Abstract
There is currently an escalating global demand for the utilization of plant and natural extracts as pesticides due to their minimal health risks. Cyanobacteria are highly valuable organisms with significant potential in agriculture and are of great interest for the development of agrochemical agents as biopesticides. The flexibility and adaptability of Cyanobacteria to various environmental conditions are facilitated by the presence of specialized enzymes involved in the production of biologically active diverse secondary metabolites, including alkaloids, lipopolysaccharides, non-protein amino acids, non-ribosomal peptides, polyketides, terpenoids, and others. This review focuses on the metabolites synthesized from cyanobacteria that have demonstrated effectiveness as antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal agents, insecticides, herbicides, and more. The potential role of cyanobacteria as an alternative to chemical pesticides for environmental conservation is discussed.

Abstract
Canastra's Minas artisanal cheese [QMA (Minas artisanal cheese)] is a protected geographical indication traditional food. The influence of fungi on the cheese ripening process is of great importance. This study aimed to apply culture-dependent and -independent methods to determine the mycobiota of QMA produced in the Canastra region, as well as to determine its physicochemical characteristics. Illumina-based amplicon sequencing and matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry were the culture-independent methods used. The physicochemical analysis results showed that the QMA has a moisture content ranging 18.4-28.2%, fat content ranging 20.5-40%, sodium chloride percentage of approximately 0.9%, and pH ranging 5.2-5.5. The population of fungi ranged between 6.3 and 8 log colony-forming unit/g. Fusarium spp., Geotrichum candidum, Paecilomyces spp., Trichosporon coremiiforme, Candida catenulata, Aspergillus spp., Trichosporon japonicum, Aspergillus oryzae, Kluyveromyces spp., Torulaspora spp., and Debaryomyces spp. were the most prevalent fungi. The methods used to evaluate the mycobiota provide a better understanding of which species are present in the final product and eventually contribute to the characteristics of QMA. Geotrichum candidum and C. catenulata were identified as promising species for future studies on product quality.

Abstract
Mangroves are located at the interface of terrestrial and marine environments, and experience fluctuating conditions, creating a need to better explore the relative role of the bacterial community. Bacillus has been reported to be the dominant group in the mangrove ecosystem and plays a key role in maintaining the biodiversity and function of the mangrove ecosystem. However, studies on bacterial and Bacillus community across four seasons in the mangrove ecosystem are scarce. Here, we employed seasonal large-scale sediment samples collected from the mangrove ecosystem in southeastern China and utilized 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing to reveal bacterial and Bacillus community structure changes across seasons. Compared with the whole bacterial community, we found that Bacillus community was greatly affected by season (temperature) rather than site. The key factors, NO3-N and NH4-N showed opposite interaction with superabundant taxa Bacillus taxa (SAT) and three rare Bacillus taxa including high rare taxa (HRT), moderate rare taxa (MRT) and low rare taxa (LRT). Network analysis suggested the co-occurrence of Bacillus community and Bacillus-bacteria, and revealed SAT had closer relationship compared with rare Bacillus taxa. HRT might act crucial response during the temperature decreasing process across seasons. This study fills a gap in addressing the assembly of Bacillus community and their role in maintaining microbial diversity and function in mangrove ecosystem.

Abstract
Aghien lagoon (Ivory Coast) is a eutrophic freshwater lagoon that harbors high biomasses of phytoplankton. Despite Increasing interest in fish gut microbiomes diversity and functions, little data is currently available regarding wild species from tropical west African lakes. Here, gut-associated bacterial communities are investigated in four fish species that are consumed by locale populations, namely the Cichlidae Hemichromis fasciatus, Tilapia guineensis and Sarotherodon melanotheron, and the Claroteidae Chrysichthys nigrodigitatus. Species-related differences are identified, that can be attributed to host phylogeny and diet. Important variations throughout the year are observed in T. guineensis and C. nigrodigitatus. This result emphasized the importance of time-series sampling and comparison with environmental variables even in tropical regions, that are not often conducted in wild populations. Effects of environmental factors (anthropogenic or not) on the microbiota and potential outcomes for fish health and populations sustainability need to be further explored. Interestingly, fish appear as major reservoirs of bacterial diversity, suggesting that they could contribute to the overall stability and resilience of bacterial communities present in the Aghien lagoon.

The Effect of Algicidal and Denitrifying Bacteria on the Vertical Distribution of Cyanobacteria and Nutrients. WATER 2022. Abstract
Algicidal bacteria combined with the ability of aerobic denitrification is considered to be a promising way to control harmful cyanobacterial bloom and remove nitrogen. However, the effect of these bacteria on the vertical distribution of colonial cyanobacteria and nutrients remained unknown. In this study, two algicidal and denitrifying bacteria were respectively co-cultured with the colonial Microcystis aeruginosa to construct the microcosm systems, and then the cyanobacteria number, the ratio of bacterial to cyanobacterial abundance, the content of dissolved nitrogen, phosphorus and organic carbon in different water layers were investigated. The results showed that the distribution difference of Microcystis among the vertical water layers was further enlarged due to the short-term influence of algicidal bacteria Brevundimonas diminuta and Pseudomonas stutzeri. The number of Microcystis in the lower layer was further reduced by the inhibitory effect of the algicidal bacteria. However, there was a dramatic increase in the number of Microcystis in the upper layer, even when the ratio of algicidal bacteria to cyanobacteria increased significantly. B. diminuta and P. stutzeri both greatly promoted the removal of dissolved total nitrogen in the upper and middle layers of cyanobacteria blooming water, but they also boosted the release of dissolved phosphorus in all layers. These results enable us to better understand the possible limitations of algicidal bacteria in their application to control cyanobacteria blooms.

Abstract
Rhizosphere microbial communities are vital for plant growth and soil sustainability; however, the composition of rhizobacterial communities, especially the assembly process and co-occurrence pattern among microbiota after the inoculation of some beneficial bacteria, remains considerably unclear. In this study, we investigated the structure of rhizomicrobial communities, their assembly process, and interactions contrasting when Bradyrhizobium japonicum 5038 and Bacillus aryabhattai MB35-5 are co-inoculated or Bradyrhizobium japonicum 5038 mono-inoculated in black and cinnamon soils of soybean fields. The obtained results indicated that the Chao and Shannon indices were all higher in cinnamon soil than that in black soil. In black soil, the co-inoculation increased the Shannon indices of bacteria comparing with that of the mono-inoculation. In cinnamon soil, the co-inoculation decreased the Chao indices of fungi comparing with that of mono-inoculation. Compared with the mono-inoculation, the interactions of microorganisms of co-inoculation in the co-occurrence pattern increased in complexity, and the nodes and edges of co-inoculation increased by 10.94, 40.18 and 4.82, 16.91% for bacteria and fungi, respectively. The co-inoculation of Bradyrhizobium japonicum 5038 and Bacillus aryabhattai MB35-5 increased the contribution of stochastic processes comparing with Bradyrhizobium japonicum 5038 inoculation in the assembly process of soil microorganisms, and owing to the limitation of species diffusion might restrict the direction of pathogenic microorganism movement. These findings support the feasibility of rebuilding the rhizosphere microbial system via specific microbial strain inoculation and provide evidence that the co-inoculation of Bradyrhizobium japonicum 5038 and Bacillus aryabhattai MB35-5 can be adopted as an excellent compound rhizobia agent resource for the sustainable development of agriculture.
