Abstract
Diagnosis of diseases with low facilities, speed, accuracy and sensitivity is an important matter in treatment. Bioprobes based on iron oxide nanoparticles are a good candidate for early detection of deadly and infectious diseases such as tetanus due to their high reactivity, biocompatibility, low production cost and sample separation under a magnetic field. In this study, silane groups were coated on surface of iron oxide nanoparticles using tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) hydrolysis. Also, NH2groups were generated on the surface of silanized nanoparticles using 3-aminopropyl triethoxy silane (APTES). Antibody was immobilized on the surface of silanized nanoparticles using TCT trichlorothriazine as activator. Silanization and stabilized antibody were investigated by using of FT-IR, EDX, VSM, SRB technique. UV/vis spectroscopy, fluorescence, agglutination test and ELISA were used for biosensor performance and specificity. The results of FT-IR spectroscopy showed that Si-O-Si and Si-O-Fe bonds and TCT chlorine and amine groups of tetanus anti-toxoid antibodies were formed on the surface of iron oxide nanoparticles. The presence of Si, N and C elements in EDX analysis confirms the silanization of iron oxide nanoparticles. VSM results showed that the amount of magnetic nanoparticles after conjugation is sufficient for biological applications. Antibody stabilization on nanoparticles increased the adsorption intensity in the uv/vis spectrometer. The fluorescence intensity of nano bioprobe increased in the presence of 10 ng ml-1. Nanobio probes were observed as agglomerates in the presence of tetanus toxoid antigen. The presence of tetanus antigen caused the formation of antigen-nanobioprobe antigen complex. Identification of this complex by HRP-bound antibody confirmed the specificity of nanobioprobe. Tetanus magnetic nanobioprobe with a diagnostic limit of 10 ng ml-1of tetanus antigen in a short time can be a good tool in LOC devices and microfluidic chips.

Abstract
Amine-functionalized magnetic nanoparticles NiFe2O4@SiO2@Amine (AMNP), and epoxy functionalized magnetic nanoparticles, CuFe2O4@SiO2@Epoxy (EMNP) were synthesized in three steps. Homogeneous stable dispersion of AMNP and EMNP, at concentrations of 1, 5, 10, 15, 20 wt% in epoxy resin were prepared using stoichiometric amounts of 4,4’-diaminodiphenylsulfone (DDS) as a curing. The optimum ratio of AMNP and EMNP were found to be 5%, and these were investigated by the total enthalpy of the curing reaction using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) thermograms at 10°C/min. The cure kinetics of epoxy resin-functional magnetic nanoparticles-DDS composites were studied using non-isothermal DSC thermograms at different heating rates (5, 10, 15, 20°C/min). The kinetic parameters of the curing process, such as activation energy ( Ea), pre-exponential factor ( A), and rate constant ( k) were determined using several non-isothermal kinetic methods: Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS), Kissinger, Straink, Flynn-Wall-Ozawa (OFW), and Bosewell. The kinetic curing values obtained with different kinetic methods are well-matched. The Ea values were calculated in the range of 59.80 to 65.94, 57.69 to 63.92, and 45.38 to 52.45 kJ.mol−1 for the DGEBA/DDS, DGEBA/DDS/AMNP, and DGEBA/DDS/EMNP systems respectively. Also, The A values, using the Kissinger method, were calculated to be in the range of 7.0 × 105, 4.0 × 105, and 0.2 × 105 S−1 for the DGEBA/DDS, DGEBA/DDS/AMNP, and DGEBA/DDS/EMNP systems respectively. The glass transition temperatures of cured resins were determined with DSC, and the surface morphology of the nanocomposites and also the dispersion of the nanoparticles were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Abstract
Background: Azo dyes are the most widely used synthetic colorants in the textile, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and other industries, accounting for nearly 70% of all dyestuffs consumed. Recently, much research attention has been paid to efficient monitoring of these hazardous chemicals and their related metabolites because of their potentially harmful effect on environmental issues. In contrast to the complex and expensive instrumental procedures, the detection system based on the QDs with the superior optochemical properties provides a new era in the pollution sensing and prevention. Methods: We have developed a QD-enzyme hybrid system to probe MR in aqueous solutions using a fluorescence quenching procedure. Results: The azoreductase enzyme catalyzed the reduction of azo group in MR, which can efficiently decrease the FRET between the QDs and MR molecules. The correlation between the QDs photoluminescence recovery and MR enzymatic decolorization at the neutral phosphate buffer permitted the creation of a fluorescence quenching-based sensor. The synthesized biosensor can be used for the accurate detection of MR in a linear calibration over MR concentrations of 5-84 μM, with the LOD of 0.5 μM in response time of three minutes. Conclusion: Our findings revealed that this fluorometric sensor has the potential to be successfully applied for monitoring a wide linear range of MR concentration with the relative standard deviation of 4% rather than the other method.

Abstract
One of the main limitations for large scale mass production of reduced graphene oxide is the application of some toxic and hazardous reducing agents such as hydrazine and borohydride. In this study, the effectiveness of the l-Cys (HSCH2CH(NH2)CO2H) molecules, as a green amino acid in the GO reduction, as well as its active corrosion inhibition capacity were explored. The l-Cys/GO nanosheets were then modified by trivalent-cerium ions to obtain a nanocarrier with excellent controlled release activity. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and polarization tests were used to measure the smart corrosion inhibition activity of the cerium modified l-Cys/GO nanocarrier in the saline solution and epoxy coating. The results showed that the cerium ions adsorption on the l-Cys/GO nanosheets obeyed a Langmuir isotherm model. The l-Cys/GO sample showed cerium ions adsorption capacity about 66% higher than the unmodified GO nanosheets. Furthermore, the EIS tests results revealed that in the presence of cerium modified l-Cys/GO nanocarriers the improvement in the corrosion resistance of bare steel in the solution phase and coated sample was about 7.5 times (after 24 h) and 950 times (after 40 days) higher than the blank saline solution and the pure epoxy sample, respectively.

Abstract
Epoxy polymer nanocomposites filled with magnetite (Fe3O4) clay (B), named (B-DPA-PANI@Fe3O4) have been prepared at different filler loading (0.1, 0.5, 1, 3, 5 wt. %). The surface modification of clay by polyaniline (PANI) is achieved in the presence of 4-diphenylamine diazonium salt (DPA). The effects of the nanofiller loading on Tensile, mechanical and dielectric properties were systematically studied. Improved properties was highlighted for all reinforced samples. The addition of only 3 wt. % of the filler enhanced the tensile strength of the composites by 256%, and the glass transition temperature Tg by 37%. The dielectric spectra over a broad frequency showed a robust interface between the hybrid (B-DPA-PANI@Fe3O4) fillers and epoxy matrix. The results showed most significant improvement in corrosion inhibition using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in 3.5 wt % NaCl, as well as a significant response in oil sensing test. High charge transfer resistance of 110 × 106 Ω.cm2 using 3-wt % of filler was noted compared to 0.35 × 106 Ω.cm2 for the pure epoxy. The results obtained herein will open new routes for the preparation of efficient anticorrosion sensor coatings.

Abstract
In this work, the effects of dendrimer-functionalized magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4@D-NH2) on improving thermal and mechanical properties in epoxy networks (ENs) are investigated. Magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles are prepared by coprecipitation of iron (II) chloride tetrahydrate with iron (III) chloride hexahydrate. Poly(amido-amine) dendrimer is synthesized by Michael addition reaction from diethylenetriamine with methyl acrylate. The fabricated dendrimer has been used to stabilize and functionalize magnetic nanoparticles. Then, magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles are encapsulated within the dendrimer and subsequently loaded into diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) epoxy resin in two different contents, that is, 5 and 10 wt%. The amine groups of dendrimer-functionalized magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles allow them to be covalently linked to the polymer matrix alongside the main amine hardener. The resulting epoxy/magnetic iron oxide nanocomposites are thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Probing the thermal behaviors of the epoxy/magnetic iron oxide nanocomposites by thermogravimetric analysis indicated that the temperature of 10% decomposition and the temperatures of the maximum decomposition rate values of Fe3O4@D-NH2@EN series increased up to 20 and 10°C, respectively. Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis also indicated that the organo-magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles can lead to an excellent interaction between the nanoparticles and the resulting DGEBA/isophorone diamine ENs.
