Abstract
PURPOSE Anxiety is a common mental health issue during pregnancy. Moreover, women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) seem to have to cope with higher levels of anxiety, being at higher risk for several health and mental complications. Women with GDM are recommended to undertake regular physical exercise to improve metabolic and reproductive outcomes. However, there are no specific guidelines for exercise in women with GDM and data on its relationship with mental health are scarce. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of exercise on anxiety symptoms in pregnant women with GDM. METHODS The present non-randomized, open-label clinical trial was a pilot study intended to provide initial data on the effect of exercise on anxiety symptoms of pregnant women with GDM. Forty-three women were assigned to three the following three study groups, (a) Advice Group (n = 17), Walking Group (n = 14), and Mixed Exercise Group (n = 12), from GDM diagnosis to delivery. RESULTS Based on the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) scores, all groups showed normal anxiety changes or mild anxiety levels pre- and post-intervention, ranging between 9.00 (1.00-32.00) (pre-intervention) and 7.5 (1.00-26.00) (post-intervention), but none experienced severe anxiety. CONCLUSION In the present study, a trend of self-selected pace walking to reduce the BAI scores was identified since the Walking Groups had lower scores after the intervention. However, this trend did not reach statistical significance. Brisk walking (30-45 min) three times per week may produce positive changes in both the treatment plan and the anxiety state of women with GDM. Moreover, the study confirms that routine medical care, counseling, and support by an interdisciplinary team are protective against anxiety in women with GDM.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE During pregnancy, prenatal anxiety is one of the most common mental disorders that women experience. This study aims to assess the prevalence of prenatal anxiety among Chinese pregnant women and explore the parallel mediating role of resilience and sleep quality in the relationship between self-efficacy and prenatal anxiety. METHODS Between February and June 2023, a total of 1071 pregnant women were recruited from three hospitals in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China, using a convenience sampling method. The participants completed general survey questionnaires and were assessed using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, the 10-item Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, and the Chinese version of the General Self-Efficacy Scale. In addition, a hierarchical multiple regression analysis was employed to investigate the relevant and mediating factors of prenatal anxiety. This study utilized a structural equation model to examine the mediating role of resilience and sleep quality in the relationship between self-efficacy and prenatal anxiety. RESULTS Multivariate regression analysis showed that self-efficacy, resilience, and sleep quality were associated with prenatal anxiety (P < 0.05). The results of the mediation analysis indicated that resilience and sleep quality acted as fully mediators between self-efficacy and prenatal anxiety. The mediating effect of resilience was -1.8970 (95% CI -2.5259 to -1.3145), accounting for 72.07% of the total effect, and the mediating effect of sleep quality was -0.5482 (95% CI -0.7450 to -0.3726), accounting for 20.83% of the total effect. While self-efficacy accounted for 7.10% of the total effect (P = 0.5625), resilience, and sleep quality fully mediated prenatal anxiety. CONCLUSION In Chinese pregnant women, the study revealed that sleep quality and resilience played a fully mediating role in the impact of self-efficacy on symptoms of prenatal anxiety. This suggests that enhancing resilience, improving sleep quality, and promoting self-efficacy may help alleviate symptoms of prenatal anxiety.

Abstract
The global prevalence of psychological problems in different trimesters is unclear due to methodological constraints in previous reviews. A precise estimate would be a key first step in raising awareness and allocating resources. This review aims to (1) calculate the global prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms during different trimesters and (2) determine the factors influencing their prevalence estimates. A comprehensive search across eight databases was conducted. The meta packages in R software were used to perform meta-analysis, subgroup analysis, and meta-regression analysis. The Newcastle Ottawa Scale was used to assess the study quality, while the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation method was utilized to assess the certainty of the evidence. A total of 88 studies with 61,719 participants across 48 countries were included. The prevalences of depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms during all trimesters were 27% (95% CI: 23-31), 37% (95% CI: 31-42), and 26% (95% CI: 9-49), respectively. The second trimester had the highest prevalence of depression (30%) and anxiety (28%) symptoms, whereas the third trimester had the highest prevalence of stress symptoms (52%). A series of subgroup and meta-regression analyses revealed that regions, economic levels of the country, setting, the COVID-19 pandemic, and quality of study were significant factors. Most studies were high quality, but the certainty of the evidence was very low. Findings can contribute as evidence to raising awareness about specific psychological problems during different trimesters. Implementing effective policies and launching targeted interventions can help minimize the prevalence.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION This study aimed to assess state-trait anxiety level changes in Chinese patients with dentofacial discrepancies before and after orthognathic surgery and to explore the feasibility of developing a reference index for the preoperative screening of postoperative patients with high anxiety. METHODS A total of 96 Chinese patients with dentofacial discrepancies who underwent orthognathic surgery were included in this study. Data were collected before orthognathic surgery and at 2 weeks (T2), 3 months, and 6 months (T4) after surgery using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. Receiver operating characteristic and linear regression analyses were performed to screen for preoperative indicators of postoperative high-state anxiety. RESULTS State-trait anxiety levels in patients with dentofacial discrepancies decreased after surgery (F = 18.95, P <0.01; F = 6.90, P <0.01). Trait Anxiety Inventory can be used to screen patients with high-state anxiety from T2 to T4 (area under cover 95% confidence interval: T2, 0.74 [0.62-0.86]; 3 months, 0.79 [0.69-0.90]; T4, 0.77 [0.66-0.87], P <0.01), corresponding to cutoff values of 48.5, 46.5, and 45.5, respectively. CONCLUSIONS All participants' state-trait anxiety levels improved after surgery compared with their preoperative levels. Preoperative trait anxiety levels can be used as a reference indicator to screen patients who may have high-state anxiety levels after orthognathic surgery. The creation of a screening scale will assist health care professionals to more pertinently help patients with high anxiety.

Abstract
High-risk pregnant women experience stress and anxiety. Anxiety may affect prenatal attachment. This study aimed to examine the effect of anxiety on prenatal attachment in high-risk pregnant women. The study was cross-sectional and conducted on 290 high-risk pregnant women who applied to the perinatology outpatient clinic of a university hospital between February and July 2022. The data were collected with the descriptive information sheet, Prenatal Attachment Inventory (PAI), and Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale (PASS). Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis-H, and Spearman's Correlation tests were used to analyze the data. The mean age of the examined pregnant women was 28.12 ± 5.36, and most of them were multigravida (65.5 percent) and in the third trimester (80.7 percent). The PAI and PASS mean scores were 64.09 ± 11.31 and 27.98 ± 16.52, respectively. There was a weak positive correlation between anxiety and prenatal attachment (r = .227, p < .001). The levels of prenatal attachment were higher in primigravidas and women with no children. Also, the anxiety levels of pregnant women in the third trimester were lower. Health professionals should evaluate the prenatal attachment and anxiety levels of high-risk pregnant women, and consider obstetrical factors that may influence both prenatal attachment and anxiety levels.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Accumulating evidence suggests that pregnancy-related anxiety (PRA) has adverse impacts on maternity health and infant development. A substantial body of literature has documented the important influence of family function, perceived social support and resilience on PRA. However, research identifying the mediating mechanisms underlying this relationship in China are still lacking. Therefore, the current study aimed to investigate the prevalence of PRA under the three-child policy in China, and also explore the interrelationships among perceived social support, family function, resilience, and PRA. METHODS In this cross-sectional study, a convenient sampling method was used to select 579 pregnant women who underwent prenatal examination at the maternity outpatient departments of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University in China from December 2021 to April 2022. Participants were required to complete the following questionnaires: the demographic form, the Chinese Pregnancy-related Anxiety scale, the 10-item Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, the APGAR Family Care Index Scale, and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. Pearson correlation analysis was utilized to examine the rudimentary relationship among the study variables. Bootstrapping analyses in the structural equation modeling were applied to identify the significance of indirect effects. RESULTS There were 41.4% of pregnant Chinese women indicating PRA. Correlational analyses indicated that perceived social support, family function and resilience were negatively associated with PRA (r = - 0.47, P < 0.01; r = - 0.43, P < 0.01; r = - 0.37, P < 0.01, respectively). The results of bootstrapping analyses demonstrated significant indirect effects of perceived social support (β = - 0.098, 95% CI [- 0.184, - 0.021]) and family function (β = - 0.049, 95% CI [- 0.103, - 0.011]) on PRA via resilience. CONCLUSIONS Chinese pregnant women are suffering from high levels of PRA. Better family function and perceived social support might reduce the occurrence of PRA, as well as by the mediating effects of resilience. Healthcare providers must be concerned about PRA and perform corresponding actions to reduce it. By strengthening social support and improving family function, antenatal care providers could effectively reduce or prevent PRA. And more importantly, implementing resilience-promoting measures are also essential to relieve anxiety and support mental health in pregnant women.
