Abstract
INTRODUCTION Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-derived conditioned media is emerging as a promising alternative to stem cell therapy, owing to its abundant content of growth factors and cytokines. OBJECTIVE This review evaluates the clinical applications of MSC-conditioned media in improving scars, promoting wound healing, stimulating hair growth, and rejuvenating the skin. MATERIALS AND METHODS A thorough search of relevant databases was performed to identify studies meeting the inclusion criteria. From an initial pool of 75 articles, 16 studies published up to 2024 were selected based on their relevance, focus, and alignment with the research objectives. RESULTS Among the 17 selected studies, 5 examined the role of conditioned media in skin rejuvenation, 3 investigated its effects on hair growth, 5 assessed its efficacy in scar treatment, 2 assessed its efficacy in Inflammatory Dermatologic Disease and 2 explored its role in wound healing. All studies reported favorable outcomes, demonstrating significant improvements in scars, hair regrowth, and skin rejuvenation with the application of conditioned media. CONCLUSION This review underscores the potential of MSC-derived conditioned media in dermatology. Several studies also highlighted its enhanced therapeutic effects when combined with adjunctive treatments, such as laser therapy and microneedling, showcasing improved outcomes in dermatological care.

Abstract
Scar management, particularly for early proliferative burn scars, remains a clinical challenge. This study assesses the efficacy of ultra-pulse carbon dioxide (CO2) laser therapy in comparison to sequential laser therapy and pharmacological interventions for scar reduction. A retrospective evaluation was conducted from January 2016 to March 2019 involving 200 patients with early proliferative burn scars treated at the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department of our institution. Participants were assigned to 4 groups: Group A received ultra-pulse CO2 laser therapy, Group B underwent sequential pulsed dye laser therapy, Group C received sequential laser therapy combined with pharmacological treatment, and a control group received no intervention. Clinical outcomes were assessed using the Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS) and the Numeric Pain Rating Scale. Efficacy was evaluated based on scar characteristics and pain scores. Demographic characteristics across all groups were comparable, with no significant differences noted (P > .05). The clinical efficacy assessment revealed that the overall effective rates for Group A, Group B, and Group C were 80.00%, 96.00%, and 98.00%, respectively. Groups B and C not only exhibited significantly higher effective rates but also demonstrated marked improvements in scar characteristics as measured by the VSS, including reduced erythema and thickness. Additionally, pain scores during treatment were lowest in Group C, indicating better tolerability compared to the other modalities (P < .05). Sequential laser therapy improves the clinical efficacy for early proliferative burn scars, enhancing scar characteristics overall. When combined with pretreatment pharmacotherapy, this approach also reduces patient pain during treatment. These results highlight the benefits of integrating sequential laser and drug therapies in scar management.

Abstract
The primary objective of this study is to examine the efficiency of various regenerative medicine approaches, such as platelet-rich plasma, cell therapy, stromal vascular fraction, exosomes and stem cell-conditioned medium, in the process of healing hypertrophic and keloid scars. Major databases including PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science were systematically searched, and based on the content of the articles and the inclusion and exclusion criteria, eight articles were selected. Out of these eight articles, there were two non-randomized clinical trial studies (25%), one randomized, single-blinded comparative study (12.5%), one retrospective clinical observational study (12.5%) and four randomized clinical trial studies (50%). We employed EndNote X8 and Google Sheets to conduct article reviews and extract relevant data. Following the review phase, the studies underwent analysis and categorization. In all eight reviewed studies, the effectiveness of regenerative medicine in treating hypertrophic scars and keloids has been proven. Out of these studies, five (62.5%) focused on the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma, two study (25%) examined the effectiveness of stromal vascular fraction and one study (12.5%) explored the efficacy of stem cell-conditioned medium. In two studies (25%), the treatment methods were added to standard treatment, while in six studies (75%), regenerative medicine was used as the sole treatment method and compared with standard treatment. The use of these treatment methods did not result in any serious side effects for the patients. Regenerative medicine is an effective method with minimal side effects for the treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloids. It can be used as a monotherapy or in combination with other treatment methods. However, further studies are needed to thoroughly evaluate the effectiveness of all sub-branches of this method.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Striae distensae is a disfiguring atrophic skin condition that impairs the body's aesthetic image. Despite the variety of conducted studies, there is controversy regarding the best modalities. Human mesenchymal stem cells are considered a rich source for scar treatment. Skin needling is among the most efficient and safe aesthetic and therapeutic devices. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the combination of needling and intradermal injection of mesenchymal stem cells compared to skin needling alone for treating striae distensae. METHOD This study was a randomized, double-blind clinical trial involving 10 women aged 18-60. Each striae lesion was divided into two parts, with one side receiving needling and intradermal injection of conditioned medium, while the other side received needling and intradermal injection of normal saline. This treatment was administered in three sessions with three-week intervals. Patients were evaluated before the first intervention and three months after the final session. Three months after the completion of the intervention, patients' lesions were evaluated using biometric criteria, physician evaluation, and patient self-assessment. RESULTS The results demonstrated a significant improvement in dermal and complete thickness and skin density in patients treated with microneedling. All skin ultrasound parameters improved significantly in patients receiving the combination of needling and conditioned medium. When comparing the two groups, significantly higher physician and patient satisfaction was observed in the combination group. However, the comparison of biometric indices improvement wasn't significant between these groups. CONCLUSION The combination of human mesenchymal stem cells with microneedling could be considered a novel effective option for stretch marks.

Abstract
Burns and scarring are considered some of the greatest problems in public health because of their frequent occurrence. Today, photo-electric technology shows promising results in the treatment of burn scars. Over the years, more clinical trials and more technologies for scarring have emerged. The aim of this study was to determine better timing and methods of photo-electric therapy for burn scars. This study was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42023397244), following the PRISMA statement, and was carried out in concordance with the PRISMA checklist. In October 2022, we searched PubMed.gov, Embase, and the Cochrane library (1980-present) for published studies related to the photo-electric treatment of burn scars. Two review authors independently selected the studies, extracted the data, assessed the risk of bias among the studies included, and carried out NIH assessments to assess the certainty of the evidence. A third review author arbitrated any disagreements. Our research included 39 studies. We found evidence suggesting that photo-electric therapy between six months and one year offers significantly better outcomes than treatment of scarring after one year. The evidence also suggests the use of IPL for the treatment of early burn scarring. However, it is important to emphasize that the scientific evidence remains insufficient. We need more clinical trials of higher quality and with less heterogeneity to confirm our results.

Abstract
Hypertrophic scarring (HTS) is an aberrant form of wound healing that is associated with excessive deposition of extracellular matrix and connective tissue at the site of injury. In this review article, we provide an overview of normal (acute) wound healing phases (hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling). We next discuss the dysregulated and/or impaired mechanisms in wound healing phases that are associated with HTS development. We next discuss the animal models of HTS and their limitations, and review the current and emerging treatments of HTS.
