Abstract
Leader anger expression affects leadership effectiveness and employees' work status. Based on the theory of emotion as social information, we theorized a serial curvilinear mediated moderation model that links leader anger expression to deviant innovation under weak versus strong supervisor's organizational embodiment. The results of our field of 289 employees showed that the mediated relationship between leader anger expression and deviant innovation was non-linear. Moreover, this non-linear mediated relationship was moderated by supervisor's organizational embodiment such that, under strong supervisor's organizational embodiment, the indirect effect via ability-based Mianzi stress and workplace anxiety was positive at high levels of leader anger expression, while, under conditions of supervisor's organizational embodiment, the indirect effect via ability-based Mianzi stress was insignificant at low levels of leader anger expression, the indirect effect via workplace anxiety was negative as low levels of leader anger expression and positive at intermediate to high levels. We discussed the theoretical and practical implications for current and future leader anger expression research.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Residents inevitably witness or participate in a diverse range of professionalism dilemmas. However, few studies have focused on residents' moral distress from professionalism dilemmas and its relationship with residents' professionalism. This study aimed to understand the moral distress that Chinese residents may face after exposure to professionalism dilemmas and to examine the associations between moral distress and residents' perceived fulfillment of professionalism behaviors. METHODS We conducted a cross-sectional survey of residents from four standardized residency training bases in Liaoning Province, China, using stratified cluster sampling. A checklist of professionalism dilemmas, the Moral Distress Scale, and the Behavior-based Medical Professionalism Inventory were used to assess residents' moral distress from professionalism dilemmas and their perceived fulfillment of professionalism behaviors. Descriptive statistics, non-parametric tests, multiple linear regressions, and binary logistic regressions were used to analyze the data. RESULTS A total of 647 (81.1%) residents effectively completed the survey. The proportion of residents suffering from moral distress ranged from 58.4 to 90.6% for different professionalism dilemmas. As the number of professionalism dilemmas associated with moral distress increased, residents reported lower fulfillment of professionalism behaviors (β < 0, p < 0.05). Compared with residents with no distress, residents suffering from distress reported lower fulfillment of professionalism behaviors (OR < 1, p < 0.05). Among residents suffering from distress, as the distress intensity increased, residents reported higher fulfillment of professionalism behaviors (OR > 1, p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Residents suffered a wide range of moral distress from professionalism dilemmas, and residents with moral distress reported lower fulfillment of professional behaviors. A responsive reporting system for residents and reflection on role modeling may help residents cope with the negative effects of moral distress and professionalism dilemmas.

Abstract
Mental health problems of health workers are attracting increasing concerns in China and the world. A trustful relationship between health workers and patients is the foundation of quality patient care, which is currently under serious threat. This study aimed to determine the associations of social trust on subjective wellbeing and mental health of health workers. Using the survey data of 262 health workers extracted from the 2018 Chinese Family Panel Studies, a structural equation model with partial least square approach was established. The results showed that social trust was linked to both subjective wellbeing (β = 0.251, p < 0.01) and mental health (β = -0.210, p < 0.01). The effect of social trust on mental health was partially mediated by subjective wellbeing (51.87%). The association between social trust and subjective wellbeing was moderated by socioeconomic status: social trust has a stronger effect on subjective wellbeing in those with higher socioeconomic status. Erosion of social trust may present a serious risk to mental health and subjective wellbeing of health workers. High socioeconomic status can amplify the effect of social trust.

Abstract
Residents play a pivotal role in the healthcare system. However, few tools have systematically revealed the dilemmas and challenges faced by residents. This study aimed to develop a checklist for professionalism dilemmas based on a behavior-based professionalism framework and to examine the range and proportion of professionalism dilemmas heard of, witnessed, or experienced by Chinese residents. Mixed methods were used, comprising qualitative (document analysis and focus group interviews) and quantitative (a small-scale questionnaire survey) data. Document analysis summarized professionalism dilemma items from previous publications. For focus group interviews, we used narrative inquiry to explore and make sense of residents' experiences and perceptions of professionalism dilemmas. A small-scale questionnaire survey was conducted during each focus group to investigate the proportion of professionalism dilemma items that residents reported to have heard of, witnessed, or experienced. Through document analysis and focus group interviews, we developed a checklist of professionalism dilemmas based on a behavior-based professionalism framework. The checklist included 58 items over four domains, with 10 sub-domains (compassion, respect, communication, collaboration, integrity, duty, pursuit of excellence, fair stewardship of health care resources, patient confidentiality, and informed consent). We also sought a preliminarily subjective impression by exploring the proportion of residents who have heard of, witnessed, and experienced each of the professionalism dilemma items and residents' perspectives when faced with professionalism dilemmas. Residents inevitably encounter or experience a diverse range of professionalism dilemmas. This checklist of professionalism dilemmas that was developed could prove to be a significant reference for targeted professionalism education, both for the resident as well as for faculty. It can also act as a helpful tool for improving hospital management guidelines and patient education.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Whistleblowing can bring suspected wrongdoing to the attention of someone who is in the position to rectify the problem. Whistleblowing research can help improve effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts in the health sector. OBJECTIVE The objective of this scoping review is to understand the extent and type of evidence on whistleblowing as an anti-corruption strategy in health and pharmaceutical organisations in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). METHODS This scoping review searched the PubMed, Scopus, and EMBASE databases from 2005 to 2020, limited to English language. We also searched websites of multilateral agencies or international non-governmental organisations for policy documents, guidance and reports. Titles and abstracts were screened to remove those where the focus was not on health, pharmaceuticals, whistleblowing, or LMIC context. Articles focused on research misconduct were excluded. Full-text articles were assessed for eligibility on these same criteria. Included sources were analysed thematically, based on five categories including definitions and models; evidence of reporting frequency; factors influencing whistleblowing; cultural context; and outcomes. RESULTS The review found 22 sources including reports, policies, and guidance documents (12, 55%), news articles (4, 18%), policy analyses/reviews (3, 14%), commentaries (2, 9%), and empirical studies (1, 5%). Most sources described whistleblowing policy and system components such as how whistleblowing is defined, who can report, and how confidentiality is assured. Few articles documented types and frequencies of corruption identified through whistleblowing or factors associated with whistleblowing. Several studies mentioned cultural norms as a potential limitation to whistleblowing effectiveness. About one-third of the sources described fear of retaliation and noted the need to strengthen protection for whistleblowers. CONCLUSION Research on whistleblowing is scarce in health and pharmaceutical organisations in LMICs. Documentation of policies, factors associated with whistleblowing, and whistleblowing outcomes is needed and could help countries to mainstream whistleblowing as a sectoral anti-corruption strategy.

Abstract
With rapid economic growth and institutional reform, the pursuit of money and material possessions has become the most prevalent value in contemporary China. This study focuses on the cultural root of money attitudes among the young adults. Specifically, 332 Chinese university students participated in a survey to report on their need for power, need for achievement, belief in guanxi, and love of money. Confirmatory factor analysis and regression analysis were applied to test the proposed hypotheses. The results show positive influences of need for power and need for achievement on individuals' love of money. Moreover, belief in guanxi mediates the relationship between need for power and love of money. The application of indigenous cultural concepts in analyzing social behavior in Eastern cultures is emphasized. Limitations and directions for future research are also discussed.

Abstract
Modern scientific psychology came into being with a pursuit of universalistic knowledge. As an analytic category, culture was a latecomer and it presents a new set of questions for psychological research. This special issue addresses questions surrounding cultural psychology using interdisciplinary insights based in China and the Chinese diaspora. Contributions to this special issue are organized around the central idea that China is a glocal site, namely one that simultaneously displays both global and local characteristics. This is the case in the historical formation of Chinese psychology through its distinction from, as well as interaction with, Western psychology. Colonialism, another source of glocality, has left an enduring impact on China’s nationhood as well as on how Chinese individuals maintain their mental health. Meanwhile, colonialism also gives rise to the question of how scholars should address Chinese psychological phenomena without making orientalist assumptions. Glocal China as a diverse phenomenon could be conceptualized in terms of a spectrum, in which both creative inter-cultural belonging and racist exclusion are to be found. The diversity of glocal China further requires deconstructive reflection on how the unitary concept of China/Chinese might be misleading. To move forward, Chinese cultural psychology could use existing interdisciplinary resources to further explore how culture and power relations intertwine.
