Abstract
Bisphenol A (BPA) exposure primarily occurs through dietary intake. This study aimed to estimate the extent of dietary BPA exposure among Koreans. A thorough literature search was conducted to establish a BPA content database encompassing common foods consumed in Korea, including various food raw materials and processed food products. Dietary exposure levels were estimated by integrating the constructed BPA database with comprehensive nationwide 24 h-dietary recall datasets. The finding revealed that dietary BPA exposure was low for most Koreans, with a mean of 14.5 ng/kg bw/day, but was higher for preschool-age children (over 23 ng). Canned foods accounted for 9-36% of the total dietary exposure of the highest dietary exposure groups; while across all age groups, a considerable amount was derived from canned tuna, contribution of canned fruits and canned coffee (milk-containing) was high for preschool-age children and adults, respectively. Notably, for adults, a substantial proportion also stemmed from beer packaged in cans. While diet contributed over 80% of aggregate exposure for most age groups, preschool-age children experienced 60% exposure through diet due to additional exposure from indoor dust. Even at the high exposure scenario, aggregate BPA exposure levels remained lower than the current tolerable daily intake (TDI) set by the Korean agency (20 μg/kg bw/day). Nevertheless, most Koreans were exposed to BPA levels surpassing the strictest TDI (0.2 ng/kg bw/day) set by the European Food Safety Authority.

Abstract
A novel core-shell composite of PCN-222 and molecularly imprinted poly (ionic liquid) (PCN-222@MIPIL) with high conductivity and selectivity was prepared for electrochemical sensing 4-nonylphenol (4-NP). The electrical conductivities of some MOFs including PCN-222, ZIF-8, NH2-UIO-66, ZIF-67, and HKUST-1 were explored. The results indicated that PCN-222 had the highest conductivity and was then used as a novel imprinted support. PCN-222@MIPIL with core-shell and porous structure was synthesized using PCN-222 as support and 4-NP as template. The average pore volume of PCN-222@MIPIL was 0.085 m3 g-1. In addition, the average pore width of PCN-222@MIPIL was from 1.1 to 2.7 nm. The electrochemical response for PCN-222@MIPIL sensor for 4-NP was 2.54, 2.14, and 4.24 times that of non-molecularly imprinted poly (ionic liquid) (PCN-222@NIPIL), PCN-222, and MIPIL sensors, respectively, which result from superior conductivity and imprinted recognition sites of PCN-222@MIPIL. The current response of PCN-222@MIPIL sensor to 4-NP concentration from 1 × 10-4 to 10 μM presented an excellent linear relationship. The detection limit of 4-NP was 0.03 nM. The synergistic effect between the PCN-222 supporter with high conductivity, specific surface area and shell layer of surface MIPIL results in the outstanding performance of PCN-222@MIPIL. PCN-222@MIPIL sensor was adopted for detecting 4-NP in real samples and presented to be a reliable approach for determining 4-NP.

Abstract
In recent years emerging contaminants (ECs) have received significant attention due to their widespread detection in surface waters and concerns that these compounds can cause adverse ecological and/or human health effects. Therefore, accurate methods for determining and quantifying ECs in surface water are essential for estimating their environmental impact. This work describes the development, validation and application of a sensitive multiclass method for simultaneous determination of 22 per and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFASs), 3 pharmaceuticals, 15 pesticides, and 2 bisphenols in surface water using on-line solid phase extraction (SPE) coupled with ultra-performance liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry (UPLC-HRMS). The method allows simultaneous sample clean-up from interfering matrices and lower limits of detection (LODs) by injecting a large sample volume into the LC system without compromising chromatographic efficiency and resolution. Linearity of response over several orders of magnitude was demonstrated for all tested compounds (R2 > 0.99), with the LODs ranging from 0.8 and 33.7 pg mL-1, allowing detection of ECs at trace levels in surface water. The method showed acceptable accuracy and precision (CV, % and RE below 20%) for all tested ECs. It also provided recoveries between 60% and 130% for all tested ECs. The validated method was successfully applied for analysis of surface water samples from three rivers (Cam, Ouse and Thames) in England. Several ECs, including perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), perfluorobutanesulfonic acid (PFBS), perfluorohexanoic acid (PFHxA), perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), dimethyl-metatoluamide (DEET) and ibuprofen were observed in analysed surface water above the method's limit of quantitation (LOQ), with concentrations ranging between 3.5 and 460 pg mL-1.

[Adsorption characteristics of six bisphenol compounds on magnetic three-dimensional nitrogen-doped carbon nanomaterials and their use in effervescent reaction-assisted dispersive microextraction]. Abstract
Herein, we successfully prepared magnetic Co/Ni-based N-doped 3D carbon nanotubes and graphene nanocomposites (CoNi@NGC) using a simple high-temperature calcination method. The CoNi@NGC nanocomposites were used as adsorbents to study their adsorption performances and underlying kinetic mechanisms for six types of bisphenol compounds (BPs) in water. They were also used as extractants, and acid-base effervescent tablets were used to enhance extractant dispersion with the aid of vigorous CO2 bubbling. Thus, a novel pretreatment method was developed, denoted effervescent reaction-assisted dispersive solid-phase microextraction (ER-DSM), which was combined with high performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD) to rapidly quantify trace-level BPs in several drinks. The morphology and structure of the CoNi@NGC adsorbent were characterized in detail using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), N2 adsorption and desorption (BET-BJH), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). The CoNi@NGC nanocomposites were successfully doped with N and exhibited large specific surface areas (109.42 m2/g), abundant pores, and strong magnetic properties (17.98 emu/g).Key parameters were rigorously optimized to maximize the adsorption performance of CoNi@NGC, including adsorbent dosage, solution pH, temperature, and time. Under the constant conditions of pH=7, 5 mg of CoNi@NGC, initial BP concentrations of 5 mg/L, and 5 min of shaking at 298 K, the adsorption percentages of bisphenol M (BPM) and bisphenol A (BPA) reached respective maxima of 99.01% and 98.21%. Remarkably, those of bisphenol Z (BPZ), BPA, and BPM reached almost 100% after 90 min. The adsorption between the BPs and CoNi@NGC was mainly governed by hydrogen bonds, electrostatic interactions, and π-π conjugation. The entire adsorption process was consistent with Freundlich adsorption and a quasi-second-order kinetic equation, representing spontaneous adsorption. Via integration with HPLC-FLD, ER-DSM was used to rapidly extract and analyze trace-level BPs in six types of boxed drinks. Critical factors were optimized individually, including the type of eluent and elution time and volume, which influenced the enrichment effect. Under the optimized extraction conditions (pH=7, 5 mg CoNi@NGC, elution with 2 mL acetone for 6 min), the limits of detection and quantification of the novel extraction method were 0.06-0.20 and 0.20-0.66 μg/L, respectively. The intra- and inter-day precisions spanned the ranges 1.44%-4.76% and 1.69%-5.36%, respectively, and the recoveries in the actual samples were in the range 82.4%-103.7%. Moreover, the respective residual levels of BPA and BPB in peach juice samples were 2.09 and 1.37 μg/L. Regeneration studies revealed that the CoNi@NGC adsorbent could be reused at least five times, which significantly reduced the cost of evaluation. In summary, compared to other methods, this method displays the advantages of a high sensitivity, rapid extraction, and environmental friendliness, thereby exhibiting considerable potential for use in conventional monitoring of trace-level BPs in food matrices.

Abstract
A solid phase extraction-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem Orbitrap high resolution mass spectrometry (HPLC-Orbitrap HRMS) method was established for the determination of 12 mycotoxins (ochratoxin A, ochratoxin B, aflatoxin B1, aflatoxin B2, aflatoxin G1, aflatoxin G2, HT-2 toxin, sterigmatocystin, diacetoxysciroenol, penicillic acid, mycophenolic acid, and citreoviridin) in edible oil, soy sauce, and bean sauce. Samples were extracted by 80:20 (v:v) acetonitrile-water solution, purified by PRiME HLB column, separated by aQ C18 column with mobile phase consisting of 0.5 mmol/L ammonium acetate-0.1% formic acid aqueous solution and methanol. The results showed that the limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantification (LOQs) of 12 mycotoxins were 0.12–1.2 μg/L and 0.40–4.0 μg/L, respectively. The determination coefficients of 12 mycotoxins in the range of 0.20–100 μg/L were > 0.998. The average recoveries in soy sauce and bean sauce were 78.4–106.8%, and the relative standard deviations (RSDs) were 1.2–9.7% under three levels, including LOQ, 2× LOQ and 10 × LOQ. The average recoveries in edible oil were 78.3–115.6%, and the precision RSD (n = 6) was 0.9–8.6%. A total of 24 edible oils, soy sauce and bean sauce samples were analyzed by this method. AFB1, AFB2, sterigmatocystin and mycophenolic acid were detected in several samples at concentrations ranging from 1.0 to 22.1 μg/kg. The method is simple, sensitive, and rapid and can be used for screening and quantitative analysis of mycotoxin contamination in edible oil, soy sauce, and bean sauce.

Abstract
Phenolic compounds can cause health problems in humans through the food chain. Considering that fish play an important role in human diets, we established a rapid, simple and high-throughput method for the determination of 18 phenolic compounds in fish based on a modified QuEChERS sample preparation method combined with GC-MS. The average recovery of the 18 phenolic compounds was 81.3-116% at 3 spiked levels, and the relative standard deviations, RSDr and RSDwR, were in the range of 1.1-11.3% and 1.5-12.2%, respectively. The limit of detection was 2.0-10.1 μg/kg. Satisfactory linear relationships (R2 > 0.998) were observed for the phenolic compounds in their corresponding concentration ranges. Moreover, the established method exhibited a high sensitivity, good stability, and reliability. The development of this method has an important theoretical and practical significance for establishing standards and to control the residue levels of phenolic compounds in fish.

Abstract
The fragmentation pathway of H2PO2- in MS was obtained by Orbitrap HRMS and the reverse confirmation was carried out by the neutral loss detection experiment. The results showed that H2PO2- with even electron ion would produce the neutral loss of 2H and form a new even electron ion with a pair of lone-pair electrons. Based on this, a LC-MS/MS method was developed for the determination of H2PO2- in flour and flour products. The H2PO2- was separated on an Acclaim Trinity P1 composite ion exchange column, and then detected by MS/MS under MRM mode. Finally, the developed method was validated in terms of the linearity, selectivity, accuracy, precision and matrix effect. The method showed a good linearity (R2>0.999) in the concentration range of 50 ∼ 1500 μg/L. The LOD and LOQ for H2PO2- were 10.0 mg/kg and 30.0 mg/kg, respectively. The average recoveries and RSDs (n = 6) were 93.0%∼102.9% and 2.6 ∼ 5.6%, respectively.

Herein, an improved method for detecting the endocrine-disrupting chemicals in milk is presented, which is based on HPLC-MS/MS, coupled with a quick, effective, and safe method. The linearity of the proposed method was in the range of 0.05-100 μg/L, and all correlation coefficients were ≥0.9973. At three concentration levels, the spiked recoveries ranged from 77.7% to 107.5%, relative standard deviations ranged from 0.2% to 14.6%, limits of quantitation ranged from 0.1 to 40 μg/kg, limits of detection ranged from 0.03 to 13.3 μg/kg. The proposed method for the identification and quantitation of 26 endocrine disruptors present in milk is not only easy, fast, and cost-efficient but also provides a reference for the detection of various endocrine disruptors in milk and other dairy products. Abstract
Natural biomass magnetic porous carbon was successfully prepared via a cost-effective and green route using mangosteen shell as raw material. The prepared magnetic porous carbon was used as a magnetic solid phase extraction adsorbent for bisphenols enrichment from beverages followed by high-performance liquid chromatographyquadrupole Orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry. Parameters affecting extraction efficiency including sample solutionpH, adsorbent amount, extraction time, eluent type and volume were optimized. Results showed that biomass magnetic porous carbon had excellent adsorption properties for bisphenols due to its large specific surface area and abundant functional groups, which could form hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking with bisphenols. The enrichment factor of 3 bisphenolswere in the range of15∼19. Under optimum conditions, favorable linearity for all analytes was obtained with correlation coefficients higher than 0.998. Recoveries of spiked samples were in the range of 88.5%∼105.1% with relative standard deviation of 3.4%∼5.5%. Abstract
Functionalized magnetic nanoporous carbon derived from banana peel was synthesized through carbonization, porogenesis, carboxylation and magnetization using banana peel and was successfully used as a magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) material for the enrichment of six bisphenols (BPs) from beverage and water samples. After the optimization of MSPE process, the enrichment factors of six target analytes were in the range of 74-112 for water samples, and 15-22 for beverage samples. Then, high-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-Orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry (HPLC-Q Orbitrap-HRMS) was used for the separation and determination of the target analytes. Results showed that the extraction recoveries for 6 BPs were in the range of 71.9-108.4% with an RSD of 2.5-7.5% (n = 6). These results demonstrated that the as-prepared material could efficiently enrich some aromatic compounds and the proposed method is reliable and robust for the determination of BPs in water and beverage samples.

Abstract
Bisphenol analogues (BPs) are emerging contaminants that have been widely detected in water environments. The presence of substituted hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups in the molecule may lead to unclear performance in passive sampling. This study tested the accumulation capacity and passive sampling of fifteen BPs in a triolein-embedded cellulose acetate membrane (TECAM) passive sampler. In a dynamic accumulation experiment, twelve hydrophobic BPs accumulated in the TECAM with concentrations ranging from 251 ng g-1 to 6283 ng g-1, and three hydrophilic BPs did not accumulate during the 72 h exposure duration. BPs accumulations were determined by the hydrophilic and hydrophobic substituent groups in molecule structures. The estimated passive sampling parameters showed correlations to both the log Kow values and chemical structures, and compared to other contaminants, such as organophosphorus flame retardants. Environmental factors, including flow rate, temperature, salinity, and pH, that affect the accumulation of BPs in the TECAM were tested, and the flow rate was found to be an important factor affecting the uptake rate. The isotropic exchange kinetics for BPs in the TECAM were verified, and the results indicated that BPs can be calibrated with performance reference compounds (PRCs) in field applications. Finally, a field deployment of TECAM in river waters successfully estimated the time-weighted concentrations of two hydrophobic BPs. To address the inherent weaknesses of TECAM in sampling hydrophilic and moderately hydrophobic BPs, future studies should explore alternative passive samplers, such as hydrophilic-lipophilic balance sorbent-embedded cellulose acetate membranes, to sample BPs in surface waters.

Abstract
A robust and sensitive isotope dilution UPLC-MS/MS method was established for the simultaneous analysis of acrylamide (AA), 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), and 2-amino-1-methyl-6-phenylimidazo[4,5-b]-pyridine (PhIP). A fairly good separation of three analytes was achieved within 4.5 min. High correlation coefficients (R2 > 0.9998) of the three compounds were obtained in their respective linear ranges. This method demonstrated low limits of detection (1.57 μg/L for AA, 0.61 μg/L for HMF, and 0.02 μg/L for PhIP) and limits of quantification (5.22 μg/L for AA, 2.03 μg/L for HMF, and 0.05 μg/L for PhIP). This method also demonstrated excellent quantification accuracy (99.02%-101.12%), precision (RSD < 6%), and recovery (82.83-119.92%) in the Maillard model systems and deep-fried meatballs. This work develops a fundamental method for the rapid simultaneous determination of AA, HMF, and PhIP in thermally processed foods that are both carbohydrates-rich and protein-rich, meanwhile providing technical support for the generation mechanism of various hazards.

Abstract
Bisphenol A is a phenolic plasticizer used in the production of various plastic products. Its endocrine-disrupting effects on ecological and human health lead to replacement with its structural analogs. The occurrence of these analogs in the soil environment, which is an important sink for bisphenols, has been rarely reported. In this study, a robust method was developed to determine bisphenol A and 13 analogs in soil using accelerated solvent extraction combined with in-line purification for fast and efficient extraction and ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry for simultaneous and accurate quantification. The method detection limits of 14 bisphenols were between 0.01 and 0.39 ng g-1, and the recoveries were in the range of 80%-120%. The developed method was applied to 29 agricultural and urban soil samples from 21 provinces in China, and 12 bisphenols were detected. Among them, the contents of bisphenol A, F, and P were up to 166.0, 212.9, and 78.2 ng g-1 dry weight, respectively. The maximum concentration of bisphenol P was at least ten times higher than literature values in food and other environmental matrices. The results of this study showed that "hot spots" existed for bisphenol pollution in soil and that further investigations were necessary to avoid regrettable substitutions.

Abstract
A new matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) extraction methodology, combined with high-performance liquid chromatography equipped with a diode-array detector, was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of 10 compounds in mussels from Galician Rias (Spain). These pollutants are compounds commonly used for plastic production as additives, as well as common plastic contaminants. The compounds selected were bisphenol-A, bisphenol-F, bisphenol-S, nonylphenol-9, nonylphenol, diethyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, dichlorodiphenyldichloroethane, and dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene. The parameters affecting the MSPD extraction efficiency such as the type of sorbent, mass sample-sorbent ratio, and extraction solvent were optimised. The proposed method provided satisfactory quantitative recoveries (80-100%), with relative standard deviations lower than 7%. In all cases, the matrix-matched calibration curves were linear in the concentration range of 0.32-120.00 µg/kg, with quantification limits of 0.25-16.20 µg/kg. The novel developed MSPD-high-performance liquid chromatography methodology provided good sensitivity, accuracy, and repeatability for quality control analysis in mussels.

Abstract
Perchlorate (ClO4-), a type of contaminant with high diffusivity and durability, has been widely detected in water and foodstuffs, arousing a global concern. It can interfere with normal function of the human thyroid gland, affecting human health. Therefore, determination of perchlorate in water and foodstuffs, and removal from water are important. This review focuses on the occurrence of perchlorate, mainly in water and foodstuffs, and provides an overview of analytical methods for determination of perchlorate over the last two decades. In addition, merits and drawbacks of the various methods have been considered. This review also highlights the most commonly used approaches for removal of perchlorate from water. Finally, current trends and future perspectives in determination of perchlorate and removal from water are proposed. This review provided a comprehensive understanding of perchlorate occurrence and its removal from water, and had practical significance in reducing the harm of perchlorate to human.

Abstract
Triple quadrupole mass spectrometry has been the main technique for HAAs analysis in recent decade, while it requires extensive optimization of compound-dependent parameters. A novel method based on HPLC-Q-Orbitrap-HRMS was developed firstly for simultaneous determination of eighteen HAAs. Extraction and purification conditions were optimized and the developed method was validated in terms of linearity, accuracy and precision. Results indicated eighteen HAAs and two internal standards could be separated in 12 min using a gradient elution program. The full MS/dd-MS2 scan was adopted for analysis, which indicated favorable recoveries (71.3-114.8%) along with LODs and LOQs in the ranges of 0.02-0.6 and 0.05-2.0 μg/kg, respectively. Internal standards used for calibration could effectively reduce quantification errors produced by matrix effects. The validated method was successfully applied for HAAs analysis in roasted and pan-fried meat and was confirmed to be an alternative method when triple quadrupole mass spectrometry is absent in lab.

Abstract
A novelty single-step cleanup method combined with HPLC coupled with triple quadrupole-linear ion trap MS/MS (HPLC-QTRAP-MS/MS) was developed for the analysis of tricaine, tetracaine, and bupivacaine in fish tissue. The target analytes were extracted using acetonitrile based on the modified QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe) method under ultrasound irradiation. A cheap analytical filtration syringe (CAFS) cleanup column for single-step purification was proposed first; 300 mg of primary/secondary amino was proposed as the optimum purification sorbent; 1 mL of acetonitrile extract was transferred into a CAFS cleanup column and purified for analysis using HPLC-QTRAP-MS/MS. The limits of detection and the limits of quantification were 2.0 and 5.0 μg kg-1 , respectively. The recoveries were in the range of 88.73-108.72%. Inter-day and intra-day relative standard deviations were lower than 15% for all analytes. The developed method has been applied to measure real samples obtained from the local market.

Abstract
In this work, the magnetic sorbents based on different surfactant-coupled titanium dioxide coated iron-aluminium mixed metal hydroxide were investigated as sorbent for extraction of bisphenol compounds. The structure, morphology, and magnetic property of the synthesized sorbents were investigated. The cetyltrimethylammonium bromide-titanium dioxide coated iron-aluminium mixed metal hydroxide (Fe-Al MMH@TiO2-CTAB) exhibited excellent extraction performance toward bisphenols and was selected as the sorbent for development of magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) method. The entire MSPE process was optimized, and the extract was analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detector. The method provided wide linear calibration ranges for bisphenols between 0.3-6000 μg L-1 with maximum enrichment factors of 280. The limits of detection and limits of quantification were in the ranges of 0.08-0.3 and 0.3-1.0 μg L-1, respectively. The proposed MSPE method was tested for determination of bisphenols in carbonated beverages. The studied carbonated beverages were mostly free of bisphenol contamination; however, BPS, BPA and BPB were detected in samples taken from defective cans. The relative recoveries ranging of 80.2-118.9% were obtained. The as-prepared Fe-Al MMH@TiO2-CTAB sorbent provided high sorption capacities in the range of 2215-2451 mg kg-1 and could be a promising material for bisphenols in beverage samples.

Abstract
The presence and distribution of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in the mariculture fish from Pulau Kukup, Johor of Malaysia have been studied along with the impact on human health. Six different species of mariculture fish were collected, due to their high consumption in the Asian region-especially Malaysia, to assess their levels of EDCs. The highest concentration of EDCs detected in the muscle was dexamethasone (2.37-15.84 ng/g) and (0.77-13.41 ng/g), in the liver was dexamethasone (<2.54-43.56 ng/g) and progesterone (2.23-9.78 ng/g), and in the reproductive organ are dexamethasone (<2.54-37.23 ng/g) and caffeine (0.21-18.92 ng/g). The human health risk assessment in the current study suggested that there is no potential risk to the consumer because the hazard index was below 1 (HI < 1). The present study provides information on the pollution profile of EDCs and the associated human health risk with EDCs in mariculture fish.

Abstract
The existing extraction and detection methods of bongkrekic acid (BKA) and isobongkrekic acid (IBKA) are complex, time-consuming and solvent-consuming. In this work, a simple and fast pre-concentration procedure based on Fe3O4/HNTs was developed for the determination of BKA and IBKA in rice noodles using HPLC-Orbitrap HRMS. The structure and morphology of Fe3O4/HNTs was characterized by means of XRD, SEM, FT-IR and VSM. Parameters affecting the extraction efficiency including adsorbent amount, pH, extraction time, type and volume of eluent were investigated by employing the response surface method. Results indicated that the proposed method had favorable linearity in the concentration range of 2-200 μg/L with a correlation coefficient >0.998. Method LOD and LOQ were 0.3 μg/kg and 1.0 μg/kg, respectively. Finally, the method was successfully applied to determine BKA and IBKA in rice noodle samples from southern China with recoveries ranging from 79.8% to 102.6% and relative standard deviation (RSD) of 4.2%-7.1%.

Abstract
In the present study, a modified QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe) method was proposed for the simultaneous analysis of 75 pesticides in maca and Moringa oleifera with ultra-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI-MS/MS). The developed method was validated in accordance with linearity, linear range, limit of detection, limit of quantification, accuracy, precision, and matrix effect. Each analyte had good linearity (R2 > 0.99) in the corresponding concentration range. The method LOD and LOQ values of all the analytes ranged from 0.01 μg kg−1 to 303.35 μg kg−1 and 0.03 μg kg−1 to 1011.15 μg kg−1, respectively. The recoveries (n = 6) of the analyzed pesticides were in the range of 75.92–113.43%. The RSDs of precision were between 0.60% and 7.36%. All matrix effect values ranged from 81.79% to 118.71% and 80.36% to 119.64% in maca and Moringa oleifera, respectively. The analysis of 103 samples showed the presence of isofenphos-methyl in some of them. The method had a good application prospect and could be used as a general approach for the quantitative determination of pesticide residues in food. Abstract
The potent aroma compounds in butter from four kinds of Chinese butter hotpot seasoning were first investigated by analyzing the isolates from solid-phase microextraction. A total of 49 aroma compounds were identified, and 23 of them were highly correlated with the aroma profiles of the butter by partial least squares regression analysis. Aroma extract dilution analysis and odor activity value calculations were applied to further reveal the dominant odorants. Fifty-three odorants with flavor dilution factors between 1 and 1024 were identified and OAVs of 17 odorants were greater than 1. Finally, an aroma recombination experiment was prepared by mixing the aroma-active compounds (OAVs > 1), and the aroma profile of the recombination showed good agreement with that of the original sample. Omission tests showed that 2-furfurylthiol, 2-acetylthiazole, anethole, (E)-2-decenal, and 1,8-cineole were the key odorants for the overall aroma of butter.

Abstract
Egg yolks are a good source of folates. However, the method for analyzing the naturally occurring folates in egg yolks is complicated and time-consuming. In this study, a simplified pre-treatment method followed by validated HPLC-MS/MS was developed to determine native folates in eggs from laying hens treated with different amounts of folic acid. The modified enhanced matrix removal -lipid method to purify samples showed good performance in lipid elimination, reduction of steps and time savings. According to experimental analysis, yolks contained total folate amounts ranging from 147 to 760 μg/100 g when laying hens' diet was supplemented with folic acid from 0 to 10 mg/kg. Four folate vitamers were detected in egg yolks: 5-methyltetrahydrofolate accounted for 91-98% of total folates, whereas folic acid, 5-formyltetrahydrofolate and 10-formylfolic acid together accounted for 2-9%. Therefore, laying hens efficiently converted folic acid in feed into 5-methyltetrahydrofolate in eggs with little folic acid deposition.

Abstract
The present work reported a high-throughput strategy for the analysis of 21 perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) in drinking water, tap water, river water and plant effluent from southern China by supramolecular solvent (SUPARS) vortex-mixed microextraction combined with high performance liquid chromatography-Orbitrap high resolution mass spectrometry (HPLC-Orbitrap HRMS). The SUPRAS without heating assistance is less solvent-consumption, meeting the requirements for green environmental protection and sustainable development. Parameters in the microextraction such as volume of dodecanol and tetrahydrofuran (THF), vortexing extraction and centrifugation time, salt concentration were investigated. The optimal extraction conditions were 250 μL of undecanol, 1.0 mL of THF and 20.0% (w/v, 4 g) NaCl. Under the optimum conditions, method limit of detection and method limit of quantitation in the ranges of 0.01-0.08 μg/L and 0.03-0.25 μg/L, good recoveries (72.5-117.8%) and intra-day precision (1.1-11.2%, n = 6), high enrichment factors (48-78) were obtained. The developed method was successfully applied for analysis of PFCs in 13 drinking water, tap water, river water and plant effluent samples collected from southern China. Perfluorobutane sulfonic acid was detected in one river water with concentration of 0.48 μg/L and 1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid was detected in one river water and two plant effluent samples with concentrations in the range of 0.14-0.67 μg/L.

Abstract
A multi-residue method has been developed for the identification and quantification of 78 compounds from seven different classes of veterinary drugs in eggs. This method was based on dispersive solid phase extraction where mixed-mode cation exchange sorbent was used to combine the isolation of compounds and sample purification. The analysis was performed using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, and the chromatographic run time of one injection was 9.5 min. The mean recovery ranged from 70.5% to 119.2% and inter-day relative standard deviation was less than 17.0%. The limit of quantification ranged between 0.1 and 1 μg/kg, which was sufficient to support surveillance monitoring. Lastly, the method was successfully used to detect residues of veterinary drug in real samples. The dietary exposure risk was subsequently assessed using the results of the survey, indicating that the evaluated daily intake and percentage of acceptable daily intake were at toxicologically acceptable levels.

Abstract
Most of the reported magnetic adsorbents are difficult to absorb multi-class of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), especially the short-chain PFASs. In this work, a novel fluorine and nitrogen functionalized magnetic graphene (G-NH-FBC/Fe2O3) was first synthesized and characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The as-prepared G-NH-FBC/Fe2O3 was utilized as adsorbents for the magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) of 19 PFASs from water and functional beverages and showed excellent adsorption capacity probably due to the hydrophobic interaction. Under the optimal pretreatment and instrumental conditions, a selective and sensitive high performance liquid chromatography Orbitrap high resolution mass spectrometry (HPLC-Orbitrap HRMS) method was developed for the determination of PFASs. Results indicated that the proposed method had favorable linearity (R2 ≥ 0.994) within a wide range of concentrations. Limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) for the developed method ranged from 3 ng/L to 15 ng/L and 10 ng/L to 49 ng/L, respectively. Finally, the method was successfully applied to determine PFASs in drinking water, river water, tap water, factory drainage and functional beverages with recoveries ranging from 71.9% to 117.6% and relative standard deviation of <10%. The prepared G-NH-FBC/Fe2O3 was easy to recycle and could be reused for five times without significant decrease in extraction recoveries of PFASs. These results demonstrated that this novel magnetic G-NH-FBC/Fe2O3 could efficiently enrich PFASs and the proposed method is reliable and robust for the determination of PFASs in water and beverage samples.

Abstract
Chicken soup is one of the most popular Chinese-style soups due to its high nutritional value and special flavor. However, the nutrients, mainly soluble protein, in the soup are relatively low. The aim of the present work was to enhance the protein solubility and other physicochemical properties of Cordyceps militaris chicken soup by enzymatic hydrolysis pretreatment. Results indicated that the soluble protein dissolution rate and flavor nucleotides (I+G) of Cordyceps militaris chicken soup had 1.6-fold and 0.5-fold increase, respectively, after enzymatic hydrolysis pretreatment. Not only the contents of total amino acids (TAA) and essential amino acids (EAA) in Cordyceps militaris chicken soup significantly increased, the organoleptic quality was also markedly improved after the enzymatic hydrolysis pretreatment. The present work provides a potential approach, which is enzymatic hydrolysis pretreatment of chicken meat, to enhance the protein solubility and physicochemical quality of Cordyceps militaris chicken soup.

Abstract
Chitosan functionalized magnetic graphene oxide nanocomposite (Fe3O4@SiO2@CS/GO) was successfully fabricated via a facile amide reaction between chitosan and graphene oxide. A novel extraction method using Fe3O4@SiO2@CS/GO as nanoadsorbent was developed and applied to the efficient extraction and determination of multiple alkaloids from the complex matrix. The composition and structure of the nanoadsorbent was systematically characterized by various techniques. The nanoadsorbent possesses performances of high efficiency, easy operation, superparamagnetism, environment friendly and economic feasibility. The adsorption mechanism for alkaloids included π-π electron-donor-acceptor interaction, cation-π interaction and hydrogen bonding. The principal parameters influencing extraction procedure such as adsorbent dosage, pH, adsorption time, desorption conditions and regeneration cycles were investigated and optimized. Under the optimized conditions, the method exhibited good linear dynamic range with correlation coefficient (r2) higher than 0.997 and the limit of detection (LOD) was among 0.016--0.092 μg kg-1. Intra- and inter-day relative standard deviations (RSDs) were <10%. These results indicated that the developed method was successfully applied for simultaneous detection of alkaloids in hotpot. This study provided valuable guidance and effective method for the analysis of alkaloids in intricate interference system.

Abstract
Atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS) were used to analyze the contents of nine metal elements (Pb, As, Hg, Cd, Cr, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn) in 100 groups of Chongqing hotpot seasoning (CHS). Meanwhile, Crystal Ball software based on Monte Carlo simulation technology was used to assess the exposure risk of the nine metal elements in CHS for people of different ages in Chongqing. In general, the average Hazard Index (HI) of the nine metal elements is 0.306 < 1, indicating no non-carcinogenic risks from these nine elements for inhabitants of Chongqing under the current consumption level of CHS. Children (ages 7–13) and adult women have higher chronic daily intake (CDI) than adult males. The carcinogenic risk of Pb, As and Cd are within the acceptable risk level (10−6 to 10−4). The sensitivity analysis suggests that the contents of the nine metal elements and daily intake (PIR) in CHS were positively correlated with the risk index, while the body weight was negatively correlated with the risk index. This study provides a scientific basis for guiding the safe consumption of Chongqing hotpot, and provides a theoretical basis for the development of safety-compliant CHS quality standards. Abstract
Glucocorticoids have a certain whitening effect on the skin. However, frequent and long-term use of cosmetics including glucocorticoids is harmful to health. Herein, we proposed a novel micro-solid phase extraction method for the detection of prednisolone acetate, prednisone, and prednisolone in cosmetics coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography. In this method, porous monolithic polymer micro-extraction bars were prepared by "one-step, one-pot" in situ photopolymerization combined with sacrificial support in hollow fiber under water atmosphere. The crucial factors such as pH of sample solution, extraction, and elution times that influence micro-extraction were optimized and found to be 9.0, 2 h, and 32 min, respectively. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the linear range of the calibration curves were from 5.0 to 2000 µg/L with correlation coefficients (R2 ) between 0.9922 and 0.9996. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were 1.5 µg/L and 5.0 µg/L, respectively, and the recoveries were found to be in range of 69.0-113.3%. The analysis of precision for intraday and interday were less than 10.40 and 10.59%. The device has been successfully achieved photopolymerization under water atmosphere. The results indicated that this method is simple, accurate, and satisfactory for the pretreatment and determination of glucocorticoids in complex cosmetics samples.

Abstract
Ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography coupled to quadrupole Orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry (UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap-HRMS) was used for the screening and determination of 14 heterocyclic aromatic amines (HAAs) in Chinese traditional bacon and sausage. HAAs were extracted from samples using sodium hydroxide solution with acetonitrile, and purified by solid-phase extraction. UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap-HRMS acquired full MS data for quantification, and UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap-Full MS/dd-MS2 (i.e., data-dependent scan mode) obtained product ion spectra for identification. Quantification was achieved using matrix-matched standard calibration curves along with the use of isotope labeled standards as internal standards. Linearity was observed in the range of 0.2-500 μg/L for 14 HAAs, with determination coefficients (R2) greater than 0.997. Limits of detection and limits of quantification were in the ranges of 0.1-0.8 μg/kg and 0.3-2.5 μg/kg, respectively. UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap-HRMS demonstrated acceptable performance for quantification and confirmation of HAAs, while UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap-Full MS/dd-MS2 along with library matching showed great potential for screening and confirmation of unknown HAAs in meat products.
