Abstract
Background: Left ventricular ejection fraction remains the primary focus in cardiac monitoring for oncology patients undergoing potentially cardiotoxic chemotherapy, while right ventricular function is seldom examined. This study evaluates how established risk factors for left ventricular dysfunction affect right ventricular function. Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 1770 patients undergoing cadmium-zinc-telluride equilibrium radionuclide angiocardiography before chemotherapy. Patients were categorized based on risk factors for left ventricular dysfunction-diabetes (DM), atrial fibrillation (AF), coronary heart disease (CHD), and previous oncological therapy-and compared to controls using independent t-tests. Results: Patients with previous oncological therapy exhibited a significantly lower right ventricular end-diastolic volume (RVEDV) (mean difference: -4.4 mL/m2, 95% CI: -6.1 to -2.7, p < 0.001), lower right ventricular end-systolic volume (RVESV) (-2.3 mL/m2, 95% CI: -3.4 to -1.2, p < 0.001), and lower right ventricular stroke volume (RVSV) (-2.1 mL/m2, 95% CI: -3 to -1.2, p < 0.001). In patients with CHD, there was a higher right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF) (3.0 mL/m2, 95% CI: 0.8 to 5.2, p < 0.01), whereas patients with DM had lower RVEDV (-5.1 mL/m2, 95% CI: -9.2 to -1, p < 0.05) and RVESV (-3.0 mL/m2, 95% CI: -5.5 to -0.4, p < 0.05). No ventricular variables differed from the control group among patients with AF. Conclusions: Risk factors known to affect the left ventricle also impacted the right ventricle, with the exception of AF.

Abstract
Electrical and mechanical dyssynchrony (MD) underlies left ventricular (LV) contractile dysfunction in patients with heart failure (HF) and left bundle branch block (LBBB). In some cases, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) almost completely reverses LV contractile dysfunction. The LBBB electrocardiographic Strauss criteria and MD assessment were proposed to improve CRT response. However, using these techniques separately does not improve LV contraction in 20-40% of patients after CRT device implantation. We aimed to evaluate whether the combined use of electrocardiography (ECG), speckle-tracking echocardiography (STE) and cardiac scintigraphy could improve the prognosis of CRT super-response in patients with HF and Strauss LBBB criteria during a 6-month follow-up period. The study prospectively included patients with HF, classified as New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class (FC) II-III in sinus rhythm with Strauss LBBB criteria and reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Before and 6 months after CRT device implantation, ECG, STE and cardiac scintigraphy were performed. The study's primary endpoint was the NYHA class improvement ≥ 1 and left ventricle end systolic volume decrease > 30% or LVEF improvement > 15% after 6 months of CRT. Based on collected data, we developed a prognostic model regarding the CRT super-response. Out of 54 (100.0%) patients, 39 (72.2%) had a CRT super-response. Patients with CRT super-response were likelier to have a greater S wave amplitude in V2 lead (p = 0.004), higher rates of global longitudinal strain (GLS) (p = 0.001) and interventricular delay (IVD) (p = 0.005). Only three indicators (S wave amplitude in V2 lead, GLS and IVD) were independently associated with CRT super-response in univariable and multivariable logistic regression. We created a prognostic model based on the logistic equation and calculated a cut-off value (>0.73). The resulting ROC curve revealed a discriminative ability with an AUC of 0.957 (sensitivity 87.2%; specificity 100.0%). The electrical and mechanical dyssynchrony assessment using ECG, STE and cardiac scintigraphy is useful in the prediction of CRT super-response in patients with HF and Strauss LBBB criteria during a 6-month follow-up period. Our prognostic model can identify patients who are super-responders to CRT.

Abstract
AIMS The objective of this study was to determine the accuracy of right ventricular function (RVF) assessed by Cadmium Zinc Telluride ECG-gated SPECT equilibrium radionuclide angiocardiography (CZT-ERNA). METHODS AND RESULTS Twenty-one consecutive patients with cardiomyopathy (aged 54 ± 19 years; 62% male) were included. RV ejection fraction (EF) and volumes were analyzed by CZT-ERNA and compared with values obtained by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR). Mean values were not different between CZT-ERNA and MRI for RVEF (48.1 ± 10.4% vs 50.8 ± 10.0%; P = .23). Significant correlations (P < .0001) were observed between CZT-ERNA and MRI for RVEF, RV end-diastolic volume, and end-systolic volume (r = 0.81, r = 0.93, and r = 0.96, respectively). Bland-Altman analysis showed a mean difference (bias) between CZT-ERNA and MRI for RVEF of -2.69% (95% CI - 5.35 to - 0.42) with good agreement between the 2 techniques (limits of agreement, -14.3 to 8.99). Intraobserver and interobserver reproducibility of RVF measured by CZT-ERNA was high. CONCLUSION CZT-ERNA provides accurate, reproducible assessment of RVF and appears as a good alternative to cardiac magnetic resonance for the evaluation of the magnitude of RVF in patients with cardiomyopathy.

Abstract
PURPOSE The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the feasibility of gated blood pool single-photon emission computed tomography (GBPS) with low-dose dobutamine (LDD) stress test, performed on a single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) camera equipped with cadmium-zinc-telluride (CZT) solid-state detectors, in assessing of left ventricle (LV) contractile reserve in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM). METHODS A total of 52 patients (age 59 ± 7.2 years, 47 men and 5 women) with ICM and a control group of 10 patients without obstructive coronary artery lesion underwent GBPS and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) at rest and during LDD stress test (5, 10, 15 µg/kg/min). The duration of each GBPS step was 5 min. Stress-induced changes in LV ejection fraction (ΔLVEF), peak ejection rate, LV volumes, and mechanical dyssynchrony (phase histogram standard deviation, phase histogram bandwidth and entropy) obtained with GBPS were estimated. RESULTS All GBPS indices except end-diastolic volume showed significant dynamics during stress test in both groups. The majority of parameters in ICM patients showed significant changes at a dobutamine dose of 10 µg/kg/min as compared to the rest study. Seventeen percent of ICM patients, but none from the control group, showed a decrease in LVEF during stress, accompanied by a significant increase in entropy. The intra- and inter-observer reproducibility was excellent for both rest and stress studies. There was a moderate correlation (r = 0.5, p = 0.01) between GBPS and TTE, with a mean difference value of - 1.7 (95% confidence interval - 9.8; 6.4; p = 0.06) in ΔLVEF. CONCLUSION Low-dose dobutamine stress GBPS performed with high-efficiency CZT-SPECT cameras can be performed for evaluating stress-induced changes in LV contractility and dyssynchrony with lower acquisition time. A dobutamine dose of 10 µg/kg/min can potentially suffice to detect stress-induced changes in patients with ICM during GBPS. Abstract
ABSTRACT Gated tomographic radionuclide angiography can assess and monitor left cardiac function. Dedicated cardiac CZT cameras have enabled dose reduction and quicker acquisitions. New 3D-ring CZT general purpose systems are now available. We report 50 patients who underwent a 7-minute acquisition on a cardiac-dedicated CZT camera and 9 minutes on a new 3D-ring CZT system after mean injection of 321.4 ± 55.9 MBq 99mTc-labelled human serum albumin. There was no significant difference in left ventricular volumes, and left and right ventricular ejection fractions. These preliminary results seem to validate the use of 3D-ring CZT system for LEVF and cardiac function evaluation.

Abstract
The aim of the present study was to test an individualised dose without compromising the ease of analysing data when performing equilibrium radionuclide angiography (ERNA) using cadmium–zinc–telluride (CZT) SPECT. From March 2018 to January 2019, 1650 patients referred for ERNA received either an individualised dose of 99mTc-labeled human serum albumin (HSA) according to their age, sex, height, and weight (n = 1567), or a standard dose of 550 MBq (n = 83). The target count rate (CRT) was reduced every two months from 2.7 to 1.0 kcps. A final test with a CRT of 1.7 kcps was run for three months to test whether an agreement within 2% points for the determination of LVEF, on the basis of only two analyses, was obtainable in at least 95% of acquisitions. All the included ERNAs were performed on a dedicated cardiac CZT SPECT camera. When using the algorithm for an individualised dose, we found that agreement between the measured and predicted count rate was 80%. With a CRT of 1.7 kcps, the need for more than two analyses to obtain sufficient agreement for LVEF was 4.9%. Furthermore, this resulted in a mean dose reduction from 550 to 258 MBq. Patients’ weight, height, sex, and age can, therefore, be used for individualising a tracer dose while reducing the mean dose.

Abstract
PURPOSE To determine whether the left ventricular ejection fractions (EFs), measured on a high-sensitivity CZT single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)-camera with a 70% reduction in recording times and a prevention of EF overestimation through an additional count-calibration, are concordant with reference EF from planar radionuclide angiography (2D-RNA). METHODS An additional 10-minute CZT-SPECT recording was performed in patients referred to 2D-RNA for cardiomyopathy (n = 23) or chemotherapy monitoring (n = 50) with an in vivo red blood cell labeling with 850 MBq [Formula: see text]. The EF, obtained from CZT-SPECT with 100% (SPECT100) or 30% (SPECT30) projection times and with a SPECT-count calibration on the 2D-RNA counts of corresponding cavity volumes, were compared to EF from 2D-RNA. RESULTS Strong and equivalent relationships were documented between the EF from 2D-RNA and the calibrated EF from SPECT100 (y = 0.89x + 6.62; R2 = 0.87) and SPECT30 (y = 0.87x + 8.40; R2 = 0.85), and the mean EF from SPECT100 (54% ± 15%) and SPECT30 (53% ± 16%) were close to that from 2D-RNA (55% ± 15%). However, upward shifts in these mean values were documented in the absence of count calibration for both SPECT100 (60% ± 18%) and SPECT30 (60% ± 18%). CONCLUSION Left ventricular EF may be determined on a high-sensitivity CZT-camera, a 70% reduction in injected activities, and an additional count-calibration for further enhancing the concordance with 2D-RNA values.

Abstract
Tomographic radionuclide angiography (TRNA) can monitor cardiac function in patients receiving cardiotoxic chemotherapy. Gamma cameras using CZT detectors enable dose reduction and quicker acquisitions. We report 80 patients who underwent a 7-minute TRNA acquisition after injection of 550-MBq Tc-labeled human serum albumin. Data were analyzed full and half. Image quality was not visually decreased. There was no significant difference in left ventricular systolic and diastolic volumes and in left and right ventricular ejection fractions between full and half data acquisitions (P < 0.0001). When injecting half activity, effective dose could be reduced to 1.92 mSv.
