Abstract
New solvated Mo(VI) complexes were isolated from the reaction of [MoO2(acac)2] with asymmetric isatin bisthiocarbohydrazone ligands. The ligands were obtained from the reaction of isatin monothiocarbohydrazone with 3,5-dibromo salicylaldehyde (L1), 3,5-dichloro salicylaldehyde (L2) and 3-chloro-5-bromo salicylaldehyde (L3), respectively. In the complexes, the ligands serve as ONS donors and coordinate to the [MoO2]2+ nucleus. The bonding sites are azomethine nitrogen atom, phenolic oxygen atom and thiol sulfur atom. The sixth coordination site is completed by an oxygen atom from an ethanol solvent. The ethanol-coordinated Mo(VI) complexes, C1-C3, [MoO2L(EtOH)] (L: L1-L3), were characterized using elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopies, and conductivity measurements. By crystallizing ethanol-solvated solid complexes from an EtOH/DMSO mixture, DMSO-solvated complexes (C4-C6) suitable for X-ray crystallography were obtained. Crystal structure analysis supports the proposed complex structures and geometries, but the ethanol in the sixth coordination site has been replaced by DMSO. When the anticarcinogenic effects of the ligands and complexes (C1-C3) on the C6 cell line were examined, it was found that the complexes showed higher activity than the ligands. The C3 complex appears to have the best anti-cancer activity compared to doxorubicin. Additionally, all compounds were determined to have high total antioxidant capacity. Data obtained from theoretical studies (DFT and docking) support experimental studies.

Abstract
A new Pd(II) complex, [Pd(PPh3)(L)] (L = 1,5-bis(2-hydroxybenzylidene)thiocarbohydrazone, PPh3 = triphenylphosphine), was synthesized and characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR and UV-Vis spectroscopies and elemental analysis. The molecular structure of [Pd(PPh3)(L)] was confirmed by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction technique. Palladium ion has distorted square planar geometry according to X-ray diffraction studies. The free thiocarbohydrazone (L), potentially a pentadentate ONSNO donor, acted as a tridentate ONS donor. The antioxidant capacity of the free thiocarbohydrazone and Pd(II) complex was determined using the CUPRAC (cupric reducing antioxidant capacity) method. Also, the DPPH method was used to test the free radical scavenging activity of the free thiocarbohydrazone and Pd(II) complex. Antioxidant activity studies showed that free thiocarbohydrazone exhibited better activity than Pd(II) complex.

Abstract
Herein, we report two novel multidentate luminogen proligands bis(3,5-diiodosalicylidene) carbohydrazone (H4L1) and bis(3,5-diiodosalicylidene) thiocarbohydrazone (H4L2), which are suitable candidates for biomedical applications. Though the thiocarbohydrazone H4L2 shows aggregation caused quenching (ACQ), the carbohydrazone H4L1 exhibits stronger fluorescence due to aggregation induced emission enhancement (AIEE). Molecular docking studies of H4L1 and H4L2 along with four similar (thio)carbohydrazones with the active sites of SARS-CoV-2 main protease 3CLpro reveals that the thiocarbohydrazones, in general, are showing better propensity compared to their oxygen analogues. Both the thiocarbohydrazones and the carbohydrazones, however, exhibit better binding potential at the active sites than that of some of the repurposed drugs such as chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, lopinavir, ritonavir, darunavir and remdesivir. Also, the carbohydrazone H4L1 can be a better bioprobe compared to H4L2 as the former is found to have better binding potential with SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein along with AIEE feature.

Abstract
N′-(adamantan-2-ylidene)hydrazinecarbothiohydrazide and 2-(ferrocenyl-1-ylidene) hydrazinecarbothiohydrazide are used in coordination and organometallic complexes. The important idea of the research in this paper is the principal to prepare thiocarbohydrazones from the reaction of 2-acetylferrocene (Fe-Th) or 2-adamantanone (Ad-Th) with carbonothioic dihydrazide. The materials were elucidated by elemental analysis and spectral data. The as-prepared compounds were applied as effective corrosion inhibitors for HCl pickling of C-steel. Detailed investigations on electrochemical (open circuit potential (OCP) vs. time, potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), and impedance spectroscopy (EIS)) techniques and surface morphology studies are introduced in this work. Results indicated that Fe-Th could deliver greater inhibition performance than Ad-Th, and the highest protection capacity values of 93.6% (Ad-Th) and 97.9% (Fe-Th) were accomplished at 200 ppm. The adsorption of Ad-Th or Fe-Th additives followed the Langmuir isotherm with both the chemical and the physical adsorption with chemisorption predominance. EIS measurements supported a betterment in the capacitive behavior with the corrosion inhibitors. The inhibitors exhibited a mixed-type behavior as observed from the PDP studies. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) studies emphasize the occurrence of a protective layer of the as-synthesized organic inhibitors on the C-steel interface. Theoretical studies (density functional theory (DFT) calculations and Monte Carlo (MC) simulations) provide appropriate support for the experimental findings. The existing report provides very significant consequences in formulating and designing novel thiocarbohydrazone inhibitors with high protection efficacy.

Abstract
Although organic compounds account for more than 99% of currently approved clinical drugs, the established clinical use of cisplatin in cancer or auranofin in rheumatoid arthritis have paved the way to several research initiatives to identify metal-based drugs for a wide range of human diseases. Nitrogen and sulfur donor ligands, characterized by different binding motifs, have been the subject in recent years of one of the main research areas in coordination chemistry. Among the nitrogen/sulfur compounds, very little is known about thiocarbohydrazones (TCH), the higher homologues of the well-known thiosemicarbazones (TSC), and their metal complexes. The extra hydrazine moiety provides the ligands of variable metal binding modes, structural diversity and promising biological implications. The interesting coordination chemistry of TCH has mainly been focused on symmetric derivatives, which are relatively simple to synthesize while few examples of asymmetric ligands have been reported. This informative review on TCHs and their metal complexes will be helpful for improving the design of metal-based pharmaceuticals for applications ranging from anticancer to antinfective therapy.
