Abstract
Since the PLAGL1 (ZAC1) gene is expressed in the human endometrium. It may be involved in the etiology of endometrial disorders by its abnormal regulation and expression. This study aimed to investigate the Zac1 gene and related microRNA and LncRNA and its alterations in patients with endometriosis. Blood plasma, ectopic (EC) and eutopic (EU) endometrial samples were gathered from 30 patients with endometriosis and 30 healthy fertile women, and the Q-PCR technique was used to determine the expression level of Zac1 mRNA and microRNAs (miR-1271-5p, hsa-miR-490-3pin) and LncRNAs (TONSL-AS1 TONSL, KCNQ1OT1 KCNQ1). According to the results, the Zac1 gene and KCNQ1OT1 KCNQ1, TONSL-AS1 TONSL LncRNA expression were significantly decreased in the endometriosis group versus the control group (P < 0.05). MiR-1271-5p and hsa-miR-490-3pin microRNA expression were significantly raised in the endometriosis group as opposed to the control group (P < 0.05). In summary, this research for the first time revealed that identifying Zac1 expression provides us with new indicators for evaluating endometriosis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Endometriosis is a common gynecological condition with a substantial economic burden on society. It is known that both genetic and environmental factors are contributing to the phenotypic development of the disease. MicroRNAs have a vital role in the pathogenesis of endometriosis. miR-1271 and its direct target gene, GRB2 (growth factor receptor-bound protein 2), expression have been studied in gynecologic cancers, while their role in endometriosis has not been studied. OBJECTIVE We measured miR-1271 and GRB2 gene expression in the eutopic and ectopic tissues of patients (endometrial tissues) in contrast to the control samples from healthy women. MATERIALS AND METHODS In this study, a total of 45 samples (15 control samples, 15 eutopic samples and 15 ectopic samples) were collected. We used qRT-PCR (quantitative polymerase chain reaction) to evaluate the expression levels of the miR-1271 and GRB2 gene. RESULTS We observed inverse expression of miR-1271 and GRB2 gene. MiR-1271 expression was significantly reduced in patients with endometriosis compared with healthy women. While there was a noticeable increase in the expression level of its target gene, GRB2, in tissues of endometriosis patients compared with normal control samples. CONCLUSION We have shown an inverse relationship between the reduction of miR-1271 expression level and increase in the expression level of GRB2, therefore, increased GRB2 expression in endometriosis tissues can be due to decreased expression of this microRNA. Our findings suggested that miR-1271 maybe play a role as a biomarker in the diagnosis of patients with endometriosis.

Abstract
Endometriosis is a fascinating disease that we strive to better understand. Molecular techniques are shedding new light on many important aspects of this disease: from pathogenesis to the recognition of distinct disease variants like deep infiltrating endometriosis. The observation that endometriosis is a cancer precursor has now been strengthened with the knowledge that mutations that are present in endometriosis-associated cancers can be found in adjacent endometriosis lesions. Recent genomic studies, placed in context, suggest that deep infiltrating endometriosis may represent a benign neoplasm that invades locally but rarely metastasises. Further research will help elucidate distinct aberrations which result in this phenotype. With respect to identifying those patients who may be at risk of developing endometriosis-associated cancers, a combination of molecular, pathological, and inheritance markers may define a high-risk group that might benefit from risk-reducing strategies.

Abstract
High peritoneal recurrence rate in advanced epithelial ovarian cancer after complete macroscopic cytoreductive surgery and platinum-based chemotherapy, raises the issue of peritoneal microscopic disease management and requires the development of additional locoregional treatment strategies. Photodynamic therapy is an effective treatment already applied in other medical and surgical indications. After administration of a photosensitizer which accumulates in cancer cells, illumination with a light of adequate wavelength may induce photochemical reaction between photosensitizer and tissue oxygen which lead to reactive oxygen species production and cytotoxic phenomenon. Photodynamic therapy's ability to treat superficial lesions disseminated on large area makes it an excellent candidate to insure destruction of microscopic peritoneal metastases in addition to macroscopic cytoreductive surgery in order to decrease peritoneal recurrence rate. Development of intraperitoneal photodynamic therapy has been limited by its poor tolerance related to the lack of specificity of photosensitizers and the location of the metastases in proximity to adjacent intraperitoneal organs. Our aim is to review clinical data concerning intraperitoneal photodynamic therapy and epithelial ovarian cancer to identify the limits of this strategy and to provide solutions which may be applied to solve these barriers and enable safe and effective treatment. Targeted photosensitizers and innovative illumination solutions are mandatory to continue research in this field and to consider the feasibility of clinical trials.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Since the recent evidence of a tubal origin of most ovarian cancers, opportunistic salpingectomy could be discussed as a prophylactic strategy in the general population and with hereditary predisposition. We aimed to survey French gynecological surgeons about their current surgical practice of prophylactic salpingectomy. METHODS An anonymous online survey was sent to French obstetrician-gynaecologists and gynecological surgeons. There were 13 questions about their current clinical practice and techniques of salpingectomy during a benign hysterectomy or as a tubal sterilization method, salpingectomy versus salpingo-oophorectomy in the population with genetic risk, salpingectomy in relationship with endometriosis and questions including histopathological considerations. RESULTS Among the 569 respondents, opportunistic salpingectomy was always performed between 42.48% and 43.44% during laparoscopic, laparoscopic-assisted vaginal or laparotomic hysterectomy and only 12.26% in case of vaginal route. In the genetic population, salpingo-oophorectomy was mainly performed. Tubal sterilization was often practiced by the hysteroscopic route. More than 90% of respondents didn't perform salpingectomy in case of endometriosis. There was not any specific tubal histopathological protocol in 71.54% of cases. CONCLUSIONS Salpingectomy may be a preventing strategy in the low- and high-risk population. The survey's responses show that salpingectomy seems to be a current practice during benign hysterectomy for more than 40% doctors. However, there is not any change with no more salpingectomy in the population with genetic risk, or in case of endometriosis or tubal sterilization.
