Abstract
Oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) is a critical measure for assessing the impact of orthodontic treatments, including aligners. This study aimed to investigate factors associated with OHRQoL among orthodontic aligner wearers. This cross-sectional study included 34 participants. OHRQoL was evaluated using the Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP-14), and malocclusion severity was measure with the Dental Aesthetic Index (DAI). Data on sex, age, family income, and treatment duration were collected. Bivariate analyses were conducted to examine associations between independent variables and OHRQoL. Effect sizes (ES) were calculated to indicate the magnitude of associations, categorized as small, moderate, or large. Poisson regression was performed to identify factors associated with OHRQoL, reporting beta coefficients (Coef.) and standard errors (SE). Statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. The mean age of participants was 33.8 years. In the psychological discomfort subscale, males reported higher scores, with a moderate ES. Family income showed moderate-to-large ES, with individuals from families earning < 5 wages reporting higher scores. Higher DAI scores were significantly associated with poorer OHRQoL across the following subscales: functional limitation (p = 0.002), physical pain (p = 0.001), physical disability (p = 0.005), psychological disability (p = 0.003), social disability (p = 0.001), handicap (p = 0.037), and the total score (p = 0.001). Younger individuals also reported significantly higher scores on the handicap subscale (p = 0.007). Younger individuals and those with more severe malocclusion experienced poorer OHRQoL during treatment with orthodontic aligners. Sex and family income also significantly influenced OHRQoL outcomes.

Abstract
It is well known that multimorbidity negatively impacts health-related quality of life (HRQoL). However, how psychosocial factors moderate this relationship remains unclear. The present study investigated the moderating effects of personality traits on the relationship between multimorbidity and HRQoL. Data were extracted from three waves (i.e., Waves 13, 17, and 21) of the Household, Income, and Labor Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) survey and a representative cohort of the adult (20+ years) population was followed. The outcomes were three dimensions of SF-36: mental health, physical functioning, and general health. The predictor was the degree of multimorbidity, which was measured by counting the number of self-reported health conditions. The moderator was personality traits measured by the Five-Factor Model (extraversion, emotional stability, agreeableness, openness to experience, and conscientiousness). Mixed-effects models were used to explore the relationship between multimorbidity and HRQoL. Overall, the study cohort comprised 13,285 adults in 2013 who were followed up to 2021, for a total of N = 32,950 observations. There were slightly more (53.9%) females, and the mean (SD) age was 50.3 (16.8) years. Personality traits significantly moderated the relationship between multimorbidity and HRQoL. For instance, extraversion and emotional stability significantly moderated the relationship between multimorbidity and mental health. The moderation effect sizes were larger than established minimal clinically important difference (MCID) thresholds. For example, the impact of 3 health conditions on mental health was moderated from 66 (extraversion score of 4) to 77 (extraversion score of 7), a difference of almost twice the MCID threshold of 6 established for mental health. The results showed that personality traits moderated the relationship between multimorbidity and HRQoL to the extent of potentially influencing clinical decisions. Understanding the influences of personality traits on HRQoL in the context of varying degrees of multimorbidity could enhance interventions for improving quality of life.

Abstract
Background: Due to a lack of validated methodologies, this study aimed to evaluate the quality of life (QoL) among individuals affected by lymphedema and to compare them with the general population and common diseases. Patients and methods: Patients were recruited from October 2023 till March 2024. The SF-36 and LYMQOL questionnaires were administered. The Robert Koch Institute provided data from the survey for secondary evaluations of the DEGS1 study. Descriptive analysis of the patient's data was conducted, followed by an analysis of risk factors, a comparison with common diseases and a pairs matched analyses with the general population based on the parameters sex, age and Body Mass Index (BMI). A p-value below 0.05 was considered significant. Results: Among the 273 patients, 18 had primary lymphedema and 255 had secondary lymphedema due to cancer history. Staging revealed 28 patients in stage I, 137 in stage II, and 75 in stage III. The majority of patients (83%) were female and mostly the lower extremity was affected. Age, International Society of Lymphology (ISL)-stage, and BMI were significantly correlated with reduced QoL in seven, six, and eleven out of thirteen subscales of the respective scores. The LYMQOL analysis revealed, that patients with upper limb lymphedema (ULL) demonstrated higher QoL compared to those with lower limb lymphedema (LLL). When compared to the general population, individuals with ULL exhibited reduced QoL in five out of eight SF-36 domains (p<0.05). Conversely, LLL patients showed decreased QoL across all eight SF-36 subscales (p<0.01). In comparison to diseases like myocardial infarction or malignant diseases, patients with lymphedema experience a significant, diminished QoL. Conclusions: By 2024, lymphedema patients continue to experience significantly lower QoL compared to the general population or common diseases in Germany. LLL patients exhibit a reduced QoL compared to individuals with ULL.

Abstract
Recent clinical practice guidelines for diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease (CVD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) emphasise a holistic, person-centred approach to care. However, they do not include recommendations for the assessment of patient-reported outcomes (PROs), which would - dependent on the topic of guideline - be important for improving shared decision-making, patients' concordance with guideline recommendations, clinical outcomes and health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The Taskforce of the Guideline Workshop discussed PROs in diabetes, obesity, CVD and CKD as well as the relevance of their inclusion in clinical practice guidelines for the management of these conditions.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Multimorbidity is a rising public health concern. Indicators that address these complex health conditions are often exclusively devoted to physical diseases. Because of their high disease burden, mental health disorders ought to be considered as well. This paper aims to measure the added value of including a mental health dimension in a population-based multimorbidity indicator and identify which mental health measures are most appropriate. METHODS Secondary analyses were conducted on data from the Belgian Health Interview Survey 2018. We compared the prevalence of different multimorbidity indicators (MIs) in relation to health impact measures, such as quality of life (EQ-5D score) and activity limitation (GALI). The MIs differed as to the health conditions involved: one was based on physical conditions only; the other three included mental health dimensions that were either self-reported or assessed by a scale (GAD-7, PHQ-9, and GHQ-12). We performed linear and logistic regressions to assess the association between the MIs and the health correlates and compared the goodness of fit of the different models. RESULTS MI prevalence was higher when including a mental health dimension assessed with the GHQ-12 (42.0%) and with the GAD-7 or the PHQ-9 (39.4%) as compared to physical conditions only (35.0%). Associations between the MI and health correlates were consistently stronger if the MI included a mental health dimension. The regression models with MI including the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 showed the strongest association between MI and the health correlates and also had the best goodness-of-fit measures. CONCLUSIONS MIs that only take physical conditions into account underestimate their impact on individuals' lives. Including mental ill-health in an MI is key to linking it to health correlates.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Caregiver self-efficacy is crucial in improving patient outcomes and caregiver well-being, but there is a lack of suitable scales to assess this concept within the context of Chinese culture. This study aimed to cross-culturally translate the Caregiver Self-Efficacy in Contributing to Patient Self-Care (CSE-CSC) Scale and evaluate its psychometric properties using classical test theory and item response theory. METHODS The CSE-CSC scale was adapted using Brislin's translation model after obtaining authorization from the original author. A multicenter, cross-sectional study was conducted to assess the psychometric properties of this scale. Classical test theory was used to evaluate reliability (internal consistency, test-retest reliability), validity (content validity, structural validity, convergent validity), and floor and ceiling effects. Item response theory was employed to assess the fit of the rating scale model, reliability, item difficulties, and measurement invariance. RESULTS The translation and cultural adaptation process was completed. Classical test theory demonstrated good internal consistency (Cronbach's α = 0.935) and test-retest reliability (ICC from 0.784 to 0.829, p<0.001). The I-CVI and K* of each item ranged from 0.875 to 1.00 and 0.871 to 1.00. The first-order 2-factor model fit well (χ2/df = 3.71, RMSEA = 0.082, SRMR = 0.032, CFI = 0.973, TLI = 0.60). Convergent validity showed that the CSE-CSC scores had a strong positive correlation with three separate scales of the CC-SC-CII. There was no floor and ceiling effect in this scale. Rasch analysis showed that the CSE-CSC scale demonstrated a good fit to the rating scale model and exhibited excellent reliability (person/item separation index>2, person/item reliability coefficients>0.8). The Wright map showed that item difficulty matched the respondents' measured abilities. The analysis of differential item functioning (DIF) showed that all items were comparable in gender. CONCLUSIONS This study indicated that the CSE-CSC scale had good reliability, validity, difficulty degree, and measurement invariance. The CSE-CSC scale can be used to measure caregiver self-efficacy of Chinese patients with multiple chronic conditions.

Abstract
Skin diseases are prevalent globally and can have detrimental effects on the individual's health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The treatment of dermatological patients typically focuses on clinical signs and symptoms and a subjective view of the impact of the disease on the patient's life. Assessing quality of life can help provide patients with better service, by acknowledging their real needs and interfering with treatment decisions. The aim of the study was therefore to assess quality of life of dermatology outpatients and its associated factors. An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted in the dermatology clinic of Halibet National Referral Hospital in Asmara, Eritrea. HRQoL data were collected between May 6 and August 18, 2022 using a validated standard tool (Skindex-29). Descriptive statistics, logistic regression and paired t-test were employed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (Version-26.0). A total of 375 dermatology clinic out-patients with a median age of 29 (Interquartile range: 25) were included in the study. The most commonly seen skin diseases were eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis and tinea pedis. Emotion, symptom, and functioning domains of HRQoL were severely impaired in 75.7%, 50.4% and 57.6% of all dermatology outpatients, respectively. More than half of the respondents (57.9%) had a severely impaired overall HRQoL. In the overall HRQoL, being a rural resident [Adjusted Odds Ratio (AOR) 1.98, 95% CI 1.18, 3.33] and presence of chronic illness (AOR 2.16, 95% CI 1.22, 3.82) were significantly associated with severely impaired overall quality of life. A significantly higher mean score (p < 0.001) was observed in emotion [Mean (M) = 55.60, Standard Deviation (SD) = 21.0] as compared to functioning (M = 46.89, SD = 21.2). On the other hand, significantly higher mean score (p < 0.001) was observed on symptom (M = 54.08, SD = 20.5) as compared to functioning (M = 46.89, SD = 21.2). Skin diseases severely affected the emotion, functioning, and symptom domains of health-related quality of life. This highlights the importance of providing physical and psychosocial support to patients with dermatologic problems.

Abstract
Background and Aims Multicomponent exercise interventions are recommended for older adults and for those with chronic diseases. While multiple programs have been tested, no one has yet explored how these programs were developed. This review set out to determine what development steps multicomponent exercise intervention studies that include older adults with multimorbidity have taken. Methods Systematic review and narrative synthesis. Results One hundred and thirty-eight studies meeting review criteria (Population: adults ≥60 years with multimorbidity; Intervention: exercise interventions with ≥2 components; Comparator: any considered; Outcome: any considered) were retrieved. Most studies (70%) do not report intervention development actions as suggested by available guidance. Notable deviations from recommendations include limited performance of systematic review of previously published evidence, lack of engagement with theory, and few examples of design then refine. Conclusions Exercise interventions for older adults with multimorbidity do not appear to follow best practice in terms of their developing. Disregard of development recommendations risks contributing to research redundancy and/or avoidable waste, as important steps that make sure the intervention is warranted, suitable for the population in question, and tested using optimal methods and outcome measures are overlooked.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hypertension is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality worldwide. Despite the widespread availability of effective antihypertensives, blood pressure (BP) control rates remain suboptimal, even in high-income countries such as Belgium. In this study, we used a cascade of care approach to identify where most patients are lost along the continuum of hypertension care in Belgium, and to assess the main risk factors for attrition at various stages of hypertension management. METHODS Using cross-sectional data from the 2018 Belgian Health Interview Survey and the Belgian Health Examination Survey, we estimated hypertension prevalence among the Belgian population aged 40-79 years, and the proportion that was (1) screened, (2) diagnosed, (3) linked to care, (4) in treatment, (5) followed up and (6) well-controlled. Cox regression models were estimated to identify individual risk factors for being unlinked to hypertension care, untreated and not followed up appropriately. RESULTS The prevalence of hypertension based on self-reported and measured high BP was 43.3%. While 98% of the hypertensive population had their BP measured in the past 5 years, only 56.7% were diagnosed. Furthermore, 53.4% were linked to care, 49.8% were in treatment and 43.4% received adequate follow-up. Less than a quarter (23.5%) achieved BP control. Among those diagnosed with hypertension, males, those of younger age, without comorbidities, and smokers, were more likely to be unlinked to care. Once in care, younger age, lower BMI, financial hardship, and psychological distress were associated with a higher risk of being untreated. Finally, among those treated for hypertension, females, those of younger age, and without comorbidities were more likely to receive no adequate follow-up. CONCLUSION Our results show that undiagnosed hypertension is the most significant barrier to BP control in Belgium. Health interventions are thus needed to improve the accurate and timely diagnosis of hypertension. Once diagnosed, the Belgian health system retains patients fairly well along the continuum of hypertension care, yet targeted health interventions to improve hypertension management for high-risk groups remain necessary, especially with regard to improving treatment rates.

Abstract
PURPOSE The high prevalence of multimorbidity in aging societies has posed tremendous challenges to the healthcare system. The aim of our study was to comprehensively assess the association of multimorbidity patterns and health-related quality of life (HRQOL) among rural Chinese older adults. METHODS This was a cross-sectional study. Data from 4,579 community-dwelling older adults aged 60 years and above was collected by the clinical examination and questionnaire survey. Information on 10 chronic conditions was collected and the 3-Level EQ-5D (EQ-5D-3L) was adopted to measure the HRQOL of older adults. An exploratory factor analysis was performed to determine multimorbidity patterns. Regression models were fitted to explore the associations of multimorbidity patterns with specific health dimensions and overall HRQOL. RESULTS A total of 2,503 (54.7%) participants suffered from multimorbidity, and they reported lower HRQOL compared to those without multimorbidity. Three kinds of multimorbidity patterns were identified including cardiovascular-metabolic diseases, psycho-cognitive diseases and organic diseases. The associations between psycho-cognitive diseases/organic diseases and overall HRQOL assessed by EQ-5D-3L index score were found to be significant (β = - 0.097, 95% CI - 0.110, - 0.084; β = - 0.030, 95% CI - 0.038, - 0.021, respectively), and psycho-cognitive diseases affected more health dimensions. The impact of cardiovascular-metabolic diseases on HRQOL was largely non-significant. CONCLUSION Multimorbidity was negatively associated with HRQOL among older adults from rural China. The presence of the psycho-cognitive diseases pattern or the organic diseases pattern contributed to worse HRQOL. The remarkable negative impact of psycho-cognitive diseases on HRQOL necessiates more attention and relevant medical assistance to older rural adults.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Improved life expectancy has increased the prevalence of older adults living with multimorbidities, which likely deteriorates their health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Understanding which chronic conditions frequently co-occur can facilitate person-centered care tailored to the needs of individuals with specific multimorbidity profiles. OBJECTIVE The study objectives were to (1) examine the prevalence of multimorbidity among Korean older adults (ie, those aged 65 years and older), (2) investigate chronic disease patterns using latent class analysis, and (3) assess which chronic disease patterns are more strongly associated with HRQoL. METHODS A sample of 1806 individuals aged 65 years and older from the 2021 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey was analyzed. Latent class analysis was conducted to identify the clustering pattern of chronic diseases. HRQoL was assessed by an 8-item health-related quality of life scale (HINT-8). Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the association with the total score of the HINT-8. Logistic regression analysis was performed to evaluate the odds ratio of having problems according to the HINT-8 items. RESULTS The prevalence of multimorbidity in the sample was 54.8%. Three chronic disease patterns were identified: relatively healthy, cardiometabolic condition, arthritis, allergy, or asthma. The total scores of the HINT-8 were the highest in participants characterized as arthritis, allergy, or asthma group, indicating the lowest quality of life. CONCLUSIONS Current health care models are disease-oriented, meaning that the management of chronic conditions applies to a single condition and may not be relevant to those with multimorbidities. Identifying chronic disease patterns and their impact on overall health and well-being is critical for guiding integrated care.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The complex management of health needs in multimorbid patients, alongside limited cost data, presents challenges in developing cost-effective patient-care pathways. We estimated the costs of managing 171 dyads and 969 triads in Belgium, taking into account the influence of morbidity interactions on costs. METHODS We followed a retrospective longitudinal study design, using the linked Belgian Health Interview Survey 2018 and the administrative claim database 2017-2020 hosted by the Intermutualistic Agency. We included people aged 15 and older, who had complete profiles (N = 9753). Applying a system costing perspective, the average annual direct cost per person per dyad/triad was presented in 2022 Euro and comprised mainly direct medical costs. We developed mixed models to analyse the impact of single chronic conditions, dyads and triads on healthcare costs, considering two-/three-way interactions within dyads/triads, key cost determinants and clustering at the household level. RESULTS People with multimorbidity constituted nearly half of the study population and their total healthcare cost constituted around three quarters of the healthcare cost of the study population. The most common dyad, arthropathies + dorsopathies, with a 14% prevalence rate, accounted for 11% of the total national health expenditure. The most frequent triad, arthropathies + dorsopathies + hypertension, with a 5% prevalence rate, contributed 5%. The average annual direct costs per person with dyad and triad were €3515 (95% CI 3093-3937) and €4592 (95% CI 3920-5264), respectively. Dyads and triads associated with cancer, diabetes, chronic fatigue, and genitourinary problems incurred the highest costs. In most cases, the cost associated with multimorbidity was lower or not substantially different from the combined cost of the same conditions observed in separate patients. CONCLUSION Prevalent morbidity combinations, rather than high-cost ones, made a greater contribution to total national health expenditure. Our study contributes to the sparse evidence on this topic globally and in Europe, with the aim of improving cost-effective care for patients with diverse needs.

Abstract
AIM To investigate whether and which diseases co-occur with periodontitis (PD) to assess the prevalence of comorbidities and multimorbidity and to identify patterns and profiles of comorbidity and multimorbidity and the influence of demographic and lifestyle factors to identify distinct groups of multimorbid patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS A database from the Academic Centre of Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA) with 37,801 adult individuals containing information about demographic (age, sex, socio-economic position [SEP]) and lifestyle factors (smoking, alcohol use and addictive substance use) and PD and systemic diseases was constructed. PD assessment was based on clinical information by the use of claim codes and systemic diseases data were derived from self-reported medical history. For analyses, univariable and multivariable (adjusted for age, sex, SEP, smoking, alcohol use and addictive substance use) logistic regression analyses and cluster analysis were used. RESULTS Individuals with PD more often had one or multiple diseases. The adjusted odds ratio (OR) for PD patients having up to four systemic diseases ranged from 1.46 to 1.20. Co-occurrence of PD with several systemic diseases and a higher prevalence of multimorbidity was found (adjusted OR comorbidity = 1.36; 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.30-1.43; multimorbidity = 1.18; 95% CI: 1.11-1.25). Four clusters existed: cluster 1 was defined as a periodontal and systemically healthy group and cluster 4 as burdened with PD but not containing any systemic diseases. Individuals in cluster 1 were of the lowest age (44.9 [SD: 15.5]) and had the lowest prevalence of the lifestyle factors of smoking (13.6%) and alcohol use (3.9%). Clusters 2 and 3 contained both PD and had several systemic diseases but were different from each other. Cluster 2 contained 34.5% of PD individuals and had mainly respiratory tract, immune system and digestive system diseases. Cluster 3 contained 45.9% of PD individuals and had mainly cardiometabolic diseases. Cluster 2 had the highest prevalence of females (63.1%) and the highest prevalence of smokers (23.8%) and addictive substance users (8.9%). Cluster 3 included individuals of the highest age (63.5 [SD: 11.9]), and had highest prevalence of alcohol users (17.7%) and lowest prevalence of addictive substance users (3.8%). CONCLUSIONS This study shows that individuals with PD are more often burdened with comorbidity and multimorbidity. Presence of distinct clusters suggests overlap in pathophysiology between certain types of PD and specific systemic diseases. Therefore, PD can be considered as part of multimorbidity, as one of the systemic diseases co-occurring in certain groups of individuals.

Abstract
Many diseases show patterns of co-occurrence, possibly driven by systemic dysregulation of underlying processes affecting multiple traits. We have developed a method (treeLFA) for identifying such multimorbidities from routine health-care data, which combines topic modeling with an informative prior derived from medical ontology. We apply treeLFA to UK Biobank data and identify a variety of topics representing multimorbidity clusters, including a healthy topic. We find that loci identified using topic weights as traits in a genome-wide association study (GWAS) analysis, which we validated with a range of approaches, only partially overlap with loci from GWASs on constituent single diseases. We also show that treeLFA improves upon existing methods like latent Dirichlet allocation in various ways. Overall, our findings indicate that topic models can characterize multimorbidity patterns and that genetic analysis of these patterns can provide insight into the etiology of complex traits that cannot be determined from the analysis of constituent traits alone.

Abstract
Purpose Fall is a common geriatric syndrome leading to various adverse outcomes in the elderly. Gait and balance disorders and decreased lower extremity muscle function are the major intrinsic risk factors of falls, and studies suggested that they were closely related to the underlying chronic conditions. This study aimed to explore the patterns of multimorbidity and determine the associations of these multimorbidity patterns with gait, balance and lower extremity muscle function. Patients and Methods A cross-sectional survey of 4803 participants aged ≥60 years in Shaanxi Province, China was conducted and the self-reported chronic conditions were investigated. The 6-m walk test, timed-up-and-go test (TUG) and 5-sit-to-stand test (5-STS) were conducted to evaluate gait, balance, and lower extremity muscle function respectively. Latent class analysis was used to explore patterns of multimorbidity, and multivariate regression analysis was used to determine the associations of multimorbidity patterns with gait, balance, and lower extremity muscle function. Results Five multimorbidity patterns were identified: Degenerative Disease Class, Cardio-metabolic Class, Stroke-Respiratory-Depression Class, Gastrointestinal Class, and Very sick Class, and they were differently associated with gait and balance disorders and decreased lower extremity muscle function. In particular, the multimorbidity patterns of Degenerative Disease Class and Stroke-Respiratory-Depression Class were closely associated with all the three risk factors of falls. Conclusion There are significant differences in the impact of different multimorbidity patterns on the major intrinsic risk factors of falls in the elderly population, and appropriate multimorbidity patterns are closely related to the prediction of falls and can help to develop fall prevention strategies in the elderly.

Abstract
Multimorbidity is an emerging priority in healthcare due to associations with the ageing population, frailty, polypharmacy, health and social care demands. It affects 60-70% of adults and 80% of children with epilepsy. Neurodevelopmental conditions are commonly seen in children with epilepsy, while cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative conditions often afflict older people with epilepsy. Mental health problems are common across the lifespan. Genetic, environmental, social and lifestyle factors contribute to multimorbidity and its consequences. Multimorbid people with epilepsy (PWE) are at higher risk of depression and suicide, premature death, suffer lower health-related quality of life, and require more hospital admissions and health care costs. The best management of multimorbid PWE requires a paradigm shift from the traditional single disease-single comorbidity approach and a refocus on a person-centred approach. Improvements in health care must be informed by assessing the burden of multimorbidity associated with epilepsy, delineating disease clusters, and measuring the effects on health outcomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The Belgian Superior Health Council (SHC) preferentially recommended the 20-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV20) for adults aged ≥65 years, immunocompromised patients, and patients aged ≥50 years suffering from conditions that increase their risk for pneumococcal infections. The objective of this paper is to present the cost-utility of PCV20 compared to no vaccination and the alternative sequence of PCV15 followed by the 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPV23) in this population. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS The analysis employed a static Markov model capturing lifetime risk of pneumococcal infections, associated disutility, mortality, and costs from different healthcare payer perspectives. RESULTS Results indicated use of PCV20 among Belgian older and at-risk adults is highly cost-effective compared to no vaccination, with an incremental cost per quality-adjusted life-year (QALY) of €4,164. Compared to the sequential regimen (PCV15+PPV23), PCV20 vaccination is a cost-saving strategy. Subgroup analysis indicated PCV20 vaccination of at-risk adults aged 65-84 years would also be cost-saving from the national healthcare perspective. CONCLUSION Based on current knowledge, this analysis suggests that access to PCV20 should be proposed in all adults recommended for vaccination by the SHC as PCV20 prevents additional hospitalizations and deaths caused by pneumococcal infection at an affordable cost.
