Abstract
Isorhamnetin (ISO) is a phenolic compound belonging to flavonoid family, showcasing important in vitro pharmacological activities such as antitumor, anti-inflammation, and organ protection. ISO is predominantly extracted from Hippophae rhamnoides L. This plant is well-known in China and abroad because of its "medicinal and food homologous" characteristics. As a noteworthy natural drug candidate, ISO has received considerable attention in recent years owing to its low cost, wide availability, high efficacy, low toxicity, and minimal side effects. To comprehensively elucidate the multiple biological functions of ISO, particularly its antitumor activities and other pharmacological potentials, a literature search was conducted using electronic databases including Web of Science, PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus. This review primarily focuses on ISO's ethnopharmacology. By synthesizing the advancements made in existing research, it is found that the general effects of ISO involve a series of in vitro potentials, such as antitumor, protection of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, anti-inflammation, antioxidant, and more. This review illustrates ISO's antitumor and other pharmacological potentials, providing a theoretical basis for further research and new drug development of ISO.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To identify the patients who are most likely to participate in discussions about palliative care (PC) and advance care planning (ACP), and to determine their preferred timing and approach of discussion. METHODS The study included women aged 18-75 years diagnosed with breast cancer. In the quantitative phase, sociodemographic and clinical characteristics, knowledge, decision-making, and stigmas were evaluated. The qualitative phase included questions about patients' understanding, timing, and method of discussing PC and ACP, which were analyzed by Bardin's content analysis. RESULTS In Phase 1, a total of 115 participants were included, with 53.04% completing both phases and 46.96% declining further participation. Those who completed both phases exhibited higher rates of marriage and educational attainment, while those who declined Phase 2 had a higher prevalence of advanced-stage cancer and palliative treatment. Completion of both phases was associated with a greater knowledge of reality and increased awareness of PC and ACP. Furthermore, the qualitative analysis revealed 5 convergent themes: timing, demystification, patient empowerment, misconception elimination, and open communication. These themes informed the development of a conceptual model that provides a framework for discussing PC and ACP with patients at different stages of cancer diagnosis and treatment, highlighting appropriate and inappropriate approaches and timing. SIGNIFICANCE OF RESULTS Early discussion is beneficial, but withholding information or infringing on autonomy should be avoided. The study reveals that married and highly educated individuals tend to be more receptive to these discussions. However, patients with late-stage cancer tend to decline participation. Patients value open communication, demystification of PC, and empowering discussions that eliminate misunderstandings. Efforts should be made to reach patients with limited familiarity, particularly those with late-stage cancer, to increase their receptiveness to enable well-informed decision-making.

Abstract
Little research has been conducted on the experience of pancreatic cancer from a patient's perspective. Several factors suggest that trajectory models of chronic illness or other cancers cannot be applied to pancreatic cancer. Within this grounded theory study, 26 problem-centred interviews were conducted with people with pancreatic cancer from Germany. A cancer-specific trajectory model was developed, depicting both curative and palliative courses. Two successive phases form the core: Immediately after diagnosis, there is an acute phase in which patients focus on mere survival, attempt to overcome the short-term consequences of pancreatic cancer and search for information. This initial phase is followed by a circular phase of living on with pancreatic cancer, characterized by adaptation to the long-term consequences of the disease and a repeated experience of fear of recurrence or progression and threat in the context of follow-up examinations. Understanding disease trajectories from a patient's perspective enables health professionals better to understand patients' needs, concerns, and fears and better support them in coping. Abstract
(1) Background: Patients with pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (PanNENs) often have a long overall survival. We evaluated determinants of quality of life (QoL) after surgery for PanNENs. (2) Methods: Patients operated on for a PanNEN in our center (1990-2021) received three EORTC QoL questionnaires (QLQ-C30, QLQ-GI.NET21, QLQ-PAN26). Six domains were selected as outcome variables (global QoL, physical function -PF, social function -SF, disease-related worries -DRWs, pain, upper-gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms) and evaluated in relation to the clinical variables. Statistical analysis was performed using R software v 4.2.2. (3) Results: One hundred and four patients enrolled showed a good global QoL (median 83.3). Old age was a determinant of worse global QoL (p 0.006) and worse PF (p 0.003). Multiple comorbidities (p 0.002) and old age (p 0.034) were associated with pain, while male gender was related to better PF (p 0.007) and less pain (p 0.012). Patients who had undergone parenchyma-sparing surgery demonstrated better PF (p 0.037), better SF (p 0.012), and less upper-GI symptoms (p 0.047). At multivariable analysis, age (p 0.005) and type of surgery (p 0.028) were confirmed as determinants of global QoL. (4) Conclusions: In patients operated on for a PanNEN, a good HRQoL is generally reported; notably, younger age and parenchyma-sparing surgery seem to positively affect HRQoL.
