This study delves into the intricacies of blood flow induced by cilia, carrying trihybrid nanoparticles (gold, copper, and titania), within a catheterized arterial annulus under a robust magnetic field. The model incorporates factors like Hall and ion-slip currents (electromagnetic effects on charged particles), metachronal propulsion (movement of cilia for propulsion), viscous dissipation, and entropy. The physical equations in the model are transformed from the laboratory frame to a wave frame and then simplified using conditions like low Reynolds number and long wavelength. Optimal series solutions are obtained through the homotopy perturbation method (HPM). The research explores how various physical parameters shape the bloodstream's features, presenting and analyzing these visually. A notable finding is that an intensification in Hall and ion-slip parameters results in higher blood velocity within the catheterized annulus. Blood cooling is observed with a higher loading of suspended nanoparticles. Entropy generation increases with growing values of Hall and ion-slip parameters, while the reverse trend is noted for the Bejan number. The wall shearing stress (WSS) reduces by 2.84% for 1% increase in Hall parameter. The study also provides a brief overview of how blood boluses (or clumps of blood) are structured under the influence of operating parameters. The modified hybrid nano-blood (MHNB) forms smaller and fewer boluses compared to pure blood (PB). Additionally, longer cilia length results in enhanced trapping of boluses due to stronger recovery motions of the cilia. This research holds potential benefits for practitioners and researchers in diagnosing and assessing conditions such as coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and congenital heart abnormalities, as well as for understanding traumatic brain injury and neurological surgeries.

These sensors may facilitate non-invasive disease diagnosis and monitoring. Cilia Motility is the coordinated movement of cilia, which are hair-like projections present on the surface of particular cells in different species. Cilia serve an important part in several biological functions, including motility, fluid movement, and sensory reception. Cilia motility is a complicated process that requires the coordinated interaction of structural components and molecular pathways. Cilia are made up of a highly structured structure known as the axoneme, which is made up of microtubules grouped in a unique pattern. The axoneme is made up of nine outer doublet microtubules and a core pair of singlet microtubules. This arrangement offers structural support and serves as a scaffold for the proteins involved in ciliary movement. Our latest endeavors investigate these Multiphysics phenomena in ciliary beating flows that are inspired by biology, utilizing copper, gold, and titania nanoparticles. We examine their functions in biological systems such as peristaltic transport computationally. Our models give precise two- and three-dimensional velocity, temperature, and concentration solutions by integrating transverse magnetohydrodynamics with laser heating. Furthermore, at the channel wall expressions, the skin friction coefficient, Sherwood number, Nusselt number and optimization of entropy generation are acquired and analyzed. Important properties of the velocity and scalar profiles are revealed by a thorough analysis of dimensionless parameters. The simplified examination provides more insight into the trapping patterns that result from the complex interaction between nanofluid rheology and optics. These findings greatly contribute to our knowledge and improvement of nanofluidic transport technologies in a variety of fields supporting industry, sustainability, and medicine. Our combined computational and experimental methodology clarifies the complex dynamics in these systems and provides design guidance for the engineering of improved fluidic devices that make use of multifunctional nanomaterial interfaces and peristaltic motion.

METHODS

The present study investigates the MHD electro-osmotic flow of entropy generation analysis for peristaltic movement in a nanofluid with temperature-dependent viscosity. Long wavelengths, i.e., The magnitude of a wave's energy corresponds directly to its frequency while being inversely related to its wavelength in terms of velocity, temperature, and concentration, govern and confine the flow stream in the laminar region. Ohmic heating and hall effects are also included. Graphs are used to obtain and examine numerical solutions for axial velocity, temperature, concentration, Bejan number, and entropy generation. The effects of this research can help to improve pumping and gastrointestinal movements in different engineering devices. Debye-Huckel and lubrication approximations are studied to access the Boltzmann distribution of electric potential across an electric double layer. The investigations of an existing model are important in illuminating the microfluidics machinery used at the micro level for various transport phenomena in which fluids as well as particles are transported together. The current study has many applications and can be further extended to a three-dimensional profile with appropriate modifications and assumptions. When studying entropy generation, it is essential to examine the irreversible factors, while also taking into account the velocity and thermal slip conditions at channel boundaries. Moreover, the concept of entropy generation holds significant importance in comprehending various biological phenomena. Hence, the current research holds promising implications for both industrial and medical fields. The entropy generation is minimum at left wall of the channel for negative values of Helmholtz-Smoluchowski velocity.

Applications of Fractional Partial Differential Equations for MHD Casson Fluid Flow with Innovative Ternary Nanoparticles

This study deals with the modeling issues of the transport problem with a fractional operator. The fractional model with generalized Fourier’s law is discussed for Casson fluid flow over a flat surface. The dimensionless governing model is solved with the Laplace transform method, and the different comparisons are plotted from the obtained solutions. Other features of the problem have been analyzed instead of the symmetric behavior of the properties for different values of the fractional parameter. As a result, the ternary nanoparticles approach can be used to improve the fluid properties better than hybrid and mono nanoparticles. Further, it is evident that the law-based fractional model is more accurate and efficient in fitting any experimental data instead of an artificial replacement.
