Abstract
IMPORTANCE The persistence of Candida infections is due to its ability to form biofilms that enable it to resist antifungals and host immune systems. Hence, inhibitions of the biofilm formation and virulence characteristics of Candida sp. provide potential means of addressing these infections. Among various chromone derivatives tested, four chromone-3-carbonitriles showed antifungal, antibiofilm, and antivirulence activities against several Candida species. Their mode of action has been partially revealed, and their toxicity is reported here using nematode and plant models.

Abstract
A new series of bis-1,2,3- and 1,2,4-triazoles (10a-m) were designed and efficiently synthesized using methyl salicylate as potential antimicrobial agents. All compounds were characterized by their proton & 13C NMR, IR, Mass spectral data, and elemental analysis. The final compounds 10a-m were in vitro screened for antimicrobial and antifungal activity against gram negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, gram positive Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus strains and Aspergillus niger & Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Majority of the synthesized compounds exhibited potent antimicrobial activity (MIC 3.9 µg/mL) and promising antifungal activity with the zone of inhibition (ZOI) 1.5-8.2 mm. Compounds like 10d and 10f exhibited best antimicrobial activity against S. aureus. The molecular docking analysis revealed that all the synthesized derivatives shown better binding affinities. Among all, compound 10f exhibited best scores. Hence, there was an assumption that introduction of para-chloro and bromo-phenyl aromatic groups on triazole moiety could result excellent antimicrobial activity. This substantial growth inhibitory activity of bis-1,2,3- and 1,2,4-triazole derivatives suggested these compounds could assist a new way in the development of lead molecules against microbial infection and antimicrobial resistance investigations.

Abstract
A library of novel flavonoid derivatives with diverse heterocyclic groups was designed and efficiently synthesized. Structures of the newly synthesized compounds 4a-i and 8a-l have been characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS and elemental analysis. Anticancer activities were evaluated against MCF-7, A549, HepG2 and MCF-10A by MTT based assay. Compared with the positive control Adriamycin, compounds 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d, 8d, 8e and 8j were found to be most active anti-proliferative compounds against human cancer cell line. We found that compounds 4a and 4c exhibited inhibition of enzyme topoisomerase II with IC50 values 10.28 and 12.38 μM, respectively. In silico docking study of synthesized compounds showed that compounds 4a and 4c have good binding affinity toward topoisomerase IIα enzyme and have placed in between DNA base pair at active site of enzyme. In silico ADME prediction results that flavonoid coumarin analogues 4a-i could be exploited as an oral drug candidate.

Abstract
N-Heterocyclic compounds like 1,2,3-triazoles serve as a key scaffolds among organic compounds having diverse applications in the field of drug discovery, bioconjugation, material science, liquid crystals, pharmaceutical chemistry and solid phase organic synthesis. Various drugs containing 1,2,3-triazole ring which are commonly available in market includes Rufinamide, Cefatrizine, Tazobactam etc., Stability to acidic/basic hydrolysis along with significant dipole moment support triazole moiety for appreciable participation in hydrogen bonding and dipole-dipole interactions with biological targets. Huisgen 1,3-dipolar azide-alkyne cycloaddition culminate into a mixture of 1,4 and 1,5- disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles. In 2001, Sharpless and Meldal came across with a copper(I) catalyzed regioselective synthesis of 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles by cycloaddition between azides and terminal alkynes. This azide-alkyne cycloaddition has been labelled as a one of the important key click reaction. Click synthesis describes chemical reactions that are simple to perform, gives high selectivity, wide in scope, fast reaction rate and high yields. Click reactions are not single specific reaction, but serve as a pathway for construction of simple to complex molecules from a variety of starting materials. In the last few decades, 1,2,3-triazoles attracted attention of researchers all over the world because of their broad spectrum of biological activities. Keeping in view the biological importance of 1,2,3-triazole, in this review we focus on the various synthetic routes for the syntheisis of 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles. This review involves various synthetic protocols which involves copper and non-copper catalysts, different solvents as well as substrates. It will boost synthetic chemists to explore new pathway for the development of newer biologically active 1,2,3-triazoles.

Abstract
To explore new scaffolds for the treat of Alzheimer's disease appears to be an inspiring goal. In this context, a series of varyingly substituted flavonols and 4-thioflavonols have been designed and synthesized efficiently. All the newly synthesized compounds were characterized unambiguously by common spectroscopic techniques (IR, 1H-, 13C NMR) and mass spectrometry (EI-MS). All the derivatives (1-24) were evaluated in vitro for their inhibitory potential against cholinesterase enzymes. The results exhibited that these derivatives were potent selective inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase (AChE), except the compound 11 which was selective inhibitor of butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), with varying degree of IC50 values. Remarkably, the compounds 20 and 23 have been found the most potent almost dual inhibitors of AChE and BChE amongst the series with IC50 values even less than the standard drug. The experimental results in silico were further validated by molecular docking studies in order to find their binding modes with the active pockets of AChE and BChE enzymes.

Background:A novel copper-catalyzed synthesis of substituted-1,2,3-triazole derivatives has been developed and performed by Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of azides with alkynes. The reaction is one-pot multicomponent. Objective:We state the advancement and execution of a methodology allowing for the synthesis of some new substituted 1,2,3-triazole analogues with antimicrobial activity. Methods:A series of triazole derivatives was synthesized by Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of azides with alkynes. The structures of the synthesized compounds were elucidated and confirmed by 1H NMR, IR, MS and elemental analysis. All the synthesized compounds were tested for their antimicrobial activity against a series of strains of Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli for antibacterial activity and against the strains of Candida albicans, Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus nigar for antifungal activity, respectively. Results and Conclusion:From the antimicrobial data, it was observed that all the newly synthesized compounds showed good to moderate level of antibacterial and antifungal activity.

Abstract
Abstract
New tetrazole-based pyrazole and pyrimidine derivatives were synthesized by an ultrasound irradiation method. All compounds were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (IR), 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), 13C NMR, mass spectrometry (MS) and elemental analysis and assessed in vitro for their efficacy as antimicrobial agents against four bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and two fungi (Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger). Compounds 8a, 8e, 9a, 9b and 9e show potent activity against the tested strains compared to the reference drugs chloramphenicol and clotrimazole.
