Abstract
Here, we present the first instance of a highly efficient red tetramer aggregate with tunable emission based on a cationic platinum(II) complex in conjunction with a silver cluster anion counterpart. This system exhibits multicolor emission response behaviors, which can be conveniently and directly detected through spectroscopic analysis, showcasing intriguing luminescence changes. The self-assembly of Pt⋯, π-π, and hydrogen bonding interactions not only enables an intriguing color adjustment from green to yellow emission, and eventually to red emission, but also demonstrates the co-existence of the monomer, excimer, and aggregation. These phenomena are further accompanied by well-defined nanostructures. The self-assembly process of these structures exhibits an isodesmic growth mechanism, which is dependent on temperature. In this regard, it exhibits potential applicability in multi-mode logic gates that rely on external stimuli such as concentration, solvent, and temperature. The sensitivity of the aggregates towards chemical stimuli combined with their exceptionally bright emission characteristics renders them suitable for diverse applications including solid-state lighting sensing mechanisms and anticounterfeiting measures. The multi-stimuli responsive phosphorescence and self-assembly behaviors of the cationic platinum(II) complex were substantiated by X-ray crystal structure determination, 1H NMR analysis spectroscopic investigations, computational calculations and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies.

Abstract
We use the two-photon excited fluorescence method to determine the two-photon absorption (2PA) cross sections of three series of (fluorenyl benzothiazole) gold(I) complexes in the visible wavelength range from 570 to 700 nm. We compare the effect of ancillary ligand substitutions on the 2PA magnitudes and find that the ancillary ligand does not drastically affect either the magnitude or the shape of 2PA. Even so, moderate 2PA cross sections were measured that ranged from 10 to 1000 s of GM (Göppert-Mayer, =10-50cm4s/photon), making these types of complexes nonlinear optical materials for two-photon absorbing applications.

Abstract
Femtosecond transient difference absorption (fs TA) measurements, together with a series of open-aperture Z scans at picosecond and nanosecond pulse widths and a variety of pulse energies, were performed on a 1,10-phenanthrolinyl iridium(III) complex bearing ligands containing a benzothiazolylfluorenyl motif. An analysis of decay data from the fs TA experiment yields a value of 1.24±0.26 ns for the singlet excited-state lifetime τ(S) of the complex. By fitting the Z scans to a five-level dynamic model incorporating the independently measured value of τ(S) and previously reported values of the complex's triplet quantum yield (0.13) and triplet excited-state lifetime (230 ns), we obtain values of 3.5×10(-17) cm(2) (singlet) and 5.0×10(-16) cm(2) (triplet) for the excited-state absorption cross-sections of the complex in toluene solution at 532 nm; the latter value represents one of the largest triplet excited-state absorption cross-sections ever reported at this wavelength. The ratio of the triplet excited-state cross-section to the ground-state absorption cross-section exceeds 3800.

Abstract
New complexes with six ferrocenyl (Fc) groups connected to Zn(II) or Cd(II) tris(2,2'-bipyridyl) cores are described. A thorough characterisation of their BPh4(-) salts includes two single-crystal X-ray structures, highly unusual for such species with multiple, extended substituents. Intense, visible d(Fe(II))→π* metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MLCT) bands accompany the π→π* intraligand charge-transfer absorptions in the near UV region. Each complex shows a single, fully reversible Fe(III/II) wave when probed electrochemically. Molecular quadratic nonlinear optical (NLO) responses are determined by using hyper-Rayleigh scattering and Stark spectroscopy. The latter gives static first hyperpolarisabilities β0 reaching as high as approximately 10(-27) esu and generally increasing with π-conjugation extension. Z-scan cubic NLO measurements reveal high two-photon absorption cross-sections σ2 of up to 5400 GM in one case. DFT calculations reproduce the π-conjugation dependence of β0, and TD-DFT predicts three transitions close in energy contributing to the MLCT bands. The lowest energy transition has octupolar character, whereas the other two are degenerate and dipolar in nature.

Abstract
Pt(II) complexes bearing 4-(7-(benzothiazol-2'-yl)-9,9-diethylfluoren-2-yl)-2,2':6',2″-terpyridine or 4-(7-(benzothiazol-2'-yl)-9,9-diethylfluoren-2-yl)ethynyl-2,2':6',2″-terpyridine ligand exhibit strong reverse saturable absorption in the visible spectral region and large two-photon initiated excited-state absorption in the near-IR region. They are promising broadband nonlinear absorbing materials from the visible to the near-IR region. The extended π-conjugation in complex 2 that has a C≡C linker between the terpyridine ligand and the 4-(7-(benzothiazol-2'-yl)-9,9-diethylfluoren-2-yl) substituent significantly increases the two-photon absorption cross sections (σ(2)), making it among the strongest of two-photon absorbing Pt(II) complexes.
