Abstract
BACKGROUND To address needs for emotional well-being resources for Californians during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Together for Wellness/Juntos por Nuestro Bienestar (T4W/Juntos) website was developed in collaboration with multiple community partners across California, funded by the California Department of Health Care Services Behavioral Health Division federal emergency response. OBJECTIVE This qualitative study was designed to explore and describe the perspectives of participants affiliated with California organizations on the T4W/Juntos website, understand their needs for web-based emotional health resources, and inform iterative website development. METHODS After providing informed consent and reviewing the website, telephone interviews were conducted with 29 participants (n=21, 72% in English and n=8, 28% in Spanish) recruited by partnering community agencies (October 2021-February 2022). A 6-phase thematic analysis was conducted, enhanced using grounded theory techniques. The investigators wrote reflexive memos and performed line-by-line coding of 12 transcripts. Comparative analyses led to the identification of 15 overarching codes. The ATLAS.ti Web software (ATLAS.ti Scientific Software Development GmbH) was used to mark all 29 transcripts using these codes. After examining the data grouped by codes, comparative analyses led to the identification of main themes, each with a central organizing concept. RESULTS Four main themes were identified: (1) having to change my coping due to the pandemic, (2) confronting a context of shifting perceptions of mental health stigma among diverse groups, (3) "Feels like home"-experiencing a sense of inclusivity and belonging in T4W/Juntos, and (4) "It's a one-stop-shop"-judging T4W/Juntos to be a desirable and useful website. Overall, the T4W/Juntos website communicated support and community to this sample during the pandemic. Participants shared suggestions for website improvement, including adding a back button and a drop-down menu to improve functionality as well as resources tailored to the needs of groups such as older adults; adolescents; the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community; police officers; and veterans. CONCLUSIONS The qualitative findings from telephone interviews with this sample of community members and service providers in California suggest that, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the T4W/Juntos website was well received as a useful, accessible tool, with some concerns noted such as language sometimes being too "professional" or "clinical." The look, feel, and content of the website were described as welcoming due to pictures, animations, and videos that showcased resources in a personal, colorful, and inviting way. Furthermore, the content was perceived as lacking the stigma typically attached to mental health, reflecting the commitment of the T4W/Juntos team. Unique features and diverse resources, including multiple languages, made the T4W/Juntos website a valuable resource, potentially informing dissemination. Future efforts to develop mental health websites should consider engaging a diverse sample of potential users to understand how to tailor messages to specific communities and help reduce stigma.

Abstract
AIMS To examine the level of resilience and burnout among British nurses during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and the influence of personal, social and organisational factors on nurses' resilience and burnout. BACKGROUND Nurses experienced excessive workload and emotional demands over a prolonged period during the COVID-19 pandemic which may have led to exhaustion. Little research has examined the correlation between the pandemic variables, nurses' resilience and burnout during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. DESIGN This study utilised a descriptive, cross-sectional research design. METHODS A cross-sectional and self-report survey involved 111 staff nurses, who completed a self-administrated questionnaire between January and April 2021. A STORBE checklist was used to report the study results. FINDINGS The study found that nurses experienced a high level of burnout and low to moderate levels of resilience. The study revealed significant negative relationships between the level of burnout and perceived organisational support and nurses' resilience. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on nurses' social roles and their worries about patient safety were positively correlated with burnout. The perceived organisational support, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on nurses' social roles and the level of resilience were significant factors for burnout. CONCLUSIONS Nurses experienced a high level of burnout during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, which may be influenced by how they felt their organisations supported them. Nurses' feelings that the pandemic affected their social roles were associated with increasing their burnout. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE Strategies should be developed to address staff burnout and resilience. Nurse managers and educators should play leadership roles in creating professional training to include competencies and psychological preparedness for disasters and to implement strategies to increase the organisational commitments to staff safety and well-being.

Abstract
Stamford Hospital (SH) is a 305 bed Level II Trauma center located in Fairfield County, the epicenter of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in Connecticut. The COVID-19 pandemic was a fast paced, rapidly evolving crisis, presenting our leadership team with unique challenges related to resource availability, patient care, and staff safety. The existing Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) was activated in March 2020 to coordinate our operational emergency management planning, response, and recovery capability for this unplanned event. Although HICS lays the groundwork for hospital preparations and protocol implementation, it is not designed to withstand prolonged crisis circumstances. Given the conditions that the COVID-19 pandemic presented, the possibility for future waves became an impending reality, prompting the need for a long-term solution. To establish guidelines that promoted balance between necessary preparations in the case of additional surges of the pandemic and concurrent resumption then maintenance of routine hospital operations, the SH COVID-19 Playbook was created. The Playbook, presented here, is arranged in accordance with the evidence-based 4 S’s (Space, Staff, Systems, and Stuff) strategic critical care planning framework, to address surge capacity management within our hospital’s four main patient care areas and additional supportive services. Through feedback from frontline caregivers and leaders within SH, the Playbook captures our experience, best practices, and insight acquired during the first wave of the pandemic. Established with the intentions of equipping leadership and staff globally, guidelines are presented to aid in the navigation of future pandemic surges and successfully care for COVID-19 patients, ensure staff safety, allow for normal services to operate, and provide optimal communication and support for the community, patients, and staff.

Abstract
Burnout, depression, and anxiety are prevalent among healthcare workers (HCWs) during the COVID-19 pandemic and have been previously shown to contribute to poor health outcomes and reduced quality of care. Positive psychological constructs such as positive affect and meaning and purpose are related to resilience in the face of significant stress. No studies have examined these associations among a cohort of HCWs during this pandemic. The purpose of this study was to examine the association of depression, anxiety, positive affect, and meaning and purpose with burnout among HCWs during the COVID-19 pandemic. We utilized data from a cross-sectional survey conducted between September 29-December 8, 2021, among a cohort of 2,411 HCWs from a large, tertiary academic health care system in the Chicago area. We employed the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) measures for depression, anxiety, positive affect, and meaning and purpose and burnout was measured by the Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI). The majority (80.88%) of HCWs in this study identified as White, Non-Hispanic race/ethnicity, female sex (82.37%), and roughly one third were between ages 30-39 years old (30.98%). Registered nurses (26.96%) accounted for the largest single occupation group. The mean burnout score was 36.87 (SD = 7.65), with 53.38% of participants classified as having burnout, and registered nurses demonstrating the highest proportions of burnout (63.54%). Higher depression (coef = 0.15, SE = 0.03, p < 0.001) and anxiety (coef = 0.25, SE = 0.02, p < 0.001) scores were associated with higher burnout in multivariable linear regression models. Increased positive affect (coef= -0.19, SE= 0.02, p < 0.001) and meaning and purpose (coef= -0.12, SE= 0.01, p < 0.001) scores were significantly associated with reduced burnout. Positive affect and meaning and purpose were inversely associated with burnout among a cohort of HCWs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previous studies of positive affect and meaning and purpose suggest the potential buffering effect that these indices may have on burnout. Future research is needed to examine the effect of positive affect and meaning and purpose on mitigating the negative impacts of burnout, depression, and anxiety among HCWs as they cope with the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
