Abstract
Pickering emulsions stabilized by functionalized natural macromolecules have emerged with promising responsiveness for pesticide encapsulation and release. This study developed Pickering emulsions using amine-modified cellulose nanocrystals (ACNCs) as stabilizers. The resultant O/W ACNCs-Pickering emulsions (ACNCs-Pickering) exhibited long-term storage stability and showed increasing emulsion stability depending on the concentration of ACNCs. Imidacloprid (IMI) was subsequently loaded onto the ACNCs-Pickering to form the IMI@ACNCs-Pickering via the in-situ loading route. The release rate of IMI demonstrated a notable pH responsiveness. Moreover, the IMI@ACNCs-Pickering prepared with an ACNCs concentration of 3 wt% showed optimal performances. Its foliar adhesion on Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa L.ssp.pekinensis) was significantly higher than that of the commercial IMI formulation (70 WS, Bayer®, LS200032) (DG). In detail, the pesticide residue for the IMI@ACNCs-Pickering was 3.8 folds to that for DG after spraying and washing for 10 min. Also, the green peach aphid mortality rate was 98.33 %, which was 1.1 folds higher than that of the DG group. The present work developed a Pickering emulsion-based fat-soluble pesticide formulation with excellent foliar adhesion, resistance to rainfall washout, and insecticidal effect. It provided a new option to ensure the sustainable development of green agriculture.

Abstract
Glyphosate (Glp) was encapsulated onto the dopamine-modified attapulgite to develop an attapulgite-based nano-enabled Glp (DGlp) in this study with comparable weed control effects to pure Glp and commercial Glp solutions. Within 24 hours, the active Glp molecule was slowly released from DGlp at a maximum remaining rate of over 90%, and then degraded similarly to Glp solution in soil. The addition of DGlp improved soil available phosphorus (P) contents, phosphatase activity, and enzyme extractable P fraction. However, compared to Glp solution, DGlp addition had no effect on the transformation of soil inorganic P fractions. The 16S rRNA sequencing and co-occurrence network results revealed that DGlp had no significant effect on the soil bacterial diversity but diminished the complexity of soil bacterial network. According to the Mantel test, DGlp addition stimulated soil phosphatase activity and proliferation of dominant bacterial taxa (Proteobacteria and Firmicutes) capable of degrading Glp. Proteobacteria and Firmicutes that had been extensively recruited and enriched for their phosphatase activities may have mobilized reactive enzyme-P, significantly enhancing the transformation of reactive organic P and P-pool in soil. These results contributed to our understanding of the ecotoxicity and environmental impacts of nano-enabled Glp prior to its successful and sustainable application in agriculture.

Abstract
Effective pest management for enhanced crop output is one of the primary goals of establishing sustainable agricultural practices in the world. Pesticides are critical in preventing biological disasters, ensuring crop productivity, and fostering sustainable agricultural production growth. Studies showed that crops are unable to properly utilize pesticides because of several limiting factors, such as leaching and bioconversion, thereby damaging ecosystems and human health. In recent years, stimuli-responsive systems for pesticides delivery (SRSP) by nanotechnology demonstrated excellent promise in enhancing the effectiveness and safety of pesticides. SRSP are being developed with the goal of delivering precise amounts of active substances in response to biological needs and environmental factors. An in-depth analysis of carrier materials, design fundamentals, and classification of SRSP were provided. The adhesion of SRSP to crop tissue, absorption, translocation in and within plants, mobility in the soil, and toxicity were also discussed. The problems and shortcomings that need be resolved to accelerate the actual deployment of SRSP were highlighted in this review.

Abstract
Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have attracted tremendous attention due to their superparamagnetic properties, large specific surface area, high biocompatibility, non-toxicity, large-scale production, and recyclability. More importantly, numerous hydroxyl groups (-OH) on the surface of Fe3O4 MNPs can provide coupling sites for various modifiers, forming versatile nanocomposites for applications in the energy, biomedicine, and environmental fields. With the development of science and technology, the potential of nanotechnology in the food industry has also gradually become prominent. However, the application of composite Fe3O4 MNPs in the food industry has not been systematically summarized. Herein, this article reviews composite Fe3O4 MNPs, including their properties, modifications, and physical functions, as well as their applications in the entire food industry from production to processing, storage, and detection. This review lays a solid foundation for promoting food innovation and improving food quality and safety.

Abstract
Nanomaterials (NMs) have received considerable attention in the field of agrochemicals due to their special properties, such as small particle size, surface structure, solubility and chemical composition. The application of NMs and nanotechnology in agrochemicals dramatically overcomes the defects of conventional agrochemicals, including low bioavailability, easy photolysis, and organic solvent pollution, etc. In this review, we describe advances in the application of NMs in chemical pesticides and fertilizers, which are the two earliest and most researched areas of NMs in agrochemicals. Besides, this article concerns with the new applications of NMs in other agrochemicals, such as bio-pesticides, nucleic acid pesticides, plant growth regulators (PGRs), and pheromone. We also discuss challenges and the industrialization trend of NMs in the field of agrochemicals. Constructing nano-agrochemical delivery system via NMs and nanotechnology facilitates the improvement of the stability and dispersion of active ingredients, promotes the precise delivery of agrochemicals, reduces residual pollution and decreases labor cost in different application scenarios, which is potential to maintain the sustainability of agricultural systems and improve food security by increasing the efficacy of agricultural inputs. ![]()
