Abstract
Background The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has stated that citalopram and escitalopram should not be used at daily doses above 40 mg/20 mg due to risk for development of fatal ventricular arrhythmias like torsade de pointes (TdP). Yet, supratherapeutic serum concentrations of citalopram are common and predicting patients at risk for TdP is of high clinical value. Accordingly, we investigated whether QRS/QTc; developed for predicting TdP in hypothermic patients could be used in citalopram intoxication. Methods A total of 16 publications describing patients suffering from complications due to citalopram or escitalopram treatment, or intoxication with the same substances, were included after a systematic search. The main criterion for inclusion was admission ECG, either with given QRS and QTc values or with attached ECG-files that enabled calculation. Results QRS/QTc rather that QTc alone emerged as a marker of ventricular arrhythmia in the 16 included case reports, with highly significant (p < 0.0005) lower values in patients displaying ventricular arrhythmias. Conclusion Citalopram and escitalopram are extensively used in treatment of depressive disorders, and a large proportion of patients have supratherapeutic serum concentrations. Calculation of QRS/QTc in available case reports show that this novel ECG-marker has potential to predict patients at risk for developing ventricular arrhythmias.

Abstract
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are widely used in the treatment of many types of mental disorders. Citalopram is commonly used as a new generation of SSRIs in this regard; however, unfortunately, its overdose is associated with seizure and heart disorders. The reported case in the present study indicated recurrent seizures, nonspecific ST-T changes, and prolonged QT interval due to the overuse of citalopram. The patient had bilateral anterior shoulder dislocation along with right proximal humerus fracture that was occurred during the seizure. The dislocation was initially reduced and then fixed. Moreover, the seizure was controlled with diazepam without any problems, and cardiac monitoring continued for 2 days. Massive citalopram overdose may be associated with recurrent seizures and QT prolongation. Complications postseizures, such as shoulder dislocations, should be examined for and managed appropriately.

Abstract
Vilazodone hydrochloride is the first member in a new class of antidepressants called indolealkylamines and was approved for use in the United States in 2011 for major depressive disorder. It has a combined mechanism of action of a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and a partial agonist of serotonin 5-HT1A receptors. It has not been approved for use in the pediatric population, and toxicity from exploratory vilazodone ingestion has been rarely described to date. We describe 2 children with laboratory-confirmed vilazodone ingestions that led to significant toxicity including refractory status epilepticus in 1 patient and likely transient seizure activity in the other. Both patients required multiple doses of benzodiazepines; in the more severe case, barbiturates were added to control seizure activity. These children returned to baseline and had no prolonged neurologic complications. Pediatric experience with vilazodone is limited; however, the literature demonstrates 3 additional case reports of children experiencing seizure after vilazodone ingestion. With the 2 new cases presented here, it seems prudent to educate prescribers and families of the potential dangers of ingestion of vilazodone tablets by young children.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Citalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) with cardiac and neurologic toxicities as well as the potential for serotonin syndrome. In most instances, patients recover fully from toxic ingestions of SSRIs. We describe a fatal case of a citalopram overdose. CASE REPORT A 35-year-old woman presented to the emergency department after having witnessed seizures at home. An empty citalopram prescription bottle was located, and an intentional overdose was suspected. At the scene, she was found to be in cardiac arrest with pulseless electrical activity and underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including intravenous epinephrine and bicarbonate. In the emergency department, her physical exam was notable for cough and gag reflexes and movement in all extremities with increased muscle tone and tachycardia. Her initial postresuscitation ECG showed sinus rhythm with QRS 92 ms and QTc 502 ms. Her temperature was initially normal, but she rapidly became febrile to 41.8 °C shortly after admission. She was treated symptomatically and with cyproheptadine for suspected serotonin syndrome (SS) but became increasingly hemodynamically unstable over the next 6 h and then developed torsades des pointes (TdP) progressing to pulseless, wide complex tachycardia. She underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for approximately 50 min but ultimately expired. Postmortem serum analysis revealed a citalopram concentration of 7300 ng/mL (therapeutic range 9-200 ng/mL) and THC, but no other non-resuscitation drugs or substances. CASE DISCUSSION Citalopram overdoses often have only mild to moderate symptoms, particularly with ingestions under 600 mg in adults. However, with higher doses, severe manifestations have been described, including QTc prolongation, TdP, and seizures. Serotonin syndrome has also been described in SSRI overdose, and our patient exhibited signs consistent with SS, including increased muscle tone and autonomic dysregulation. Our patient's serum concentration suggests a massive overdose, with major clinical effects, possible SS, and death. CONCLUSIONS Although most patients recover from citalopram overdose, high-dose ingestions can produce severe effects and fatalities may occur. In this case, it is likely that the patient's delayed presentation also contributed significantly to her death. The clinician must be aware of the potential for large ingestions of citalopram to produce life-threatening effects and monitor closely for the neurologic, cardiovascular, and other manifestations that, in rare cases, can be fatal.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Epilepsy is a serious condition which can profoundly affect an individual's life. While there is some evidence to suggest an association between antidepressant use and epilepsy and seizures it is conflicting and not conclusive. Antidepressant prescribing is rising in the UK so it is important to quantify absolute risks with individual antidepressants to enable shared decision making with patients. In this study we assess and quantify the association between antidepressant treatment and the risk of epilepsy and seizures in a large cohort of patients diagnosed with depression aged between 20 and 64 years. METHODS Data on 238,963 patients with a diagnosis of depression aged 20 to 64 from 687 UK practices were extracted from the QResearch primary care database. We used Cox's proportional hazards to analyse the time to the first recorded diagnosis of epilepsy/seizures, excluding patients with a prior history and estimated hazard ratios for antidepressant exposure adjusting for potential confounding variables. RESULTS In the first 5 years of follow-up, 878 (0.37 %) patients had a first diagnosis of epilepsy/seizures with the hazard ratio (HR) significantly increased (P < 0.01) for all antidepressant drug classes and for 8 of the 11 most commonly prescribed drugs. The highest risks (in the first 5 years) compared with no treatment were for trazodone (HR 5.41, 95 % confidence interval (CI) 3.05 to 9.61, number needed to harm (NNH) 65), lofepramine (HR 3.09, 95 % CI 1.73 to 5.50, NNH 138), venlafaxine (HR 2.84, 95 % CI 1.97 to 4.08, NNH 156) and combined antidepressant treatment (HR 2.73, 95 % CI 1.52 to 4.91, NNH 166). CONCLUSIONS Risk of epilepsy/seizures is significantly increased for all classes of antidepressant. There is a need for individual risk-benefit assessments in patients being considered for antidepressant treatment, especially those with ongoing mild depression or with additional risk factors. Residual confounding and indication bias may influence our results, so confirmation may be required from additional studies.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are often used in the treatment of depressive disorders in patients with epilepsy. Pro- and anti-convulsive effects of SSRIs are discussed controversially. The aim of this study was to investigate a possible impact of SSRIs-treatment on duration of EEG and clinical features in epilepsy patients. METHODS We studied video-EEG data from 162 patients with focal epilepsies between January 2006 and March 2008 using a case-control study design. Eleven patients with 19 complex focal seizures (CFSs) and 16 secondary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (sGTCSs) treated with SSRIs (SSRIs+) were matched to 13 patients without SSRIs-treatment (SSRIs-). We compared duration of ictal EEG in CFSs and sGTCSs, duration of convulsions in sGTCSs and duration of postictal EEG suppression after sGTCSs in SSRIs+ and SSRIs- patients. RESULTS Ictal EEG duration of both, CFSs and sGTCSs, was significantly longer in SSRIs+ patients than in SSRIs- patients (p=0.004 and p=0.015, respectively). No significant difference was found between convulsive phase duration of sGTCSs as well as duration of postictal EEG suppression after sGTCSs in both groups. CONCLUSION Seizures last significantly longer in patients with epilepsy and SSRIs as co-medication. A causative role of SSRIs in ictal activity has to be explored in prospective studies.

Abstract
Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are widely used in the community for treating many forms of mental illnesses. Citalopram, a newer generation SSRI, is commonly prescribed, but despite its low toxicity profile has a potential to cause seizures and dysarrythmias in overdose. Data on citalopram overdose-induced metabolic acidosis are scarce. There have been only three cases of metabolic acidosis reported in the literature due to citalopram overdose in humans and we are reporting the fourth one. We report a case of citalopram overdose with metabolic acidosis and generalized seizure. To our best knowledge, this is the first case reported in Saudi Arabia.

Abstract
AIMS Seizures are a recognized complication of citalopram overdose. The present study sought to establish risk factors for seizures in this high-risk patient group, including stated dose ingested, co-ingested drugs or ethanol, and electrolyte disturbances. METHODS A retrospective casenote review was carried out of patients who attended the Emergency Department due to citalopram overdose between January 2000 and July 2007 inclusive. Stepwise logistic regression analysis considered age, gender, stated citalopram dose, acute ethanol consumption, co-ingested drugs, administration of activated charcoal, and hyponatraemia. RESULTS There were 241 patients (177 women), and the median (interquartile range) stated citalopram dose was 300 mg (200 to 600 mg). Generalized seizures occurred in 18 patients (7.5%). Logistic regression analysis found co-ingested tricyclic antidepressants or venlafaxine predicted seizures with odds ratio = 15 (95% confidence interval 3, 75). In the absence of co-ingested drugs, the minimum citalopram dose associated with seizures was 400 mg. Odds ratio for seizures = 1.1 (95% confidence interval 1.0, 1.2) for every 100 mg increment in citalopram dose. Seizures were associated with a greater need for invasive ventilatory support, higher creatine kinase activity, and prolonged hospital stay. CONCLUSIONS Generalized seizures are an important manifestation of citalopram toxicity, and cannot be explained solely by electrolyte disturbances or co-ingestion of other drugs or ethanol. The strongest predictors of seizures in this patient series were ingestion of high citalopram dosages and co-ingestion of drugs capable of lowering seizure threshold.

Abstract
Among the psychiatric comorbid conditions in children and adolescents with epilepsy, depression and anxiety disorders require further attention because they carry the risk of reduced quality of life and life-threatening complications (e.g., suicide). Research in recent years has shed light on both the prevalence of emotional problems in youth with epilepsy and the safety and efficacy of treatment options. A number of challenges exist in treating patients with epilepsy. This is particularly true when seizures are difficult to control and medication regimens are more complex. Some pharmaceutical options may provide assistance with both seizures and emotional distress, but care is needed when considering such treatment approaches. In addition, integration of mental health professionals into the care of patients is necessary when cases are complicated and risk factors are high. Thorough methods to accurately diagnose emotional conditions and regular monitoring of symptoms can help prevent serious problems that can negatively affect the success of children and adolescents in everyday life. Collaboration between disciplines offers the best hope for early identification and treatment of these conditions.

Abstract
A review of US poison center data for 2004 showed over 48,000 exposures to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). A guideline that determines the conditions for emergency department referral and prehospital care could potentially optimize patient outcome, avoid unnecessary emergency department visits, reduce health care costs, and reduce life disruption for patients and caregivers. An evidence-based expert consensus process was used to create the guideline. Relevant articles were abstracted by a trained physician researcher. The first draft of the guideline was created by the lead author. The entire panel discussed and refined the guideline before distribution to secondary reviewers for comment. The panel then made changes based on the secondary review comments. The objective of this guideline is to assist poison center personnel in the appropriate out-of-hospital triage and initial management of patients with a suspected ingestion of an SSRI by 1) describing the process by which an ingestion of an SSRI might be managed, 2) identifying the key decision elements in managing cases of SSRI ingestion, 3) providing clear and practical recommendations that reflect the current state of knowledge, and 4) identifying needs for research. This guideline applies to ingestion of immediate-release forms of SSRIs alone. Co-ingestion of additional substances might require different referral and management recommendations depending on their combined toxicities. This guideline is based on an assessment of current scientific and clinical information. The expert consensus panel recognizes that specific patient care decisions may be at variance with this guideline and are the prerogative of the patient and the health professionals providing care, considering all of the circumstances involved. This guideline does not substitute for clinical judgment. Recommendations are in chronological order of likely clinical use. The grade of recommendation is in parentheses. 1) All patients with suicidal intent, intentional abuse, or in cases in which a malicious intent is suspected (e.g., child abuse or neglect) should be referred to an emergency department. This activity should be guided by local poison center procedures. In general, this should occur regardless of the dose reported (Grade D). 2) Any patient already experiencing any symptoms other than mild effects (mild effects include vomiting, somnolence [lightly sedated and arousable with speaking voice or light touch], mydriasis, or diaphoresis) should be transported to an emergency department. Transportation via ambulance should be considered based on the condition of the patient and the length of time it will take the patient to arrive at the emergency department (Grade D). 3) Asymptomatic patients or those with mild effects (defined above) following isolated unintentional acute SSRI ingestions of up to five times an initial adult therapeutic dose (i.e., citalopram 100 mg, escitalopram 50 mg, fluoxetine 100 mg, fluvoxamine 250 mg, paroxetine 100 mg, sertraline 250 mg) can be observed at home with instructions to call the poison center back if symptoms develop. For patients already on an SSRI, those with ingestion of up to five times their own single therapeutic dose can be observed at home with instructions to call the poison center back if symptoms develop (Grade D). 4) The poison center should consider making follow-up calls during the first 8 hours after ingestion, following its normal procedure. Consideration should be given to the time of day when home observation will take place. Observation during normal sleep hours might not reliably identify the onset of toxicity. Depending on local poison center policy, patients could be referred to an emergency department if the observation would take place during normal sleeping hours of the patient or caretaker (Grade D). 5) Do not induce emesis (Grade C). 6) The use of oral activated charcoal can be considered since the likelihood of SSRI-induced loss of consciousness or seizures is small. However, there are no data to suggest a specific clinical benefit. The routine use of out-of-hospital oral activated charcoal in patients with unintentional SSRI overdose cannot be advocated at this time (Grade C). 7) Use intravenous benzodiazepines for seizures and benzodiazepines and external cooling measures for hyperthermia (>104 degrees F [>40 degrees C]) for SSRI-induced serotonin syndrome. This should be done in consultation with and authorized by EMS medical direction, by a written treatment protocol or policy, or with direct medical oversight (Grade C).

Abstract
Affective disorders in people with epilepsy (PWE) have become increasingly recognized as a primary factor in the morbidity and mortality of epilepsy. To improve the recognition and treatment of affective disorders in PWE, an expert panel comprising members from the Epilepsy Foundation's Mood Disorders Initiative have composed a Consensus Statement. This document focuses on depressive disorders in particular and reviews the appearance and treatment of the disorder in children, adolescents, and adults. Idiosyncratic aspects of the appearance of depression in this population, along with physiological and cognitive issues and barriers to treatment, are reviewed. Finally, a suggested approach to the diagnosis of affective disorders in PWE is presented in detail. This includes the use of psychometric tools for diagnosis and a stepwise algorithmic approach to treatment. Recommendations are based on the general depression literature as well as epilepsy-specific studies. It is hoped that this document will improve the overall detection and subsequent treatment of affective illnesses in PWE.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Clinical trial data provide an approach to the investigation of the effects of psychopharmacological agents, and psychiatric disorders themselves, on seizure threshold. METHODS We accessed public domain data from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Phase II and III clinical trials as Summary Basis of Approval (SBA) reports that noted seizure incidence in trials of psychotropic drugs approved in the United States between 1985 and 2004, involving a total of 75,873 patients. We compared seizure incidence among active drug and placebo groups in psychopharmacological clinical trials and the published rates of unprovoked seizures in the general population. RESULTS Increased seizure incidence was observed with antipsychotics that was accounted for by clozapine and olanzapine, and with drugs indicated for the treatment of OCD that was accounted for by clomipramine. Alprazolam, bupropion immediate release (IR) form, and quetiapine were also associated with higher seizure incidence. The incidence of seizures was significantly lower among patients assigned to antidepressants compared to placebo (standardized incidence ratio = .48; 95% CI, .36- .61). In patients assigned to placebo, seizure incidence was greater than the published incidence of unprovoked seizures in community nonpatient samples. CONCLUSIONS Proconvulsant effects are associated with a subgroup of psychotropic drugs. Second-generation antidepressants other than bupropion have an apparent anticonvulsant effect. Depression, psychotic disorders, and OCD are associated with reduced seizure threshold.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The arrhythmogenic risk of fluoxetine, citalopram, and venlafaxine were evaluated through preclinical assays measuring hERG, blood pressure and electrical alternans over their respective clinical unbound concentration ranges. METHODS Anesthetized guinea pigs were instrumented with jugular and carotid cannulae for drug infusion and blood pressure monitoring respectively; a thoracotomy was performed for placement of a monophasic action potential probe on the left ventricle and for placement of pacing wires on the left ventricular apex. Drugs were infused as a 5-min loading dose immediately followed by a 10-min maintenance dose to achieve clinically relevant plasma concentrations; blood samples were taken at the end of each maintenance dose. Ventricular pacing was performed twice at baseline and at each dose level as follows: 50 preconditioning-beats at S1=220 (or 240) ms immediately followed by 30 test-beats at S2=200 ms. This S1-S2 protocol was repeated for S2=190 to 140 ms. HERG and calcium current measurements were recorded in HEK-293 cells stably expressing hERG potassium currents and freshly isolated guinea pig cardiac myocytes using the whole-cell configuration of the patch clamp technique. RESULTS Physiologically relevant inhibition (IC(20)) of hERG occurred at concentrations 22-fold (fluoxetine), 9-fold (citalopram), and 11-fold (venlafaxine) beyond their respective clinically effective concentration (C(eff)). At the highest achievable levels, fluoxetine (20-fold C(eff)) and citalopram (28-fold C(eff)) significantly decreased heart rate and/or blood pressure as well as increasing electrical alternans by 5 and 18 ms respectively. Venlafaxine increased blood pressure at only 1.3-fold C(eff), but did not increase electrical alternans at the highest achievable dose (3.1-fold C(eff)). DISCUSSION These data suggest that evaluating other dose limiting side effects in relation to a drug's therapeutic range may be crucial for accurate assessment of arrhythmia liability.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aimed to identify rates and correlates of psychotropic drug utilization in children and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings. METHODS A retrospective chart review examined 122 inpatient and 126 outpatient charts from a metropolitan child and youth mental health service in Brisbane, Australia. RESULTS Inpatients received more psychotropic medication than outpatients (71% vs. 25%; p < 0.01). Patients receiving medication were older, had longer hospital admissions, and more complex presentations, including history of abuse or suicide attempts and more diagnoses (all p < 0.01). Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) were the most frequently used drug class (44% inpatients; 14% outpatients), primarily indicated for mood disorders (31%). SSRIs and newer antidepressants (ADs) were used more frequently in patients with a high suicide risk (p < 0.01). Atypical antipsychotics (APs) were also used (inpatients 23%; outpatients 3%), primarily for behavioral disturbances. Half of those receiving medication (51%) received polypharmacy (>1 concurrent drug), with up to four drugs used at one time. Rates of polypharmacy were highest among patients receiving antipsychotics. CONCLUSIONS Use of psychotropic medication is frequent in this population. Future research should initially focus on inpatients and intensive treatment settings and examine both safety and efficacy of interventions for depression in young people, atypical antipsychotics for behavioral disturbances, and polypharmacy.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Despite the frequency of use of citalopram, its clinical effects and pharmacokinetics in overdose in the pediatric patient are not well described. We describe the clinical course and drug levels following the ingestion of citalopram by a 10-month-old female. CASE REPORT A 10 month-old female ingested an unknown amount of citalopram. Approximately 40 min after ingestion, the child developed horizontal nystagmus, followed by a generalized, tonic-clonic seizure that lasted 2 to 3 min very shortly thereafter. The child received 1 mg of midazolam intramuscularly (IM), followed by 1 mg of midazolam intravenously (IV) for termination of this seizure, and was given a loading dose of 20 mg/kg of fosphenytoin IV. Elective orotracheal intubation was done to protect the airway. Despite the use of midazolam and fosphenytoin, the child had another seizure approximately 85 min following the ingestion. A third seizure was noted at approximately 100 min post-ingestion. In the course of treatment, activated charcoal was administered via nasogastric tube, and IV midazolam and phenobarbital were given. The child was transferred to a nearby facility with pediatric intensive care capabilities in stable condition. The child did not experience any hypotension or dysrhythmia, and the electrocardiographic QTc and QRS complex were normal throughout the clinical course. During the subsequent 48 h, the child awoke and regained normal function. This child's recovery was uneventful, and the child was discharged home without sequelae. Plasma levels of citalopram were 1400 ng/ml, 583 ng/ml, 416 ng/ml, and 296 ng/ml, at one, six, 13, and 23 h post-ingestion, respectively. The first level likely represents a predistributional level with subsequent levels giving an elimination t1/2 of 17.38 h. CONCLUSION We report a case of citalopram poisoning in a 10-month-old infant with refractory seizures, and an absence of cardiovascular events with subsequent excellent outcome. The elimination of the parent drug corresponds to an approximate t1/2 of 15-20 h in this single case.

Abstract
Escitalopram (ESC) is a new selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used in the treatment of depression. There are limited data regarding accidental and intentional ESC exposure. We conducted a retrospective chart review of isolated ESC ingestions reported to our regional poison center during 2003-2004. Twenty-eight patients met inclusion criteria. The average patient age was 28.1 years (range 2-75 years) and the average amount of ESC ingested was 62.5 mg (range 5-300 mg from 19 cases). The most common formulation ingested was the 20-mg tablet. There were eight accidental ingestions and 20 intentional overdoses. Six of the eight accidental ingestions were observed at home with follow-up in 24 h, and no adverse outcomes were reported. The other two accidental overdoses were observed in the Emergency Department (ED) and discharged home with no adverse events reported. Nineteen of the intentional overdoses were observed in the ED for approximately 4-6 h and discharged home or to an inpatient psychiatry ward. One of the intentional overdose patients was admitted for persistent lethargy, but had a good outcome. ESC toxicity can theoretically be life threatening, but no patients in our series had adverse sequealae after accidental or intentional overdose.

Abstract
Seizures are a known, relatively rare, consequence of antidepressant treatment. Risk estimates vary depending on the study, source of data and patient population, predisposed vs. nonpredisposed. For newer antidepressants (e.g. selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, bupropion, mirtazepine, etc.), the risk is generally considered to be low (0.0%-0.4%) and not very different from the incidence of first seizure in the general population (0.07%-0.09%). Risk with tricyclic antidepressants at effective therapeutic doses is relatively high (0.4% to 1-2%). Seizure following overdose is a significant and relatively frequent event for some antidepressants. Patients being considered for antidepressant treatment should be screened for predisposition to seizures. Predisposed patients should receive antidepressants cautiously. The seizure potential of antidepressants in patients without a predisposition is low, especially for newer antidepressants. Seizure risk, along with other drug-related considerations, e.g. weight gain, sexual dysfunction and sedation, should be considered when prescribing an antidepressant.

Abstract
Comorbidity with depression is an important determinant of the quality of life for patients with epilepsy. Antidepressant medications can effectively treat depression in epileptic patients, but drug-drug interactions and epileptogenic effects of these drugs pose therapeutic challenges. The mood-stabilizing effects of antiepileptic medications may not be sufficient to treat depression. Therefore, treatments that alleviate the burden of depression without increasing seizure risk or, better yet, with the possibility of improving seizure control are worth exploring. Neuroimaging techniques, such as functional magnetic resonance imaging, are providing novel insights into the pathophysiology of depression in epilepsy. For example, there appears to be prominent brain prefrontal hypoactivity, which may be sustained by the hyperactivity of the seizure focus. If so, neuromodulatory approaches that suppress epileptic focus hyperactivity and concurrently enhance prefrontal activity may be ideally suited. Indeed, vagus nerve stimulation has been shown to yield simultaneous antiseizure and mood effects. Another neuromodulatory technique, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), can also modulate brain activity, but in a noninvasive, painless, and focal manner. Depending on the stimulation parameters, it is possible to enhance or reduce activity in the targeted brain region. Furthermore, TMS has been shown to be effective in treating depression, and preliminary data suggest that this treatment may also be effective for epilepsy treatment. This article reviews these data and explores further the question of whether depression and epilepsy can be simultaneously treated with TMS for optimal therapeutic impact.
