked rigid tetrameric cages via one-step alkyne metathesis from readily accessible triyne precursors is presented. The tetrameric cage contains two macrocyclic panels and exhibits D2h symmetry. The assembly of such a COP is a thermodynamically controlled process, which involves the initial formation of macrocycles as key intermediates followed by the connection of two macrocycles with ethynylene linkages. With a large internal cavity, the cage exhibits a high binding selectivity toward C70 (K = 3.9×10(3) L mol(-1)) over C60 (no noticeable binding).
