Abstract
Autoimmune diseases (ADs) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) may be associated in approximately 10-20% of cases. Although this association has been well recognized, it is not always easily diagnosed. The exact physiopathological mechanism involved has yet to be determined but seems to be multifactorial. The therapeutic decision is not well codified and often represents a challenge. But overall, glucocorticosteroids have generally proven to be effective at the expense of a high incidence of dependence and relapse. This review aims to summarize and analyze all aspects of this association to provide an overview for practitioners and clinicians. A scientific search in databases (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar) was conducted using a combination of key words such as autoimmune diseases, myelodysplastic syndromes, and association. Articles from 1992 to 2022 were considered and relevant data were collected and summarized to provide a coherent detailed overview of the coexistence of ADs and MDS.

Abstract
We had two cases of trisomy 8-positive myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) with incomplete Behçet's disease (BD) in which the remissions of both diseases were maintained by allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-SCT). Among MDS with BD patients, sometimes it is difficult to control the symptoms of BD with standard therapies, such as corticosteroids and TNF inhibitors. Although there should be careful consideration regarding indications for transplantation, our two cases, in which refractory BD was completely controlled by allo-SCT, suggest that allo-SCT can be one of the treatment options for higher risk MDS with BD patients.

Abstract
A 31-year-old man with Crohn's disease in remission after 6-year treatment with infliximab developed nasopharyngeal diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Infliximab was discontinued, and complete remission was achieved following chemotherapy with rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone. However, the patient subsequently experienced severely symptomatic Crohn's disease relapse. Therapy with adalimumab was initiated, and the patient attained remission. However, after 3 months, he suffered a recurrence of the lymphoma. Adalimumab was discontinued, and the patient received further chemotherapy (with rituximab, etoposide, cisplatin, methylprednisolone, and high-dose cytarabine) treatment and underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Following the procedure, Crohn's disease and lymphoma have remained in complete remission for 5 years. There are limited reports on Crohn's disease remission after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Therefore, we present this case report and a review of the existing literature on allogeneic stem cell transplantation for Crohn's disease.

Abstract
In recent years, cell-based therapies have been explored in various immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Cell therapy is the process of introducing new cells into an organism or tissue in order to treat a disease. The most studied cellular treatment in IBD was "stem cells-based therapy", which was explored according to different protocols in terms of type of donors, stem cells sources, study design and clinical endpoints. More recently, preliminary studies have also described the clinical use of "regulatory cells", which include T-reg and Tr1 cells, and "tolerogenic" dendritic cells. Finally, induced pluripotent stem cells are the subject of an intensive preclinical research program on animal models, including those related to colitis.

Abstract
RATIONALE Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) can be complicated with Crohn disease (CD). Irritable bowel disease (IBD) associated with MDS has already been reported in the past; however, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is rarely performed. Herein, we report a case of CD with MDS for HSCT. PATIENT CONCERNS A 41-year-old man was hospitalized due to abdominal pain and intermittent fever for 40 days. Two years later, he was readmitted due to abdominal pain and diarrhea with fever for 10 days. DIAGNOSIS Symptoms, laboratory examinations, and imaging findings of the patient were indicative of CD complicated with MDS. INTERVENTIONS An allogeneic HSCT was performed. OUTCOMES He died of severe lung infection 125 days post-transplantation. LESSONS The number of cases of CD combined with MDS remains insufficient, and no consensus opinions are available to date. Hence, HSCT is a very potential treatment method. Additional experiences are needed to determine its effectiveness.

Abstract
Autoimmune diseases including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) occur in association with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). MDS-associated IBD frequently demonstrates a complicated course. We herein report the first case with MDS-associated IBD that was successfully treated with ustekinumab (UST), an anti-interleukin (IL) 12/23p40 monoclonal antibody. A 63-year-old man with a 7-year history of MDS was referred for examination of diarrhea, abdominal pain and fever. A blood examination revealed a marked elevation of C-reactive protein. Colonoscopy showed multiple ulcers in the terminal ileum. He was resistant to anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α antibody and azacitidine. Subsequently, UST treatment reduced colonic IL-17 and IL-6 expression and the patient currently maintains a state of remission.
